  • As we look into the related technologies at home and abroad, the odor and dust removal technologies did not make us satisfied because its removal method is not appropriate and its economical efficiency was low. If bad odor and dust were generated simultaneously, we should install two removal factories separately, and it made a big problem. Consequently, we investigated to obtain the related basic information for a new hybrid bag filter system which can remove both odor and dust at the same time, using bag filter with ACF (dual filter type).

  • This study was to provide the information for optimum utilization of the air-conditioning system in the human health and energy saving perspective. Subjects were 17 male and female college students(7 males and 10 females) with normal weight. They wore a short sleeved shirt, knee length trousers, socks, and underwear(0.4clo). They were asked to choose the preferred temperature from different environmental temperatures($28^{\circ}C$, $25^{\circ}C$). The physiological responses were measured and the subjective sensation was voted during the step changes of environmental temperature, starting at $28^{\circ}C$ to $25^{\circ}C$ with $1^{\circ}C$ decrease every 20 minutes. The preferred temperature was $25.9{\pm}0.4^{\circ}C$ for males and $26.9{\pm}0.2^{\circ}C$ for females at $28^{\circ}C$ and $24.8{\pm}0.6^{\circ}C$ for males and $25.6{\pm}0.1^{\circ}C$ for females at $25^{\circ}C$. The preferred temperature decreased about $1.3^{\circ}C$ while the environmental temperature changed $3^{\circ}C$. During the environmental step changes, mean skin temperature decreased more in females while the oxygen uptake and rectal temperature were kept constant for both males and females. We found the preferred temperature was affected by the exposed temperature and the thermal sensation in the condition. Subjects preferred a lower environmental temperature when they were exposed to a lower temperature with cooler sensation. Therefore, in the perspective of human health and energy saving, it is recommended to start setting the air-conditioning temperature higher than the preferred temperature.

  • The goal of this study was to improve environmental awareness by systematically developing a hands-on online lesson for adults on making drink bags by upcycling discarded umbrella cloth. The lesson was developed using an ADDIE model. During the analysis stage, the instructional design direction was established based on the findings of previous studies. In the design stage, the operation of practical classes in the online environment was specifically planned. The contents of education and the training time were also determined. The materials developed during the development stage included a kit and theoretical information containing images to raise awareness of environmental pollution and the significance of upcycling, as well as videos and photos. During the implementation stage, two sessions were held three months apart. A total of 36 adults participated, with 18 participants in each session. In the evaluation stage, the first session participants provided feedback on class satisfaction, which led to improvements. Positive feedbacks were received from the second session participants, who expressed satisfaction with the smooth communication and easy approaches to the learning materials. In both instances, the surveys on environmental consciousness and attitudes yielded an overall average score of 4.27, indicating a generally positive evaluation.

  • Industrialization has given humanity many benefits, such as material abundance and conveniences. However, it has also caused detrimental side effects to the environment which are becoming a global problem. During the 1960's, the national economic scale in Korea was expanded and personal lifestyles rapidly improved. These improvements also caused environmental problems such as water contamination. Water contamination caused by old, worn water pipes, harmful materials and deposits from the water purification processes decreased the tap water quality, causing unpleasant odors and tastes. Due to poor maintenance of the reservoir facilities of tap water quality, citizens lost their faith in the water quality. In the long term, it made us worry about the health of our nation's citizens (6,16).

  • As one of the most widely used technology in the world right now, Face recognition has already received widespread attention by all the researcher and institutes. It has been used in many fields such as safety protection, surveillance system, crime control and even in our ordinary life such as home security and so on. This technology with today's technology has advantages such as high connectivity and real time transformation. But we still need to improve its recognition rate, reaction time and also reduce impact of different environmental status to the whole system. So in this paper we proposed a face recognition system model with improved CNN which combining the characteristics of flat network and residual network, integrated learning, simplify network structure and enhance portability and also improve the recognition accuracy. We also used AR and ORL database to do the experiment and result shows higher recognition rate, efficiency and robustness for different image conditions.

  • Background: In Korea, a healthy 36-year-old man developed acute interstitial pneumonitis soon after inhaling a waterproofing spray which he had applied at home to his outdoor jacket. Objectives: The objectives of this study were to review cases of varying degrees of respiratory toxicity and poisoning in connection with the use of waterproofing spray and summarize major reasons for cases of poisoning. Methods: We searched articles reporting on a combination of a waterproofing agent and/or respiratory symptoms, including acute respiratory syndrome, lung injury, pneumonia, pulmonary toxicity, and respiratory disease. Results: We reviewed a number of cases of varying degrees of respiratory toxicity and poisoning resulting from inhalation of waterproofing spray containing fluorocarbon co-polymer, solvents and propellants reported in a variety of countries. The literature searches concluded that among the ingredients of waterproofing agents, fluorinated polymer may cause acute respiratory health effects. Conclusion: Environmental policy should be implemented in order to prevent consumers from using household and industrial products including waterproofing agents. In addition, a national surveillance system should be created to collect cases of poisoning caused by the use of consumer products.

