수송 규모의 경제 효과를 고려한 단일 할당 허브 네트워크 설계 모형의 개발 (Development of a Single Allocation Hub Network Design Model with Transportation Economies of Scale)

  • 수송 규모의 경제 효과는 허브 네트워크의 특수한 현상이다. 허브 네트워크의 중요한 특성은 규모의 경제 효과로 인한 비용 절감과 허브 시설 운영 및 수송량 집화에 따른 지체와 관련한 비용들을 정량화하는 것이다. 그럼에도 불구하고 허브 입지 문제의 NP-complete 특성으로 인하여, 대부분의 기존 연구자들은 근사해 도출을 위한 휴리스틱 알고리즘 개발에 초점을 맞추었다. 본 연구의 목적은 규모의 경제 효과를 반영하는 허브 네트워크 설계 모형을 개발하는 것이다. 모형은 허브 네트워크의 특수성을 고려하고 다양한 비용요소들을 결정할 수 있도록 설계된다. 개발된 모형식을 반영하는 휴리스틱 알고리즘이 개발되며 모형의 결과들은 실제 데이터를 이용하여 최근 발표된 연구결과들과 비교된다. 분석 결과, 제안된 모형은 수송량 집화에 따른 규모의 경제 효과를 잘 반영할 수 있는 것으로 확인되었다. 본 연구는 효율적이고 합리적인 네트워크 설계의 이론적 기반을 구성함과 동시에 현재 및 계획 중인 물류시스템의 평가에도 기여할 수 있을 것으로 사료된다.

Experimental Investigation on Separated Flows of Axial Flow Stator and Diagonal Flow Rotor

  • Experimental investigations were conducted for the internal flows of the axial flow stator and diagonal flow rotor. Corner separation near the hub surface and the suction surface of stator blade are mainly focused on. For the design flow rate, the values of the axial velocity and the total pressure at stator outlet decrease between near the suction surface and near the hub surface by the influence of corner wall. For the flow rate of 80-90% of the design flow rate, the corner separation of the stator between the suction surface and the hub surface is observed, which becomes widely spread for 80% of the design flow rate. At rotor outlet for 81% of the design flow rate, the low axial velocity region grows between near the suction surface of rotor and the casing surface because of the tip leakage flow of the rotor.

서울대 창업생태계의 형성과정과 허브 대학으로의 변화 (Building the University Entrepreneurial Ecosystem towards Hub University at Seoul National University in Korea)

  • 본 연구는 서울대 창업생태계의 형성과정을 밝히고, 각 시기별 서울대의 역할 변화와 그 원인에 대해 탐구하였다. 서울대 창업 관련 2차자료를 검토하고, 서울대 학생 창업가 및 관계자 17인에 대한 반구조화된 심층인터뷰를 진행하여 3세대에 걸친 서울대 창업생태계 형성과정과 허브 대학으로의 변화를 포착하였다. 첫째, 서울대 1세대 창업생태계는 1990년대 말 제1벤처붐과 산학연계 정책에 의해 태동하였고, 2010년 제2벤처붐의 시작과 함께 2세대로 진입하였으며, 2017년 정부 창업지원정책의 확대개편 및 벤처 투자시장의 활성화를 토대로 3세대가 나타났다. 둘째, 서울대는 각 시기별로 학문의 상아탑에서 부터 지식 및 노동력 공급자적 대학, 그리고 네트워크 허브 대학으로 역할이 변화하였다. 셋째, 서울대 창업생태계의 허브 기관 및 조직은 정부 정책의 지원을 받았으며, 서울대 창업생태계 네트워크는 이들 기관 및 조직에 착근되어 있다. 또한 내부적으로 학생 창업가들의 자발적인 창업문화 형성, 대학 차원의 지원, 대학이 입지한 지역과의 연계 구축을 통해 허브 대학으로서 창업생태계의 진화가 이루어지고 있다.

  • 글로벌 금융위기의 진원지인 동북아시아 지역은 전통적으로 석유의 생산 및 소비 불균형이 심화된 지역이며, 최근에는 급증하는 석유거래로 인해 저장 및 수송설비의 부족현상까지 겪고 있어 안정적 석유 공급을 위협하고 있다. 따라서 동북아시아 지역 내 독립적인 석유물류허브 기능을 갖춘 시설과 석유거래의 기능까지 담당할 수 있는 시장의 형성이 요구되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 동북아 지역의 석유물류허브 구축 후보 국가를 대상으로 한 석유산업 관련 설비인 정제시설의 정태적 및 동태적 효율성 분석을 통해 시사점을 도출하였다. 동북아 역내 주요 국가들의 석유정제설비의 효율성은 우리나라가 가장 높은 것으로 나타났으며 우리나라가 동북아시아 지역의 석유물류거점의 역할을 수행하기 위해서는 정부의 적극적인 정책지원이 필요하다.

