$^{64}Cu$-labeled diacetyl-bis($N^4$-methylthiosemicarbazone) is a promising agent for internal radiation therapy and imaging of hypoxic tissues. In the study, we confirmed hypoxia regions in VX2 tumor implanted rabbits with injection $^{64}Cu$-ATSM and $^{18}F$-FDG using positron emission tomography (PET)/computed tomography (CT). PET images with $^{18}F$-FDG and $^{64}Cu$-ATSM were obtained for 40 min by dynamic scan and additional delayed PET images of $^{64}Cu$-ATSM the acquired up to 48 hours. Correlation between intratumoral $O_2$ level and $^{64}Cu$-ATSM PET image was analyzed. $^{64}Cu$-ATSM and $^{18}F$-FDG were intravenously co-injected and the tumor was dissected and cut into slices for a dual-tracer autoradiographic analysis. In the PET imaging, $^{64}Cu$-ATSM in VX2 tumors displayed a specific uptake in hypoxic region for48 h. The uptake pattern of $^{64}Cu$-ATSM in VX2 tumor at 24 and 48 h did not match to the $^{18}F$-FDG. Through ROI analysis, in the early phase (dynamic scan), $^{18}F$-FDG has positive correlation with $^{64}Cu$-ATSM but late phase (24 and 48 h) of the $^{64}Cu$-ATSM showed negative correlation with $^{18}F$-FDG. High uptake of $^{64}Cu$-ATSM in hypoxic region was responded with significant decrease of oxygen pressure, which confirmed by $^{64}Cu$-ATSM PET imaging and autoradiographic analysis. In conclusion, $^{64}Cu$-ATSM can utilize for specific targeting of hypoxic region in tumor, and discrimination between necrotic- and viable hypoxic tissue.

In this study, 4 gases containing typical chlorinated volatile organic compounds (VOCs) were treated by ultraviolet (UV) irradiation. The typical chlorinated VOCs are dichloromethane (DCM), trichloromethane (TCM), carbon tetrachloride (CTC) and trichloroethylene (TCE). The removal efficiency (RE) and the products of chlorinated VOCs by UV irradiation are investigated. At this time, 2 types of background gas (air and nitrogen) were used to figure out the RE by photooxidation and photolysis. The specification of UV-lamp used in this study was low-pressure mercury lamp emitting wavelength of 185~254 nm. The experimental conditions were set as initial VOC concentration of $180{\pm}10ppm$, empty bed retention time (EBRT) of 53 s, temperature of $23{\pm}2^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of $65{\pm}5%$. In the photolysis condition with nitrogen ($N_2$) as background gas, the averaged RE of the 4 types of chlorinated VOCs was about 24% higher than that with photooxidation; and the REs of VOCs except CTC were confirmed as >99%. The composition of off-gases after UV photooxidation in air was investigated and several intermediates from DCM, TCM and TCE were detected by GC/MS. Among them, phosgene which is a toxics was detected as an intermediate of TCM. In addition, the concentration of carbon dioxide ($CO_2$) in the off-gases was measured to calculate the mineralization rate (MR). With the photooxidation, TCE showed the highest RE (>99%) while MR was the lowest (17%); and the MR of DCM was the highest (86%). In addition, particulate matters (PM) in the off-gases was also detected and high concentrated $PM_{10}$ ($21,580{\mu}g{\cdot}m^{-3}$) and $PM_{2.5}$ ($6,346{\mu}g{\cdot}m^{-3}$) were detected in TCE off-gas. More than 99% of the chlorinated VOCs could be removed using UV254-185 nm lamp, while it is necessary to conduct further studies on the production and treatment of secondary pollutants.

