Design of a graphical operating system for the NC controller (NC용 graphical OS 설계)

  • In this paper, an operating system is designed for NC controllers. Host computer is the IBM-PC, and the controller panel is designed in graphics mode to look easily for users. Pull-down menu is selected, which is useful to minimize a mistake made by users, so users can use NC controller more effectively. Also, many functions are proposed, such as NC editor for programming the NC program directly, simulation function for testing editted NC program, and new key-pad that appropriates for the functions of OS.

  • 본 논문에서는 연속 공정자동화를 위한 시스템 제어장치 중 공정의 제반운영 및 제어상태를 감시하기 위하여 공정상태를 나타내는 여러가지의 data를 그래픽 모니터상에 graphics로 표시해 주는 User Interface System인 Operator Terminal의 설계 및 구현을 다룬다. 이를 위하여 Operator Terminal은 출력장치로 VGA board와 color monitor, 입력장치로는 mouse와 function keyboard, 통신을 위한 RS232C serial port를 갖는 IBM-PC AT급의 mother board로 구성된다. 또한 program 저장은 상위 computer의 HDD를 이용한다. 그래픽 편집 및 모니터링을 위한 software는 한글 MS Windows 환경에서 구현한다.

  • This paper deals with the state observer-controller which observes unmeasurable state variables of the system and then uses the estimated values as feedback signals. The linearized model is deduced from the nonlinear electrohydraulic servo system. The 4th order analog linear observer-controller and the 2nd order digital one are modelled and implemented using OP amplifiers and IBM PC/XT, respectively. The two observer are experimentally used in the control of an electrohydraulic system. The results are satisfactory in estimation performance and in tracking performance to command signal.

  • 오늘날 제조업에 있어서는 시장의 다양화, 원가절감 및 리드타임의 단축이라는 대내외적 요구에 부응할 수 있는 기술 생산체재의 확립이 요구되고 있다. 이에 따라 설계 및 기술변경(Engineering Change)에따른 원가상승을 막기 위해 CAE(Computer aided engineering), CAD(Computer aided design)의 도입을 서두르게 되었고 CAD데이타의 효율적 이용에 의한 가공 및 생산적 측면에서 CAM(Computer aided manufacturing)의 도입도 검토하게 되었다. 본 논문은 이러한 개념의 발상동기와 이를 뒷받침하기 위한 한국 아이 비 엠이서 제공하는 하드웨어 및 소프트웨어를 소개하고 공장자동화를 위한 기술 생산 통합시스템의 구축이라는 측면에서 아이 비 엠이 추구하는 방향을 검토하고 있다.

  • In this paper, an automatic routing algorithm using Fringe is described. The concept of the Fringe is very simple, but it provides a powerful and flexible tool for doing single layer routing. The automatic routing program is coded using C language, and implemented on a VAX11/750 and IBM -PC AT computer. The usefulness of the routing algorithms is shown by the execution of the program on some examples.

  • In this paper, the Mini-MAP network interface units are implemented for the IBM PC, general purpose, PLC, and robot respectively. The token bus controller, MC68824 is used to realize the IEEE 802.4. A protocol for the message exchanges between some automated devices called MMS is implemented where 76 services of total 86 MMS services are included.

  • In this paper, An expert system for electric furnace with time delay is proposed. The expert system uses Fuzzy control theory. The conventional controller uses Auto-Tuning control theory. From experiment, we can obtain that the response of expert system is superior to the response of the conventional controller. In this experiment, the expert controller is implemented with the IBM PC. The 8751 One chip processor controling the electric furnace is used.

  • In this study LLC and MAC program, which is the base of the communication software, is implemented. This program is tested in the MAP board for IBM PC. The LLC is of class 3, which provides the services of type 1 and 3. The MAC uses the Token Passing Bus Access Method of IEEE 802.4 standard. The LLC is implemented in C language, and MAC in C language and 80186 assembly language. MAC program takes advantage of MC 68824 which is the token bus controller produced by Motorola.

  • This paper describes the design of EFbus(ETRI Fieldbus), EFbus was designed from the interim results of international Fieldbus standardization in IEC (International Electrotechnical Commission) and proposals of many companies. The design was performed and described on the basis of three layered architecture. Application layer S/W runs on IBM PC and provides services which is similar ED MMS in MAP to user application Data linklayer runs on Intel's iDCX96 real time executive and uses centralized media accesscontrol method. Physical layer uses Manchester encoding & decoding, twisted pair fines and RS485 electrical standard.

  • In this study, the computation of optimum operating conditions for catalytic oxidation of sulfur dioxide to sulfur trioxide in CONVERTER which determines the yield ultimately in sulfuric acid plant is performed on an IBM/XT computer. The process simulator of rigorous converter model including mass & energy balance equations and supporting equations is linked to optimizer, which produces the desired results successfully.
