The purpose of this study was to investigate the eating habits and eating behaviors, nutrition knowledge of students in 4, 5 and 6th graders of elementary school in Jeonju Area. The subjects for questionnaire were 2,568 elementary school students (boys 1,364, girls 1,204). The results were analyzed by SPSS program, and were as follows. In anthropometric data, there were significant differences between boys and girls. In eating habits and eating behaviors, there were significant differences in the rate of 'Hasty eating habit(p<0.01)', 'Most heavy meal(p<0.01)', 'Eating when receive stress(p<0.05)', and 'Frequency of snack eating per day(p<0.01)' between boys and girls. In total scores of nutrition knowledge, there were significant differences between boys and girls. In nutrition knowledge, there were significant differences in the rate of 'Carbohydrate and fat give heat and force.(p<0.001)', 'Carbohydrate is nutrient that make muscle and blood of our body.(p<0.01)', 'Overeating of carbohydrate does not contribute gain of weight. (p<0.05)', To intake vitamin, it is good to eat fresh fruit and vegetable.(p<0.01)', 'Calcium deficiency is leading to anemia.(p<0.001)' between boys and girls. In conclusion, systematical educational programs need to be developed at elementary school. These should include information about achieving a balanced diet, good eating habit and behavior, meal management and Korean dietary culture. Also, nutritional education at home must be emphasized.
A human being as a client has been understood only through a western cultural view so far, now we put forth efforts to set up the concept which is suitable for our korean nursing situation. This paper was reviewed to discover Korean behavior pattern through the concept of the human being in Korean traditional thoughts to keep in pace with above idea and develope the stem of the nursing knowledge. Behavior pattern usually has two aspects, the one is unconscious behavior which conform to old custom and the other is conscious one which abide by a conventional rule. The former was considered through the concept of human being in Tan-kun mythodology, Divination, Tong-hak (Cheondoism) and the latter was Buddism, Confucianism, Sung-ri hak (Human nature and natural Laws), Sil-hak (The rule of Heaven philosophy). Through these traditional thoughts, we can lead Humanity, Present-oriented, Family-focused, Ranking-centered, Fatalism, Projection in Korean behavior pattern and unconscious behavior correspond to the Naturalistic human being, conscious to Societic human being as well. Even though Korean behavior patterns were changed to the times, we found that Korean natural characteristics were remained in the of unconscious-conscious behavior. This point must be considered for caring a client better than anything else in our nursing situiation.
This paper focused on examining the middle school students' perceptions of characteristics(personal knowledge, human responsibility, impact on personal life, and predicted trend, behavior will) of 10 global and 8 local environmental issues. Subjects(N=516) demonstrated by completing a survey that they perceived the characteristics of issues differently on global and local scales, and to a degree those characteristics are related. First, middle school students' perceptions of global and local environmental issues were above mid-point mainly, and perceptions of local environmental issues were higher than those of global environmental issues. At perceptions of characteristics, They perceived that the personal knowledge of global environmental issues were higher than those of local issues, that the human responsibility effects on global environmental issues more than local environmental issues, that global environmental issues in the future, will be more serious. For each environmental issues, the perception of global warming among the global issues was highest, the perception of yellow dust and air pollution among the local issues was highest. For perceptions of characteristics, behavior will to solve the environmental issues was lower than that of 4 characteristics(personal knowledge, human responsibility, impact on personal life, and predicted trend). Second, there was significant difference of the perceptions of two scale environmental issues for area and sex. It showed that Seoul students' perceptions were higher than Kong-ju students' perceptions according to area, and that girl students' perceptions were higher than boy students' perceptions according to sex. Third, correlations among issues were significant. Especially, it was positive relationship between knowledge and human responsibility, human responsibility and impact on personal human responsibility and predicted trend. Educators and communicators should take into account the perceived characteristics of environmental issues and choose effective information sources and teaching methods to improve students' understanding of human-induced environmental changes.
