This study examined in detail the Japanese system of redressing consumers' losses and the overall consumer administrative system and compared them with the Korean counterpart to seek for a direction of reforming the systems. Several policy suggestions could be made as follows to activate the systems and improve the performances of the consumer administration in both Japan and Korea. First, in Japan, consumer center must be efficiently operated while private consumer groups, firms, consumer agencies and other organizations must actively join to actively redress consumers' losses and implement other consumer policies. Second, in Korea, regional consumer policies are weak so that they must learn Japanese well-developed regional consumer administration system by examining their current development, strengths, and weaknesses. Third, working conditions must be urgently improved, increasing the number of consumer counselors who are involved in consumer policies as well as to guarantee minimum level of their payment. On the other hand, the trend of hiring married and old employees being responsible for implementing consumer policies in Japan must be improved. Fourth, divisions of works in consumer policies among consumer groups as well as their specialization in Korea are necessary. Finally, as counseling of consumers through internet were not available in Japan, that type of counseling must introduce and become more popular in the future.

The V2X cooperative communication system is fusion technology which makes vehicle manuver safer. To evaluate and anticipate effect of these kind of technology, it requires real-car based road construction, implementation of communication devices, hiring inspection specialized personnel. For this reason, many laboratories and universities experience difficulties to test their technology results. Also, the need of implementing reliable testbed for testing vehicle safety applications and V2X communication technology is increasing as V2X device development is being accelerated. In this paper, we implemented a system which synchronizes traffic and network simulators via developing External interface to set simulation based testing environment in order to solve the difficulties.

In this study, the influence of sub-factors of Big Five personality (extraversion, agreeableness, conscientiousness, neuroticism, openness to experience) to job satisfaction and turnover intention, and mediating effect of job satisfaction between Big Five personality and turnover intention were empirically analysed. Also the relationship between job satisfaction and turnover intention was investigated. The sample of this study were customer-contact employees of restaurant among Youngnam province. 243 questionnaires were used for the empirical analyses. According to the empirical analysis results, openness to experience and conscientiousness respectively had positive influences to job satisfaction and turnover intention. Also neuroticism gave negative influence to turnover intention. Another research finding of this study was that mediating effect of job satisfaction existed in the causal relationship of 'openness to experience' and conscientiousness to turnover intention. Managerial implications of the research findings are that restaurant managers are recommended to select employees of having much of conscientiousness and 'openness to experience', and to employ those of having much of agreeableness. In the field of restaurant industry, training is very important for employees to foster these personalities, because this industry does not have environment of hiring employees of having much of these personalities. Also training can be applied to employees of having high neuroticism for minimizing their turnover intention.

The purpose of this study is to identify the effects of emergency medical technicians' personal traits and job characteristics on job/social stress, job satisfaction, role conflicts, organizational commitment, and self-efficacy. The study population was emergency medical technicians who is working at the hospitals in Yeungnam province. The 200 questionnaires were administered by using ground mail, e-mail, and personal visits and 156 questionnaires were returned(82.5% response rate). Social stress, job satisfaction and role conflicts were significantly determined by personal traits and job characteristic variables. However, job stress, organizational commitment and self-efficacy was only significantly determined by job characteristic variables. In social stress and role conflicts, the subjects with challenge, sociability, acceptance and prudence traits were tend to be significantly higher scores compared to the stability traits. Additionally, among social stress regression models, adding job characteristics to the personal traits model, $R^2$ was increased up to 19% and adding personal traits to the job characteristics model, $R^2$ was increased up to 14%. In conclusion, the study found that personal traits and job characteristics are important variables in explaining social stress, job satisfaction and role conflicts, that would have important managerial implications for recruiting, hiring and managing either new or current emergency medical technicians efficiently.

Purpose - Many studies have shown the effects of the external images of female flight attendants on the customers' satisfaction. Recently, the perception of male flight attendants has become more important and positive, and airlines are hiring a significant number of male flight attendants every year. Due to the lack of research on the male flight attendant, however, the images of male flight attendants were investigated for this study. Research, design, data and methodology - Using survey techniques with 204 respondents, this study used analytical data based their resulting analysis. Results - The study examined whether the image of the male flight attendant affects the cognitive and emotional perceptions of customers. The focus of the present study is the external image of the male flight attendant, and the following image-component divisions were formed: hairstyle, body type, uniform, speech, and facial expression. Conclusions - The study purpose sought to determine whether the image of the male flight attendant exert effects on the emotional and cognitive images of airlines, and if these images have a positive effect on the customers' satisfaction and loyalty for an airline, so that airlines can use the external image of the male flight attendant to help with its own image reinforcement.

Most studies examining the sub-categories of agro-industry used to access an inter-industry analysis. However, These are some limitations that researchers set sub-categories differently according to their needs. Thus, This study aims to empirically explore the agro-industry sub-categories by area of academic research on agricultural science. The National Standard Science and Technology Classification(NSSTC) codes were used to classify academic research on agricultural science. This codes were examined the sub-categories using Korean input-output statistics industry and product classification by hiring 220 departments of 37 agricultural colleges. Results showed that studies using an inter-industry analysis coincided in terms of agricultural production, but showed differences in forward and backward linkage industries and services. Forward linkages industry were clearly limited to industries in which agricultural products are inputted as raw materials. Then, in terms of services related to agriculture, Previous studies represent fields such as transport and real estate, which are not included. Moreover, Research institutions overlooked by previous studies occupy an important position.

Since the economic crisis in 1997, the Korean government has implemented a number of reforms in order to eliminate inefficiencies in both private and public sectors. One of the reforms made in the public sector was to lower the retirement age of teachers from the original age of 65 to that age 62. The ultimate aim of this compulsory policy was to improve the quality level of education by hiring many young teachers instead of senior teachers. It was made based on the calculation that by lowering the retirement age by three years, the government can hire three young teachers with the saved wages. However, this policy has brought an unexpected result; the imbalance between the supply and demand for teachers has become a much more serious problem in Korea's elementary education system The purpose of this study is largely twofold; First of all, it aims to identify the scope of imbalances occurred in the supply-demand system of elementary school teachers in a region of the nation, and also to find out why such imbalance occurred. Secondly, the purpose of this study is to experiment with feasible policy alternatives and their effects on the system and to suggest some resolutions on the imbalance.

The purposes of this study are to understand the current status of using and adoption of social network services for public libraries in Korea and to propose how to activate social network services for the libraries in the future. For this study, the usage of the social network services by 166 public libraries was investigated. In addition, surveys to 40 library representatives from the libraries were conducted and 198 public library users answered users' survey questionnaires. As methods to activate social network services in pubic libraries, providing education and training for librarians, hiring librarians for the service, and monitoring and educating the library users for participating with diversifying promotion channels for the service were suggested.

The aim of this study is to discuss some of the prominent ideas which use drone for police works. Focusing on the extent of the utility and practicability of using drone in policing, this paper attempts to address both positive and negative aspects in conjunction with related statutes and regulations. This study uses a qualitative case study approach and offers three practical implications including: (1) enacting a law that covers using drones in policing, (2) hiring technical professionals or training police officers to prevent illegal drones and to implement a variety of policing strategies, and (3) collecting data and information on crime and criminals and then developing the best way to respond to these problems.

This paper proposes a packet header collector, based on a network processor with multi-processor and multi-threads, that shows a high throughput on gigabit network. The proposed collector has an architecture to separate packets coming from gigabit network into headers and payloads, and distribute them to multiple 100Mbit MAC ports. The architecture hiring a unique buffer management method and load distribution strategy among multiple processors is evaluated empirically in depth.
