콜로이달 실리카와 실란으로부터 합성된 나노하이브리드 코팅 박막의 특성 (Properties of Nano-Hybrid Coating Films Synthesized from Colloidal Silica-Silane)

  • In recent years the interest in organic/inorganic hybrid materials has increased at a fast rate. Nano organic-inorganic hybrid composites have shown advantages for preparing hard coating layers. Especially, nano hybrid composite has low environmental pollution. It has high transparency, hardness, toughness, thermal dissociation temperature, hydrophobicity by using nano sized inorganic material. There are many ways in which these materials may be synthesized, a typical one being the use of silica and silanes using the sol-gel process. The structure of sol-gel silica evolves as a result of these successive hydrolysis and condensation reactions and the subsequent drying and curing. The sol-gel reactions are catalyzed by acids and produce silica sol solutions. The silica sol grows until they reach a size where a gel transition occurs and a solid-like gel is formed. Colloidal silica(CS)/silane sol solutions were synthesized in variation with parameters such as different acidity and reaction time. In order to understand their physical and chemical properties, sol-gel coating films were fabricated on glass. From all sol-gel solutions, seasoning effect of sol-gel coating layer on glass was observed.

The Characterization of ZnO Hybrid Structure Grown by Metal-organic Chemical Vapor Deposition

  • The growth of three-dimensional ZnO hybrid structures by metal-organic chemical vapor deposition was controlled through their growth pressure. Vertically aligned ZnO nanorods were grown on c-plane sapphire substrate at $600^{\circ}C$ and 400 Torr. ZnO film was then formed in-situ on the ZnO nanorods at $600^{\circ}C$ and 10 Torr. High-resolution X-ray diffraction and transmission electron microscopy measurements showed that the ZnO film on the nanorods/sapphire grew epitaxially, and that the ZnO film/nanorods hybrid structures had well-ordered wurtzite structures. The hybrid ZnO structure was shown to be about 5 ${\mu}m$ by field-emission scanning electron microscopy. The hybrid structure showed better crystalline quality than mono-layer film on sapphire substrate. Consequently, purpose of this work is developing high quality hybrid epi-growth technology using nano structure. These structures have potential applicability as nanobuilding blocks in nanodevices.

ZnO Nanowire-film Hybrid Nanostructure for Oxygen Sensor Applications

  • Carefully designed ZnO nanowire-film hybrid nanostructure, composed of a bottom ZnO film, ZnO nanowire arrays, and a top ZnO film, was consecutively fabricated by adjusting the supersaturation conditions using a metal-organic chemical vapor deposition (MOCVD) to utilize the vertically aligned ZnO nanowires as the oxygen sensors. The decrease of current flow through ZnO nanowire arrays increasing oxygen pressure showed the high potential for the application of the ZnO hybrid nanostructure to the oxygen sensors. In addition, it was confirmed that the oxygen sensing characteristics of this hybrid nanostructure were attributed to the defects near the surface of the nanowires.

유-무기 하이브리드 재료와 자외선 흡수제의 배합에 의한 자외선 차단 코팅 (UV Blocking Coatings by Combination of Organic-inorganic Hybrid Materials and UV absorbers)

  • 눈은 자외선과 가시광선에 노출되어 있다. 눈은 자외선 노출에 해로우므로 모든 자외선으로부터 눈을 보호해야 한다. 본 연구에서는 자외선 차단을 위해 투명 플라스틱에 유-무기 하이브리드 재료와 자외선 흡수제의 배합에 의한 자외선 차단 코팅하였고, PMMA, CR 39 및 PC기재에 적용하여 자외선 차단 효과를 조사하였다. 자외선 흡수제의 양이 증가할수록 자외선의 투과도는 낮았다. PMMA의 경우 자외선 투과도를 현저히 감소시켰으며 CR 39에서도 자외선 차단 효과가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 한편, PC자체에서는 자외선 차단효과가 있는 것으로 평가되었다. CR 39 렌즈의 부착력, 내약품성, 내온수성은 우수하였고, 연필 경도의 경우 4H였으며 내마모성은 좋지 않았다.

