직접분사식 가솔린 기관에서 흡입유동이 고압 11공 연료분사기의 분무형상에 미치는 영향 (The Effect of the Intake Flow on the Spray Structure of a High Pressure 11-Hole Fuel Injector in a DISI Engine)

  • The effect of the intake flow on the spray structure of a high pressure 11-hole fuel injector were examined in a single cylinder optical direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine. The effects of injection timing and in-cylinder charge motion were investigated using the 2-dimensional Mie scattering technique. It was confirmed that in the homogeneous charge mode, the in-cylinder swirl charge motion played a major role in the fuel spray distribution during the induction stroke rather than the tumble flow. But, in the stratified charge mode, the effect of the in-cylinder charge was not so large that the injected spray pattern was nearly maintained and the increase of in-cylinder pressure by the upward moving piston reduced the fuel spray penetration.

자전거 디스크 브레이크 구멍 형상 변화에 따른 구조적 내구성 해석 (Structural Durability Analysis due to Hole Configuration Variation of Bike Disc Brake)

  • As expansion and contraction of bike disk brake are happened continuously by temperature at repeated urgent braking. In this study, 3 kinds of model are designed according to configurations of holes and thermal durabilities on bike disk brake are investigated by comparing 3 models through temperature and thermal analyses. Maximum thermal stress happened at the disk contacted with pad and the connection part fixing disk rotor. Instead of initial state, the temperature is uniformly distributed at transient state. As the area of hole at disk rotor face becomes wider, thermal stress becomes lower at the initial state. On the other hand, in case the number of holes increases, thermal stress becomes lower at the elapsed time of 100 seconds. The thermal durability of bike disk brake can be improved by applying this study result with configurations of holes.

  • In this study, 3 kinds of holes (square, circular and elliptic holes) are attempted on a cantilever to reduce the weight by 30%. Maximum Von-Mises stresses of cantilever plate with 3 kinds of holes are investigated. For the elliptic holes, a shape optimization is attempted to fad the optimum angle of axis by rotating the axis by $10^{\circ}\; from\; 50^{\circ}\; to\; 120^{\circ}\;$ From the results, it is known that the maximum stress is decreased to 0.868 MPa by rotation of the axis of elliptic hole and 0.26 MPa is decreased compared with the maximum stress occurred on the circular hole.

  • The spray characteristics of a high pressure 6-hole injector were examined in a single cylinder optical direct injection spark ignition (DISI) engine. The effects of injection timing, in-cylinder charge motion, fuel injection pressure and coolant temperature were investigated using the 2-dimensional Mie scattering technique. It was confirmed that the in-cylinder charge motion played a major role in the fuel spray distribution during the induction stroke while the propagation of fuel spray was restrained during the compression stroke by the increasing pressure and the upward moving piston. In additions, it was confirmed that the liquid fuel droplets existing at the sprays edges were vaporized by the increase of the coolant temperature.

  • A study on discharge characteristics of a rotating discharge hole is very important to enhance the performance of an induction motor which have external forced cooling system. The discharge characteristics of rotating discharge holes are influenced by rotating speed, length-to-diameter ratio, inlet shape of rotor holes, etc. An experimental study on the effect of chamfered inlet edge of rotor inlet part with various depth-to-diameter and inlet chamfered edge angle is conducted. Depth-to-diameter ratios range from 0 to 0.5 and inlet chamfered edge angle range from 0 to 60. As a result, there is an optimal design point of inlet chamfered edge depth. And the inlet edge angle far maximum discharge coefficient is influenced mainly by the rotating speed of discharge holes.

초음속 연소에서 연료 분사구 형상에 따른 연소성능 변화에 대한 실험적 연구 (A Study on the Combustion Performance with Variation of Fuel Injection Hole Configuration at Supersonic Combustion)

  • 초음속 연소에서 연료를 분사하는 분사구의 형상에 따른 연소 성능의 변화를 파악하기 위하여 실험과 준일차 해석(Quasi-One Dimensional Analysis)을 수행하였으며, 결과 값을 본 팀에서 동일 설비 및 조건으로 2008년에 시험을 수행한 데이터와 비교해 보았다. 연료 분사구 형상은 2008년 수행하였던 시험모델과 비교하여 연료 분사구의 크기를 줄이고 개수를 증가시켰으며, 연료 분사구의 크기 및 개수는 동일한 연료 압력에서 연료의 분사량과 침투깊이가 동일하도록 결정되었다. 실험결과 공동이 없을 시에는 연료 분사구의 크기를 줄이고 개수를 늘렸을 때 연소성능이 큰 폭으로 증가하였지만, 일자형 공동에서는 그 영향이 미미하였다. 하지만 지그재그형 공동에서는 연료 분사구의 크기를 줄이고 개수를 늘렸을 때 오히려 연소성능이 저하되었다.

