Chosun regime, when it replaced the predecessor of Koryo, had to create political ideological system for new integration of the people. The new system, based on Confucianism, replaced religious values of Buddhism with educational ones. In this educational-ideological system, educational objects were mostly limited in character education's. Its goal was 'restoration of good nature'. For the principal agent of educational process, teacher had the initiative. These traits of educational system can be understood as an 'nature-unfolding perspective' or 'formal discipline perspective'. Moreover, the idea of 'teacher shall be served like prince' seems to be ground of political authoritarianism. In this respects, political traits of traditional education system can be restraining elements for developing independent individuality and free citizenship among Korean people. However, traditional teacher was not only authoritarian trainer. As 'a follower of truth and good', he was equal to his disciples. Teacher learned by teaching them. Students could be colleagues of their teacher. And the main traits of traditional education, focusing character development and community consciousness, are still important, in particular, to modern Korean educational and societal environment wanting in humane and participating citizenship.
Korean-Japanese architect Itami Jun that proceeded with primeval architecture based on analogue ideas in the digital era realizing nomad architecture is delivering a totally different meaning in the modern time. Not like the Japanese architectural community equipped with rich technologies showed state-of-the-art architecture after 1980s, Itami Jun' formative consciousness intending to assimilate nature from the original position of things is thought to have started from the relationship with Korean-Japanese painters leading MONO-HA desiring to look at the world as it is and approach the source of existence. The purpose of this study is to analyze the spatial characteristics from the viewpoint of 'Theory of Meeting' which is the essence of the work theory of Lee UFan that made the theoretical foundation of MONO-HA to understand Itami Jun's architectural space in the ideological aspect. Although the characteristics of marginal men appearing in Itami Jun's architectural space as others located on the boundary between Korea and Japan, art and architecture, and functions are valuable research objects, they have not been studied in the aspect of source, so it is needed to research his works and the source of the spatial ideas that led his works. Based on Theory of Meeting claiming that the world becomes the place of experience by the medium of objet which is the structure of meeting, and that human beings can meet the truly opened world by self-awareness through body, the expressive characteristics of Itami Jun's interior space was analyzed. As a result of the analysis, it turned out that Itami Jun's interior space actively expressed Theory of Meeting on the unity of structure and space, and on the trans-boundary by the medium of objet. Conclusively, this study suggests that, in the reality of the modern interior design full of technology-intensive designs, analogue approach moving in the opposite way from technologies could be a better expressive method of design delivering the fundamental human emotions.
The purpose of this study is to examine the design characteristic of the facade of the main adminstration building in university. The main administration building which is a basic of educational facilities has various administration setups, such as the register's office, the student affairs section, the planing department, the general affair's office and so on. This building performs academic, administration, facilities management, and admissions service. Also, the building has an ideological, historical, and symbolic image, having an organic relationships with the other educational facilities. This study choose one hundred seven universities, except universities that does not provide information easily and the second campus which does not have the main administration building, as the subjects of the study. The analysis is derived from the design elements applied to facade design of the main administration building and this is divided into design principles(balance symmetry, contrast, rhythm), the formal composition(geometrical, linear), and the style of architecture(classical architecture and modern architecture). The results of the research are summarized as follows: The design characteristic of the facade of the main adminstration building in university has chronologically changed. First of all, in the 1940's, symmetry emphasized on the center of building, superimposition, division, pediment, and arch were marked. Then, superimposition was prominent in the 1950's and symmetry emphasized on the center of building was shown in the 1960s again. Flat roof was in the 1970's, 1990s and 2000's. Finally, pediment was dominant in the 1980's. The design elements of the main administration building can be samples of chronological styles of architecture. Facade design, with proper design of the past and recent times, includes the meaning that achieve the great purpose of the university by emphasizing visual images.
The objective of this study is to understand bodily extension and identity in contemporary fashion art through the analysis of 'the fashion acting on the body' among the fashion theory excluding body and the conspicuous works on the opening and covering images as a fashion art as a body-space'. This study also investigated identity problems where there are poles apart in opening and closure their bodies and body-space in which its clothing types were distorted by being de-bodilization out of the traditional and ideological expression method in contemporary fashion art from a opening and closure point of view. Image of opening and closure among body-space in fashion art can be classified into opposing structure of opening and closure. Destroying the boundary between bodily opening and closure for a primary function of clothing and dismantling the role and boundary between body and clothing, opening body-space in appearance as a reemergence of body image or the border between inner and outer are being ambiguous because of transparent material. Being representative work of this study opening body-space was expressed as an opening space image using transparency. On the contrary, closure body-space was isolated from external environment and confined in the certain space, which could limit or restraint body- action. Excluding boundary of body and clothing on the whole or in part, boundary of work becomes body-space. However, these were appeared to be a work inducing unlimited curiosity and meaning from the audience. The interpretation of artistic and body-space in fashion art are indicating the role and function of the fashion art exceeding the suggestible dimensions in the every day life of fashion. The body-space of fashion art showing similar aspect of body art today could be understood that it is substituted into an metaphorical, critical space by seeing it as a symbol system connected with social space. Therefore, contemporary fashion art should be interpreted as an equivocal space looking at the body-space with open mind.
