  • The costume in musical is an important visual factor that contributes to the level of stage completion by for the character and overall atmosphere of the whole play. Besides, as if it is has a fixed times in the drama, it has to produce to consider an opinion of producer to express the theme, atmosphere of a play and especially in the period adventure drama, to revive as it is historical dress, there is not creation at stage of today. This research is studied into the stage costume of the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde' an adapted to express image of good and evil in the one character. For this research, it researched costume of Victoria period in England, study character of main actor by analysis of the play in an original work, examine the stage costume of the musical 'Jekyll and Hyde' performed in the inside and outside of the country. In the musical stage costume, by character difficult of stage costume, factor of design feature divided to good and evil and compare feature design of stage costume, research new design express method to consider musical acting, moreover through designing and producing the costume to be suitable for the content of the work. This research consists of research and actual production of work, study of documentary records, collection and analysis of overseas performances, news releases, video material and internet research were the methods of this study.

사극드라마의 여자캐릭터의 분장특성 연구 (A Study on Fusionization of Woman Characters in Fusion Traditional Drama)

  • Expression of woman characters in fusion traditional dramas plays a role of making the progress of dramas not bigoted and new. Especially, woman characters have a high weight as a heroine by an increase in their image in fusion traditional dramas. Expression of characters harmonizing modern with tradition has also given a help in reflecting a trend of the present times. Hair style and face makeup of woman characters in fusion traditional dramas are in the process of fusionization getting an effect from postmodernism. They are expressing the hair style of symbolization modern elements of hair style to traditional hair styles. They also expressed a neutral image with faded hair styles in the shaggy cut style and dye of neoplaticism. Neo-hippie style was changed into the style of naturalism and nationalism and the hair style braided in various branches as the one of Indians was changed into a primitive and national feature. It is producing a new style by permitting even a long-hair permanent wave hair style. Expression of straight hair style, a long-hair shaggy & bulging wave style and a hair style of neoplaticism, was distinguished. In the side of face makeup, they expressed its luxurious and splendid style by attaching great importance to its luster and are exposing images of characters by a smoky makeup emphasizing eye lines. Their face makeup was almost never separated from present dramas as using pearl shadow in a glossy lips makeup and color, which made it possible to express it more dramatically in fusion traditional dramas than in present dramas. In the event of the makeup element of fusion traditional dramas permitting diversity, the character makeup of fusion traditional dramas made a foundation to show people diverse elements of makeup by mix & match a present elements and past elements of historical research, which made it possible to express a unique makeup or a special makeup. Diverse makeup expressions were limited by reflection of illumination even in the existing videos. Therefore, 'Fusion' made it possible to express it more freely in fusion traditional dramas than in present dramas.

  • 본 연구는 인쇄된 텍스트를 수행자 텍스트로 변환하고, 그것을 바탕으로 하나의 예술적 구성물을 구축하는 연출가의 모든 행위 중에서 '드라마투르그'적 수행에 주목한다. 대상은 도스토옙스키의 장편소설 <죄와벌>을 원텍스트로 무대화 된 4편의 연극이다. 이는 7년간의 장기 프로젝트의 결과로, 한 극단에서 창작되었다는 특징이 있다. 본 연구는 이 프로젝트를 중심에서 이끌었던 연출가에 의해 집필된 것이다. 연출가는 러시아 실험연극의 행보를 이끈 메이에르홀드의 1926년 <검찰관> 공연을 그 이론적 토대로 삼아, 창작에 있어 그의 세 가지 기본 명제를 도출했다. 1. 연출가는 '연극의 작가(автор спектакля)'이다 2. '새로운 연극(новый театр)'은 '문학으로부터(из литературы)' 창조된다. 3. 연극이란 한 편의 희곡이 아니라 '작가의 모든 것(всего автора)' 을 무대화 하는 것이다. 7년간의 프로젝트의 중심에 선 '연출가'가 메이에르홀드의 이 세 가지 명제를 중심으로 창작의 이론적 근거를 마련한 것이다. 본 연구의 목적은 첫째, 메이에르홀드의 연극 <검찰관>을 중심으로 세 가지 명제가 도출된 과정을 추이한다. 둘째, 메이에르홀드의 연출방법론적 명제들을 소설텍스트의 희곡화 과정에 어떻게 적용시키며 '실천'했는가에 대한 기록이다.

