모바일 디지털카메라 모듈에 대한 개선된 AE 알고리즘 구현 (An Improved AE System for Mobile Digital Still Camera)

  • In this paper, an improved AE system for digital still camera is proposed. AE system is auto exposure system to maintain optimized brightness of output image. But there is limitation for mobile devices to get high quality image with the conventional AE algorithm, because of organizational restriction of system. The conventional research has been studied only electronic shutter and AGC on the AE algorithm. In this paper, we suggest new AE algorithm included target setting, frame delay, Gamma Correction as well as electronic shutter and AGC to get high quality image. The proposed algorithm show improved result at control speed and ability of luminance expression.

$CO_2$박판 고속용접에서 용접현상 분석과 전류상승기울기의 영향 (Analysis of Welding Phenomena and Effect of Short Circuit Current Rise Slope in the High Speed $CO_2$ Welding of Steel Sheets)

  • In high speed $CO_2$ welding, it has been blown to produce no sound bead with undercut or humping bead. In this study welding phenomena through synchronized high speed camera and output welding voltage and current waveform has been analyzed. For the purpose to improve a welding bead, effect of short circuit current rise slope has been examined. With commercial power source it was produced no sound bead by instantaneous short circuit, long arc period and stubbing at welding speed 2.5mm/min Humping bead or undercut were showed by instantaneous short circuit and long arc period. Also, the weld bead was not formed during the long short circuit period after stubbing start and long arc extinguishment period after wire sticking by failure of arc regeneration, because the droplet was not transferred to weld pool. With increasing short circuit current rise slope the frequency of stubbing was decreased and the normal short circuit rate was increased. A control of short circuit current rise slope was effective factor in high speed welding.

고해상도 CCTV 카메라를 위한 빠른 사람 검출 알고리즘 (Fast Human Detection Algorithm for High-Resolution CCTV Camera)

  • 본 논문은 사람 검출 알고리즘을 고해상도 CCTV 카메라에 적용할 수 있도록 빠른 사람 검출 알고리즘을 제안한다. HOG 디텍터를 이용한 사람 검출 알고리즘은 영상처리 분야의 최신 기술로 높은 성능을 보인다. 그러나 HOG 특징 추출과정에서 연산 속도가 느려 실시간 고해상도 영상에 적용하기 어렵다. 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위해 2단계 검출 방법을 제안한다. 먼저 전처리 과정으로 배경 차감법(Background subtraction)을 이용하여 사람 후보 영역을 찾는다. 이후 사람 후보영역에서만 HOG 디텍터를 이용하여 사람/비사람 구분을 수행한다. 이러한 두 단계의 실험 결과 약 2.5배의 검출 속도 향상을 보였으며, 성능 저하는 거의 없음을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • Impact properties of glass/Kevlar hybrid composites which have 3-D braided structures were studied. Results were compared to those of composites made of only glass fibers where the same epoxy resin were used as matrix. Absorbed impact energies evaluated through the combination of the data from the impact tester and high speed camera were compared to each other. In order to see the difference between the damaged area distribution CCD camera captures were performed.

  • This paper presents a survey of the CMOs-based image sensor and its applications to various real field digital camera. CMOS image sensor, called active pixel sensor (APS), has many interesting properties such ash I회 sensitivity, high speed readout, random access and lower power consumption when it is compared with CCd. this paper also addresses the state-of-the-art of CMOS image sensor, and gives some examples of its application to digital camera and special-purpose cameras. with the advancement of semiconductor technology, CMOS image sensor is a future technology for imaging system, and will be widely used in the filed of image capturing for consumer electronics and scientific measurements.

  • In this page, we developed the inspection system for automobile parts using the laser vision sensor. Laser vision sensor has gotten 2 dimensions information and third dimension information of laser vision camera using the vision camera. Used JIG and ROBOT for inspection position transfer. Also, computer integration system developed that control system component pal1s and manage data measurement information. Compare sensor measurement result with CAD Data and verified measurement result effectiveness taking advantage of CAD to get information of measurement object.

Experimental Investigations on Upper Part Load Vortex Rope Pressure Fluctuations in Francis Turbine Draft Tube

  • The swirling flow developing in Francis turbine draft tube under part load operation leads to pressure fluctuations usually in the range of 0.2 to 0.4 times the runner rotational frequency resulting from the so-called vortex breakdown. For low cavitation number, the flow features a cavitation vortex rope animated with precession motion. Under given conditions, these pressure fluctuations may lead to undesirable pressure fluctuations in the entire hydraulic system and also produce active power oscillations. For the upper part load range, between 0.7 and 0.85 times the best efficiency discharge, pressure fluctuations may appear in a higher frequency range of 2 to 4 times the runner rotational speed and feature modulations with vortex rope precession. It has been pointed out that for this particular operating point, the vortex rope features elliptical cross section and is animated of a self-rotation. This paper presents an experimental investigation focusing on this peculiar phenomenon, defined as the upper part load vortex rope. The experimental investigation is carried out on a high specific speed Francis turbine scale model installed on a test rig of the EPFL Laboratory for Hydraulic Machines. The selected operating point corresponds to a discharge of 0.83 times the best efficiency discharge. Observations of the cavitation vortex carried out with high speed camera have been recorded and synchronized with pressure fluctuations measurements at the draft tube cone. First, the vortex rope self rotation frequency is evidenced and the related frequency is deduced. Then, the influence of the sigma cavitation number on vortex rope shape and pressure fluctuations is presented. The waterfall diagram of the pressure fluctuations evidences resonance effects with the hydraulic circuit. The influence of outlet bubble cavitation and air injection is also investigated for low cavitation number. The time evolution of the vortex rope volume is compared with pressure fluctuations time evolution using image processing. Finally, the influence of the Froude number on the vortex rope shape and the associated pressure fluctuations is analyzed by varying the rotational speed.

  • The particle velocity in superfluid helium (He II) induced by a gas dynamic shock wave impingement onto He II free surface were studied experimentally by using Schlieren visualization method with an ultra-high speed video camera. It is found form visualization results that a dark zone in the immediate vicinity of the vapor-He II interface region is formed because of the high compressibility of He II and is developed toward bulk He II with the flowing-down speed of the vapor-He II interface. The mass velocity behind a transmitted compression shock wave that is equal to the contraction speed of He II amounts to 10 m/sec, the Reynolds number of which reaches $10^{7}$. This fact suggests that the superfluid shock tube facility can be applied to an experimental facility for high Reynols number flow as an alternative to the superfluid wind tunnel.

  • A fundamental experimental study for an alternative proposal to super-speed craft propulsion system called underwater ram-jet propulsion by high pressure air ejection as driving force was investigated. For basic study of the effects of ram-jet propulsion performance, a simple underwater ram-jet flow field was established and PIV(Particle Image Velocimetry) method was adopted to analyse the jet-induced flow appearing at ram intake, mixing chamber and nozzle. Some flow dynamics relating to the high-speed ram-jet effect were discussed for the basic understanding of the its propulsion principle.

  • To process data of digital linescan camera, the frame grabber is essential to handle the data in low-level and in high speed more than 30 MHz stably. Traditional approaches to the development of hardware in vision system for the special purpose are mai y based on PC system, and are expensive and gigantic. Therefore, there are many difficulties in applying those in the field. So we investigate, in this paper, the implementation of FPGA for real-time processing of digital linescan camera. The system is not based on PC, but electronic device such as micropncessor. So it is expected that the use of FPGAs for low-level processing represents a fast, stable and inexpensive system. The experiments are carried out on the web guiding system in order to show the efficiency of the new image processor.