Background: This study investigated a safe and effective bolus dose and lockout time for patient-controlled sedation (PCS) with dexmedetomidine for dental treatments. The depth of sedation, vital signs, and patient satisfaction were investigated to demonstrate safety. Methods: Thirty patients requiring dental scaling were enrolled and randomly divided into three groups based on bolus doses and lockout times: group 1 (low dose group, bolus dose 0.05 ㎍/kg, 1-minute lockout time), group 2 (middle dose group, 0.1 ㎍/kg, 1-minute), and group 3 (high dose group, 0.2 ㎍/kg, 3-minute) (n = 10 each). ECG, pulse, oxygen saturation, blood pressure, end-tidal CO2, respiratory rate, and bispectral index scores (BIS) were measured and recorded. The study was conducted in two stages: the first involved sedation without dental treatment and the second included sedation with dental scaling. Patients were instructed to press the drug demand button every 10 s, and the process of falling asleep and waking up was repeated 1-5 times. In the second stage, during dental scaling, patients were instructed to press the drug demand button. Loss of responsiveness (LOR) was defined as failure to respond to auditory stimuli six times, determining sleep onset. Patient and dentist satisfaction were assessed before and after experimentation. Results: Thirty patients (22 males) participated in the study. Scaling was performed in 29 patients after excluding one who experienced dizziness during the first stage. The average number of drug administrations until first LOR was significantly lower in group 3 (2.8 times) than groups 1 and 2 (8.0 and 6.5 times, respectively). The time taken to reach the LOR showed no difference between groups. During the second stage, the average time required to reach the LOR during scaling was 583.4 seconds. The effect site concentrations (Ce) was significantly lower in group 1 than groups 2 and 3. In the participant survey on PCS, 8/10 in group 3 reported partial memory loss, whereas 17/20 in groups 1 and 2 recalled the procedure fully or partially. Conclusion: PCS with dexmedetomidine can provide a rapid onset of sedation, safe vital sign management, and minimal side effects, thus facilitating smooth dental sedation.
A number of auriferous veins occur in the Precambrian metamorphic terrain from Chungju to Mugeug district. These gold (-silver) deposits consist mainly of the fissure-filling quartz veins intruding the Precambrian gneiss or schist and Jurassic or Cretaceous granite. These gold (-silver) deposits can be 'divided into two mineralization epochs, (a) gold-rich veins related to Daebo igneous activity, and (b) gold-silver veins related to Bulgugsa igneous activity. These two groups of ore deposits with different generation can be characterized by the mode of occurrence of ore vein and the ore mineral associations. The auriferous quartz veins of Taechang and Boryeon mines associated with late Jurassic igneous activity are massive in character, and show the simple mineral assemblages and low Ag/Au ratio in the ores, representing a single mineralization system. The ore minerals are predominantly quartz containing minor or trace amonts of pyrrhotite, sphalerite, galena, pyrite, chalcopyrite and electrum. Electrum is closely associated with pyrrhotite and has chemical compositions from 61.4 to 78.5 atomic % Au. Fluid inclusion data suggest that ore minerals were deposited at temperatures between 238 and $390^{\circ}C$ from $CO_2$-rich fluids. The gold and/or silver-bearing quartz veins of Geumwang mine related to middle Cretaceous igneous activity are characterized by the multistage history, diverse mineral assemblages with high Ag/Au ratio in the ores. The ores of Geumwang mine have two contrasting mineral assemblages (1) pyrite+galena+sphalerite+arsenopyrite+electrum+argentite, representing the higher gold mineralization, and (2) pyrite+chalcopyrite+ galena +sphalerite+ arsenopyrite+silver sulfosalts+ electrum+ native silver+argentite, representing the higher silver