Nowadays, It is required human body-friendly, good mechanical properties, and economical efficiency material, simultaneously. The material to meet above requirement condition rear up high nitrogen stainless steel(HNS). However, HNS have a lot of problem such as poor workability, hot crack sensitivity. So, It is needed the condition of plastic working to overcome above many problem. In this study, VIM ingot with 100kg was made by pressurized vacuum induction melting. And then, The slab perform for hot rolling was prepared by open-die forging. Hot rolling process was performed by computer simulation according to change of height reduction, rolling temperature, heating numbers, rolling pass and so forth. The results of analysis were investigated between analysis and lab-scale rolling product.

The effect of lubrication on the development of textures and Microstructure was studied by different lubricating condition during hot rolling of AA1050 aluminum alloy. Hot rolling without lubrication led to the evolution of the pronounced through-thickness texture gradients, whereas hot rolling with lubrication gave rise to the formation of uniform rolling texture in the whole thickness layer. The variation of texture and microstructure according to hot rolling condition are investigated by X-ray diffractometer (XRD) and Electron Back-Scattered Diffraction (EBSD). The experimental results were discussed base on the finite element method (FEM) simulation. FEM calculation reveals that a larger friction between roll and sheet causes the deviated strain state from a plane strain leading to the formation of shear textures in the thickness layers close to the surface.

Thickness control of hot-rolled strips has become an important issue in recent years because of the need for improving the quality of the hot-rolled strip. In this study, a modifying method of rolling force set-up with consideration of spread was developed to improve the thickness uniformity at the finishing rolling units in hot rolling. Through the analysis of real production data it was found that the accuracy of the rolling force determined from the finishing mill set-up (FSU) model dominantly governed the thickness uniformity in rolled plates at the front. Based on this analysis , several examples were selected to calculate the spread of rolled plate using three dimensional rigid thermo-viscoplastic finite element program. FE analysis results were used to train the neural network system that can predict the spread hot-rolled plate and the rolling force was modified based on the predicted value of spread. The modified rolling forces were closer to the measured rolling force so it can be expected that the accuracy of thickness uniformity of hot-rolled plate will be improved.
In recent years, the quality requirements from the customers of hot rolled steel strip have been steadily increasing in diversity and strictness. To meet these quality requirements as well as to improve productivity, steel mills have been doing their efforts for developing high performance Automatic Gauge Control (AGC) system. However, it is very time consuming and also needs a lot of money to develop the new technologies of AGC in actual mill. So, there has been a demand for developing the Dynamic Hot Rolling Simulator since late 80's. It is a kind of software packages and can analyze the dynamic behaviors of hot finishing rolling process without laborious experiments in actual mill. It can also be used as a designing tool of Automatic Gauge Controller. In this work, the Dynamic Hot Rolling Simulator which is applicable to 6 sands hot strip mill rolling was developed. The MATLAB with SIMLINK was used as a software developer for making the main part of simulator because it is very powerful tool for modeling, integrating, controller design, and simulation. In this paper, the structures and the mathematical models of the simulator were briefly described and the results of simulation on the transient phenomena of hot rolling process with actual mill data were also presented.
Different pass strains and rolling temperatures were applied to understand the effects of pass strain and rolling temperature on flow stress and flow strain of AA5083 alloy. The specimens were prepared by conventional casting process followed by hot rolling. Hot torsion tests were conducted at temperature ranges of 350 to 52$0^{\circ}C$ under a strain rate of 1.0/sec. During the process, hot-restoration mechanisms, dynamic recovery(DRV) or dynamic recrystallization (DRX), of the AA5083 alloy were analyzed from the flow curves and deformed microstructures. It was found that while the rolling strain per pass and rolling temperature have little effect on the folw stress, they have significant effect on the failure strain. The DRV was responsible for the hot restoration mechanism of the hot-rolled specimen. heavily elongated grains and small subgrains containing dislocations were obtaned during the hot deformation. This was due to the presence of Al6Mn precipitate in the alloy.
The endless hot rolling has been focused as an innovative process technology for increasing the productivity drastically and reducing the imperfection of quality in hot rolled steel strip. To realize it in actual mill, a lots of new facilities such as bar coiler, movable LASER welder and high speed strip shear should be equipped. And also it is necessary to develop the control technique for changing the roll gap and rolling speed during rolling, which is named as Flying Gap and Speed Change control technology. To prevent a strip rupture caused by excessive tension, it is very important to minimize fluctuations in strip thickness and intension during FGSC control. In this paper, the mathematical model for FGSC control algorithm was suggested and dynamic simulation is performed to accertain the effect of suggested control method on fluctuations in strip thickness and tension. For endless hot rolling simulation, a lots of FGSC control situations, for instance - strip thickness change from strip to strip - strip width change from strip to strip - carbon content change from strip to strip are considered.

The automation of hot rolling process requires the developments of several mathematical models for simulation and quantitative description of the industrial operations involved in order to achieve the continuously increasing productivity, flexibility and quality(dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties and surface properties). The mathematical modeling of hot rolling process has long been recognized to be a desirable approach to investigate rolling operating practice and design of mill requirement. To achieve this objectives, a new teaming method with neural network to improve the accuracy of rolling force prediction in hot rolling mill is developed. Also, Genetic Algorithm(GA) is applied to select the optimal structure of the neural network and compared with that of engineers experience. It is shown from this research that both structure selection methods can lead to similar results.

In the foe of global competition, the requirements for the continuously increasing productivity, flexibility and quality(dimensional accuracy, mechanical properties and surface properties) have imposed a mai or change on steel manufacturing industries. Indeed, one of the keys to achieve this goal is the automation of the steel-making process using AI(Artificial Intelligence) techniques. The automation of hot rolling process requires the developments of several mathematical models for simulation and quantitative description of the industrial operations involved. In this paper, an on-line training neural network for both long-term teaming and short-term teaming was developed in order to improve the prediction of rolling force in hot rolling mill. This analysis shows that the predicted rolling force is very closed to the actual rolling force, and the thickness error of the strip is considerably reduced.
The aim of the current study was to develop an advanced prediction model for the slab width spread during hot rough rolling. Rough rolling consists of both vertical rolling using a set of profiled edger rolls and horizontal rolling using a set of plain work rolls. FE-simulations were performed to investigate the influences of process variables such as initial slab width, initial thickness, sizing draft, edger roll draft and work roll draft on the final slab width variation. From a statistical analysis of the simulation results, an advanced model, which can predict the slab width spread during the edger rolling and horizontal rolling, was developed. The experimental hot rolling trials showed that the newly developed model provided fairly accurate predictions on the slab width spread during hot rough rolling process using a profiled edger rolls.

The Mechanical properties of steel in hot strip mill were associated with the various rolling conditions such as alloy composition, plastic deformation, cooling history and so on. After coiling process of strip which is the end of hot rolling process, the coil can be the final product or can be applied by another process, that is, cold rolling or skin pass rolling with the additional changes of mechanical properties. Skin pass rolling process with the small reduction affects the mechanical properties of the strip. Because many kinds of hot strips are delivered to the customers after the skin pass process, it is important for us to know the skin pass effects for the mechanical properties of the hot rolling strip. In this study, the variations of mechanical properties of the strip after the skin pass rolling will be discussed. Then, the mathematical model will be proposed for the prediction of mechanical properties of the final products with the comparison between measured and calculated values.
