A study on the flow and thermal analysis of the hot gas casing of gas turbine (가스 터빈 Hot gas casing에 대한 유동 및 열응력 해석)

  • The hot gas casing of gas turbine has operated high temperature and thermal gradient. The structure safety of hot gas casing will be highly depend on the thermal stress. In this paper, flow and thermal stress analysis of hot gas casing is carried out using ANSYS program. The obtained temperature data by flow analysis of hot gas casing apply the load condition of the thermal analysis. The thermal stress analysis is carry out the elastic-plasticity analysis. The pressure, temperature and velocity of the flow and thermal stress of the hot gas casing are presented.

  • The authors have studied on the corrosion resistance of the hot stamped steel sheets for the application to automotive parts. Recently automotive companies have focused on the hot stamped parts to meet the light weighting needs and the safe reason. Because of the cost reduction of the hot stamped parts, automotive companies increase the usage of the coated steel sheets, especially Al-Si coated steel sheets. The coated layer of Al-Si coated steel sheets contains up to 50% of Fe, which was diffused from the steel sheet, after hot stamping. The hot stamped steel sheet was not phosphated due to the oxidation layer of the coating, however, the result of the water resistance test is similar to that of the conventional GA steel sheets. The pitting depth and the weight reduction of the coated layer of hot stamped steel sheets are less than those of GA steel.

  • The Purpose of this study was thermal performance of solar hot water and space heating thermal storage tank. The combi storage tank was designed Tank in Tank type. The tank volume for space heating was 700 $\ell $ and tank volume for hot water was 150 $\ell $. Tank in Tank type storage tank was to replace heat exchange to hot water tank. The result showed that the Heating value was 67.25MJ and domestic hot water value was 51.93MJ. Supply to the hot water volume was 521 $\ell $ more than about 3 times as that of the hot water tank volume.

  • In this study, the effect of hot water supply flow rates on energy consumption for radiant floor heating system in apartment were researched by computer simulation. The parametric study of different hot water supply flow rates was done with regard to energy performance and control characteristics, respectively. Also the effect of different hot water supply flow rates on the hot water supply temperatures is studied. As a result, energy consumption were reduced but the response time is increased by reducing the supply flow rate. And energy consumption can be saved by adjusting the hot water supply temperatures with different supply flow rates.

  • Channel width dependence of hot-carrier effect in nMOSFET with shallow trench isolation is analyzed. $I_{sub}$- $V_{G}$ and $\Delta$ $I_{ㅇ}$ measurement data show that MOSFETs with narrow channel-width are more susceptible to the hot-carrier degradation than MOSFETs with wide channel-width. By analysing $I_{sub}$/ $I_{D}$, linear $I_{D}$- $V_{G}$ characteristics, thicker oxide-thickness at the STI edge is identified as the reason for the channel-width dependent hot-carrier degradation. Using the charge-pumping method, $N_{it}$ generation due to the drain avalanche hot-carrier (DAHC) and channel hot-electron (CHE) stress are compared. are compared.

Effect of Heat Stress on Minerals Concentration in Blood and Colostrum of Heifers Around Parturition

  • Sixteen holstein heifers were employed to study the effect of thermal stress on rectal temperature and mineral status of heifers around parturition during hot and cool weather. During the hot weather, rectal temperatures of the heifers measured at 08:30 and 15:30 h from 7 d prepartum to parturition were higher than those during the cool weather. Blood hematocrit and hemoglobin were not significantly different between the hot and cool weather, but at 2 and 1 wk prepartum, those during the hot weather were higher. Plasma Ca, inorganic P and Fe of the heifers during the hot weather were higher than those during the cool weather, but plasma Mg and Zn and serum alkaline phosphatase during the hot weather were lower. Colostral protein and Mg of heifers at parturition during the hot weather were lower than those during the cool weather, but colostral Ca, P, Fe and Zn were not affected by the weather.

The Correction of Fluid Temperature for Hot-wire Anemometer (열선 유속계에 대한 유체 온도의 보정)

  • This paper reports by simple method that is quickly corrected the effects of fluid temperature for the hot wire anemometer. We are concerned with a variable output of hot wire anemometer on arbitrary fluid temperature. Hot wire by measuring boundary layer of turbulent flow has been calibrated by arbitrary temperature lower than 10$0^{\circ}C$, and velocity lower than 20m/s. As a result, we could pick up the temperature factor affected by output of hot wire anemometer from related in output of arbitrary temperature to output of room temperature. By using temperature factor on the output of hot wire anemometer, we also obtained that the relationship of velocity was of no effect by temperature of fluids. About results of calibrated hot wire, uncertainly of velocity is 2.15% at room temperature and 3.1% at arbitrary temperature.

  • Hot forging is widely used in the manufacturing of industry machine component. The mechanical, thermal load and thermal softening which are happened by the high temperature in hot forging process. Tool life decreases considerably due to the softening of the surface layer of a tool caused by a high thermal load and long contact time between the tool and billet. Also, tool life is to a large extent limited by wear, heat crack and plastic deformation in hot forging process. These are one of the main factors affecting die accuracy and tool life. That is because hot forging process has many factors influencing tool life, and there was not accurate in-process data. In this research, life prediction of hot forging tool by wear and plastic deformation analysis considering tempering parameter has been carried out for automobile component. The new developed technique in this study for predicting tool life can give more feasible means to improve the tool life in hot forging process.

The Origin and Effect of Hot Spot Phenomena on Judder Vibration in Automotive Disk Brake (디스크 브레이크에서 열섬 현상이 발생되는 원인과 저더 진동에 미치는 영향)

  • Hot spot phenomenon is caused by non-uniform contact area between brake pad and disk frequent braking. Brake disk deformed by locally concentrated heat increases magnitude of frictional vibration. And this deformation can highly influence the judder vibration. In this experimental study, vibration and hot spot was measured in accordance with rotation of disk and pressure of master cylinder for finding the factors that causes hot spot phenomena. For comparing hot spot aspects with mode shapes of disk, mode shapes were measured by conducting modal test, and analyzed by using finite element analysis. Relation between hot spot phenomenon, and mode shape, pressure of master cylinder and rotation speed of disk respectively, was achieved by hot spot measurement and frequency analysis.
