의미분별법에 의한 초등학생의 소프트웨어 이미지 분석 (Analysis of Software Image using Semantic Differential Scale in Elementary School Students)

  • 본 연구는 소프트웨어에 대해 초등학생들이 가진 이미지를 의미분별법을 이용하여 분석하였다. 검사의 항목은 총 35쌍의 소프트웨어 이미지 형용사를 선정하여 요인분석을 통해 7개의 주요인으로 구분하고 초등학생을 대상으로 조사하였다. 성별 간 SW이미지를 분석한 결과 남학생보다는 여학생이 소프트웨어를 어렵고 복잡하게 여기며 느리고 갖고 싶지 않다는 인식을 보였다. 또한 소프트웨어에 대한 자기 인식의 분석 결과 소프트웨어에 대해 잘 안다고 인식할 경우 소프트웨어에 대한 긍정적인 용어를 선호하고 있었다. 학년간 분석에서 고학년이 될수록 소프트웨어를 어렵고 복잡하며 소프트웨어의 객관적인 특징에 대한 답변을 하였다. 본 연구를 통해 소프트웨어 교육이 정규교과로 안착되는데 필요한 방향을 안내하였다.

비젼시스템을 이용한 토양미생물 관측장비 개발 (Development of Observation Equipment for Soil Microorganisms Using Vision System)

  • Observation of microorganisms collected from contaminated soils has been mainly conducted by using microscopy. Microscopic measurement is occupied an important part of the microorganism experiment, and is used as an important tool to count microorganisms as well as to observe cellular form and mode of life in the field of soil microbe observation. In general, observation equipments for soil microbes consist of electron microscope, camera, frame grabber (image acquisition baud), and image analysis software. Because image analysis software should be linked with frame grabber most equipments have to be imported as the package form. Therefore, the observation system is very expensive and difficult to be operated. In this study, soil microbes' observation equipment with the vision system which is easy operated and cheaper than imported one was developed and tested. The efficiency of image capturing and data aquisition with developed frame grabber and software in this experiment was good enough to analyze the image of soil microorganism.

Development of Dark Field image Processing Technique for the Investigation of Nanostructures

  • We propose a custom analysis technique for the dark field (DF) image based on transmission electron microscopy (TEM). The custom analysis technique is developed based on the $DigitalMicrograph^{(R)}$ (DM) script language embedded in the Gatan digital microscopy software, which is used as the operational software for most TEM instruments. The developed software automatically scans an electron beam across a TEM sample and records a series of electron diffraction patterns. The recorded electron diffraction patterns provide DF and ADF images based on digital image processing. An experimental electron diffraction pattern is recorded from a IrMn polycrystal consisting of fine nanograins in order to test the proposed software. We demonstrate that the developed image processing technique well resolves nanograins of ~ 5 nm in diameter.

  • In AI image generation tools, most general users must use an effective prompt to craft queries or statements to elicit the desired response (image, result) from the AI model. But we are software engineers who focus on software processes. At the process's early stage, we use informal and formal requirement specifications. At this time, we adapt the natural language approach into requirement engineering and toon engineering. Most Generative AI tools do not produce the same image in the same query. The reason is that the same data asset is not used for the same query. To solve this problem, we intend to use informal requirement engineering and linguistics to create a toon. Therefore, we propose a sequence diagram and image generation mechanism by analyzing and applying key objects and attributes as an informal natural language requirement analysis. Identify morpheme and semantic roles by analyzing natural language through linguistic methods. Based on the analysis results, a sequence diagram and an image are generated through the diagram. We expect consistent image generation using the same image element asset through the proposed mechanism.

  • The term molecular imaging can be broadly defined as the in vivo characterization and measurement of biologic processes at the cellular and molecular level. Optical imaging that has highly reproducibility and repetition used in molecular imaging research. In the bioluminescence imaging, animals carrying the luciferase gene are imaged with a cooled CCD(Charge-Coupled Device) camera to pick up the small number of photons transmitted through tissues. Molecular imaging analysis will allow us to observe the incipience and progression of the disease. But hardware device for molecular imaging and software for molecular image analysis were dependent on imports. In this paper, we suggest image processing methods and designed software for bioluminescence signal analysis. And we demonstrated high correlation(r=0.99) between our software's photon counts and commercial software's photon counts. ROI function and processing functions were accomplished without error. This study have the importance of the development software for bioluminescence image processing and analysis. And this study built the foundations for creative development of analysis methods. We expected this study lead the development of image technology.

