This study intends to provide sources which enable students to satisfy uniform design as I surveyed preferable uniform design and degree of satisfaction of uniform design to students. The subjects were gathered into 91 middle-high schools and surveys were done among 400 school girls. The results are as follows; 1)The survey of uniform which students wear. For jacket, tailored collar which is single breasted is most common and for blouse, puff sleeve, soutein collar, shirt collar is common. For skirt, lastly, they usually wear side pleats skirt. 2) Thoughts of uniform students preferred uniform to casual. The merit of wearing uniform can represent themselves as the ‘students’on the other hand, the demerit is shown that uniform is inconvenient enough to move. 3)Preference of uniform design. Students prefer tailored jacket, shirt blouse, flare skirt. Basing on these results above, I’d like to suggest something about uniform. The demerit of wearing uniform lies in inconvenience. It would weaken the degree of satisfaction of uniform and have a negative influence on students in physical and mental side. So we have to find out the concrete problems, at the same time, develop measurable study which fit for body. Adolescence is period of developing and establishing self. So they really need rather creative educational atmosphere than stereo typed-control. Reflecting this opinion, Clothing habits can play an important role and in future it is desirable to have students wear not uniform but casual.

Eight female subjects aged between 19 and 21 years old were used to compare 4 kinds of sleeves and pants length estimates of the effect of skin temperatures and thermal and restricted sensation. The subjects were exposed to climatic conditions between 23$\pm$$1^{\circ}C$, RH 65$\pm$5% while repose and exercise. Mean skin temperature became higher according to the sleeves and pants length. 4 kinds of shirts and pants always covered back and chest, but skin temperature of these parts are affected by the length of clothes. Thigh, uppar arm and shin which are covered or uncovered according to the lengh of the sleeve and pants, skin temperature of these parts became higher when convered with clothes than when uncovered. The subjects ballots warmer and more restricted sensation after exercise than after repose and when wear the long sleeved shirts and slacks that when wear the no sleeve shirts and short shorts. In conclusion, three quarter sleeved shirts and pedal pushers are recommended for the rest clothes and no sleeved shirts and shorts for the sports wear under the preceding conditions.

This study examines how class differences are expressed through costumes based on the costumes of characters in Bong Joon-Ho's film . Based on Video on Demand (VOD), the main situations in which characters' costumes change in the play were captured and used as analysis data. Colors, textures, and color symbol were analyzed to find the formative properties shown in the characters' costumes. The results are as follows. The home wear of Kim's family were unsuitable for the top and bottom, faded clothes, and the vague boundary between outdoor and indoor clothes appeared. In comparison, Park's family's home wear was featured a modern and elegant design, a clear distinction that suited purpose and situation. Analysis of street wear showed that the Kim's family had a big difference before and after getting a job, and Park's family wore different costumes for the purpose of going out. Social class expressed in the film costumes were shown to have the characteristics of intrinsic class invariance, temporary class changes, differences in class expression by age, and differences in costume choice by class.

This study was performed to help on the activation plan the purchase of apparel by shopping(catalog/TV/Internet) through investigating and analyzing elements related with apparel purchasing practice, purchasing satisfaction degree, and information demand. The subjects were 165 housewives residing in Cheongju who had bought apparel through home shopping more than once. The questionnaire survey was conducted from July to August, 2002. The results of this study were as follows: 1) Housewives had most a lot of occasions that purchased clothing through TV shopping among home shopping method. 2) Major clothing items that purchased through home shopping were underwear and casual wear. 3) Satisfaction for apparel product purchased via home shopping was difference partially item wise. 4) Respondents were satisfied with design, color, sewing state, but dissatisfied with size and materials. 5) When purchasing apparel through home shopping, respondents recognized the necessity of information on size, exchange/refund/returned policy, color, design, resolution of the product picture, care of instruction, texture and detail of apparel.