mineralization. Electrum is closely associated with pyrite and has chemical compositions from 11.2 to 49.9 atomic % Au. The depositional environment during the higher gold mineralization can be estimated as the range of both temperature and sulfur fugacity, T= $200{\sim}300^{\circ}C$, log f ($S_2$) = $10^{-10}{\sim}10^{-15}$. The higher silver mineralization may be interpreted to have formed a range of falling temperature ($150{\sim}200^{\circ}C$) and low sulfur fugacity($10^{-10}{\sim}10^{-15}$). These temperature data are consistent with homogenization temperatures of fluId inclusions in quartz. Thus, the gold veins related to the Daebo igneous activity may be formed by the environment of higher temperature and pressure than the gold-silver veins associated with the Bulgugsa igneous activity.
Red ginseng was treated by subcritical water extraction (SWE) whose two parameters were the extraction temperature ($105-150^{\circ}C$) and time (5-20 min) under a high pressure. The oBrix value, solid content, color difference, and turbidity of the red ginseng extract increased with increasing extraction time and temperature, while the pH decreased. The total concentration of ginsenosides in the red ginseng extract was maximal at $120^{\circ}C$ and 20 min. The concentrations of ginsenosides Rg3 and Rh1 were maximal at $150^{\circ}C$ and 15 min. The concentrations of Rg3 and Rh1 were respectively 3.5-5 times and 2-2.5 times higher than those treated by conventional extraction methods with hot water, ethanol, and methanol. SWE is a particularly effective method for the selective extraction of less-polar ginsenosides such as Rg3 which is well known to exert strong anticancer effects.
The purpose of this study is primarily to test the use value of tooth ash as an alternative material of the synthetic hydroxyapatite. For this purpose the author performed the experimental study to investigate the phsyical properties of sintered tooth ash and its histocompatibility in vitro. The tooth ash was made by incinerating procedure at $650^{\circ}C,\;750^{\circ}C,\;850^{\circ}C,\;950^{\circ}C\;and\;1050^{\circ}C$ respectively. The composition of tooth ash was analyzed and X-ray diffraction was done. The experimental specimens were molded to the cylinderical form 1 cm high, 1 cm in diameter under the pressure of $1000kg/cm^2$, which were divided into two groups; the one is sintered tooth ash at $1100^{\circ}C$ and the other is fired mixture of tooth ash and dental porcelain mixed to the weight ratio of 4:6, 5:5, 6:4 and 7:3. The physical propoerties of the sintered specimens were examined and their microstructure was observed under the Scanning Electron Microscope. The results obtained were as followings: 1. The difference of the tooth ash composition depending on incinerating temperature was of no significance, but the $CO_2$ disappeared from $950^{\circ}C$. 2. X-ray diffraction showed the tooth ash was mainly composed of hydroxyapatite and a small amount of - white lockite. But phase transformation was not disclosed. 3. The microstructure of the sintered specimens of the ashed tooth powder was of no difference in the structure and grain size accompanying the ashed temperature, but sintering ability seemed to be the best in the specimen incinerated at $950^{\circ}C$. 4. There was good wettability in the mixed sintered specimens of the ashed tooth powder and the porcelain powder. 5. The compressive strength of the sintered specimens of the tooth ash incinerated at $950^{\circ}C$ was the highest with $589.75kg/cm^2$ and the porosity and the absorption were the lowest as well. 6. The mixed sintered specimens of the tooth ash and porcelain powder was good in the physical properties in the case of mixed weight ratio of 6:4. 7. The animal fibroblast cultures with porcelain showed increase in the cell number, whereas the tooth ash showed a small degree of growth inhibition. But the difference of cell multiplication efficiency between control cultures and test cultures with tooth ash was not observed.