오리피스 형상에 따른 단공 노즐의 내부 가시화와 분무 특성 (The Effects of the Orifice Shapes on the Internal Visualization and The Spray Characteristics of the Single Hole Nozzle)

  • The objective of this investigation was to obtain an excellent spray at the low injection pressure. When cavitation occurred in the nozzle hole the atomization of the liquid jet enhanced considerably. In this experiments, a acrylic nozzle which was installed the gap and installed the bypass in the nozzle hole was used to enhance the atomization of the liquid jet at the few injection pressure. The liquid flow in the nozzle hole was photographed by a transmitted light using a micro flash. The spray angle was measured by macroscope images of PMAS and the Sauter mean diameter was measured by PDA system. The pressure of the notate hole was measured by pressure transducer. It was found that enhanced atomization of the liquid jet at the low injection pressure was obtained by installing the gap and the bypass at the single hole nozzle.

PSP를 이용한 15° 반와류 홀과 30-7-7 팬형상 홀의 막냉각 효율 비교 연구 (Comparative Study on the Film Cooling Effectiveness of 15° Angled Anti-Vortex Hole and 30-7-7 Fan-Shaped Hole Using PSP Technique)

  • The various film cooling hole shapes have been proposed for effective external cooling of gas turbine blade. In this study, the film cooling effectiveness by three different hole shapes (cylindrical hole, $15^{\circ}$ angle anti-vortex hole, 30-7-7 fan-shaped hole) were examined experimentally. Pressure Sensitive Paint (PSP) technique was used to measure the film cooling effectiveness. The coolant to mainstream density ratio was 1.0 and three blowing ratios of 0.5, 1.0, and 2.0 were considered. Results clearly showed that the effect of hole shape on the distribution of film cooling effectiveness. For the cylindrical hole case, the film cooling effectiveness decreased remarkably as the blowing ratio increased due to the jet lift off. Because of large hole exit area and low coolant momentum, the 30-7-7 fan-shaped hole case showed the highest film cooling effectiveness at all blowing ratio, followed by the anti-vortex hole case.

잭업리그 스퍼드캔의 물 분사용 홀 형상 최적화 (Shape Optimization of a Hole for Water Jetting in a Spudcan for a Jack-up Rig)

  • 스퍼드캔(spudcan)은 잭업리그(jack-up rig)의 다리 하단에 장착되며, 해저면에 구조물을 안정적으로 지지하여 구조물의 전복사고를 방지하기 위한 장치이다. 표층이 모래 층일 때는 침투(penetration) 시에 스퍼드캔을 안정적으로 삽입하기 위해서, 그리고 점토 층일 때는 회수(extraction) 시에 원활하게 뽑아 올리기 위해서 스퍼드캔에는 물 분사장치가 장착되어 있다. 본 연구에서는 물 분사장치를 위한 배관라인용 홀의 형상을 최적화하기 위해 크게 타원형과 원형 두 가지 형상을 설정하였다. 해석을 위해 대상 Site 는 멕시코만(Gulf of Mexico)로 선정하였고 대상 플랫폼은 해상풍력발전기설치선(WTIV)을 선택하였다. 상용프로그램인 ANSYS Workbench 를 사용하여 최적설계를 진행하였다. 본 연구결과는 다양한 해양구조물의 홀 형상설계에 적용될 수 있다.

스텔스 형상 공력특성에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Aerodynamic Characteristics of a Stealth Configuration)

  • 국방과학연구소 풍동실험실에서는 스텔스 형상 무인전투기개발에 필요한 공력특성 측정과 관련시험기법의 확립을 위한 실험적 연구를 수행하였다. 본 연구에서는 스텔스 특성을 가진 형상의 공기역학적 특성의 추출과 5-hole probe를 이용한 유동장 특성의 측정을 목적으로 하였으며, 시험결과들의 분석과 앞전 형상의 변경에 따른 공력특성의 변화도 함께 고찰하였다.