The purpose of this study was to evaluate the thermal resistance of pesticideprotective clothing and to investigate its subjective wear performance. Three different nonwoven fabrics, which provide barrier properties against water and pesticide, were used to manufacture the experimental clothing: spunbonded nonwoven (SB), spunbonded/meltblown/spunbonded nonwoven (SM), and spunlaced nonwoven (SL). The thermal insulation values of the experimental clothing were measured with a thermal manikin, and other wear trials were performed on human subjects in a climate chamber at $28^{\circ}C$, with 70% R.H. and air movement at less than 0.15m/s. Our results found that the thermal resistance was lower in the SB experimental clothing than in the others; that the mean skin temperature of subjects who wore the experimental clothing made with SL was significantly lower than that of subjects who wore the SB and SM clothing; and that the microclimate temperature and humidity with SB were significantly higher than that of the others. Overall, the experimental clothing made with SL was more comfortable than the others in terms of subjective wear sensations.

The purpose of this proper is to set up the sizing system of the lower, which would be a guide for obese women for selecting ready-to-wear of suitable size. This study was carried out on 130 obese women and was done by cluster analysis with two(waist girth and hip girth) or three(abdomen circumference, hip girth and crotch length) variables. The results were as fellows: First, it was found that 3-5 sizes were suitable by cluster analysis with two variable. Second, 3-4 sizes were suitable with three variables. Finally, the number of sizes to product was 5 with two variables as a feasible solution, and 4 with three variables.

This study was done for the purpose of analysing the relationships between the clothing weight and health state on the kindergartners. The data were collected in July. Oct. 1986, and February, April. 1987, 324 kindergartners is Seoul. And those factors assumed in the study to have impacts on the clothing weight were, 1) Anthropometric measurement and BMI, Kaup-Index, % fat. 2) The motor ability 3) The health states assumed by application of cornell medical index and health state, Incidence, medical history. The results obtained were to follows. 1) In November, clothing weight was ghigh correlation between anthropometric measurements, BMI, Kaup-Index, motor ability and cornell-medical index. 2) The health problem scores were significant in total clothing weight, upper wear clothing weight, under wear clothing weight. 3) The relation between clothing weight and weight, BMI, motor ability and cold contration among the health state scores proves to be significant correlation.

The manufacture of children's wear is another part of the giant industry. However, the production of children's wear remains a small factory operation without scientific study. This study is aimed at establishing the normal sizes for slacks pattern making of 6∼8 years old children. The sample were classified into 5 groups of stature. The findings are as follows: 1) In analysis of stature group 110∼115cm to 130∼135cm there were almost significant differences of the mean values of all items. Comparison of physique shows even variation between stature group. 2) The correlation among all the parts of the body is strong in the case of the Stature. 3) The result of regression analysis is as follows. In slacks pattern making Back Waist Height and Slacks Length were exactly determined by Stature. Waist to Knee were exactly determined by Slacks Length.

The purpose of this study was to make new suggestions for the production of high value-added, fashion goods by reviewing and synthesizing the design of dress shirts. (Ed-I've combined paragraphs here) For this study, 1491 photographs on the dress shirts were collected for analysis from men's collection$(2001\sim2006)$. Concerning the actual characteristics of men's fashion design, the following conclusions were obtained from the analysis of the dress shirts of men's collection. (Ed-I've combined paragraphs here) First, feminine ornaments such as frill, pin tuck, and embroidery can be seen in men's dress shirts and men's sexuality has changed into a softer men's image. Second, asymmetry balance using detachability are expressed in the collars, sleeves, and plackets of men's dress shirts. Third, in a very novel suggestion, a combination of two items was designed in a dress shirt and variant shirt forms were created. Fourth, formal style is mainly shown in men's shirts and the traditional classic is increasingly becoming emphasized recently

I observed the important factors of clothing transition - Changes of Korean clothing & reception of Western-style dress - through the survey of the clothing of girl students during the period of enlightenment(1900∼1945) in this study as follows. 1) Stop to use of a long hood an old-fashioned woman shawI(once used to cover th head and upper body when going out). 2) Appearance of same colored Korean costume of the upper and lower sides. 3) Appearance of a short seamless one-piece skirt with a pair of shoulder girdles. 4) Appearance of school uniform, upper white lower black-Korean costume. 5) Appearance of school uniform, Western style. 6) Appearance of sports-wear. 7) Reformation of under-wear. 8) Appearance of short hair. 9) Appearance of socks & stockings and shoes.