Mainframe 컴퓨터를 활용한 위성영상 처리 소프트웨어 개발 (Development of Satellite Image Processing Software on Mainframe Computer)

  • A study to develop generalized and systematically designed satellite image processing software system on mainframe computer was successfully carried out. Commercially available softwares such as LARSYS were analyzed and modified, and well known satellite data processing algorithms were implemented into comprehensive software. New algorithms were also presented and developed. The contents of developed softwere system may be divided into 8 major sections: menu and user interface, data file management, preprocessing, enhancement in monochrome image, multi-dimension image analysis, scene classification, image display/hardcopy, image handle utility software. Some additional software such as GIS and DBMS will make this software more comprehensive and generalized one for the satellite data processing.

  • This paper presents a method for soccer scene analysis and coordinate transformation from scene to ground model using a priori knowledge. First, the ground and spectator regions are separated, and various objects are extracted from the separated ground region. Second, an affine model is used for mapping the object positions on the soccer image into the position on the ground model. Problems regarding holes arising from mapping processing are solved using inverse mapping instead of a usual interpolation method. Experiments are performed on a PC using about 100 RGB images acquired at 240*640 resolution and 3∼5 frames per second.

Software Analysis and Design of the Image Acquisition Subsystem Using the Unified Modeling Language

  • Geospatial database, which is the basis for Geo-Spatial Information Systems, is produced by conventional mapping methods. Recently, with increased demand for digital forms of the geospatial database, studies are carried out to automate its production. The automated mapping system is composed of the image acquisition subsystem, positioning subsystem, point referencing subsystem and the visualization subsystem. The image acquisition subsystem is the most important part of the overall production line because it is the starting point and will affect all subsequent processes. This paper presents a software analysis and design of the image acquisition subsystem. The design was carried out using the Unified Modeling Language which is a modeling method used extensively in the software engineering field.

Sprague Dawley Rat의 미세병변에서 Moire Artifact를 제거하기 위한 Grid suppression software 사용 후 영상분석 (Image Analysis Using Grid Suppression Software to Remove Moire Artifact from Micro Lesions of Sprague Dawley Rat)

  • Moire artifact는 미세병변과 주파수 대역이 중첩되기 때문에 moire artifact를 제거하는 Image processing software를 사용할 경우 미세 병변의 손실을 가져올 수 있다. 본 연구에서는 SD(Sprague Dawley) Rat에 microcalcification과 microfracture와 같은 미세병변을 임의로 형성하여 영상화하고, reference 영상과 grid suppression software를 사용한 영상, optimizied grid 영상을 비교 분석하였다. 영상은 두 명의 영상의학과 전문의가 컨소시엄을 형성하여 판독하였고, 판독 결과 값은 McNemar's test 이용하여 평가하였다. 73개의 microcalcifications 중 Grid suppression후 13 cases에서, optimized grid를 사용한 영상은 3 cases에서 영상의 손실이 확인되어 Grid suppression후의 영상이 통계적으로 유의하게 영상 손실을 발생하고 있음을 보여주고 있다(p=0.021). 총 53개의 fracture line은 Grid suppression을 시행한 후 영상에서 19 cases가 영상의 손실을 보였고, optimized grid를 사용한 영상에서는 영상손실이 없는 것으로 판독되었다. 따라서 미세병변을 진단하는 영상에 있어 moire artifact를 제거하기 위한 grid suppression software 사용은 신중하게 고려되어야 할 것이다.

Digital Image Comparisons for Investigating Aging Effects and Artificial Modifications Using Image Analysis Software

  • In the digital era, large archives of information and Internet accessibility make information search, including image search, easier and affordable, even from remote locations. Information transmission and sharing can be performed instantly, at any moment. In the case of images, there are risks of transmitting and recklessly sharing intentionally modified images. Such modified images can also be transmitted and used as an additional source of information by followers. In this study, historical portraits of Yu Kil-Chun are shown, who was the first Korean student to study in both Japan and the United States. He was an intellectual, writer, politician, and independence activist of Korea's late Joseon Dynasty. Using image processing software, the portrait images were compared to investigate aging effects and artificial modifications. Statistics of red (R), green (G), blue (B), and L*, a*, and b* values of every pixel in the selected identical areas of the portraits were compared to identify possible causes of variations, including aging effects and artificial modifications. Sepia toning, used in black and white photographs until the 1930s, and modern digital sepia toning can be very confusing owing to their aging effects. The importance of preservation of physical copies and preservation of context (interconnections between data and between documents) is discussed from archiving and conservation science perspectives.
