CFRD의 담수 후 침하 거동 예측 (Settlement Behavior Prediction of CFRD After Impounding)

  • 본 연구에서는 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐의 축조 중 및 담수시 응력-변형해석을 수행하고 매설계기 측정결과와 비교 분석하였으며, 국내 외 23개 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐의 축조 중 및 담수 후 침하 계측자료를 바탕으로 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐의 담수후 변형 거동 특성을 분석하였다. 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐의 담수시 거동 해석결과, 담수에 의하여 연직응력과 침하량은 미소하게 증가하였고, 수평응력 및 수평변위가 하류측으로 다소 증가하는 것으로 나타나고 있으나 댐체의 안정성에 미치는 영향은 크지 않으므로 담수 후 저수위 상승에 따른 댐체의 안정성은 확보하고 있는 것으로 판단된다. 또한, 최량적합기법에 의한 내부침하량으로부터 정부침하량을 구하는 방법을 제안하였으며 향후 국내 콘크리트 표면차수벽형 석괴댐의 설계 시공 및 장기적인 유지관리에 필요한 기초자료로서 활용될 수 있을 것으로 판단된다.

수위변화에 따른 CFRD의 변형거동 사례분석 (A Case Study on Deformation Behaviors of CFRD with Water Level Change)

  • 본 연구에서는 시공이 완료된 CFRD에 대하여 담수시점부터 수위변화에 따른 댐 제체의 변형거동을 파악하기 위하여 현장 모니터링을 통하여 댐의 변위를 분석하고, 이를 수치해석 결과와 비교하였다. 담수에 따른 댐 정상 및 하류사면 제체의 거동을 계측한 결과, 축방향 수평변위, 상 하류측 수평변위, 침하가 대부분 초기 담수로부터 저수위가 댐 높이 절반 정도에 이를 때부터 발생하였다. 그 후 저수위 최고 상승시까지 변위가 진행된 후 수위에 관계없이 일정하게 수렴되는 양상을 보였다. CFRD에서 가장 중요한 역할을 하는 차수벽의 수평변위는 모든 지점에서 비슷한 양상을 보였다. 차수벽의 수평변위는 담수 전 외부온도의 영향으로 동절기에 증가하고 하절기에 감소하는 경향이 있었다. 또한, 담수 후 저수위가 댐 높이 절반 정도에 이를 때까지 변위가 증가한 후 수위상승과 함께 감소하는 경향을 보였다. 결과적으로 차수벽의 거동은 저수위 조건뿐 아니라 담수 후에도 계절적인 변화를 나타내며, 콘크리트 슬래브의 재료적인 특성 영향이 큰 것으로 판단된다. 수치해석 결과 댐 축조 후 최대 침하량과 발생 위치는 실제와 다소의 차이가 있었는데, 이러한 차이는 해석시 입력 매개변수의 추정, 축조일수 및 층 시공두께 등 다양한 설계와 시공의 차이에서 기인한 것으로 판단된다. 그리고 전반적인 기간에 대하여 침하는 댐 축조기간 동안 대부분 완료되었고 담수 초기에 약간의 침하가 발생한 후 수렴되었다.

낙동강 유역의 유역 유출량 산정에 따른 지역별 가뭄 빈도분석 (Regional Drought Frequency Analysis with Estimated Monthly Runoff Series in the Nakdong River Basin)

  • In this study, regional frequency analysis is used to determine each subbasin drought frequency with watershed runoff which is calculated with Tank Model in Nakdong river basin. L-Monments methd which is almost unbiased and nearly normal distribution is applied to estimate paramers of drought frequency analysis of monthly runoff time series. The duration of '76-77 was the most severe drought year than othe rwater years in this study. To decide drought frequency of each subbasin from the main basin, it is calculated by interpolaing runoff from the frequency-druoght runoff relationship. and the linear regression analysis is accomplished between drought frequency of main basin and that of each subbasin. With the results of linear regression analysis, the drought runoff of each subbasin is calculated corresponing to drought frequency 10,20 and 30 years of Nakdong river basin considering safety standards for the design of impounding facilities. As the results of this study, the proposed methodology and procedure of this study can be applied to water budget analysis considering safety standards for the design of impounding facilities in the large-scale river basin. For this purpose, above all, it is recommanded that expansion of reliable observed runoff data is necessary instead of calculated runoff by rainfall-runoff conceptual model.

