제어시스템 설계를 위한 전문가 시스템 (An expert system for control system designs)

  • This paper describes the development of an expert system for control system designs. Our CACSD expert system consists of 2 parts; one is the knowledge manager and the other is the CACSD package. The knowledge manager contains the inference engine and the control experts' knowledge. The CACSD package consists of the control algorithms used by the knowledge manager. The prototype system of our CACSD expert system is implemented on the IBM PC/AT and the results of tests are given in this paper.

  • In this paper, the BTR (Behind the Tape Reader) type communication unit which interfaces the IEBM PC/XT to the FANUC 5M NC controller is developed, making it possible to send NC part program from the memory of IBM PC/XT to the NC controller. As an example of integration of CAD and CAM technologies, the machining of a two dimensional hand-written free line which incorporates the processes of geometric data acquisition using a digitizing tablet, automatic part programming and control of NC milling machine operation is demonstrated.

  • This paper represents identification and control designs using neural networks for a class of nonlinear dynamic systems. A proposed neuro-controller is a combination of a linear controller and a neural network, and is trained by indirect neuro-control scheme. The proposed neuro-controller is implemented and tested on an IBM PC-based bar system, and is applicable to many dc-motor-driven precisiion servo mechanisms. The ideas, algorithm, and experimental results are described. Experimental resutls are shown to be superior to those of conventional control.

  • Failure analysis is fundamental to the design and development methodology of electrostatic discharge (ESD) devices and ESD robust circuits. The role of failure analysis (FA) in the models, methodology, band mechanisms evaluation for improving ESD robustness of semiconductor products in CMOS, silicon-on-insulator (SOI) and silicon germanium (SiGe) technologies will be reviewed.

  • An early step toward evaluating a predicted RNA secondary structure is to visualize the predicted structure in graphical form. This talk will present an algorithm for efficiently drawing RNA secondary structures. The algorithm represents the direction and space for a structural element using vector and vector space, and generates nearly overlap-free polygonal displays. The algorithm and a graphical user interface have been implemented in a working program called VizQFolder on IBM PC compatibles.

  • 1986년 IBM 취리히연구소의 알렉산더 뮐레와 게오르그 베드노르츠가 세라믹과 같은 물질인 란탄 바륨 산화동이 당시로서는 기록적으로 높은 온도인 절대온도 35도(34K, 섭씨 -238도)에서 초전도현상을 일으킨다는 것을 처음으로 발견한 이래 10년의 세월이 흘렀다. 당시만 해도 고온초전도체라는 새로운 소재가 세계의 모습을 바꿀지도 모른다는 매스컴의 대대적인 보도와 함께 고온초전도기술연구의 뜨거운 열기는 한때 온 세계를 뒤덮다시피 했다. 그 뒤 초전도기술의 실용화연구는 이런저런 걸림돌과 부딪치면서 차츰차츰 일반의 관심 밖으로 밀려났으나 실제로는 그동안의 줄기찬 연구개발의 소산으로 마침내 고온초전도 실용화시대가 저만큼 성큼 다가서고 있다.

  • In this paper, a direct drive scalar robot manipulator is constructed and its mechanical machanism for operation is explained. Also, a motion controller board for the direct drive robot manipulator was developed where the IBM 486 computer is the main controller. For the developed direct drive robot, a force/motion control algorithm based on an active compliance scheme is developed. A preliminary experiment using the developed direct drive for a peg-in-hole job was done by implementing the control algorithm.

  • This paper presents a method for automatic part feature recognition from the database of AutoCAD system for automatic process planning input. The parts considered in this study are primastic parts composed of faces perpendicular to the X, Y, Z axes and the types of features considered are through steps, blind steps, through slots, blind slots, and pockets. Features are recognized by using the concept of convex points and concave points. The software program is coded by using Turbo Pascal on the IBM PC/AT.

  • The information with regard to the working rance of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition is managed as detabase system for turning operation. Date with regard to the working range of lathe, cutting tool, cutting condition are stroed by the DBMS(Data Base Management System) and can be added, modified, deleted and retrieved. Data stored in database system are searched to select the most proper cutting tool and cutting condition with the input data fed from the design stage. The system developed in this work is operated by the pull down menu on the IBM PC/AT personal computer, or compatible series.

  • 마이크로프로세서가 점점 더 고집적화 되어감에 따라 가장 중요한 반도체 제조 기술 중 하나인 로광시 초점 심도를 맞추기 위해 웨이퍼의 광역 평탄화가 요구되어 왔다. 화학 기계적 연마기술(CMP: Chemical Mechanical Polishing)은 80년대 중반 IBM에 의해 제안된 이후 이러한 요구를 만족시키기 위해서 마이크로프로세서산업에 있어서 필수 기술로 자리매김 되고 있다. 화학 기계적 연마기술은 연마 결과에 영향을 미치는 인자가 많아 체계적인 기술로 발전되지 못하고 경험적인 기술에 머물러 있는 단계이다.(중략)