Diarylethene이 첨가된 저융점 유-무기 하이브리드 유리의 광변색 특성 (Photochromism of Diarylethene-Doped Organic-Inorganic Hybrid Low Melting Glass)

  • Diarylethene in photochromic materials was doped in organic-inorganic hybrid low-melting glasses were synthesized through a nonaqueous acid-base reaction process, which consists of network units including a small number of bridging oxides. The organic phase is a dichlorodimethylsilane while the inorganic phase is a tin(II) chloride. Diarylethene was incorporated into the glasses without any degradation of its functionality. The open form of diarylenthene, which is converted from the opening one upon UV-irradiation, is change to the closed form visible light-irradiation. The rate constant of the photochemical reaction is $31.78\times10^{-3}s^{-1}$ with 400 W UV lamp irradiation.

Ordered CdS nanorods- organic hybrid solar cells

  • We studied the optoelectronic properties of hybrid solar cells formed by mixing cadmium sulfide [CdS] nanorods with a conjugated polymer, poly-2-methoxy, 5-[2'-ethy[hexyloxy]-1,4-p-phenylenevinylene[MEH-PPV]. CdS nanorods were grown vertically on Ti substrates by electrochemical deposition through a porous alumina template. Absorption spectrum of the composite layer was the same as the superposition of the absorption spectrum of each individual layer. The photoluminescence signal from MEH-PPV film was reduced as a result of the mixing. The energy conversion efficiency of MEH-PPV improved from $0.0012\%$ to about $0.60\%$ when combined with the vertically aligned CdS nanorods.

  • Barrier coating properties of PVA/$SiO_2$ on the flexible substrates (PEN) have been investigated. Thin layer of PVA/$SiO_2$ organic-inorganic hybrid materials were deposited on PEN substrate by the spin-coating. The optical properties and surface roughness of barrier layer on flexible substrate were characterized by AFM, UV-Vis and WVTR/ OTR.

  • SiOC 박막과 같은 유무기 하이브리드 실리카 물질에서의 열처리효과에 의한 결합구조의 변화와 유전상수에 관하여 연구하였다. 유무기 하이브리드 실리카 물질은 BTMSM과 산소의 혼합가스를 이용한 CVD방법에 의하여 증착되었다. 유무기 하이브리드 실리카 물질은 증착조건에 따라 3가지 유형으로 분류되었으며, 유전상수는 MIS 구조에 의하여 조사되었다. XPS 분석에 의하여 C 1s 스펙트라는 O2/BTMSM=1.5의 유량비를 갖는 박막에서 282.9 eV의 organometallic carbon 반응을 보여주는 피크를 나타내었다. organometallic carbon반응의 결과는 안정성 있는 크로스 링크 결합구조를 만들어내며, 하이브리드 특성을 갖는 이 박막에서 열처리 후 유전상수는 가장 낮았다.

  • 투명한 플라스틱 필름의 표면경도를 향상시키기 위하여 유-무기 하이브리드 코팅 용액을 졸-겔 공정을 이용하여 합성하였다. 무기성분으로 콜로이드 실리카와 유기성분으로 PMMA, 유-무기 성분 간의 결합력을 향상시켜 하이브리드 코팅 층의 특성을 더욱 향상시키기 위하여 실란커플링제로서 vinyl trimethoxy silane (VTMS)과 [3-(metha cryloyloxy)] propyl trimethoxy silane (MAPTMS)를 이용하였고, 알콕시 실란의 종류, 콜로이드 실리카/PMMA의 함량비 등의 반응조건에 따라 콜로이드 실리카/PMMA 졸을 합성하였다. 이러한 졸을 PET 필름에 바코팅시키고, 열경화 시켜 하드코팅막을 제조하여 물리적 화학적 특성을 조사하였다. PMMA에 비해서 하이브리드 형태에서 코팅 막의 연필경도와 기재와의 부착력이 우수하였다.
