NUMERICAL SOLUTIONS FOR SPACE FRACTIONAL DISPERSION EQUATIONS WITH NONLINEAR SOURCE TERMS

  • Numerical solutions for the fractional differential dispersion equations with nonlinear forcing terms are considered. The backward Euler finite difference scheme is applied in order to obtain numerical solutions for the equation. Existence and stability of the approximate solutions are carried out by using the right shifted Grunwald formula for the fractional derivative term in the spatial direction. Error estimate of order $O({\Delta}x+{\Delta}t)$ is obtained in the discrete $L_2$ norm. The method is applied to a linear fractional dispersion equations in order to see the theoretical order of convergence. Numerical results for a nonlinear problem show that the numerical solution approach the solution of classical diffusion equation as fractional order approaches 2.

  • Calculation of accurate wall heat flux for high enthalpy flows requires a dense grid system, which leads to significantly large computational time. A high-order scheme can improve the efficiency of calculation because wall heat flux can be obtained accurately even with a relatively coarse grid system. However, conventional high order schemes have some drawbacks such as oscillations near a discontinuity and instability in multi-dimensional problem. To resolve these problems, enhanced Multi-dimensional Limiting Process(e-MLP) was applied as a high-order scheme. It could provide robust and accurate solutions with high order accuracy in calculation of high enthalpy flows within a short time. We could confirm the efficiency of the high order e-MLP scheme through grid convergence tests with different grid densities in a hypersonic blunt nose problem.

  • Via extension of the classical double-Newton method, we propose high-order family of two-point methods in this paper. Theoretical and computational properties of the proposed methods are fully investigated along with a main theorem describing methodology and convergence analysis. Typical numerical examples are thoroughly treated to verify the underlying theory.

  • In this paper, we have suggested an extended double Newton's method with sixth-order convergence by considering a control parameter ${\gamma}$ and a weight function H(s, u). We have determined forms of ${\gamma}$ and H(s, u) in order to induce the greatest order of convergence and established the main theorem utilizing related properties. The developed theory is ensured by numerical experiments with high-precision computation for a number of test functions.

  • In order to broadcast 8K UHD, domestic broadcasting is upgrading production, operation, and transmission technologies in a new way that has various forms such as terrestrial broadcasting, IPTV, mobile, and streaming services. In order to overcome the existing SDI transmission technology that has reached its limit, new transmission technologies using ICT-based convergence such as IT, Network, IOT, and Big Data are developing. Internet Protocol(IP) transmission technology is an IT-based core protocol that transcends various broadcasting infrastructures. Therefore, it can be said that the technology for converting the broadcasting system based on IP is a natural one for preparing for 8K UHD in the future. In this paper, we propose an IP transmission system that adopts a network that can transmit 8K with hardware of 12G Serial Digital Interface (SDI), in order to prepare for the future broadcasting system according to the development of ALL IP interface technology.

PWM 제어용 고전압 릴레이의 테스트베드 설계 (Testbed Design of PWM Controlled High Voltage Relay)

  • The purpose of this study is to develop a virtual testbed capable of predicting the functional performance of a linear electromagnetic actuator for a high voltage relay in order to reduce its development costs and time. The virtual testbed is defined by a multiphysics coupling approach in order to consider the complex interactions of multi-domains such as the solenoid model of electromagnets, the mass-spring-damper model of mechanical systems, the electric circuit model for an external control unit, and the thermal model for predicting temperature variations. The performances of the existing high voltage relay were estimated by the virtual testbed, and then the effectiveness and validation of the proposed testbed were discussed in comparison with the experimental test results. This study showed that the virtual testbed can be applied in design, optimization, and investigation of high voltage relays.

디지털기기와 디지털서비스의 컨버전스 수준 평가에 따른 컨버전스 세대의 탐색적 고찰 (An Exploratory Study on Convergence generation according to the convergence level estimation of Digital Device and Service)

  • 본 연구의 목적은 인구통계학적 특성에 따른 디지털컨버전스 수준을 분석하며, 디지털기기와 디지털서비스의 사용빈도에 다른 컨버전스 수준을 분석하고자 한다. 연구방법으로는 FGI, 전문가 자문그룹과 인터뷰와 설문분석을 수행하였다. 연구결과, 30대, 대학원이상의 고등교육을 받은 사람들이 디지털컨버전스 기기와 서비스에 적극적으로 참여하였으며, 소비자들이 사용하는 컨버전스 기기중 컨버전스 수준이 높은 기기는 스마트폰, 타블렛 PC, 넷북의 순서로 높이 나타났으며, 컨버전스 서비스에서는 SNS, 트위터, UCC, 포탈 메시지, 앱스토아, e-Book 웹하드의 순서로 나타났다. 컨버전스 세대들은 스마트폰을 활용한 앱스토아, 무선 게임을 즐기며, 페이스북/싸이월드, 트위터, 포탈과 인터넷 커뮤니티 서비스에 많이 참여하고 있는 것으로 나타났다.

ON A SIMPLE HIGH ORDER NUMERICAL DIFFERENTIATION USING THE LAGRANGE INTERPOLATION

  • Numerical differentiation is one of the main topics which have been studied by many researchers. If we use the forward difference scheme or the centered difference scheme, the convergence rates to the derivative are O(h) and O($h^2$), respectively. In this paper, using the Lagrange Interpolation, we construct a simple high order numerical differentiation scheme which has the convergence rate O($h^{2k}$) if we have 2k+1 equally spaced nodes. Our scheme is constructive.

고압용 밸브시험기의 거동해석 (Behavior Analysis of High Pressure Valve Tester)

  • 밸브를 생산하는 공장에서 사용하는 기존의 밸브시험기는 압력을 수동 조작함으로서 정밀압력을 측정 할 수 없었다. 이를 개선하기 위하여 기존의 밸브시험기에 대하여 CATIA를 활용하여 설계하고 3차원 유한요소 해석코드인 ANSYS를 활용하여 설계된 밸브시험기에 대하여 거동해석을 수행하고 고압의 내부압력에 따른 내부누수, 총변형량, 변형률, 응력 등을 구하였다. 이러한 해석결과는 새로운 고압용 밸브시험기를 개발하기 위한 초기자료로 활용되었다.

  • 고효율 변조기법 (16 QAM or 64QAM)이 비선형 고전력 증폭기 (High-Power Amplifier; HPA)를 사용하는 통신시스템에 적용되었을 때 비선형 왜곡에 의해 성능저하가 발생할 수 있다. 이런 비선형 왜곡은 수신부에서 복잡도가 낮은 LMS 알고리즘을 적용한 적응적 비선형 Volterra 등화기를 사용하여 보상할 수 있지만, 매우 느린 수렴 속도를 가지는 단점이 있다. 본 논문에서는 수렴 속도를 향상시키기 위한 병렬 M대역 이산 웨이블릿 변환영역 LMS (Parallel M-band Discrete Wavelet Transform Least Mean Square) 알고리즘을 제안한다. 모의실험을 통하여 제안된 기법이 기존의 시간 영역 LMS 알고리즘과 변환 영역 LMS 알고리즘들에 비해 수렴 속도가 우수함을 보여준다.
