KTX 운행현황을 고려한 고속선 레일 연마 기준 정립에 대한 연구 (Study on the Establishment of Rail Grinding Criteria of High-Speed Railway Lines Considering the KTX Operation Circumstances)

  • The importance of maintenance of rail surface defects is increasing more according to the KTX operation. That is because during high speed operation of rolling stock, rail surface defects may cause shortened fatigue life of rail, acceleration of track degradation and reduced ride comfort. The paper was intended to study the establishment of rail grinding criteria of high-speed railway lines considering the KTX operation circumstances. For this, the specimens of UIC 60 rail on Kyeong-Bu high-speed operation lines were collected and they were analyzed for metallographic structure and tested for the hardness. By analyzing the test results to the factors affecting the RCF causing the defects of rail surface, the study suggested the rail grinding criteria of the domestic high speed railway lines. As the factors affecting RCF, passing tonnage, running speed and track condition are considered.

고속철도교량의 동적안정성 평가연구 (An Evaluation Study on the Dynamic Stability of High Speed Railway Bridges)

  • In the design of high speed railway bridges is important a impact factor as a tool of assessing the dynamic capacitys of bridges. However, the impact factor(or dynamic amplification factor, DAF) of high speed railway bridges may essentially be changeable because the dynamic response is affected by the long train length(380 m), number of axles and high speed velocity(300 km/h)(Korea Train eXpress: KTX). Therefore, on this study will be examined the dynamic capacity and stability of the typical PSC Box Girder of high speed railway bridge. At first, the static/dynamic analysis is performed considering the axle load line of KTX based upon existing references. Additionally, the KTX moving load is transformed into the dynamic time series load for conducting various parameter studies like axle length, analytical time increment, velocity of KTX. The time history analysis is repeatedly performed to get maximum dynamic responce by varying axle load length, analytical time increment, velocity of KTX. The study shows that dynamic analysis has resonable results with optimal axle load length(0.6 m) and time increment(0.01 sec.) and maximum DAF and dynamic resonance happens at 270 km/h velocity of KTX.

PSC-box 철도교량의 KTX 및 EMU 고속열차에 대한 동적 응답 특성 분석 (Analysis of Dynamic Response Characteristics for KTX and EMU High-Speed Trains on PSC-Box Railway Bridges)

  • 국내 경부선 및 호남선의 고속철도교량은 대부분 PSC-box 형식으로 설계되어 있고, 경간장35~40m인 경우 약 4~5Hz 정도의 1차 휨 고유진동수를 가지고 있다. 이때 KTX 고속열차가 290~310 km/h 속도로 주행할 경우, 열차에 의한 가진 진동수가 교량의 1차 휨 고유진동수에 근접하면서 공진 유사 현상이 발생하게 된다. KTX와 함께 향후 운행예정인 EMU-320 고속열차의 증속에 대해서도 철도교량의 동적 응답을 통한 안전성 분석이 필요한 상황이다. 본 연구에서는 실제 철도교량에서 계측된 응답을 기반으로 구조해석모델 개선 기법을 통해 대상 철도교량과 거동이 유사한 해석모델을 구현하였다. 개선된 구조해석모델은 고속철도교량에 KTX가 주행할 때 계측된 응답과 비교하여 검증하고, 이를 통해 KTX와 EMU-320 고속열차가 증속할 경우 동적 응답 특성을 분석하였다. 또한, 결과적으로, 교량 중앙부의 최대 수직변위와 가속도의 변화는 철도설계기준과 비교하여 주행 안전성을 평가하였다.

  • Dynamic response is an important consideration because of the possibility of resonance according to KTX running over a railway bridges. When KTX runs over the bridge at critical speed, dynamic response is very depending on damping ratio. Current damping ratio for design of high-speed railway bridges adopted EUROCODE without verification of domestic railway bridges. The purpose of this study is to obtain the coherent damping ratio of high-speed railway bridges. Free vibration signal after KTX runs over a high-speed railway bridge was applied. The representative value from distribution of damping ratio was considered.

  • The dynamic behavior of high speed train is very important because of its safety and passengers' ride comfort. The railway vehicle is composed of many suspension components, such as 1st springs, 1st dampers, 2nd springs and 2nd dampers, that have an influence on the dynamic characteristics of high speed train. Also, the wheel/rail shapes and the track geometry affect the dynamic behavior of high speed train. This paper reviews the dynamic behavior of KHST in the KTX test line. The VAMPIRE program is used for this simulation. The simulation results are within the limits of safety criteria. Thus the KHST can operate safely at 350 km/h in the KTX test line.

