차세대 복합재료의 개발에 관한 연구(부직포 삽입형 하이브리드 복합재료) (A Study on the Development of the Next Generation Composite Materials(Hybrid Composites with Non-Woven Tissue))

  • To improve the properties of FRP composite materials, the hybrid prepreg with non-woven tissue (NWT) is developed. The hybrid prepreg consists of undirectional prepreg and NWT prepreg. The NWT prepreg is made by compounding the NWT and polymer resin, which is similar to the production method of FRP prepreg. The NWT has short fibers which are discretely distributed with in-plane random orientation. The stiffness and strength of NWT composites are lower than those of continuously fibrous composites. The strengthening technique and fabricating technique for the hybrid prepreg are described in this work. The mechanical characteristics of hybrid composites with NWT are discussed and compared with those of the FRP composites.

  • This study aimed to examine the theoretical consideration and concept of hybrid that could be applicable to wood product design, to analyze design trend according to the morphological transformation by means of combination of hybrid material and function, to understand the correlation between type of wood product and materials and to apply it to the domestic and overseas hybrid concept of wood product design study. A study of assembling output by empirical experiment to embed natural resources into acrylic resin in order to develop wood products was carried out. And an wood product was suggested that satisfied lighting and hanger function through a new wood product design development combined with hanger function and lighting function. Through such process, a new design paradigm was suggested to cope with the periodic trend and to induce mass production of designed product. Thus, this study set a new guideline for activating wood product design and attempted to meet the social demand of encouraging new value creation.

하이브리드 FRP 리바의 역학적 특성 (Mechanical Properties of Hybrid FRP Rebar)

  • Over the last decade fiber-reinforced polymer (FRP) reinforcement consisting of glass, carbon, or aramid fibers embedded in a resin such as vinyl ester, epoxy, or polyester has emerged as one of the most promising and affordable solutions to the corrosion problems of steel reinforcement in structural concrete. But reinforcing rebar for concrete made of FRP rebar has linear elastic behavior up to tensile failure. For safety a certain plastic strain and an elongation greater than 3% at maximum load is usually required for steel reinforcement in concrete structures. The same should be required for FRP rebar. Thus, the main object of this study was to develop new type of hybrid FRP rebar Also, this study was evaluated to the mechanical properties of Hybrid FRP rebar. The Manufacture of the hybrid FRP rebar was achieved by pultrusion, and braiding and filament winding techniques. Tensile and interlaminar shear test results of Hybrid FRP rebar can provide its excellent tensile strength-strain behavior and interlaminar stress-strain behavior.

One-Bottle system 상아질접착제의 전단결합강도 해석 (SHEAR BOND STREGNTHS OF ONE-BOTTLE DENTIN ABHESIVE SYSTEMS)

  • In Older to evaluate the effectiveness of 'One-bottle dentin adhesive system', the shear bond strengths of two fourth generation dentin adhesive systems and two One-bottle systems to the occlusal dentin of the freshly extracted third molars were measured by the regulation of the ISO TR 11405. The fourth generation dentin adhesive systems used in this study were Scotchbond Multi-Purpose Plus and All-Bond 2, and the One-bottle systems were Single Bond and One-Step. The effects of the thickness of hybrid layer and adhesive layer, the diameter of resin tag and the ratio between the diameter of resin tag and that of dentinal tubule were analyzed as the contributing factors of the shear bond strength of dentin bonding systems from the Scanning Electron Microscopic images. The results were as follows: 1. The shear bond strengths of Scotchbond Multi-Purpose, All-Bond 2, and Single Bond were 16.98${\pm}$3.40 MPa, 15.10${\pm}$2.77 MPa and 15.05${\pm}$3.18 MPa, respectively. There were no statistical differences(p>0.05). 2. But, the shear bond strength of One-Step were significantly lower than those of the other groups (11.81${\pm}$1.95 MPa, p<0.05). 3. The thicknesses of hybrid layer and adhesive layer of One-Step were significantly thinner than those of the other groups(p<0.05). The differences of the diameter of resin tag(p=0.0685) and the ratio between the diameter of resin tag and that of dentinal tubule(p=0.2401) were not significant among all the material groups. 4. The thickness of hybrid layer and adhesive layer might be considered as contributing factors of the she at bond strengths of dentin bonding systems, but the diameter of resin tag and the ratio between the diameter of resin tag and that of dentinal tubule might not.

FBG 센서를 삽입한 3차원 브레이드 하이브리드 복합재료의 잔류변형률 및 내부변형률 측정 (Measurement of Residual and Internal Strain of 3-D Braided Hybrid Composite using Embedded FBG Sensor)

  • Three dimensional circular braided Glass/Aramid hybrid fabric/epoxy resin composite was fabricated. FBG sensor was embedded along the braid yam in order to monitor the internal dimensional changes of the 3-D braid composite. The amount of cure and thermal shrinkage of epoxy resin was also determined using FBG sensor system. FBG sensors with different grating length were embedded and their response were compared. The thermo-optic coefficient of FBG sensor was measured by several preliminary experiments. The internal strain that measured by FBG sensor and electric strain gauge was compared during compressive test. The released residual strain of the fabricated tubular composite was estimated using cutting method. The internal strain of the composite was estimated using FBG sensor system, and the result was compared with the value from electric strain gauge. It was found that FBG sensor system is a very useful technique to investigate inside region of complicated structure.

