가스사고 통계 및 분석에 관한 고찰 (A Gas Accident Statistics and Analysis)

  • 각종 화재사고 분류 중 대표적으로 나타나는 가스사고는 그 형태와 원인이 다양하다고 할 수 있다. 가스사용량은 사용가구수가 증가와 사용 장소 및 가스기기의 다양화로 증가하고 있으며, 2007년도 가스사용량은 35,078천톤으로서 연평균 9.4%증가하였다. 가스사고는 95년 557건을 최고로 하여 2007년도에는 123건 발생하여 연평균 11.5%감소되었다. 가스의 종류에 따른 사고건수는 LP가스의 경우 전체 가스사고중 약 80%를 차지하고, 도시가스와 고압가스가 약 20%를 차지하고 있다. LP가 많았고, 특히 공급자부주의에 의한 사고가 끊이지 않고 증가하고 있는 추세이다. 가스사고는 사용자취급부주의, 공급자 취급부주의, 시공불량 및 노후제품으로부터 사고가 발생하여 인명과 재산피해가 발생하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 가스사고의 분류와 형태별, 원인별, 지역별 등에 대한 사고분포를 통해 가스사고의 원인에 대한 이해를 하고 가스안전사고를 예방하는 자료로 활용되도록 하였다.

액화천연가스(LNG) 사용시설내의 부취농도 분포 및 관리방법에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Odorization Levels and Management in the Facility using Liquified Natural Gas(LNG))

  • 많은 대량소비 가스시설에서는 천연가스를 가스공사의 배관망을 통해 공급받지 못하여 탱크로리를 통해 액화천연가스(LNG)를 가스공사로부터 공급받아 기화시켜 사용한다. 이러한 시설에서 가스 누출로 인한 인명 또는 재산피해를 방지하기 위하여 주입하는 부취제가, 최초지점과 소비지점들에서 어떤 농도로 분포하는지 분석하는 연구를 수행하였다. 일정한 유량이 흐를 때 가스시설내의 배관위치에 따라 부취농도의 변화를 확인하기 위한 분석이 이루어졌다. 시료채취는 알루미늄 재질의 4.5 L 용기를 진공상태로 만든 후, 부취제가 주입되는 정압기와 가스가 사용되는 소비지점에서 시료를 포집하였다. 포집된 가스시료로부터 가스크로마토그래피(Main Body : Agilent 7890A, Detector : ANTEC 7090)를 이용하여 부취제의 농도를 분석하였다. 안전한 가스시설관리를 위하여 대량수요자 시설의 형태별로 부취농도 관리방법의 정립이 필요한 것으로 판단된다.

중년기 여성용 수영복 패턴설계 (A Study on Swimwear for Middle-aged Women)

  • In this study the swimwear pattern focused on a typical middle-aged women's body was developed and discussed. To determine the characteristics of a typical middle-aged women's body, their actual bust were cast. According to a generated flattened body surface shell, the right side of pattern was designed considering stretching ratio of swimwear materials as shown in the figure 3. Special features of the developed swimwear pattern are a bust dart, a particularly designed lining, a power-net, and a brassiere-cup. Against a commercial swimwear pattern, the darts were applied to bust area considering its volume. The lining was attached on the entire right side except brassiere part, and power-net was added twice on belly and hip part. As a result, silhouette and body shape were improved. The new brassiere-cup was designed and made to satisfy the middle-aged women's demand about their bust volume. Swimwear fitting test was performed, and it was evaluated. The developed swimwear rated activity, body support, entire silhouette, pressure, comfortable fitting, suitability with body figure, nudity higher by comparison with a commercial swimwear, as shown in the Table 6. Specially the developed swimwear satisfied future customers about a bust, a hip, a waist, a belly area, which the middle-aged women are not confident. Reducing exposure of an armhole and upper leg area, it also satisfied them. New developed swimwear pattern will provide useful reference to swimwear businesses targeting middle-aged women.

컴프레션웨어의 디자인과 제품구성요소 분석 (An Analysis of Compression Wear Designs and Structural Elements)

  • The aim of this study was to provide compression wear manufacture brands with information needed for product development. 8 tops and 7 bottoms from widely recognized compression wear manufacture brands were selected, and their product structural elements were analyzed, too. The results showed that most compression wear designs were applications of cutting lines designed considering muscle movements of the human body. The average number of cutting lines for patterns and designs were 14 for tops and 15 for bottoms. Different colored material was mainly used on the top for areas that require ventilation or high movement during sports for tops, and for areas that require muscle and joint support during sports for bottoms. The functionality of top materials were found to be stretch, muscle support, moisture absorption and high speed drying, warmth and ventilation for tops, in order of frequency, and stretch, muscle support, moisture absorption and high speed drying, and pressure for bottoms, in order of frequency. Tops were cut in the direction of the lengthwise grain, and bottoms were not only cut in the direction of the lengthwise grain, but also in the direction of the crosswise grain and bias for many products. Tops consisted of an average of 13 organically connected panels, and bottoms consisted of an average of 18 organically connected panels, which was analyzed to improve functionality. The average clothing surface area stretch rate was 85.7% for tops and 70.0% for bottoms, indicating that bottoms were designed to have higher strain rates compared to tops.

