  • In this paper , the simple MPPT(Maximum Power Point Tracking) control algorithm is proposed for the grid-connected photovoltaic power system. This method uses the difference in the slope of the solar array voltage range below the MPP and above the MPP. This simple the algorithm enables the hardware implementation achieved by only analog devices. The proposed MPPT algorithm is verified by the hardware experiment using 500[W] solar away simulator, simplified inverter model hardware set, and rectified grid-line.

  • This paper proposes ADAPTIVE STOCHASTIC ITERATION ALGORITHM that can be used for the full-duplex digital data transmission over existing twisted-pair cables. The canceller step size changes according to the residual echo level. Thus convergence speed increases by an order of magnitude over the conventional stochastic interation alogorithm. And it can be combined with the sequential type adaptive digital filter that simplifies the conventional echo canceller circuit. Thus it is suitable for LSI implementation. Theoretical analysis on two algorithms is carried out and the algorithm simulation program is developed.

  • In this study, a real-time image composition system was implemented using chroma key algorithm. To write a high Quality chroma key function based on processing of foreground and/or background frames before combining them into an output image, Adaptive 3-dimensional surface equation model was proposed. When the bright of room is changed or shadow of object is on the blue screen, proposed algorithm would still produce good result.

  • In this paper, we propose a new beamforming method which is used in Multiple User-Multiple Input Multiple Output (MU-MIMO) system. An experimental system consists of LTE based TDD base-station which has 2 MIMO elements each of which contains 10-array antennas and 2 mobile terminals each of which has a single antenna. We demonstrate that the Multiple Access Interference can further be reduced by appending a beamforming procedure in MU-MIMO system in which various users share a given channel resource. The proposed algorithm is the ordinary Lagrange beamforming algorithm combined with Zero-Forcing. It is demonstrated that the proposed beamforming method outperforms a conventional method which is the ZF at least by 8dB in terms of SNR through computer simulations. From experimental tests, we verify the feasibility of the proposed beamforming algorithm for realizing a practical LTE based TDD base-station for utilizing channel resources more efficiently.

  • The number of automobiles is rapidly increasing , as are the importance of the car as a way of transportation, and the variety of its uses. In these surroundings, a safety, one of the primary factors which must be considered in automotive engineering, demands a system that aids the driver's vision and perception. In this point of view, development of the more promoted system that complement the existing passive method which relies on just man's ability is the important issue of the advanced traffic system including ITS. In this paper, we provide an algorithm and implementation of a control system that warns the collisions ahead and avoids this situation, using informations about the host-car, target-car and surroundings. The warning is made by an algorithm that decides the degree of safely. With this degree of safely, the controller automatically controls a vehicle's speed to a proper level.

  • In this paper, we have proposed a new approach to the design of robot vision system to develop the technology for the automatic test and assembling of precision mechanical and electronic parts fur the factory automation. In order to perform real time implementation of the automatic assembling tasks in the complex processes, we have developed an intelligent control algorithm based-on neural networks control theory to enhance the precise motion control. Implementing of the automatic test tasks has been performed by the real-time vision algorithm based-on TMS320C31 DSPs. It distinguishes correctly the difference between the acceptable and unacceptable defective item through pattern recognition of parts by the developed vision algorithm. Finally, the performance of proposed robot vision system has been illustrated by experiment for the similar model of fifth cell among the twelve cell fur automatic test and assembling in S company.

  • Belief propagation (BP) is a commonly used global energy minimization algorithm for solving stereo matching problem in 3D reconstruction. However, it requires large memory bandwidth and data size. In this paper, we propose a novel memory-efficient algorithm of BP in stereo matching on the Graphics Processing Units (GPU). The data size and transfer bandwidth are significantly reduced by storing only a part of the whole message. In order to maintain the accuracy of the matching result, the local messages are reconstructed using shared memory available in GPU. Experimental result shows that there is almost an order of reduction in the global memory consumption, and 21 to 46% saving in memory bandwidth when compared to the conventional algorithm. The implementation result on a recent GPU shows that we can obtain 22.8 times speedup in execution time compared to the execution on CPU.

  • Abstract - An integrated condition monitoring algorithm based on an expert system was implemented in this work in order to monitor effectively the machine conditions. The knowledge base was consisted of numeric data which meant the posterior probability of each measurement parameter for the representative machine failures. Also the inference engine was constructed as a series of statistical process, where the probable machine fault was inferred by a mapping technology of pattern recognition. The proposed algorithm was, through the user interface, applied for an air compressor system where the temperature, vibration and wear properties were measured simultaneously. The result of the case study was found fairly satisfactory in the diagnosis of the machine condition since the predicted result was well correlated to the machine fault occurred.

  • Vibration disturbances generated by reaction wheels may cause serious problems in high precision pointing spacecraft missions. Implementation of vibration isolator is a practical solution to meet the high pointing stability requirement placed on precision payloads. In this paper, development of hybrid vibration isolator that combines passive and active component is described. Vibration isolation performance of the developed isolator is evaluated using reaction wheel disturbance model. Hybrid isolation results obtained using FxLMS algorithm show clear improvement compared to the results obtained using only passive means.
