평면곡선과 종단곡선이 겹친 복합선형 구간에서 교통사고 특성분석 (Analysis of Traffic Accident Characteristics for the Overlap Section of Horizontal and Vertical Alignment)

  • 본 연구는 평면선형과 종단선형이 겹친 복합선형 구간에서 복합선형요소와 교통사고와의 특성을 파악하기 위한 목적으로 진행되었다. 이를 위해 설계속도 및 제한속도가 100km/h인 4차로 고속도로 중 평면곡선부를 대상으로 연구를 진행하였다. 기하구조자료는 한국도로공사 "지리도형정보시스템" 자료를 이용하였고 교통사고자료는 "고속도로 교통사고 통계' 자료를 활용하였다. 분석결과, 종단곡선이 없는 경우가 종단곡선이 있는 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났으며, 종단곡선이 1개인 경우가 종단곡선이 2개 이상인 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났다. 종단곡선이 1개인 경우, 오목종단곡선(SAG) 구간이 볼록종단곡선(CREST) 구간보다 사고율이 높게 나타났으며, 평면곡선부 이전 선형이 직선부인 경우가 곡선부인 경우보다 사고율이 높게 나타났다. 특히 노면상태가 습기(강우)일 때에는 평면곡선내 오목종단곡선인 경우이거나 평면곡선방향이 좌향구간의 경우 교통사고와 관련성이 높음을 확인하였다. 본 연구에서는 도로의 안전성을 높이기 위해 3차원적인 복합선형 조건을 고려한 도로 선형 설계의 중요성을 제시하였다는 점에서 의미가 있을 것이다.

응급통신관리자 양성을 위한 교재개발 방안연구 (A Study on Textbook for Training of the Emergency Medical Dispatchers in Korea)

  • The purposes of this study which was conducted by inquiring into some curricula for Emergency Medical Dispatchers(EMDs) are to introduce a curriculum into Korea and develop a textbook for training of the EMDs in Korea. The conclusions from this study were summarized as follows; (1) There are some professional demands in our Emergency Medical Dispatch field therefore, now it is necessary to set up an education system for the EMDs in Korea and give them a suitable name to this change. (2) Some historical turning points which are condensed from the developmental process in the USA. including "Medical Self Help" with no formal dispatch protocols, Medical Priority Dispatch System, Practice Standard, Dispatch Protocols will serve as a good reference for establishing and education system for the EMDs. (3) To effectively train the EMDs in Korea, we needed to be introduced to Emergency Medical Dispatch : National Standard of Curriculum from the U.S. Department of Transportation & the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration which is made up Basic Emergency Medical Concepts, Information Gatherin & Dispatch, Introduction to the Emergency Medical Dispatch Protocol Reference System(EMDPRS) & 32 Chief Complaint Types. (4) The introduced curriculum closely related to the medical director, the direct indirect medical control, the scope of practice in the USA, should be revised for the Emergency Medical Service System of Korea. But to reduce the developmental process & time, it is necessary to postpone the consideration on these factors until publishing a new textbook. (5) This study which gives the cornerstone about some developmental methods on textbook for EMDs will be helpful to build up an education system for EMDs such as Curriculum, EMD Certification, National Academy of Emergency Medical Dispatch to fit the Emergency Medical Service System of Korea in the future.

  • 교통체계의 발달은 지리공간 위에서 시간거리와 비용거리를 단축시켜 시공간과 비용공간의 상대적 수렴을 가져온다. 고속도로와 고속철 둥 사회간접자본시설은 지역발전에 절대적인 파급효과를 미친다. 목포는 서해안고속도로와 호남고속철도의 영향권 내 지역으로서, 여름휴가철(성수기) 외지의 관광객은 목포와 같은 항구도시를 찾지만, 연안여객선의 수용능력이 관광객(도착차량)의 수를 포용하지 못하므로 balking현상이 발생한다. 이 연구에서는 ARENA의 개념과 속성을 이해하고 목포항 연안여객선 운영현황 시뮬레이션을 통하여 balking의 진상을 면밀히 분석, 연안도로의 정체현상 해결을 위한 효율적인 여객선 운영방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이 논문은 고속도로와 고속철의 영향권 테에 있는 항구도시의 경제부흥에 일조 할 수 있다는 정성적 효과를 제시하는데 의의가 있다.

하이패스플러스카드 시스템을 위한 PSAM 시험 모듈 개발 (Developing the Test Module of PSAM for $Hipass^{PLUS}$ Card System)

  • 한국도로공사는 기존 선불형 플라스틱하드에 문제가 많아서 이를 해결하기 위해서 하이패스플러스 카드인 스마트카드를 이용한 선불형 전자지불카드 시스템을 구현했다. 이 시스템에는 선불형 전자지불카드인 하이패스플러스카드로부터 가치를 지불 받을 수 있는 스마트카드인 PSAM이 필요하다. 그리고, PSAM은 PSAM에 저장된 거래내역을 정산하기 위해서 CSAM에 전달하여야 한다. 따라서, PSAM의 기능 및 보안이 완벽해야 한국도로공사의 전자지불시스템이 안전하다. 본 논문은 일반 가맹점, 하이패스, 또는 표준 SAM 기능에 의해서 하이패스플러스카드의 가치가 PSAM으로 지불되거나 PSAM에 저장된 거래내역을 CSAM에 전달하는 기능 및 보안성을 시험하기 위해서 시험 방법, 시험 표준항목, 그리고 시험 절차 등을 포함한 시험 모듈을 개발했다. 시험 모듈은 시험 검사표에 의한 시험 표준항목을 시험할 수 있는 방법 및 절차를 따라서 개발했다. PSAM의 시험 표준항목 및 시험 검사표는 한국도로공사 규격서에 준하여 ISO 표준에 적합한 시험 항목으로 선정했다 시험은 한국도로공사에서 사용되는 PSAM을 이용하여 실행하였다. 본 시험 모듈은 PShM의 기능뿐 아니라 보안성 및 적합성을 시험하였다. 시험 결과에 의하면, 한국도로공사에서 사용하는 PSAM은 기능 및 보안성이 시험인증 기준을 통과하였다.

