  • The aesthetics of current dermatology clinics are the main space of dermatology, which is gradually becoming an area of specialty. Paths requiring spatial transition due to the expansion of treatment field in dermatology clinics are currently emerging, meaning that the duty to provide medical and aesthetic environment with high spatial connection must be accompanied. Contrary to past clinics where only functional aspects were emphasized, current clinics require a differentiated environment that considers both aspects of function and aesthetics, centered on the patient. The purpose of this research in this perspective is to study the efficient connection between dermatology and aesthetics, while also analyzing identity factors to indicate design factors differentiated from other functional spaces, to apply them as preliminary data for the planning of dermatology clinics. Based on the above, six dermatology clinics located in Seoul were designated for case studies through field studies. Overall, Aesthetics connected to dermatology clinics legally must have separate business registrations and have alternative entrance ways. Currently however, there were many cases where entrance, waiting, reception and receipt were not separated. there were efforts to partially display identities when analyzing design factors that formed the identity of dermatology clinics. However, there were insufficient cases where visual communication factors such as a clinic's spatial identity, logo, signing system, and applied products were integrated into a coherent theme. At this point when dermatology clinics are becoming brands, all fields must merge for integrated identity effects that go beyond the boundaries of contemporary H.I, to clearly display their identity with the clinics' professional image and consistent concept.

It will be foundation of sustainable urban development with strategy that secures world-wide competitive power. For this, sample cases that established identity from urban regeneration were reviewed about the main subject and the supporting subject in business side and hardware, software, system, and finance in design factors. 4samples each in inheritance intensification type and change creation type were selected and analyzed. The result said it is most effective to establish urban identity when inheritance intensification type is the private-centered for urban regeneration. And it is better to do the project that the main subject and the supporting subject are taken by the private or the private-leading partnership. It is necessary to manage the region and plan events with software design factors more than hardware design factors. In addition, for urban identity, it was found to be desirable to utilize and preserve fully current resources such as historical scenery and activate the communities than making new facilities. On the contrary, the project based on change creation type needs to be under the public management with innovative idea. Also, when it comes to design factors, facilities related to culture and art and community spaces should open and run actively. It is important for the region to improve its image by New design style such as TOD. In software side, it is important to manage the region by monitoring about urban regeneration business and solve social mix and employment problem. On the other hand, in terms of system and administration, both types don't show a difference in urban identity establishment, since it is same that both should make partnership and get a support of subsidy to be most effective.

  • University Identity can effectively convey the core values for which schools aim by establishing university identity and integrating one unique image. Therefore, most universities are actively implementing promotional strategies such as newly defining university identity or releasing cultural products. Recently, university brands have been continuously exposed and differentiated through SNS such as Instagram, YouTube, and Facebook as well as existing advertisements and homepages. This study analyzes the identities of the top 80 universities in Korea and China, by referring to the rankings of Asian universities in the 2021 QS World University Rankings, and addresses differences in terms of design shape, number of colors, and use of English. Moreover, 'Cohen's Kappa' consistency analysis was applied to secure data accuracy by analyzing the difference in visual expression of university identity between the two countries through quantification and cross-analysis of visualized university identity design of Korean and Chinese universities. As a result of the study, it is creative, irregular, and has a lot of use of blue, red, and green, and most of them can be seen in less than two colors. In addition, it turns out that word marks and abstract forms of expression are used for university identity design. This study can present implications as effective basic data for internationalizing universities and creating differentiated university identity designs in the future.

  • This study puts its purpose on presenting an integral system of representative urban landscapes, public design and colors, in practicing urban design in the context of local identity. An integral design of public design that successfully plans and executes local identity, and changes recognition of integral management of urban design, is suggested as followings. Firstly, when the catchment area is divided in metropolitan area, it should be reset according to the natural environment condition regardless of administrative area system like city and county. It is the method to classify the metropolitan area by researching and analyzing geographical condition, weather condition, soil and vegetation in detail and subclassify it by the visual commonness of natural environment. Secondly, it is necessary to access the urban landscape, public design and urban color from the overall aspect emphasizing the plan for each field and local identity. They should be practiced by the role and category of each field on the basis of consistent design strategy and instruction but the cooperation system is required as a process to reinforce and specify the mutual limit. Thirdly, the artificial structure is constructed through artificial adjustment depending on the urban formation process and the development time point. Therefore, it is necessary to pay attention to the rapid urban development, the change speed and the landscape formation of each age. It is necessary to classify the type of artificial landscape by age and form similarity and separate the area that should be generalized and controlled by entire metropolitan area form the area that should be specialized by basic local government.