Association of fried food intake with prehypertension and hypertension: the Filipino women's diet and health study

  • BACKGROUND/OBJECTIVES: Few epidemiological studies examined the association between fried food intake and hypertension. This study examined whether fried food intake was associated with higher prevalence of prehypertension and hypertension combined in a cross-sectional study of the Filipino Women's Diet and Health Study (FiLWHEL). SUBJECTS/METHODS: This study included a total of 428 women aged 20-57 years who have ever been married to Korean men. Prehypertension was defined as 120 - < 140 mmHg of SBP or 80 - < 90 mmHg of DBP and hypertension as SBP ≥ 140 mmHg or DBP ≥ 90 mmHg. Fried food intake was assessed using one-day 24-hour recall. Fried foods were categorized into total, deep/shallow and pan/stir fried foods. The odds ratio (OR)s and 95% confidence interval (CI)s were calculated using multivariate logistic regression. RESULTS: The prevalence of prehypertension and hypertension combined was 41.36% in this population. High fried food intake was associated with high prevalence of prehypertension and hypertension combined. The odds of having prehypertension and hypertension was higher in the 3rd tertile of fried food intake among fried food consumers compared to non-fried food consumers (OR = 2.46, 95% CI = 1.24, 4.87; P for trend = 0.004). Separate analysis for types of frying showed that deep and shallow fried food intake was associated with prevalence of prehypertension and hypertension combined for comparing the 3rd tertile vs. non-fried food consumers (OR = 2.93; 95% CI = 1.57-5.47; P for trend = < 0.001). CONCLUSIONS: This study showed the evidence that high fried food intake was significantly associated with high prevalence of prehypertension and hypertension combined among Filipino women married to Korean men.

성인의 만성질환관련 탄수화물 식사지침 연구 (Carbohydrate Intake Associated with Risk Factors of Coronary Heart Disease in the Adults: NHANES III)

  • Recent research reported health risks associate with high carbohydrates diets. Objectives of this study were to evaluate in a cross-sectional study if high carbohydrate diet is associated with coronary heart disease(CHD) risk factors: examined blood concnetration of triglyceride(TG), total cholesterol, high density lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C), plasma glucose, systolic blood pressure(BP), body mas index(BMI), wasit-hip ratio(WHR) and waist-stature ratio(WSR). Using the most recent US National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey(IIINHANES III) data, the nationally representative US population (3772 men, 4095 women of 25-64 years of age) was divided into low vs. high carbohydrate diet groups(below 40% vs. above 60% energy intake from cab carbohydrates) and compared by the CHD risk factors. Triglyceride was higher(p<0.001) in the high carbohydrate group, whereas high density-lipoprotein cholesterol(HDL-C)was lower(p<0.01) in the high carbohydrate diet group. In plasma glucose, there was no significant differences between high carbohydrate diet and low carbohydrate diet. In adiposity(BMI, WHR and WSR), it also showed no significant differences, After adjustment for age, ethnicity, alcohol and smoking in upper 60%-carbohydrate diet, Odds Ratio of TG and HDL-C were 1.42 and 1.23 in men and 1.22 and 1.17 in women. 50-60% carbohydrate diet was associated with decreased risk of CHD. Dietary guidelines for Koreans recommend 60-70% of total energy from carbohydrate, as Koreans traditionally consumed high carbohydrate diets. In a cross-sectional population of adults, diets containing 55-60% energy from carbohydrate were suggested as a dietary guideline of carbohydrate intake for Koreans.   • 하지혈관에 비해 상지혈관질환은 드물기 때문에 상지혈관계에 대한 실험적, 수치해석적 연구는 매우 드물다. 본 논문에서는 최초로 MRA 영상데이터로부터 한국 성인 왼팔의 혈관계, 상완동맥에서 1 mm 이상의 손가락동맥들에 이르는, 3차원 컴퓨터 모델을 제작하였다. 이 모델에 대해 수치해석을 수행하여 정상, 주기유동에 대한 속도장, 압력장을 계산하였고 주요 분지관에서의 유량분배와 벽전단응력 분포에 대해 분석하였다.

