구면항법과 쌍곡면항법의 알고리즘을 조합한 고정도 위치결정법에 관한 연구 (A Study on High Accuracy Position Fixing Method by Combining the Algorithm of Hyperbolic and Spherical Navigation System)

  • In this paper, the equations calculating GDOP are induced in Hyperboic, and Spherical Navigation System, respectively, The GDOP diagram shows that the DGOP in the inner region of Beacons is similar each other, but the GDOP of Hyperboic Navigation System is much larger than that of Spherical Navigation System due to GDOP in the outer region of Beacons. The authors propose the algorithm estimating the pulse starting time using the Hyperboic Navigation System, and prove that if Navigation use the Spherical Navigation System by adopting the proposed Algorithm -in this case, "Pseudo Sperical Navigation System" - in the outer region where GDOP is becoming large, the position errors can be reduced.e reduced.

  • We have reported the new measurement system which was substituted digital filter for the analog filter in order to develop the optimal system that could find the time delay between each sensors with high accuracy. And also we have confirmed through the experiments that the accuracy of measurements were differentiated by the methods what kind of digital filter had been adopted. This paper suggests two algorithms which approximate the sound source's bearing and distance. One is that sound source's relative bearing can be approximately regarded as the gradient of hyperbolic asymptote, the other is that the source's range can be approximated under the condition of a long range source relative to the sensor's interval. And a series of experiments were carried out with the source's distance 22.42meters and the random bearing interval within the limits of $-90^{\circ}$~$+90^{\circ}$. As a result, we have recognized that the approximation methods could measure the bearing and distance with higher accuracy than the method using trigonometric relation could do.

  • A mathematical formulation based on two-phase, two-fluid hyperbolic conservation laws is developed to investigate propagation of shock waves in one- and two-dimensions. We used a high resolution upwind scheme called the split-coefficient matrix method. Two extreme cases are computed for validation of the computer code: the states of a pure gas and a pure liquid. Computed results agreed well with the previous experimental and numerical results. It is studied how the shock wave propagation pattern is affected by the void fraction in the two-phase flow. The shock structure in a two-phase flow turned out, in fact, much deviated from the shape well known in the gas only phase.

On the Motion of the Structure Varying Multibody Systems with Two-Dimensional Dry Friction

  • In the present paper the dynamics of the structure varying multibody systems caused by stick-slip motion with two-dimensional dry friction are analyzed. The methods to determine friction force both in stick and slip states are described. The direct method of considering the wagon bogie system as a structure varying system was used to consider two dimensional friction at the wheelset-side frame connection. The concept of friction direction angle used to determine the friction force components of two-dimensional dry friction both in the stick and slip motion states was used. A speed depended friction coefficient was used and described approximately by hyperbolic secant function. All switch conditions were derived and friction forces both for stick and slip states. Some simulation results are provided.

  • Nonlinear partial differential equations are more suitable to model many physical phenomena in science and engineering. In this paper, we consider three nonlinear partial differential equations such as Novikov equation, an equation for surface water waves and the Geng-Xue coupled equation which serves as a model for the unidirectional propagation of the shallow water waves over a at bottom. The main objective in this paper is to apply the generalized Riccati equation mapping method for obtaining more exact traveling wave solutions of Novikov equation, an equation for surface water waves and the Geng-Xue coupled equation. More precisely, the obtained solutions are expressed in terms of the hyperbolic, the trigonometric and the rational functional form. Solutions obtained are potentially significant for the explanation of better insight of physical aspects of the considered nonlinear physical models.

역모델을 이용한 MR 댐퍼의 감쇠계수 제어 (Control of Damping Coefficients for the Shear Mode MR Dampers Using Inverse Model)

  • A new linearization model for MR dampers is analyzed. The nonlinear hysteretic damping force model of MR damper can be modeled as a hyperbolic tangent function of currents, positions, and velicities, which is an algebraic function with constant parameters. Model parameters can be identified with numerical method using experimental force-velocity-position data obtained from various operating conditions. The nonlinear hysteretic damping force can be linearized with a given slope of damping coefficient if there exist corresponding currents to compensate for the nonlinearity. The corresponding currents can be calculated from the inverse model when the given linear damping force is set equal to the nonlinear hysteretic damping force. The linearization controller is realized in a DSP controller such that the corresponding currents to satisfy a given damping coefficient should be calculated. Experiments show that the current inputs to the MR damper produce linearized damping force with a given slope of the damping coefficient.

초음파 핑거를 이용한 수파기 좌표의 보정 (Calibration of hydrophone Coordinates by the Telemetry techniques)

  • The accuracy of the position fixing with telemetry techniques depends in general on the accuracy of the location of the receiving point(hydrophone). To increase the accuracy of the coordinates of four hydrophones suspended down at both sides of the vessel anchored, each hydrophone motion is compensated using a depth pinger mounted on the seabed of 30m depth. The pinger location is calculated with a hyperbolic method. Using this technique so called hydrophone coordinates calibration, the movement of the Remotely Operated Vehicle(ROV), which has the same type of pinger mentioned above could be tracked down more accurately. Under the maximum variation ranges of a hydrophone of 5.2m in athwartships, 3.2m in alongship, and about 0.2m/s of the moving velocity in both directions, the ROV track with calibration is more close to the reality than that without calibration Tow depth pingers of same frequency can be distinguished by the use of three factors; The pulse period, the phase and the pulse period variation allowed in acquisition of the pinger as far as its pulse period is varied in smooth.

광안해역에서의 파랑변형예측 (Prediction of Wave Transformation in the Kwangan Beach)

  • Water waves propagate over irregular bottom bathymetry are transformed by refraction, diffraction, shoaling, reflection etc. Principal factor of wave transform is bottom bathymetry, but in case of current field, current is another important factor which effect wave transformation. The governing equation of this study is develope as wave-current equation type to investigate the effect of wave-current interaction. It starts from Berkhoff's(1972) mild slope equation and is transformed to time-dependent hyperbolic type equation by using variational principal. Finally the governing equation is shown as a parabolic type equation by splitting method. This wave-current model was applied to the kwangan beach which is located at Pusan. The numerical simulation results of this model show the characteristics of wave transformation and flow pattern around the Kwangan beach fairly well.

Research on the Solar Concentrating Optical System for Solar Energy Utilization

  • To improve the utilization efficiency of solar energy, a new solar optical concentrating system composed of a parabolic reflector with a square cross-section, a hyperbolic reflector with a square cross-section and two converging convex lenses has been designed. The proposed method can simultaneously focus and shape sun light into a square pattern on the solar panel. In addition, the total reflection property of photonic crystal within the range of the visible sunlight spectrum has been analyzed. Finally, the relationship between solar concentrating multiples and the diameter of the primary mirror has been discussed.

버터플라이밸브 손실계수 표현식에 관한 연구 (Study of Butterfly Valve Loss Coefficient Equation)

  • Linear curve or hyperbolic curve interpolation equations have been used to represent loss coefficient of butterfly valve according to a certain opening(for example, each 10 degree up to 90 degree) so far, and these equations are not precise and inconvenient to use with computer programming. Method of representing loss coefficient of butterfly valve using experiment data with several equations is presented and It is verified that log equation is most precise and convenient to use with computer programming in this research.
