Standardization of the home-networking technologies and the home network trial has been tried to activate the home network services and develop the new business models. Home network mobile service using a cellular phone provides the control and monitoring the states of the information appliances and HA(home automation) devices through a home network gateway interworking with a home server. For this purpose, the home network mobile application in a cellular phone can automatically change the configuration of the information appliances and HA devices interworking with a home server. In this paper, we propose the home appliance auto-configuration scheme using XML for home network mobile services. The proposed scheme is implemented on WIPI of the domestic mobile platform standardization.

This study is approach to the Home-Based Work. More specifically, to examine about the families who try to combined home life and income-generation work under the same roof. Families were looking at Home-Based Work as one solution to the work-family crunch. Many research papers have suggested that Home-Based Work provides an effective way to balance the demands of paid employment and family responsibilities. Therefore, this proposed research reviewed the Home-Based Work as they contributed to individual and family satisfactions. The Prupose of this paper is to address issues related to Home-Based Work from the perspective of theory and application in family resource management, also to suggest a conceptual model for family work activities is advanced. This paper is examined concepts related to Home-Based Work employment that could be used to frame and describe the empirical study are specified. This paper was informed by analyses of data from project NE-167. "At-Home Income Generation: Impact on Management, Productivity, and Stability in Rural/Urban Families". The results from this paper will be helpful in enhancing the stability and satisfaction of families who worked in Home-Based Work.ased Work.

This paper deals with a context-aware application based on Bayesian network in the smart home. Bayesian network is a powerful graphical tool for learning casual dependencies between various context events and obtaining probability distributions. So we can recognize the resident's activities and home environment based on it. However as the sensors become various, learning the structure become difficult. We construct Bayesian network simple and efficient way with mutual information and evaluated the method in the virtual smart home.

Korea is a fast growing aging society. Growing older population causes various social issues and problems in many aspects. Housing issue is one of them and residential modifications for improving safety and independence for older residents are very important factor for Aging in Place. Under those social circumstances, the purpose of this study was to analyze the residential modification demand by the elderly on the application of ubiquitous home services. Respondents were the residents those who were over 55 years old, were living in a singe detached house and were able to use a computer. The major findings of this study were as follows: the results on current situations and demands for residential modifications showed that respondents already made mean of 4.9 home modification items and wanted to make mean of 12.4 items out of 21 residential modification items. The results on demands for the ubiquitous home services was relatively high(mean 3.82). This study can be an important information which is able to improve the quality of life by providing effective residential modifications for older population to help them ultimately safe, convenient, and independent living.

This study was conducted with the budgetary support of the Gyeonggi Provincial Government Department of Education as curriculum preparation (frequently revised since 2007) for the enhancement of teacher professionalism in Clothing, Food, and Housing Life education. This study promotes changes in student learning through the enrichment of Home Economics content and the classroom-learning environment through the reinforcement of teacher professionalism and attitudes towards Clothing, Food, and Housing Life education. This study enhances the comprehension of Home Economics and understanding by educators on the importance of Home Economics. The training program was evaluated through an analysis of the motive of application, level of satisfaction with the program, change in the view of Clothing Life education, and level of expectation and contributions of the program towards the curriculum development of teaching. The trainees were motivated by the opportunity to practice, uniqueness of the curriculum of the training program, and expectations for professional enhancement. The level of satisfaction is very high. Regardless of subjects, trainees recognized the necessity of practical exercise, cultural & artistic approach, and integrated teacher training in Clothing Life education. The teachers of other subjects recognized the importance of Home Economics and the historical background of Clothing, Food, and Housing Life.

Purpose : This study examined the effect of a home visit cognitive training program that uses a tablet-based digital recognition rehabilitation application, Brain Doctor, on local elderly people's cognitive function and depression. Methods : This study featured 20 elderly people living in Busan Metropolitan City, South Korea, who received a voucher for a home visit service to prevent dementia. The subjects were evenly divided into an intervention group provided with Brain Doctor and a control group provided with a conventional cognitive training program. Korean version of Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE-K) and Korean version of Montreal Cognitive Assessment (K-MoCA) were used to assess cognitive function in each group. Patient Health Questionnaire-9 (PHQ-9) was used to evaluate the depression levels. Results : The intervention group showed a significant change in cognitive function and depression after the intervention (p<.05). There was a statistically significant change in cognitive function and depression between the intervention and control groups (p<.05). Conclusion : This study confirmed that Brain Doctor had a positive effect on the cognitive function and depression of elderly people in the local community. It is expected to become a useful home visit program for dementia prevention in the future.

The purpose of this reasearch is to supply the basic data to improve Home Economics curriculum. This research was intended for 190 home economics teachers who are teaching in Kwang-Ju and chun-nam. The results are summarized as follows； 1. Among the objects of Home economics, the most important objects were to make students understand the significance of family life and development of family numbers. It requires 4 or 5 hours a week to learn these objects. 2. The amount of curriculum was immense and the level of curriculum was higher than students’level. More intencifying field are in this order； sex education, propriety education, consumption life, occupation, and computer education. 3. In home economics curriculum, the main stress was laid upon the application of action and learning content was focused on the matter set in the examination. 4. Theory and practical training classes were usually in the ratio of 7：3 and 8：2 in the current school classes. Ideal training classes are in the ration of 4：6, 5：5, 6：4, which showed that much weight was given to the practical exercises. 5. In practing subject matter, students tended to practice only main subject matter. The reason was primarily due to the lacks of equipments and faccilities, the limitation of training time for enterance examination and budgetary deficit. 6. Application of resorces was in the order of files, realia, samples, hanging chart, O.H.P and V.T.R. 7. The method of evaluation was mostly composed of paper and pens and practical evaluation when the practical evaluation was carrient out, in the case of necessity the standard of evaluation was made out.

Using home network system including home server, home service robot, a variety of device, it is generally known that application of Multi Agent System for performing variously distributed process that can be occur in home environment, is efficient method. In this system, it is intelligent service robot that a key of human interface and physical service offer Therefore, using application of established multi agent system, we can defined Multi Agent Robot System. In 'open' home environment, between all agent data interaction and cooperation are needed for Multi Agent System offer to user that more efficient service. For this, we focus our attention on define as agent that can autonomic drive and offer to user that physical service robots and, design, suggest the simulator can display that between robot agents communication or between other agents, like home server, and robot agents communication information to user interface.

LnCP is very optimized protocol for digital home appliances. Then proposed system and implementation of these ideas are presented.

The aim of this research is to study and develop enabling technologies for home healthcare device with ubiquitous network. The motivation of this paper is to enable healthcare in home, to development the device for smart home health care. To achieve the aim, we must develop the prototype platform based on home gateways, distributed context user interface based on UPnP and support for information sharing with high speed power line communication and mobile infra-structures. And IPv6 is the base technology of this platform. In this paper, we concern that physical health, mental health and medical emergencies is all of home healthcare. With the smart device, we evaluate the connectivity, automatic information extraction and private data exchange and event driven message. The result of this paper is demonstration of smart device for ubiquitous communication in a healthcare application such as patient monitoring device and several information services. In conclusion, home healthcare will support more healthy and easy living for a human.
