Development of a Precision BLDC Servo Position Controller for Composite Smoke Bomb Azimuth Driving System (복합연막탄 선회구동장치를 위한 정밀 BLDC 서보 위치 제어기 개발)

  • This study has been done to design a precise system and develop position control algorithm to control a Composite Smoke Bomb Azimuth driving apparatus of a BLDC servo motor. Having to Blind the sight of opposite tank. the Smoke Bomb Rotational driving system needs instant response that is able to detect opponent appearance and blast the bomb at a short time. So a design that shows fast current response capability or $300[Hz]\sim500[Hz]$ is proposed. in the MIN-MAX PWM technology is used to increase the operational speed. in order to control the blasting position, a precision position control algorithm that utilizes the integral value of speed trajectory is suggested. Also these characteristics are monitored and assessed by the PC based monitoring program which shows the graphs of current, voltage, position, and speed parameters. The main controller is based on a TMS320VC33 high performance floating-point DSP(Digital Signal Process) and the PWM generator utilizes EPM7128 CPLD.

  • In this paper, we present a full digital control scheme which controls currents and speed of the permanent magnet AC servo motor with large range of bandwidth and high performance. The current equations of the permanent magnet AC servo motor are linearized by feedback linearization technique. Both acceleration feedforward terms and IP controllers, whose gains are functions of motor speed, are used in order to control motor currents. In addition the phase delays in current control loops are compensated by placing phase lead-lag compensators after current commands, which make it possible to avoid high gains in the current controllers. Unity power factor can be achieved by the proposed current controller. Pulsewidth modulation is performed by way of the well-known comparison with a triangular carrier signals. The velocity controller is designed on the basis of the linearized model of the permanent magnet AC servo motor by the proposed current controller. The performance of the entire control system is analyzed in the presence of uncertainty in the motor parameters. The proposed control scheme is implemented using the digital signal processor-based controller composed of an Analog Device ADSP 2111 and a NEC78310. The pulsewidth modulation (PWM) signals are generated through a custom IC, SAMSUNG-PWM1, which has the outputs of current controllers as input. The experimental results show that the permanent magnet AC servo motor can be always driven with high dynamic performance by the proposed full digital control scheme of motor speed and motor current.

  • A new control method of spindle induction motor drive is proposed in this paper. In a conventional control method, the vector control was employed in the low speed range, while the constant V/f(volt-per-hertz) PWM control was employed in the high speed range. The two control modes were automatically selected at an intermediate speed. In a proposed control method, the direct vector-control with an encoder is employed in the low speed range(from 0 to 8,000rpm), and the vector control without an encoder is employed in th high speed(from 8,000 to 15,000rpm) by using flux observer and speed estimator. This paper describes problem of control method in a conventional spindle induction motor drive and proposes contort method as variation of motor speed.

  • The development of a high power BLDC servo system for a control of the large scale mechanical system is presented. Using DSP TMS320C30, a control unit which is suitable for motor drive system, is developed. Also, based on the developed control unit, BLDC drive system for the speed control is constructed. The algorithms of the vector control, current control, and speed control is implemented using TMS320C30 Software Development Tool. The developed high power BLDC motor drive system is applied to the large scale mechanical system and its feasibility is verified through the experimental results.

  • The speed control associated with dc servo motors for direct-drive applications of mobile robot is considered in this study. Robot is moved by power wheeled steering of two dc servo motors mounted to it. In order to cooperate with micro-computer and to achieve the high-performance operation of dc servo motor, speed control system is composed of a digital Phase Locked Loop and H-type drive circuit. And the motor is driven by Pulse Width Modulations. In controlling PWM, it is modified to compose of H-type drive circuit with feedback diodes and switching transistor and design of control sequence so that it may show linear characteristics. As a result, speed characteristics of motor showed linear features. In order to get data on design of PLL control system, the parameters of 80[W[ motor & robot device is measured by simple software control. The PLL speed control system is schemed and designed by leaner drive circuit and measured parameters. A complete speed control system applied to 80[W] dc servo motor showed good linearity, stability and high response. Also, it is verified that the PLL speed control system has good compatibility as a mobile robot driver.

  • High speed drive method for a fuel injector cleaner with current control is presented in this paper. The fuel injector cleaner is used for cleaning the fuel injectors in vehicles when it is clogged with deposit and rust. The fuel injector cleaner cleans the fuel injector by turning on and off the fuel injector rapidly. When the fuel injectors are cleaned, the switching speed is very important. However, when the fuel injector is turned off, the residual current in the fuel injector coil slows down the return action of the plunger in the fuel injector deteriorating performance and speed of the fuel injector cleaner. In this paper, fast turn off operation method of fuel injectors is developed for more effective cleaning. The simulation and experiment results show the validity of the proposed method.

  • In this paper, the gearless traction machine drive system using a permanent-maget motor for high-speed elevators is addressed. This application of permanent-magnet motor to the elevator traction machine enables several improvements including higher efficiency, better ride comfort, smaller size and weight, and so on. PWM boost converter is also adopted so that DC-link voltage regulation, hi-directional power flow, and controllable power factor with reduced input current harmonics are possible. To increase reliability and performance, the control board, which can include the car and group controller as well as PWM converter and inverter controller, is designed based on TMS320VC33 DSP The simulator system for high-speed elevators has been developed so that the drive system of high-speed elevator can be tested without my limitation on ride distance and the load condition. Some experimental results are given to verify the effectiveness of the developed system.

  • In this paper, an auto-tuning method for fuzzy controller's membership functions based on the neural network is presented. The neural network emulator offers the path which reforms the fuzzy controller's membership functions and fuzzy rule, and the reformed fuzzy controller uses for speed control of induction motor. Thus, in the case of motor parameter variation, the proposed method is superior to a conventional method in the respect of operation time and system performance. 32bit micro-processor DSP(TMS320C31) is used to achieve the high speed calculation of the space voltage vector PWM and to build the self-learning fuzzy control algorithm. Through computer simulation and experimental results, it is confirmed that the proposed method can provide more improved control performance than that PI controller and conventional fuzzy controller.

  • The traction drive system for the urban transit Rubber-tire system is described in this paper. To control the magnitude and frequency of the output voltage of induction motor transiently, the vector control strategy is generally used. But in case of the traction drive system for the railway vehicle, it is difficult to use the vector control caused by the one-pulse mode in the high speed region. Therefore, this paper proposes the control strategy combined the vector control in the low speed region and the slip frequency control in the high speed region. And also, the overmodulation PWM method is discussed to make the change to the one-pulse mode softly. The performance of the Proposed traction drive system is verified by the MATLAB simulation results.

  • BLDC 전동기는 역기전력이 사다리꼴이며 운전은 전기각 $60^{\circ}$로 구분되어 상전환이 이루어진다. 이와 같은 $60^{\circ}$ 구간에서 전압은 균일하게 인가되어야 하며, 이를 위하여 시비율을 조절하고 각 구간마다 균일한 전압이 출력될 수 있도록 한다. 그러나 $60^{\circ}$의 상전환 시점과 PWM의 인가시점이 일치하지 않으며, 이에 따라 시비율을 일정하게 제어하더라도 각 $60^{\circ}$구간의 전압이 균일하지 않게 될 수 있다. 이와 같은 현상은 $60^{\circ}$ 구간의 시간이 짧아져서 PWM 펄스개수가 줄어드는 고속 구간에서 오차가 더 크게 반영될 수 있다. 이를 보완하기 위하여 본 논문에서는 PWM의 주기 시점과 상전환 시점을 동기화하여 제어하는 방안을 제안하고, 시험을 통하여 검증하였다.