  • The KTX train which brings April 2004 high-speed railroad commerce operation time is operated currently Kyungbu line Seoul-Gwangmyeong-Daejeon-Dongdaegu-Pusan and Honam line Youngsan-Gwangmyeong-Seodaejeon-Kwangju/Mokpo. The high-speed railroad opening to traffic after KTX train interior noise follows in railway line quality change and it is changing together. From the research which it sees until opening to traffic after present time of the KTX vehicle it executed an interior noise quality change from Kyungbu line.

CONCRETE MUST BE TRACK IRREGULARITY THAN BALLASTED TRACK, VEHICLES VIBRATION VALUES THAT ARE SMALLER. ALSO, IN TERMS OF MAINTENANCE, CONCRETE TRACK IS KNOWN TO BE MORE FAVORABLE THAN THE BALLASTED TRACK. PHASE 2 IS THE KTX, DAEGU - BUSAN IS A SECTION OF CONCRETE TRACK. IN THIS STUDY, "KUUNG-BU HIGH-SPEED RAILWAY LINES" INSTALLED ON THE CONCRETE TRACK AND BALLASTED TRACK KTX FROM THE VEHICLE WHEN INSTALLED BETWEEN RAILS, SLEEPER AND BALLAST ON THE TRACK WAS MEASURED VIBRATIONS.

  • 고속철도교량의 설계개념은 정적하중에 따른 충격계수를 고려하여 기존 교량 구조물의 강성을 증가시키기 위한 방안을 적용하고 있으며, 전반적인 구조설계 과정은 선진 외국기술에 의존하고 있는 실정이다. 그러나 고속철도(Korea Train eXpress: KTX)의 긴 연장(380 m)과 고속(300 km/h) 주행은 공진현상에 상당한 영향을 미치기 때문에 고속철도교량의 동적증폭계수(DAF) 및 동적성능 평가는 상세한 검토가 필수적으로 수행되어야 할 것이다. 따라서 이 연구에서는 전형적인 PSC 박스 거더 고속철도교량을 대상으로 동적성능을 효율적으로 검토하고자 하며, 합리적인 구조설계를 위한 기초자료를 제시하고자 한다. 이를 위해, 기존문헌을 토대로 KTX의 하중선도를 고려하여 정적해석을 수행하였다. 또한 다양한 해석변수를 고려하여 KTX의 이동하중을 시계열하중으로 변환하였으며, 변환된 시계열하중을 이용하여 시간이력해석을 합리적으로 평가하였다. 이때, 시계열하중을 산정하기 위한 변수는 KTX의 하중재하 절점간격, 시간증분 및 속도변화를 고려하였다. FE해석 결과를 바탕으로 PSC 박스 거더 고속철도교량의 동적성능을 체계적으로 검토하였으며, 국내외 관련규정에 따라 구조안전성을 정량적으로 평가하였다.

A Study on the Contact Force between Catenary and Pantograph in Duplicate KTX-II Operation

  • Electric railway system driving the electric cars using power from catenary has been secured by performance of stable tracking between pantograph and catenary. The performance of the power collecting of pantograph is the one of the most important skills for high-speed train speed. The first Korea high-speed train(KTX) is 20 cars in one train set. In the meantime, collecting capability of single pantograph collector at one train set was confirmed through evaluation of the performance and the stability test. However, more research is needed to build for a stable collecting capability of coupled Korea's KTX-II High-speed system which is developed in Korea. In this study, actual vehicle test of coupled KTXSanchon was made to analyzing the data presented by the dynamic nature of catenary and pantograph, and the interface characteristics.

  • Enhancements of transport capacity in Gyeongbu line are continuous with the operating cost reduction and Korean economic development. Besides, requirements of a people about speed-up and customer service after the opening of high-speed railway(KTX) are being increased nowadays. Therefore, development and effort for speed increase of high-speed railway(KTX) have to be encouraged and supported by the government. In this study, market and technology trends for speed increase of high-speed train in Korea and abroad were investigated. As a result, we suggested to improve the railway infra for speed increase of high-speed train in Gyeongbu line.