A new type of clear orthodontic retainer incorporating multi-layer hybrid materials

  • Clear thermoplastic retainers have been widely used in daily orthodontics; however, they have inherent limitations associated with thermoplastic polymer materials such as dimensional instability, low strength, and poor wear resistance. To solve these problems, we developed a new type of clear orthodontic retainer that incorporates multi-layer hybrid materials. It consists of three layers; an outer polyethylenterephthalate glycol modified (PETG) hard-type polymer, a middle thermoplastic polyurethane (TPU) soft-type polymer, and an inner reinforced resin core. The resin core improves wear resistance and mechanical strength, which prevent unwanted distortion of the bucco-palatal wall of the retainer. The TPU layer absorbs impact and the PETG layer has good formability, optical qualities, fatigue resistance, and dimensional stability, which contributes to increased support from the mandibular dentition, and helps maintain the archform. This new type of vacuum-formed retainer showed improved mechanical strength and rate of water absorption.

  • High-speed and high-precision are trendy at present in the development of machine tools which are required for various fields of industry such as semiconductor, automobde, mold fabricat~on and so on. High damping capacity of the structure is an iniportant factor to ohtain precise products without vibration during manufacturing caused by rapid trarisportatm and rotation of spindle unit Resin concrete have high potential for machine tool bed due to its good damping characteristics. In this study, the statlc and dynamic characteristics of the machine tool bed were analysed. Also, the hybrid machine tool bed, made of steel base and polyester resin concrete material, was manufactured and its good dynamic characteristics were proved experimentally.

Transverse permeability measurement of a circular braided preform in liquid composite molding

  • In liquid composite molding (LCM), composites are produced by impregnation of a dry preform with liquid resin. The resin flow through the preform is usually described by Darcy's law and the permeability tensor must be obtained for filling analysis. While the resin flow in the thickness direction can be neglected for thin parts, the resin flow in the transverse direction is important for thicker parts. However, the transverse permeability of the preform has not been investigated frequently. In this study, the transverse permeability was measured experimentally for five different fiber preforms. In order to verify the experimental results, the measured transverse permeability was compared with numerical results. Five different fiber mats were used in this study: glass fiber woven fabric, aramid fiber woven fabric, glass fiber random mat, glass fiber braided preform, and glass/aramid hybrid braided preform. The anisotropic braided preforms were manufactured by using a three dimensional braiding machine. The pressure was measured at the inlet and outlet positions with pressure transducers.

위상지연 원자간력 현미경법에 의한 혼성 에멀젼 표면의 분석 (Analysis of Hybrid Emulsion Surfaces by the Phase Lag Mapping Atomic Force Microscopy)

  • 에멀젼 입자 표면의 새로운 형태학적 분석을 위하여 원자간력 현미경을 이용한 위상지연 가시화법을 응용하여 폴리우레탄 수지와 아크릴레이트 수지로 구성된 폴리우레탄 아크릴레이트 하이브리드 에멀젼의 형태 및 물성 연구를 시도하였다. 데이터의 분석을 위하여 순수한 수분산 폴리우레탄과 아크릴레이트 에멀젼 입자를 각각 합성하였고, 유사한 형태로 합성된 두 입자에 대한 각각의 서로 다른 위상지연의 크기를 얻을 수 있었다. 이들 데이터를 기준으로 수십 나노미터의 분해능으로 폴리우레탄 속에 혼성된 아크릴 수지의 입자표면을 구별하고 특성을 분석하였다. 따라서 위상지연 가시화법의 응용으로 서로 다른 2가지 화합물의 특성을 구분하고 이를 가시화 할 수 있는 새로운 가능성을 제시하였고, 이러한 분석법은 유기 합성 고분자의 입자 표면분석 및 물성연구에 유용함을 기술하였다.

암모늄 기능기와 계면활성제가 포함된 메조포러스 음이온교환수지를 이용한 수용액중 퍼리네이트(Perrhenate) 음이온 제거 (Effects of the Surfactant and the Quaternary Ammonium Functional Groups on the Removal of Perrhenate Anions using Mesoporous Anion-Exchange Resins in Aqueous Solutions)

  • 수용액에서 음이온을 제거하기 위하여 다양한 종류의 유기/무기 복합음이온교환수지를 제조하였다. 제조된 음이온교환수지들은 질소흡탈착 실험, 적외선분광실험, 원소분석 등을 통하여 그 특성을 조사하였다. 또한 제조된 음이온교환수지의 음이온 교환 특성을 조사하기 위하여 배치(batch) 실험과 키네틱(kinetic) 실험을 수행하였다. 제조된 시료들 가운데 트리메틸암모늄 기능기를 사용했을 때보다 트리부틸암모늄 기능기를 사용하였을 때 더욱 큰 흡착량을 나타내었는데, 이것은 호프마이스터 효과와도 부합된다. 또한, 소수성기를 다량 보유하고 있는 계면활성제인 헥사데실아민도 소수성 음이온에 대한 교환능이 있는 것을 알 수 있었다.