  • 본 논문은 일제식민지 시기에 출발한 초창기 한국영화비평에 관한 연구로, 조선영화비평의 전개와 양상과 의미 그리고 한국근대영화비평사의 한 축으로서의 영화운동론을 고찰하고 있다. 조선영화의 출발점이 라고 할 수 있는 '연쇄극(kino-drama)' 시대에는 문명의 유입과 근대의식의 흐름에 젖어 역시 계몽주의적 영화관이 팽배하였고, 그 이후 무성영화의 시대로 접어들면서 영화본질 자체에 대한 관심증대로 영화라는 형식과 예술성 추구로서의 비평적 기조가 형성되면서 리얼리티와 재현의 문제 등 비평의 기준과 논쟁점이 다양하게 제기되면서 비평이 변모, 발전되었다. 또한 1920년대 중반부터 30년대 중반까지 지속된 프롤레타리아 영화운동론, 일명 카프(KAPF)영화운동은 당시 영화이론과 평론계를 주도하면서 조선영화계 전반에 큰 영향을 주어 선구자적인 모습을 보였다. 이들이 주장한 영화관은 볼셰비키적 대중화론과 변증법적 유물사관에 의한 계급적 영화로, 이들이 보여준 비평은 외국영화에 대한 정보와 이론소개, 영화조직과 강령 그리고 상영과 실천에 대한 여러 가지 방안제시 등 일정한 기여와 평가를 받을 만하다고 하겠다.

근대계몽기 한국연극사의 전통담론 연구 II (A Study on Tradition Discourse in Korean Modern Drama between 1894 and 1910)

  • 근대계몽기 한국연극사의 전통담론은 대개 전통(연희)에 대한 내용개량의 성격이 강했다. 근대 진입기이면서 국권상실기였기 때문에 개량의 방향은 애국과 개화의 문제에 초점이 맞춰졌다. 논의의 주체는 유교적 지식인, 애국계몽론자, 그리고 식민주의에 침윤된 개화지식인으로 나눌 수 있고, 이들은 각각 상풍패속론, 극계개량론, 신연극론을 주창했다. 을사조약 체결 이듬해인 1906년, 유교적 예악론자들은 협률사의 전통연희가 민심을 어지럽힌다고 비판하면서 상풍패속론을 전개했다. 이 상풍패속론은 국권 수호를 위한 절박한 문제의식을 지닌 지식인들이 유교적 예악론을 근거로 하여 연희 일반에 대한 부정론을 편 것이다. 외래극장문화와 공연문화에 대한 한국의 전통적 의식의 충돌을 보여준 이 상풍패속론은 극장문화의 시대적 의미와 역할에 대한 사유를 보여주는 첫 예로 주목할 수 있다. 1907년 정미7조약 체결 이후 애국계몽론자들은 중국 량치차오 논의를 수용 재해석하면서 '국권 수립을 실현할 민족영웅'을 소재로 한 전통연희 개량 극의 출현을 앙망하며 '극계개량'을 외쳤다. 그리고 1908년 이인직은 판소리 전통과 밀접한 연관이 있는 <은세계>를 원각사에서 공연하면서 '신연극'이라는 용어를 사용하기 시작했고, 관리의 탐학과 우매한 백성들을 비판하며 개혁에 초점을 맞추는 논의를 전개했다. 이렇게 1908년을 전후해 일본 신연극과의 연관 속에서 사용되기 시작한 신연극에 대한 논의는 곧 '연극개량' 논의와 구별 없이 사용되었고, '극계개량'이라는 용어를 대체해갔다.

  • The purpose of this research is to contemplate chronological changes of Korean actress facial image and fashion from 1960s to 1990s and to identify Korean women's ideal beauty reflected through the times. Adjectives describing representative actresses of each studied decade were collected from major newspapers and magazines. Korean women's ideal beauty was divided into 4 sub-types such as youthful, pure, sophisticate, and sexy images. As a result of analyzing actress facial image and fashion, youthful and pure beauties were found consistently over the studied periods. Representative characteristics of sophisticate and sexy beauties have been changed over the studied periods which were influenced by socio-cultural environment factors. The result of this research can provide meaningful sources for historical drama, celebrity marketing strategy planning, and personal image consulting.