The nasoalveolar molding technique versus DynaCleft nasal elevator application in infants with unilateral cleft lip and palate

  • Background: The introduction of presurgical nasoalveolar molding represented a significant departure from traditional molding methods. Developed by Grayson and colleagues in 1993, this technique combines an intraoral molding device with a nasal molding stent. This study aimed to compare the Grayson nasoalveolar molding appliance versus DynaCleft appliance as two methods of presurgical nasoalveolar molding. Methods: A single-blinded, randomized, parallel-arm clinical trial was conducted. Sixteen infants with complete unilateral cleft lip and palate were enrolled and divided into two groups of eight. Group 1 was treated with a modified Grayson nasoalveolar molding appliance that included a nasal stent, while group 2 was treated with DynaCleft elastic adhesive tape and an external nasal elevator. Standardized digital photographs of each infant were taken at baseline and post-treatment using a professional camera. Nine extraoral anthropometric measurements were obtained from each image using image measurement software. Results: The modified Grayson nasoalveolar appliance demonstrated a more significant improvement compared to DynaCleft in terms of alar length projection (on both sides), columella angle, and nasal tip projection. Symmetry ratios also showed enhancement, with significant improvements observed in nasal width, nasal basal width, and alar length projection (p< 0.05). Conclusion: Both the modified Grayson nasoalveolar appliance and DynaCleft appear to be effective presurgical infant orthopedics treatment options, demonstrating improvements in nasolabial aesthetics. The modified Grayson appliance, equipped with a nasal stent, improved nasal symmetry more effectively than DynaCleft, resulting in a straighter columella and a more medially positioned nasal tip.

  • The database integration is being emphasized to one way of the companies collaboration. To database integration, companies are use like one database what their own, it can be provided more efficient service to customer. However, there exist some difficulty to database integration. that is the database security and database heterogeneity problems. In this paper, we proposed the MapReduce based p2p DBaaS hub system to solve database heterogeneity problem. The proposed system provides an environment for companies in the P2P cloud to integrate a database of each other. The proposed system uses DBaaS Hub for a collection of data in the P2P cloud, and use MapReduce for integrating the collected data.

  • In this study, ventilation flow rate and pressure rise through a tunnel are simulated numerically using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) for various conditions such as roughness height of the surface of tunnel, swirl angle and hub/tip ratio of jet fan, and entrance and exit effects. By using a modified wall function, friction factor can be predicted with respect to the Moody chart within 10% of error for the circular pipe flow and 15% for the present tunnel. For more accurate design, the effect of the swirl angle and hub/tip ratio of jet fan, which is not included in the theoretical equation of pressure rise by jet fan needs to be considered.

  • A impeller hub is usually made through three forging processes : forward extrustion, upsetting and finishing. The finishing process is closed die forging in which the load increases abruptly at the final stage, resulting in underfilling in the finished product due to insufficient load capacity of the press. In this study, the rigid-plastic finite element analysis was applied to the impeller hub forging process in order to optimize process and to estimate required load. As a result, two kind of improvements for the process were suggested to reduce the load requirement in the finishing process.

Effects of Hub-to-Tip Ratio and Reynolds Number on the Performance of Impulse Turbine for Wave Energy Power Plant

  • The objective of this paper is to present the performance comparison of the impulse turbines for different diameters. In the study, the investigation has been performed experimentally by model testing for some diameters, especially 0.3 m and 0.6 m. The experiment was performed for Reynolds number range of 0.17 ${\times}$ 10$\^$5/ -1.09 ${\times}$ 10$\^$5/ and for different values of hub-to-tip ratio ν ranging from 0.6 to 0.85. As a result, it was found that the critical Reynolds number is to be around 0.5 ${\times}$ 10$\^$5/ for ν=0.6 and 0.4 ${\times}$ 10$\^$5/ for ν=0.7. For the hub-to-tip ratio, the optimum value is 0.7 when the turbine is operated at lower Reynolds number. However, its value seems to be 0.6 at higher Reynolds number in the tested range.

  • Many researchers have been trying to improve the propulsion efficiency of a propeller. In this study, the numerical analysis is carried out for the POW(Propeller Open Water test) performance of a propeller equipped with an energy saving device called PHVC(Propeller Hub Vortex Control). PHVC is aimed to control the propeller hub vortex behind the propeller so that the rotational kinetic energy loss can be reduced. The unsteady Reynolds Averaged Navier-Stokes(URANS) equations are assumed as the governing flow equations and are solved by using a commercial CFD(Computational Fluid Dynamics) software, where SST k-ω model is selected for turbulence closure. The computed characteristic values, thrust, torque and propulsion efficiency coefficients for the target propeller with and without PHVC and the local flows in the propeller wake region are validated by the model test results of KRISO LCT(Large Cavitation Tunnel). It is concluded from the present numerical results that CFD can be a good promising method in the assessment of the hydrodynamic performance of PHVC in the design stage.