  • The purpose of this study is to improve the present methodology-for the estimation of optimal water supply from an impounding reservoir. The stochastic reservoir storage model presented in this paper is believed to be rational in that. the probability of reservoir depletion (return period) is to be calculated for the various monthly demands and storage capacities. The monthly flows are used to derive the reservoir storage capacity-monthly demand-probability curves at Dalcheon damsite and Hongcheon damsite in Han river basin.

시공 중 및 담수 후 계측데이터를 이용한 CFRD의 침하량 예측 연구 (A Study on Settlement Prediction of Concrete-faced Rockfill Dam Using Measured Data During Construction and After Impounding)

  • 본 연구에서는 36개의 CFRD에 대한 계측자료(38개 지점)를 통해 댐 축조단계에서 얻어지는 계측자료를 이용하여 담수 후 댐의 정부침하량 및 내부침하량 예측기법을 제안하였다. 전체 데이터에 대한 분석 결과, 댐체의 정부침하량 및 시공 중 최대 내부침하량은 댐체의 높이 및 간극비에 비례하였다. 그러나 내부침하량과 댐 높이에 대한 반대수지 상에서의 선형회귀분석 결과는 간극비에 따른 차이 없이 대단히 유사함을 확인하였다. 또한 CFRD의 시공 중 내부침하량을 통해 정부침하량의 예측이 가능하였으며, 댐체가 조밀할 경우 연직변형계수가 크게 평가됨과 동시에 계곡형상의 영향을 많이 받는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구결과는 향후 CFRD의 설계, 시공, 장기적 유지관리를 위한 유용한 도구가 될 것으로 사료된다.

Assessment of the physico-chemical quality and extent of algal proliferation in water from an impounding reservoir prone to eutrophication

  • Background: Piton du Milieu (PdM) impounding reservoir is suspected to be eutrophic based on the elevated level of orthophosphate and nitrate. Water supplies from three adjacent rivers are primarily thought to contribute to the nutrient enrichment of the reservoir. It is also suspected that there is leaching of orthophosphate, nitrate and organic matter into the rivers during rainfall events and also as a result of anthropogenic activities within the catchment area. The aim of this study was to ascertain the impact of nutrient loading on the water quality of PdM water and on the population of freshwater microalgae in the reservoir. The enumeration and identification of algae from PdM were performed by differential interference contrast microscopy. Dissolved oxygen (DO) and pH were determined by electrometric methods, whereas nutrient levels, silica and total organic carbon (TOC) were determined by instrumentation techniques. Results: Annual mean orthophosphate, nitrate and total organic carbon input from the three feeders within the catchment area of PdM reached levels as high as 0.09 mg/L, 0.4 mg/L and 2.62 ppm respectively. Over a 12-month period, mean TOC concentration in the reservoir was 2.32 ppm while the mean algal cell count was 4601 cells/mL. The dominant algal species identified were Oscillatoria, Cyclotella, Navicula and Cosmarium. Conclusion: This study highlights the trophic state of the reservoir water and clearly points to the need for constant monitoring in order to avoid the occurrence of an impending harmful algal bloom.

  • The paper decribes a procedure for the evaluation of the effect of seepage force on stability of slopes. The stability of an embankment impounding a water reservoir is highly depend upon the location of seepage line with the embankment. To evaluate the accurate safety factor of an embankment, it is important to illustrate the seepage phenomenon. Of particular interest is the stability following a rapid change of reservoir level. 인공신경망기법을 이용한 중심차수벽형 석괴댐의 정부침하량 예측 (Prediction of Crest Settlement of Center Cored Rockfill Dam using an Artificial Neural Network Model)

  • In this study, the settlement data of 32 center cored rockfill dams (total 39 monitored data) were collected and analyzed to develop the method to predict the crest settlement of a CCRD after impounding by using the internal settlement data occurred during construction. An artificial neural network (ANN) modeling was used in developing the method, which was considered to be a more reliable approach since in the ANN model dam height, core width, and core type were all considered as input variables in deriving the crest settlement, whereas in conventional methods, such as Clements's method, only dam height is used as a variable. The ANN analysis results showed a good agreement with the measured data, compared to those by the conventional methods using regression analysis. In addition, a simple procedure to use the ANN model for engineers in practice was provided by proposing the equations used for given input values.

If a piezometer is inserted into a body of embankment, the level to which free water rises is a measure of the energy at that point. From model test result, it is possible to calculate safety factors of earth embankment. To assure the validity of this research, tests were conducted with numerical experimental models. And the experiment models were constructed with slopes of 1:1.0, 1:1.5, 1:2.0, 1:2.5. Analysis of experimental results, seepage force was analyzed according to downstream time, internal friction angle and cohesion, respectively.