Purpose: This study investigated the influence of cervical cancer knowledge, human papillomavirus (HPV) knowledge, self-efficacy, and uncertainty on the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior in HPV-infected women. Methods: This descriptive correlational study was conducted among 129 adult women aged 20 to 65 years who received positive HPV results at a general hospital in Changwon, Korea. The dataset was analyzed using descriptive statistics, the independent t-test, analysis of variance, the Pearson correlation coefficient, and multiple regression. Results: The mean score for the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior was high (4.43±0.65). This intention was significantly different according to age at first sexual intercourse (F=7.38, p=.001), HPV type (F=4.79, p=.010), vaccination (t=3.19, p=.002), and condom use (t=3.03, p=.003). The intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior showed significant, weak-to-moderate positive correlations with HPV knowledge (r=.22, p=.012) and self-efficacy (r=.42, p<.001). Self-efficacy (β=.46, p<.001), first sexual intercourse at <20 years (β=.45, p<.001), first sexual intercourse at 20-24 years (β=.29, p=. 018), HPV high- and low-risk group infection (β=.26, p=.019), HPV high-risk group infection (β=.26, p=.026), and vaccination (β=.21, p=.007) significantly influenced the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior. These variables explained 34.6% of variance in intention. Conclusion: Study findings support the need to develop a program that effectively conveys accurate information about cervical cancer prevention to HPV-infected women and helps them enhance self-efficacy to boost the intention to engage in cervical cancer preventive behavior.
The principal objective of this study was to determine the effects of diet knowledge and perception on diet practice behavior among university students. Data were collected between March and April of 2005 from 523 male and female university students in Seoul and Chungbuk, via a self-administered questionnaire. The subjects included 217 male students (41.5%) and 306 female students (58.5%), and 52.0% of the subjects were 21-23 years old. With regard to residence type, 42.6% of the subjects lived in the dormitory, home (29.1%) self-boarding (19.5%) and meal (8.8) were in the order. The average weights and heights of the subjects were as follows: 70.9$\pm$9.0 kg and 174.3$\pm$4.4 cm in the male students and 53.9$\pm$5.9 kg and 161.3$\pm$4.5 cm in the female students. The average BMI values of the male and female students were 23.4$\pm$2.5 and 20.8$\pm$2.1, respectively. The average nutritional knowledge scores were as follows: 1.96 out of 3.0, dietary habit (2.13), nutrition (2.0), exercise (1.98), preferred food (1.90), and chronic disease (1.79). We noted no significant differences between the male and female subjects in terms of scored points. Nutritional knowledge by gender and residence type were shown to be significantly different--the male subjects had higher scores for exercise than did the female subjects. The self-boarding subjects had significantly lower scores with regard to nutritional knowledge and chronic disease. The experience and duration of previous diet practice were also significantly different with regard to gender and residence type. The male subjects tended to conduct diet practice for longer periods than females. The self-boarding students reported more attempts at diet behavior, but for shorter durations. The results show that the nutritional knowledge and diet practice behavior of the subjects were influenced by gender and residence type.
The purpose of this study to find out of the middle school students' knowledge, consciousness and behavior of the environmental problems. The sample of this study were 489 middle school students in Busan area. The collected data were statistically analized by using SPSS program. The major findings were as follows: 1. The level of middle school students' consciousness of environmental problems is 4.07 out of perpect 5. The highest was waste pollution(M=4.35), and the lowest was noise pollution(M=3.39). The level of middle school students' behavior of environmental problems is 3_49 out of perpect 5, which is somewhat lower than the consciousness of environmental problems. The highest was air pollution(M=4.11), and the lowest was water pollution(M=3.23). 2. The middle school students' consciousness and behavior of environmental problems showed passive corelation$(P<.01)$ : The higher the consciousness of environmental problems is better the behavior of environmental problems. 3. The level of middle school students' knowledge of environmental problems showed notable difference with sex$(P<.01)$ and a school year$(P<.05)$.
This study examined green consumption behavior according to the lifestyles of college students. The data were collected from 314 college students in Yeungnam region by a self-administered questionnaire. Frequencies, Cronbach's alpha, factor analysis, cluster analysis, chi-square tests, one-way analysis of variance, Duncan's multiple range tests, Pearson's correlation analysis, and multiple regression analyses were conducted by SPSS Windows V.18.0. According to the result of factor analysis, lifestyles were categorized into six factors: thrift-saving type, enthusiastic activity type, brand ostentation type, freedom-seeking type, material oriented type, and practice-seeking type. Cluster analysis showed respondents belonged to one of four groups: thrift practice group, indifference group, freedom-seeking group, and material ostentation group. The levels of green purchase behavior, green usage behavior and green disposal behavior of the respondents was not high. The thrift practice group showed higher levels of green purchase behavior, green usage behavior, and green disposal behavior. Finally, according to multiple regression analyses, environmental consciousness, knowledge about green consumption, lifestyle groups were the significant factors affecting green consumption behaviors. These results imply that green consumption education for college students should be activated to induce green life.