  • Tatan is a symbol of kinship and belonging in Scotland and a badge of identity recognized all over the world. Alongside the powerful historical and national resonance to Tartan for Scots it has been borrowed repeatedly by fashion. The pattern compositionof Tartan check is formed as a typical cross stripes that vertical line and hrizontal line meets rectangulary. And its color is much various and rich than other check pattern. So its magnificient spec-tacle that various all kinds of colors is dyed in cloth is second to name. Today we are as likely to meet tartan in a couturier dress as in a kilt or plaid. Tartan is distinctive in colour style and de-sign. It conveys personality ceremony and drama. All these aspects of its character have contributed to tartan being one of the best-known and best-loved fabrics in the world. In other parts of Europe traditional checked patterns declined and disappeared but in Scotland tartan survived strongly jist as the bagpipes also European flourished Due to geographical and cultural circumstances Scots were able to develop and enhance tartan and its remarkable individuality ensured its sur-vival in spite of adverse political and economic pressures. Tartan has been adopted as the national dress of all Scots. Lowland and High-land providing a powerful form of national cultural and personal identity. Whether tra-ditional or a recent creation whether tra-ditional or a recent creation whether a symbol of nationality or a substitute for nationhood tartan is no mean achievement.

미국동부 카운티 내 지역교회에 관한 건축적 특성에 연구 (A Study on Architectural Characteristics of Community Church in County, VA in U. S. A.)

  • The purpose of this study is to understand a architectural characteristics of local church in Virginia, U. S. This study focuses on not only analyzing the worship and service program inherent in the site planning of local church but also introducing worship service space and chancel elements of it in the village of garden area. We surveyed five protestant churches where are located in suburban and rural area outside of Midlothian city in the early August, 2010. I surveyed church building site and worship service space of churches focused on platform design, interviewed the historical background and program of churches with ministers, and corrected annual calender and newsletter. The results of this study are as follows. First, the characteristics of site plan have a comfortable parking lots and site of churchyard(cemetery) with playground that can take an activities out of chapel. The axis of church building follows to front street. Second, worship services keep two types of traditional and comtemporary worship in order to consider of both adult and youth members. The worship hall has a balance of bilateral symmetry. Third, the form of platform is built that is able to perform a music drama and movement of sermon without only one church, GraceLand Church that church building has over fifty years, and they stick to simple traditional type of Chancel that is established by pulpit, table(altar), baptistery(only baptist church), music instruments, and so on.

Consumer Affinity for Foreign Countries, Film Attendance, and Interest in Purchasing Products from Foreign Countries: An Exploratory Study of Korea and Ireland

  • A number of studies in recent years of have begun to look at the connection between country affinity (an interest in and admiration of a particular country) and a desire to buy the products and services of that country. Country affinity has been shown to be particularly important when consumers lack other sources of information about a good or service. However, except for direct questioning, methods to identify the affinity consumers might have for another country are lacking. This study examines the degree to which attending a movie set in a particular country will be related to an affinity for that country and possibly by extension the goods and services of that country. It is not the goal of this study to suggest that movies create the affinity, but rather that that the affinity will exist for viewers of the films. Two films set in Ireland and featuring Irish actors where shown to audiences composed of Korean students and a small number of Korean adults. As a point of comparison, students in two introductory consumer classes were also asked to complete a similar questionnaire. Four affinity factors were identified from a list of 17 items. Those who attended the historical drama showed a greater affinity for Ireland than those who attended the romantic musical. Affinity for Ireland among Koreans was also meaningful in predicting interest in purchasing Irish products.

시민연극과 커뮤니티: 주체-객체 패러다임의 변화에 대한 소고 (Applied Theatre and Community: Reflections on the Subject and Object Paradigm Shift)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 국내에도 이미 소개된 바 있는 '시민연극(applied theatre)'의 개념과 배경을 정리하고 그 특성을 논의하는 데 있다. 이를 위해 시민연극이 지닌 특성의 배경, 우산용어로서의 형성 과정을 정리하였다. 여전히 생소한 용어와 개념이 지닌 모호함과 혼란의 본질인 커뮤니티와 만나는 연극행위의 주체를 인식하는 패러다임의 변화를 고찰하고, 그러한 맥락에서 시민연극과 '커뮤니티 연극', 그리고 '커뮤니티 기반 연극' 개념을 비교하고 논의하였다. 이를 통해 '시민연극' 개념과 특성에 대한 가장 본질적 이해는 연극의 양식이나 유형적 관점이 아닌, 참여자와 커뮤니티를 주체로서 인식하는 시대와 사회의 패러다임 변화를 인지하는 것에서 비롯됨을 확인하게 되었다.