  • Construction project is necessary element for human life to upgrade the quality and convenience. However, due to its contradictory nature to the environment conservation, environmental pollution and damage, deterioration of natural scenery, noise/vibration, water quality pollution, etc. caused in the process of construction greatly affect the environment. The purpose of this study is to propose checklist for environment management can be used in construction phase. For this, we went ahead with the research by studying the existing research related to environment-friendly construction project management both at home and abroad, investigation and analysis of environment-related laws and ordinances, and drawing the checklists for natural environment and living environment at the construction phase. As a result, we were able to compile a checklist for nine items including geological features, animals and plants, use of soil, quality of air, water, and soil, construction wastes, noise, vibration, recreation, and sceneries. The checklist is structured in 4 grades and coded so as to allow it to be developed with the use of computer system in future. We hope that the checklist presented in this study will help lead the managers at the construction phase in construction development sustainable from the perspective of environmental conservation.

  • The home health care industry has grown rapidly and can be expected to continue to grow in the foreseeable future. Home health care refers to the practice of nursing applied to clients with a health condition in the clients place of residence. clients and their designated care givers are the focus at home health nursing practice. The goal of care is to initiate. manage and evaluate the resources needed to promote the clients optimal level of well-being and function. Nursing activities necessary to achieve this goal may warrant preventive maintenance and restorative emphases to prevent potential problems from developing. Many project program were suggested home health care model for Korea's health care system and policy direction for expansion and establishment of home health care .But the aim of this paper is to provide on overview for theoretical frame work in home health care. Theories and conceptual frameworks or models are important nursing because they define and guide the boundaries of professional practice and identify key nurse-patient-caregiver relationships that emerge with caring. Following is the research with an investigation of the literature review in the University of Arizona international medline database, In conclusion, are as followers: First, many nursing theorists have had a tremendous impact on nursing practice. the following highlights those nursing theorists that are particularly helpful in understanding home health care. 1. Florence Nightingale : Our earliest theoretical legacy. Nightingale's believes are reflected in basic infection control practice such as hand washing and infectious waste disposal and are key nursing interventions in home care. 2. Martha Roger's :Science of unitary human beings theory. Rorger's believed that the focus of shared. non invasive healing modelities is the human environmental field rather than direct physical care. These modelities continue to evolve as our awareness (reflecting greater diversity, faster rhythms, motions, and ways of knowing) transcends time and space, allowing individuals to get in touch with their integral nature of unbroken wholeness. On people as ever changing energy fields have special relevance in home care especially with hospice and palliative care applications. 3. Madeline Leininger's; Transcultural nursing theory. Home care nurses move through a variety of communities and often care for patients from different cultural back grounds. Therefore Leininger's work has a good that with home care because home care nursing practice is very culturally focused. 4. Dorothea Orem's : Self care deficit theory. Orem's theory views care as something to be performed by both nurses and patients. The role of the nurse is to provide education and support that help patients acquire the necessary activities to perform self-care. Orem's theory is foundational to have care because it begins to truly acknowledge the role of the patient in managing his or her own health. which is referred to as self-care. 5. Margaret Neuman's; Health as expending consciousness theory. Neuman believes that health compasses disease and reflects an underlying pattern of person-environment interaction. A key application of 'Neuman's work to home care is for nurses to understand that health and illness do not necessarily exist at opposite ends of a continuum. 6. Jean Watson's: Theory of human caring. Watson's theory of human caring in nursing proposes human caring as the moral ideal of nursing. Nurses participate human caring to protect, enhance and preserve humanity by assisting individuals to fing meaning in illness. pain and existence and to help others gain self knowledge. self control. and self healing such thinking lends richness to theory development. as well as clinical practice in home care. Second, Robin Rice : Dynamic self determination for self care. (A theoretical framework for home care) Dynamical self determination for self care can be useful to home care nurses in a variety of ways. As research tool it can be reflected in the interview process when the home visit. The home care nurse's role is that of facilitator of patient self-determination for self care through numerous strategies. including patient education and case management.

  • The main purpose of the study was to clarify the properties of individual particles collected at each behavior space of a factory worker. The samplings of size-segregated ($PM_{2.1-1.1}$ and $PM_{4.7-3.3}$) indoor particles were conducted at three different behavior spaces of a factory worker who is engaged in an auto parts manufacturing plant (i.e., his home, his work place in factory, and his favorite restaurant). Elemental specification (i.e., relative elemental content and distribution in and/or on individual particles) was performed by a micro-PIXE system. Every element detected from the coarse particulate matters of home was classified into three groups, i.e., a group of high net-counts (Na, Al, and Si), a group of intermediate net-counts (Mg, S, Cl, K, and Ca), and a group of minor trace elements (P, Ti, V, Cr, Mn, Fe, Co, Ni, Cu, Zn, and Pb). The results of EF for $PM_{4.7-3.3}$ in home indicated that several heavy metals were generated from the sources within the house itself. An exceptional feature shown in the individual particles in workplace is that Cr, Mn, and Co were clearly detected in both fine and coarse particles. Cluster analysis suggested that the individual coarse particles ($PM_{4.7-3.3}$) collected at the indoor of factory were chemically heterogeneous and they modified with sea-salt, mineral, and artificially derived elements. The principal components in individual coarse particles collected at restaurant were sea-salt and mineral without mixing with harmful trace elements like chromium and manganese. Compared to the indoor fine particles of home and restaurant, many elements, especially, Cl, Na, Cr, Mn, Pb, and Zn showed overwhelmingly high net-counts in those of factory.