본 논문에서는 다중 분류기의 통합을 위해 퍼지 행위지식 공간을 구성하고 이를 이용하는 방법을 제안한다.기존의 행위지식 공간은 각 분류기들이 서로 독립적일 필요가 없고 적응적 학습이 가능한 것으로 단지 하나의 클래스 레이블만 을 출력하는 분류기들의 통합에 가장 최적의 방법으로 알려졌다.그러나 행위지식 공간은 각 분류기가 출력하는 클래스 레이블에 대한 측정값과 경험적 지식을 통합과정에 반영하기 어렵다는 문제점을 갖고 있다.이러한 행위지식 공간의 문제점을 해결하기 위해 본 논문에서는 퍼지개념을 이용한 퍼지 행위지식 공간을 정의하고 이를 다중 분류기의 통합에 적용하기 위한 방법을 기술한다.또한,퍼지 행위지식 공간의 유용성을 증명하기 위해 각 분류기로 부터 얻어진 클래스 레이블들과 이에 관련된 측정값을 포함하는 분류결과들의 통합에 적용된 실험결과를 기술한다.
The purpose of this study was to examine the degree of concern about endocrine disruptors, the degree of recognition about the risk of endocrine disruptors towards humans, the degree of worry about the risk of endocrine disruptors towards ones self or family, information-obtaining behavior regarding endocrine disruptors, the degree of knowledge and the degree of behavior to decrease exposure to endocrine disruptors, and the degree of an educational need for endocrine disruptors in the dietary life of elementary school students. The data were collected from 162 students in Seoul, Incheon, Daejeon, Daegu, Busan and Gwangju. Frequencies, Cronbach's alpha, t tests, analysis of variance, Duncan's multiple range tests and chi-square tests were conducted using SPSS V.14.0 for WINDOWS. The results of this study were as follows. The degree of concern about endocrine disruptors was not high. The respondents obtained most of their information regarding endocrine disruptors from TV/radio. Respondents had difficulty in acquiring and understanding the information. Both the degree of knowledge and the degree of behavior to decrease exposure were not high. The respondents showed a high degree of educational need for endocrine disruptors, the most important was methods to prevent damage from endocrine disruptors followed by risk of endocrine disruptors.

We would discuss the goal and the function of mathematics education in relation with the prosperity of a technological civilization. But, the goal and the function are not unrelated with the spiritual culture which is basis of the technological civilization. Most societies of today can be called open democratic societies or societies which are at least standing such. The concept of rationality in such societies is a methodological principle which completes the democratic society. At the same time, it is asserted as an educational value concept which explains comprehensively the standpoint and the attitude of one who is educated in such a society. Especially, we can considered the cultivation of a mathematical thinking or a logical thinking in the goal of mathematics education as a concept which is included in such an educational value concept. The use of the concept of rationality depends on various viewpoints and criterions. We can analyze the concept of rationality at two aspects, one is the aspect of human behavior and the other is that of human belief or knowledge. Generally speaking, the rationality in human behavior means a problem solving power or a reasoning power as an instrument, i. e. the human economical cast of mind. But, the conceptual condition like this cannot include value concept. On the other hand, the rationality in human knowledge is related with the problem of rationality in human belief. For any statement which represents a certain sort of knowledge, its universal validity cannot be assured. The statements of value judgment which represent the philosophical knowledge cannot but relate to the argument on the rationality in human belief, because their finality do not easily turn out to be true or false. The positive statements in science also relate to the argument on the rationality in human belief, because there are no necessary relations between the proposition which states the all-pervasive rule and the proposition which is induced from the results of observation. Especially, the logical statement in logic or mathematics resolves itself into a question of the rationality in human belief after all, because all the logical proposition have their logical propriety in a certain deductive system which must start from some axioms, and the selection and construction of an axiomatic system cannot but depend on the belief of a man himself. Thus, we can conclude that a question of the rationality in knowledge or belief is a question of the rationality both in the content of belief or knowledge and in the process where one holds his own belief. And the rationality of both the content and the process is namely an deal form of a human ability and attitude in one's rational behavior. Considering the advancement of mathematical knowledge, we can say that mathematics is a good example which reflects such a human rationality, i. e. the human ability and attitude. By this property of mathematics itself, mathematics is deeply rooted as a good. subject which as needed in moulding the ability and attitude of a rational person who contributes to the development of the open democratic society he belongs to. But, it is needed to analyze the practicing and pursuing the rationality especially in mathematics education. Mathematics teacher must aim the rationality of process where the mathematical belief is maintained. In fact, there is no problem in the rationality of content as long the mathematics teacher does not draw mathematical conclusions without bases. But, in the mathematical activities he presents in his class, mathematics teacher must be able to show hem together with what even his own belief on the efficiency and propriety of mathematical activites can be altered and advanced by a new thinking or new experiences.