This paper examined the immanent ideological bases in the transformation motif of animations, focusing on several leading animation works in which a human gets transformed into an animal, or vice versa, and also took a look at what meaning and function this transformation motif adds to their narrative. As a result of analyzing the animation texts centered on the transformation motif, transforming into an animal in is applied as a means for punishment. It shows the notion that the animals need men's care, that is, the anthropocentric point of view that the animals need to be overcome and conquered had a strong influence upon this work. However, in , a boy realizes that the animals(nature) are not the targets to conquer and learns to appreciate the principle of Mother Nature through the process of becoming a bear. By this description, this work shows deep reflection on nature and human being. Lastly, shows a desire to overpass the border to forbidden things, and describes the relationship between men and animals(nature) in a variety of perspectives. Furthermore, this study examined how the variety of attitudes toward the transformation targets is formed in each work.
Fashion is a cultural element expressing general and common aesthetic awareness in a relevant region in the relevant times. On the aspect that shoes are also a part of fashion reflecting the unique aesthetic awareness of Korea, this paper aims to analyze the aesthetic awareness contained in the aesthetic features observed in the traditional boots. The aesthetic features in terms of the form were the balanced usage of each element including curves, straight lines, simple shapes, contrast colors and materials, and the application and ideological significance as the symbol of social position and status in terms of the contents. Aesthetic awareness pursues the beauty of moderation through the compromise between curves and straight lines, as both elements accept each other's features and keep balance without inclination to one element. Next, solid and void are naturally expressed by appropriately adjusting the expression on colors, materials and shapes through the harmony of composure and techniques. While traditional boots were used as the sign indicating social position and status as the unity of spirit and a thing, they pursue the value of rhythmic vitality by giving spiritual meaning to a thing.
The purpose of this study is textile design development of the golf wear for international game in which it can inform the status of Korea through the visualization of the national symbolic image, and for this we developed the motive of modern Taeguk motive. According to an increase of popularization of the golf wear and participation of international game, the status of our country needs to be enhanced by developing the motive which the Korea symbolic pattern applied and applying to the golf wear, and it needs to contribute to the fashion industry through commercialization. 'Taeguk' is love with ideological concept and the Korea Founding Principles. The symbolic characteristic in which it represents the Korean image is clear. We presented applicable modern direction based on the figurative features and meaning of traditional pattern. The result of modernized Taeguk motive application to golf wear, effect of our country symbol showed up on a large scale in case of using single motive. And the pattern in which many arrangement methods are applied was more effective that it applies as the part of the detail than the front construction. In addition, we consider that It makes a large contribution to the fashion industry's development by application of fashionable pattern added in applied motive to golf wear.
The respect for human dignity and worth is to purpose both the ideological premise and the guarantee of all the fundamental rights at the same time. Both freedom and rights which are necessary for obtaining those purposes should be guaranteed. "A human has dignity and worth as a human being" is that a nation exists for an individual between an individual and a nation. It declares democratic ideology. It becomes a ultimate standard to solve a problem of the interpretation of an article of a law and the effect of a law. The right to pursue one's happiness is necessary to persue one's happiness. The rights comprehensively covers even the freedom and the right without in an article of a law. It shows a positive rights like a social fundamental rights in a minimum level of a law. According to the precedent of the Constitutional Court, as the right to pursue one's happiness is in area of a common action, the free manifestation of the authoritative individuality, and self-determination in category, this study is to emphasize the importance of the right to pursue one's happiness throughout its meaning and the precedent of history legislation.
This study is aimed at the necessity application in 'Prototype' general concept on discovering cultural identity landscape of our national characteristics landscape research. Accordingly, It is considered landscape, fundamental concept, the prototypal landscape concept from previously researches that have been used. At the same time, the concept of prototypal landscape has been established by commenting a point of view which is defining previous researches that controverted prototypal landscape, then establish concept of prototypal landscape and derive attribute by comparing and considering similar terminology of prototypal landscape. Previously, research prototypal landscape in depth by applying defined concept of prototypal landscape and considering inherence ideological and environmental background prototypal figure and structure. Formation pattern of the prototypal landscape is classified in both philosophical formative primary factor from philosophy, religion and environmental formative factor of human that accumulated cultural life from a region and life. Examples of forming the prototypal landscape by philosophical formative factor are classified as 'Feng-Shui(the theory of divination based on topography)', 'Yin-Yang theory', 'Confucian idea theory' 'Philosophical Taoism', 'Buddhism theory' and 'Nature theory' then environmental formative factor are interpreted by 'Taekliji(determining of advantageous land)', 'Imwon(forest) economical geography', 'land use', 'topography' and 'terrain' as examples. This study is anticipating a new point of view and an establishment of reliable preservation to our characteristic of the prototypal landscape by considering concept of prototypal landscape and formative factor as studying limits of prototypal landscape and researching concentrated origination of the prototype.

This study was intended to clarify the landscape characteristics of the Sosewon Gaden through interpreting the Kim, In Hu's 48 poems(in Chinese characters) which clearly represented the landscape image of th user about this garden by selecting the cultural position of how then the users of the garden interpreted and manipulated its landscape rather than the scientific position. The following were the results from the analysis and review of the review of the woodcut and the 48 poems through names and scenic element. 1. When analyzing the names, those names due to the human experience were the most. This revealed that sensitive perception and experience was emphasized in the garden life. 2. It was important that can be experienced as nature and human beings come in contact each other at stream. 3. The landscape of the Sosewon Garden empasized not only the elements of the form and their combination but also on the unusual experience of human behavior and climatic element. The elements of the form which was recognized as the subject of poet was regarded as the cultural one of this garden and had an ideological background to convey the meaning of the landscape. 4. The Sosewon Garden was divided into four characteristic spaces as it is considered in terms of the sense of place represented in the 48 poems; the approach space, the space for poetic recital, the ideal space, and the space of pleasure.
