  • This paper presents an implementation of a real-time multi-sensor data fusion algorithm for Flight Test Computer. The sensor data consist of positional information of the target from a radar, a GPS receiver and an INS. The data fusion algorithm is designed by the 21st order distributed Kalman Filter which is based on the PVA model with sensor bias states. A fault detection and correction logics are included in the algorithm for bad measurements and sensor faults. The statistical parameters for the states are obtained from Monte Carlo simulations and covariance analysis using test tracking data. The designed filter is verified by using real data both in post processing and real-time processing.

  • Presently, a high frequency switching technique is used for a converter design to reduce its size and weight. However an increased switching frequency introduces a high switching loss. To the reduce switching loss, soft switching techniques using ZVS and ZCS are applied. It is very important to improve efficiency. However In general to develop new converter circuits, the efficiency and other performance parameters can be determined after design, implementation and experiments. The idea in this paper is to determine and predict efficiency and other operating characteristics without realization and experiments. Thereby a complex design and implementation can be avoided. PSPICE is used as a simulation tool. This is verified by comparing simulation and experiments results of the two different soft switching converters.

  • Automated Storage/Retrieval Systems(AS/RS) are widely utilized to increase the efficiency of logistics system. In this paper, to offer the basic data required for the standardization and automation of AS/RS, we look into the conditions of several domestic AS/RS manufacturing companies and examine the national and international market conditions and the technical levels of domestic companies. And also, for the domestic companies, government departments and logistics related organizations, we survey and analyze the present state for the installation, implementation and operation of AS/RS and the related equipment systems, and the degree of recognition for the relational aspects.

  • Various organizational factors effect successful implementation of IT enabled business transformation. Among them, the most critical success factor is deemed to overcoming change management problem. Lots of studies have been made on implementation methodologies and business process formalizations to encourage organizational members to accept new business process changes. However, the logic of process redesign still depends on qualitative problem solving techniques mostly depending on basically human intuition such as brainstorming, cause-and-effect analysis, and so on. In this paper, we develop algorithmic procedure applicable to designing various business process changes such as process automation, business process resequencing, and more radical process integration. The framework is employed from dynamic programming approach in the literature, which is based on the decision making paradigm of organizations to abstract business processes as quantitative decision models. As such, our research can fill the gap of limited development of theory based analytic methodologies for business process design, by providing objective rationale to reach the consensus among the organizational members including senior management.

  • Distributed Group Decision Support System (GDSS) is in the stage between exploration and implementation, there is not unified constructing model. As computer software and hardware, network technique develop, especially the development of object-oriented programming, distributed process, and artificial intelligence, this makes it possible the practical and valid implementation of distributed GDSS. With a view of emphasizing and solving process-supporting, this article discusses how to use the key technologies of network, distributed process, artificial intelligence and man-machine mutual interface, to implement more adaptable, more flexible, and more valid GDSS than before.

  • This dissertation searched for a social function and role of university, and problems of information-oriented universities through the analysis of the present conditions of university ERP systems in Korea. The purpose of this study is to find main success factors by investigating case studies on university ERP systems (university own development systems, Korean ERP systems, foreign ERP systems, etc.) and by referring to documentary records on the existing research. Especially this study observed university management. from an innovative aspect by studying success factors for information-oriented university connecting general functions of universities like education, research, and administration service, etc. This study result will suggest outline effective and practical implementation strategies for university administration information systems.

  • The objective of this study was to evaluate Environmental microbiology (EM) as a basic course for the environmental engineering program of Korea Maritime University which has been accredited by Accreditation Board for Engineering Education of Korea (ABEEK). Evaluation result of the lecture objectives was more than the average (3.5/5.0). The overall score for learning achievement assessment was more than average level of learning achievement (3.4/5.0). Interestingly, engineering design implementation regarding a specific topic as an extensive learning process has proven to be more effective (3.5/5.0). Some of effective class improvement strategies suggested were to encourage students to participate in the class with self-motivation and accountability: preview and review of the lecture, team presentation in English-speaking settings, and submitting project report written in English. In the future class of EM, test and evaluation of application capability of EM and environmental biotechnology (EB) theories to engineering problem solving should be emphasized.
