This study analyzed the portrayal of adult characters in 176 picture books published in Korea by variables of character's external condition(sex, name, age and occupation), type(3-dimensional or flat), conflicts, and image. Standards for analysis of the picture books were devised by the researcher. Results showed that (1) adult male characters appeared much more frequently than female; they appeared most often without names and in order of older, middle aged, young adult. They appeared most often without occupations. (2) 3-dimensional characters appeared much more than flat ones. (3) Adult conflict situations were rare and were mostly interpersonal. They often resolved their conflicts by themselves. (4) The 20 kinds of images of the adult characters were mostly humorous, warm-hearted and attentive.

The purpose of this study was to clarify the symbolic meanings of the beautiful girls' character fashion in modern Japanese animations. This study investigated the currency and characteristics of the beautiful girls' characters from the 80's to the present. The fashion style of a beautiful girl's character was categorized into four styles: trendy style, adult style, Lolita style and fantasy style. These fashion styles were analyzed, and as a result, three symbolic meanings of the fashion style of a beautiful girl's character are discussed. Firstly, these occidentalized body styles represented idealized body images that are not traditionally Japanese. Secondly, the adult style (growth) represented coming out, i.e. the desires to develop from a child into an adult. Thirdly, the adult (transformation), Lolita and fantastic styles appealed to maniac consumers, having a "Moe" feeling.

This study carefully explored today's preferable beauty images, analyzed Korean adult purchasing trends of functional underwear and market analysis of the most popular items and their designs. Information and methods are based largely on reference book material as well as analysis of real domestic data. The paper's research timeline simply spans the last three years, as in accordance with project parameters. Helping improve body shape, foundation literally means 'substructur' and 'base'. The formativeness in these adult foundations typically has three main category classifications. First, natural modern image. This is where we find natural beauty including that which embodies a cool modern sense. Here, you can often see such patterns as either stripes and dots, or simply no patterns at all. Colors are green, red-brown, incarnadine, or khaki from a natural or basic human body color. Its products are marketed as both solid and durable eco-friendly materials, and lace-seethrough. Fashion's natural modern image is undoubtedly the most popular style purchase choice among both genders. Second, sweet romantic image. This mainly consists of two concepts : a sweet and romantic theme, and visual appeal. Patterns include flowers, lips, heart, stars, candies and various other appealing characters. Its main colors are pink, yellow, red, purple, and violet. Products are decorated with laces, frills and ribbons. Since only men's semi-girdles carry such designs, this fashion foundation is largely a women's world. While men show an obvious interest in foundation, they still mostly prefer the choice of natural modern images. Third, mystic sexy image. This is defined as all feminine images of mysterious and classic sexual beauty. Patterns are variously expressed as paisley, flowers, and geometric. Colors are largely purple, blue-green, royal-blue, cobalt, and black. Products are commonly decorated with beading, spangles, hot-fixes and so on. While this image can be found in all kinds of women's foundations, it typically appears only in men's corsets and girdles.

The genus Italochrysa Principi in Korea has been recorded with only one species, I. japonica (McLachlan) so far. Here we report that Italochrysa nigrovenosa Kuwayama is recognized for the first time in Korea. Specific description, a key based on diagnostic characters, and adult and genital images of the species are provided.

Kidult trend has continued to influence diverse areas such as fashion, advertisement, interior, cosmetics, and so on in the modern age. As combined word of kid and adult, a Kidult is an adult who participates in youth culture and activities traditionally intended for children. This study intends to check out how the phenomenon of Kidult trend is exhibited in fashion area as well as to develop fashion design for kidult inspired by the images shown in an amusement park. The method of study is two-fold. One is a critical review of previous literature and the other is a development of fashion design based on it. The literature study is referred to books of fashion, books of trend and data collected through internet, and design results are presented using mainly quilting and knitting techniques. The results are as follows. Firstly, a kidult fashion was expressed playful and interesting by the sensibilities of kidults that hope to return to the innocence of childhood reminiscing about the good old days. Secondly, a characteristic of the fashion design for kidults is to display the innovative and diverse design with exaggerated expression and a broad spectrum of colors. One's own unique style can be developed through memories and fantasies from fairy tales in childhood. Thirdly, themes of amusement parks were an appropriate means to show the characteristics of the kidults. A variety of characters and buildings and shapes of the rides in the amusement parks were useful for the design motive targeting for the customers with the kidult characteristics and images of fashion and accessories design. Fourthly, inspired by the amusement parks, the work in this research has presented the new kidult styles designed as various forms combining inner feelings that seek distinctive and unique styles and amusement features.

This paper focalizes on the 'evolution' of monster animation and . Actually, Many characters' 'Evolution' is a very powerful convention of Japanese genre animation. Lots of young people feel a huge pleasure about character's evolution. It is a fantastic spectacle to boys and girls. The first characteristic point of characters' evolution is growing-up body to an adult. For example, magical girls genre shows a woman's sexy body. This scene gives a sexual fantasy to young girl spectators, a voyeuristic visual pleasure to young boy spectators. The second point is that a transforming-body gains some super power or magical power. The third point is that a great many characters is in one text. In , characters' numbers go on increasing through 6 ways-hybrid type, mutant-reiteration type, metamorphosis type, simple-grownup type, narrative type, multiple evolution type. The evolution of has to pay attention to only one transforming way. Most Digimon characters are becoming to a human-weapons cyborg. In my opinion, this is very dangerous phenomenon with a political ideology.

The purpose of this study is to analyze the images of children and adults that is reflected in TV commercial advertisements. For this purpose, 241 public TV advertisements were collected from the domestic ads information sites. The analysis criteria used for this study was the one modified from the ads analysis tool developed by Young-hee Ha(2011). The results showed that the number of ads employing the child model was varied according to the product item. The child model appeared the most in the ads for food/beverage and secondly, the ones for computer/electric home appliances. Furthermore, the child model behaved very similarly to the adults in the ads, especially in the aspect of positive communication. And both adult and a child models tended to have the main role in ads. Regarding the relationships among model characters, cooperative relationship between an adult and a child appeared the most and there were lots of family relationships. The results imply that a child in our society is becoming a considerable family member referred for making decision in purchasing commercial products. In addition, it is discussed that the child's image reflected in the ads would have influence on a child viewer's self image.

Cephalometric superimposition is unable to evaluate tooth movement along the occlusal plane and the errors of photographing and superimposition of the occlusogram is also inevitable. The purpose of the present study was to evaluate the rotational movements of the maxillary posterior teeth following space closure after extraction of maxillary first premolars. using 3D dental images. In 19 adult females. analysis of rotational movements of the maxillary posterior teeth was performed between the initial and final 3D dental images superimposed on the maxillary hard palate. The results showed a diversity of rotational movements of posterior teeth. The causes of various rotational movements may be different rotation of molars in each case at the beginning of treatment. individual characters of the dental arch and tooth morphology. The results of the study indicate that accurate evaluation of rotational movements of posterior teeth following space closure after extraction of premolars using 3D dental images can be obtained through the subdivision of tooth movement during the initial aligning, space closure and finishing stages.