유비쿼터스 헬스 케어 시스템의 설계 및 구현 (Design and Implementation of a ubiquitous health care system)

  • 본 논문에서는 언제 어디서나 환자의 건강상태를 체크할 수 있는 유비쿼터스 헬스 케어 시스템을 구현하였다. 구현된 시스템은 front-end와 back-end로 구성되는데 front-end에는 온도, 습도, 조도 등 환경 센서 그룹과 혈압, 심전도, 맥박 등의 헬스 센서 그룹, 센싱 자료를 유무선으로 전달하는 게이트웨이, 환자를 인식하는 RFID 리더기로 구성된다. back-end 로는 측정데이터를 전달하는 포워드, 측정 결과를 모니터링 할 수 있는 모니터 프로그램, 개인별 측정값을 저장하는 의료 정보 수집 서버로 구성된다. 구현된 센서 노드는 지그비(Zigbee) 프로토콜을 통하여 센서 네트워크를 구성하며 초소형 보드에 적합한 TinyOS가 내장되어 있다. 자료 전달을 위한 게이트웨이는 무선 리녹스 단말기로 구성되어 서버로 무선 랜을 통하여 센싱된 정보를 실시간으로 전송한다. 또한 의료 정보 수집 서버는 단말기에서 얻은 데이터를 저장 관리하며 긴급 상황 발생 시 연계된 의료진에게 환자의 상태를 보고하도록 설계되었다. 실험 결과 지그비 통신 프로토콜을 이용한 센서 네트워크를 통하여 유비쿼터스 헬스 케어 시스템이 구현 가능함을 확인하였다.

가토에서 국소 마취제와 Epinephrine이 대퇴동맥이 혈류에 미치는 영향 (The Effects of Local Anesthetic Agent and Epinephrine on Blood Flow of Femoral Artery in Rabbit)

  • Many surgeons and anesthesiologists prefer using vasoconstrictor mixed with local anesthetic agent to reduce the incidence of side effects and prolong the duration of analgesia because most local anesthetic agents, except cocaine, were believed to possess vasodilating effect. However, some investigators recently reported vasoconstricting effect of local anesthetic agents. There is still controversy on the vasoactive effect of local anesthetic agents. So this study is aimed to clarify the vasoactive effect of local anesthetics in the animal model resembling clinical settings. Rabbits were anesthesized with ketamine and haloghane, and respirations were controlled with Harvard animal ventilator. Lidocaine (0.5%, 1.0%, 1.5%) and bupivacaine (0.125%, 0.25% and 0.5%) with or without 1:100,000 epinephrine were subdermaly injected on the femoral bupivacaine of the femoral artery were measured with Doppler flow meter in vivo. The mean arterial pressure, pulse rate, arterial blood gases, pH and level of serum electrolytes were measured at every 2 minute interval for 30 minutes. Results were as follows: 1) There was no significant vasoconstriction with 0.5% lidocaine and 0.125% bupivacaine. 2) Statistically significant (p<0.05) vasodilations were observed with lidocaine (1.0~2.0%) and bupivacaine (0.25~0.5%). 3) There were no changes on the duration of vasodilation induced by local anesthetic agents of various concentrations. 4) Onset of vasodilation induced by local anesthetic agents of high concentration were faster than that of lower concentrations. 5) In the mixed injection group of epinephrine and local anesthetic agent, the vasoconstriction induced by epinephrine was completely reversed by local anesthetics, approximately 5 minutes later. In conclusion, local anesthetic agents at dose exceeding 1.0% lidocaine and 0.25% bupivacaine increase local blood flow significantly in animal study in vivo which is applicable in human clinical settings. The increase blood flow may be due to dilatation of blood vessel. Further study on the analysis of association between amount of absorbed local anesthetics in blood vessels and dilatation of blood vessels is needed.

인체에서 맥파전달시간을 이용한 호흡노력 모니터링 (Respiratory Effort Monitoring Using Pulse Transit Time in Human)

  • 본 연구는 동맥의 압력에 따라 변하는 맥파전달시간(pulse transit time, PTT)을 이용하여 호흡노력을 검출하기 위하여 호흡에 따른 PTT 변화를 관찰하였다. PTT는 심전도의 R파 피크로부터 말초에서 나타나는 광전용적맥(photoplethysmograph, PPG)의 최대기울기점까지 시간이다. 생체 신호를 아날로그-디지탈 변환하여 PC에서 매번 심장주기마다 PTT를 측정하였으며 이산적인 결과를 스플라인 보간법을 사용하여 그래프로 제시하였다. 소프트웨어는 $C^{++}$을 사용하여 windows 환경에서 운용하였다. 안정상태 호흡 시에는 호흡의 주기와 일치하는 주기적인 PTT의 변화가 있었다. 호흡 심도를 증가시킴에 따라 PTT의 진폭이 증가하였으며, 기도저항을 증가시킨 경우에도 PTT의 진폭이 증가하는 양상을 보였다. 이러한 결과는 PTT가 호흡노력에 따라 반응하는 것을 시사한다. 아울러 PTT를 이용한 호흡노력 모니터링은 비침습적 방법으로써 호흡장애를 감시하는데 유용하게 사용될 수 있음을 시사한다.
