Even though attempts are made to transform from 2D CAD to BIM representation for building design and construction, it were not so successful for practical implementation until recently in construction industry in Korea. However, there is a dramatic change for the use of BIM by collaboration among government, independent organizations as well as industry itself. Government reckons that BIM is an important tool for environment friendly construction and industry competitiveness. The government not only makes national BIM standards and push policies in order to make market environment. Independent organizations such as BuildingSMART Korea does active role to stimulate the transformation process successfully. They act as opinion leaders for the Government to consider BIM implementation for industry competitiveness issue. They make roadmap as well as technical standards and guidelines. It also leads technical developments and supports for its implementation. Government supports researches for the implementation of BIM. The research includes BIM standards, guidelines, linking with existing Architectural Administrative Information Systems, making libraries as well as education. Government makes policy for BIM as a compulsory data for bidding process of newly designed government buildings. Private sector not only agrees BIM as a tool to adapt but also essential methods for its survival in domestic and foreign construction market. Architectural design companies and constructions companies currently develop technical skills and implement BIM for new projects such as Dongdaemoon Plaza that cannot be successfully drawn by conventional methods.

Today, ERP becomes very popular as a vehicle of implementing an integrated information system since this package not only facilitates reengineering but also provides the function of generating consolidated financial statements. Yet a successful introduction strategy on the integrated information system needs to be set up because ERP has weaknesses as well as strengths. The strengths include the prompt reaction to environmental changes, the integrated management of information, the adoption of open systems, and the selection of modules according to functionsl However, the weaknesses of ERP include the provision of only basic functions, the development of package on international standard processes, and possible disadvantages to small and medium-sized firms. This paper is to suggest recommendations on the implementation strategy of ERP as an integrated information system. According to the case study with Firm A that has successfully implemented an ERP package, the most significant advantage of adopting ERP was that Firm A was able to implement an integrated information system for only six months. Finally, this research generates suggestions, such as the importance of the project team structure, the sufficient amount of time for education, and the minimization of the package modification.

Video copy detection methods have emerged in recent years for a variety of applications. However, the lack of efficiency in the usual retrieval systems restricts their use. In this paper, we propose a parallel implementation strategy for content based video copy detection (CBCD) by using a multi-core processor. This strategy can support video copy detection effectively, and the processing time tends to decrease linearly as the number of processors increases. Experiments have shown that our approach is successful in speeding up computation and as well as in keeping the performance.

Much attention currently is being aimed to OA (office automation). OA has a potential for improving management decision making as well as increasing productivity of secretarial and clerical workers. This study construct a model that may be useful to the OA manager, in channeling OA efforts in the right direction. The purpose of this study is to analyze the improtance of critical success strategy for OA implementation, to test 5 hypotheses and 11 subsidiary hypothese of organizational characteristics and OA propulsion characteristics, and to suggest and evaluate a cussess strategy for OA implementation. The population consists of the Korean business in Seoul, 292 response of the 1000 questionaires were available and analyzed. The analytical methods are adopted on the frequency analysis to analyze the general characteristics, the one-way ANOVA, the Pearson's correlation analysis, the regression analysis for the test of the hypotheses.

With the advancement of information technology and the proliferation of e-Business, CRM has been emerging as a powerful concept or strategy for dealing with customer relationship, though not a new concept. Most CRM applications have been focused on business situation where there are direct channels with customers, as in retailing and banking industry, etc. In this paper, we analyze the case of a manufacturing company where the primary concern lies on indirect channels management, such as selling agencies and distributors. Some issues related to the characteristics of the manufacturing company and the interface with ERP and SCM need to be investigated. Based on the consultation project with L company, we propose a successful CRM implementation strategy and point out some issues in implementing the CRM for a manufacturing company.

The impact of a new stadium on the urban context and regional development is significant. Especially where several new stadiums are built for single mega events like the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games or the Soccer World Cup the impact is even higher. Objective of this paper is to identify and analyze the key drivers for sustainable integration of stadiums within the existing context. The level of sustainability is analyzed based on four different categories: urban, social, environmental and economics. Particular focus is on the project management strategy for implementation of the key drivers during pre-design, design and execution. In conclusion key elements of the project management strategy for sustainable integration of a stadium within the urban, environmental, social and economic context are summarized.

The purpose of this study is to certify the actual state of JIT(Just-in-Time) production system's implementation of Korean manufacturing industries and to exhibit the appropriate JIT system considering the company's characteristics, for attain the superior competitiveness. To understand the current situations of JIT system's implementation a questionnaire study is performed. Total 152 valid questionnaires are collected by personal visit and mailing method. All the data is statistically analyzed by SPSS PC+ and SAS program and reviewed to develop a strategy for JIT implementation of Korean manufacturing companies.

This preliminary study held in two Indonesian state-owned enterprises (SOEs) showed empirical evidence that top management commitment was perceived to be the most important critical factor contributing to enterprise resource planning (ERP) implementation success, compared to top management support and top management involvement. Therefore, top management and middle management must continually show commitment during the ERP implementation process. This finding could serve as a reference for further study in a larger number of Indonesian SOEs.

A computationally efficient implementation of the progressive edge-growth algorithm is presented. This implementation uses an array of red-black (RB) trees to manage the layered structure of check nodes and adopts a new strategy to expand the Tanner graph. The complexity analysis and the simulation results show that the proposed approach reduces the computational effort effectively. In constructing a low-density parity check code with a length of $10^4$, the RB-tree-array-based implementation takes no more 10% of the time required by the original method.
