Identifying characters who appear in a story and analyzing their relationships is essential to understanding the story. This paper aims to identify the two actants (or character roles) as Helper and Opponent in Greimas's Actantial model by identifying Subject (i.e., protagonist) and analyzing the emotional interactions between the Subject and the two actants (Helper/Opponent). Our proposed method consists of three steps. First, we identify objects (i.e., characters) appearing in the text story. Next, we extract relational information through the interaction of the characters, and then classify emotions in the text expressed as relational information. Finally, we represent the flow of emotional relations among characters as a directed graph. The node with the highest degree is considered as the Subject because it includes the most relational information. The node that sends the most positive/negative emotions to the Subject is considered as the Helper/Oppenent, respectively. Our research contributes to the computer-based narrative understanding by providing a computational method that automatically extracts the three key character roles (Subject, Helper, and Opponent) from the text story.
The conversational agent, which is at the forefront of the 4th industry, aims to personalize the user-centered focus in the future and holds an important position to have a hub that can be connected to various IoT devices. It is a challenge for interactive agents to recognize the user's emotions and provide the correct interaction to personalization. The study first I looked at emotional definitions and scientific and engineering approaches. Then I recognized through social perspectives what social function and what factors emotions have and how they can be used to understand emotions. Based on this, I explored how users can be discovered emotional social factors in communication. This research has shown that social factors can be found in the user's speech, which can be linked to the social meaning of emotions. Finally, I propose a model to discover social factors in user communication. I hope that this will help designer and researcher to study user-centered design and interaction in designing interactive agents.
In this paper, we present a high-level design methodology applied on a network system-on-a-chip(SOC) using SystemC. The main target of our approach is to get optimum performance parameters for high network address translation(NAT) throughput. The Fast Ethernet media access controller(MAC) and its direct memory access(DMA) controller are modeled with SystemC in transaction level. They are calibrated through the cycle-based measurement of the operation of the real Verilog register transfer language(RTL). The NAT throughput of the model is within $\pm$10% error compared to the output of the real evaluation board. Simulation speed of the model is more than 100 times laster than the RTL. The validated models are used for intensive architecture exploration to find the performance bottleneck in the NAT router.
Attention to Korean perspective mathematics education has been increasingly paid m international academic meetings or international comparative studies. Personal or intuitive, vague explanation has been given based on limited literature or observations. This increasing attention and Jack of studies warrant the necessity of systematic researches on it. This article aims at clarifying the research issues in searching for Korean perspective on mathematics education and finding the starting point through discussion on mathematical modeling by teacher on researchers and researchers. Firstly, hypothetical perspective will be described. Secondly, Fourteen teacher educators' and seven researchers' opinion on it will be discussed. Findings imply that strong responsibility for Korean mathematics teachers to reveal theoretical aspects of mathematical knowledge, i.e., structure or essence, as well as to pursue efficiency and effectiveness in mathematics teaching and learning is the main aspect of Korean perspective on mathematics education.
III.
A virtual enterprise (VE) can be mapped into a multi-agent system (MAS) that consists of various agents with specific role(s), communicating with each other to accomplish common goal(s). However, a MAS for enacting VE requires more advanced mechanism such as context that can guarantee autonomy and dynamism of VE members considering heterogeneity and complex structure of them. This paper is to suggest a context-based MAS as a platform for constructing and managing virtual enterprises. In the Context-based MAS a VE is a collection of Actor, Interaction (among Actors), Actor Context, and Interaction Context. It can raise the speed and correctness of decision-making and operation of VE enactment using context, i.e., information about the situation (e.g., goal, role, task, time, location, media) of Actors and Interactions, as well as simple data of their properties. The Context-based MAS for VE we proposed('VECoM') may consists of Context Ontology, Context Model, Context Analyzer, and Context Reasoner. The suggested approach and system is validated through an example where a VE tries to find a partner that could join co-development of new technology.
In the field of finance, Trading System of Securities is a very vulnerable application when it faces any small problems just for one minute. Since Trading System changes its environment from mainframes to client/server, its safety becomes the most important factor. Even though most If systems are configured by general guidelines currently, Trading System is an exception that it is configured by specific and rather ad hoc guidelines in order to ensure its safe management. In this thesis, I will prove the validity of specific and ad hoc configuration in the environment of Trading Systems where I use both XA interface system and Non-XA interface to configure its system based on 3-Tier Client/server computing environment through middleware, TP-Monitor, in the X/Open DTP Model. In order to validate the Trading System, I will compare and analyze the error of data of an order and ability to restore using both XA and Non-XA interfaces while testing take-over scenario on the assumption of the system's failure.
One of the purposes of an artificial neural netowrk(ANNet) is to implement the largest number of functions as possible with the smallest number of nodes and layers. This paper presents a CoreNet which has a multi-leveled input value and a multi-leveled output value with a 2-layered ANNet, which is the basic structure of an ANNet. I have suggested an equation for calculating the capacity of the CoreNet, which has a p-leveled input and a q-leveled output, as $a_{p,q}={\frac{1}{2}}p(p-1)q^2-{\frac{1}{2}}(p-2)(3p-1)q+(p-1)(p-2)$. I've applied this CoreNet into the simulation model 1(5)-1(6), which has 5 levels of an input and 6 levels of an output with no hidden layers. The simulation result of this model gives, the maximum 219 convergences for the number of implementable functions using the cot(${\sqrt{x}}$) input leveling method. I have also shown that, the 27 functions are implementable by the calculation of weight values(w, ${\theta}$) with the multi-threshold lines in the weight space, which are diverged in the simulation results. Therefore the 246 functions are implementable in the 1(5)-1(6) model, and this coincides with the value from the above eqution $a_{5,6}(=246)$. I also show the implementable function numbering method in the weight space.

With the advances of wireless technologies and mobile computing, m-commerce is being realized on many kinds of mobile devices. Service contents for m-commerce are usually newly written to meet specific characteristics of user's mobile devices, thus requiring formidable efforts. So, it is very important to effectively exploit the Internet product information currently being provided for e-commerce. However, bringing those Internet contents to mobile devices is far from straightforward due to the limitations of mobile devices such as little memory, small displays, low processing speeds, and so forth. In this paper, assuming that the Internet products are represented in XML, we suggest four methods to construct the object hierarchy for effectively viewing the documents on the mobile devices. We then compare and analyze them by experiments in terms of response times and required memory size.