가상주행 시뮬레이터를 활용한 시선유도시설 효과평가 연구 (Evaluation of Effectiveness on Delineation System Using Virtual Driving Simulator)

  • PURPOSES : Traffic safety facilities are used to prevent traffic accidents before they occur by providing drivers with information on traffic situations and the geometric design of roads. However, some facilities not defined in guidelines do not meet installation criteria, yet are being installed and used in order to increase efficiency in traffic flow and prevent traffic accidents in a specific expressway zone. In this study, we have evaluated the effect of delineation system which are not defined in the guideline criteria. METHODS : Different virtual scenarios were created for roads using expressway median barrier chevron signs, with a driving simulator used to evaluate the installation and operational effect of such signs. Ten experiments were performed with left- and right-curved roads at curve radius intervals of 500 m, from 500 m to 2,500 m. RESULTS : For sections with a curve radius of more than 1,500 m, drivers had a clear tendency toward stable driving regardless of delineation system. When a chevron sign is installed on a protection fence in the road curving left, an expanded installation is recommended up to the section with a curve radius of 1,000 m. According to the analysis results for the RHB (Relative High Beta spectrum), driving concentration also improved up to a curve radius of 1,000 m. CONCLUSIONS :The experiment result indicates the extent of biasing within a lane and the manipulation amount of steering handle, were analyzed and found to be affected by curve radius and road alignment regardless of delineation system.

DTCF: A Distributed Trust Computing Framework for Vehicular Ad hoc Networks

  • The concept of trust in vehicular ad hoc networks (VANETs) is usually utilized to assess the trustworthiness of the received data as well as that of the sending entities. The quality of safety applications in VANETs largely depends on the trustworthiness of exchanged data. In this paper, we propose a self-organized distributed trust computing framework (DTCF) for VANETs to compute the trustworthiness of each vehicle, in order to filter out malicious nodes and recognize fully trusted nodes. The proposed framework is solely based on the investigation of the direct experience among vehicles without using any recommendation system. A tier-based dissemination technique for data messages is used to filter out non authentic messages and corresponding events before even going farther away from the source of the event. Extensive simulations are conducted using Omnet++/Sumo in order to investigate the efficiency of our framework and the consistency of the computed trust metrics in both urban and highway environments. Despite the high dynamics in such networks, our proposed DTCF is capable of detecting more than 85% of fully trusted vehicles, and filtering out virtually all malicious entities. The resulting average delay to detect malicious vehicles and fraudulent data is showed to be less than 1 second, and the computed trust metrics are shown to be highly consistent throughout the network.

  • Prestressed concrete girder(PSC girder) bridges have been used widely at the railway as well as highway because they are great in the functional and economical efficiency. Also they have the advantage of convenience of design and construction. However it could be easily verified that the section of PSC girder is excessive design, which has much redundancy against design loads. Thus, in this paper the formulation of the optimum design for PSC girder railway bridge is suggested and dominant design variables and constraints are inquired as performing the optimum design. In order to effective optimum design, design variables are formulated as PSC girder sectional dimension and girder space. The objective is adopted as total cost of PSC girder railway bridge. Also, constraints are formulated according to Korean railway design specification and considering construction-ability such as PS anchorage and girder space. Using the proposed optimum design system, optimum PSC girder railway bridge design has been performed. And from the results of analysis it is suggested to denote the optimum section which satisfies the structural safety and economical efficiency all together.

신호교차로의 차로 배정과 신호시간 최적화 모형에 관한 연구 (A Study on Optimization of Lane-Use and Traffic Signal Timing at a Signalized Intersection)

  • PURPOSES : The purpose of this study is to present a linear programing optimization model for the design of lane-based lane-uses and signal timings for an isolated intersection. METHODS: For the optimization model, a set of constraints for lane-uses and signal settings are identified to ensure feasibility and safety of traffic flow. Three types of objective functions are introduced for optimizing lane-uses and signal operation, including 1) flow ratio minimization of a dual-ring signal control system, 2) cycle length minimization, and 3) capacity maximization. RESULTS : The three types of model were evaluated in terms of minimizing delay time. From the experimental results, the flow ratio minimization model proved to be more effective in reducing delay time than cycle length minimization and capacity maximization models and provided reasonable cycle lengths located between those of other two models. CONCLUSIONS : It was concluded that the flow ratio minimization objective function is the proper one to implement for lane-uses and signal settings optimization to reduce delay time for signalized intersections.

수치해석을 통한 자동차 전면유리 제상성능 제어인자 연구 (Numerical Study on Control Factors of Defrosting Performance for Automobile Windshield Glass in Winter)

  • Recently, much attention has been paid in the field of defrosting because clear windshield in vehicle without effecting the thermal comfort is realized essentially. Then in winter, defrosting performance is one of the important factors in vehicle design to make certain driver's view. In this study, the velocity profile, temperature distribution and frost melting pattern on the windshield screen have been predicted in three dimensional geometry of an automobile interior. Numerical analyses predict a detailed description of fluid flow and temperature patterns on the inside windshield screen, utilizing the flow through defroster nozzle. Numerical prediction established a good defrosting performance with the standard distance ratio and the defroster nozzle angle ranging from $30^{\circ}$ to $40^{\circ}$, which satisfy the condition of National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) completely.