A rapid and very sensitive high-performance liquid chromatography/atmospheric-pressure chemical-ionization mass spectrometry method to detect ethylenethiourea (ETU) fungicide residues in fruits was developed. Methylene chloride was used as the surface extraction solvent for the target component. Recovery rates improved when cysteine hydrochloride and sodium carbonate were added to product prior to fortification. The limits of detection and quantification were approximately 0.006 and 0.02 mg/kg, respectively, from mandarin oranges. Recoveries from mandarin oranges, oranges, bananas, and pears, spiked in the range of 0.05-0.5 mg/kg, averaged 80-100%. The proposed method was used to monitor the presence of ETU in commercial fruits purchased from different markets in Seoul, Korea. ETU was found in four orange peels and in three mandarin orange peel samples. The highest ETU residue levels were $73.6{\mu}g/kg$ and $29.8{\mu}g/kg$.

The aim of this study was to find the factors related to smoking-cessation among citizens receiving smoking-cessation clinics' services in a public health center in Daejeon metropolitan city. The study subjects were 2,125 participants registered in "smoking-cessation clinic", public health centers in 2007. Frequency analysis, chi-squared test and multiple logistic regression analysis were used to determine the relationships between the success rate of smoking-cessation and the characteristics. The success rate of smoking-cessation during 6 months was 39.8%. Males had a higher rate than females, and people over 65 years of age had a higher rate than those less than 40 years of age. High blood pressure, drinking of more 2 times per week, regular exercise, CO under 10ppm had significantly relationships with the smoking-cessation rate. The other independent variables had no statistically significance with the smoking-cessation success rate. Logistic regression analysis showed that age, number of nicotine patches used and total consultation times had significantly relationships with the smoking-cessation success rate. The total consultation times showed the highest odds ratio than the other significant factors. This study suggests that regular consultations will be the most effective intervention towards maintaining smoking cessation programs of smoking-cessation clinics in public health centers.

This study is to stabilize insoluble and unstable active ingredient which is Idebenone (INCI name: hydroxydecyl ubiquinone) in a multi-lamellar vesicle (MLV) and to stabilize it in the skin care cosmetics. Idebenone is good effective raw material in the treatment of Alzheimer's disease in the medical field and a powerful antioxidant in dermatology. It is well known as a substance that inhibits the formation of melanin and cleans the skin pigment. However, it did not dissolve in any solvent and it was difficult to apply in cosmetic applications. Niosome vesicle was able to develop a nano-particle by making a multi-layer of idebenone encapsulated with a nonionic surfactant, hydrogenated lecithin and glycine soja (soybean) sterols and passing it through a high pressure microfluidizer. Idebenone niosome vesicle (INV) has been developed to have the ability to dissolve transparently in water and to promote transdermal penetration. The appearance of the INV was a yellowish liquid having specific odor, and the particle size distribution of INV was about 10~80 nm. The pH was 5~8 (mean=6.8). This capsulation with idebenone was stored in a $45^{\circ}C$ incubator for 3 months and its stability was observed and quantitatively measured by HPLC. As a result, the stability of the sample encapsulated in the niosome vesicle (97.5%) was about 66.3% higher than that of the non-capsule sample of 32.5%. Idebenone 1% INV was used for the efficacy test and clinical trial evaluation as follows. The anti-oxidative activity of INV was 38.2%, which was superior to that of 12.8% tocopherol (control). The melanin-reducing effect of B16 melanoma cells was better than INV (17.4%) and Albutin (control) (9.6%). Pro-collagen synthesis rate was 128.2% for INV and 89.3% for tocopherol (control). The skin moisturizing effect was 15.5% better than the placebo sample. The elasticity effect was 9.7% better than the placebo sample. As an application field, INV containing 1% of idebenone is expected to be able to develop various functional cosmetic formulations such as skin toner, ampoule essence, cream, eye cream and sunblock cream. In addition, it is expected that this encapsulated material will be widely applicable to emulsifying agents for skin use in the pharmaceutical industry as well as the cosmetics industry.

Because the water exposed to shock waves caused by an underwater explosion cannot withstand the appreciable tension induced by the change in both pressure and velocity, the surrounding water is cavitated. This cavitating water changes the transferring circumstance of the shock loading. Three phenomena contribute to hull-plate damage; initial shock loading and its interaction with the hull plate, local cavitation, and local cavitation closure then shock reloading. Because the main concern of this paper is local cavitation due to a near-field underwater explosion, the water surface and the waves reflected from the sea bottom were not considered. A set of governing equations for the structure and the fluid were derived. A simple one-dimensional infinite plate problem was considered to verify this uncoupled solution approach compared with the analytic solution, which is well known in this area of interest. The uncoupled solution approach herein would be useful for obtaining a relatively high level of accuracy despite its simplicity and high computational efficiency compared to the conventional coupled method. This paper will help improve the understanding of fluid-structure interaction phenomena and provide a schematic explanation of the practical problem.

경우 서비스 이용을 제한할 수 있습니다.
- 2년 이상 서비스를 이용한 적이 없는 경우
- 기타 정상적인 서비스 운영에 방해가 될 경우
② 상기 이용제한 규정에 따라 서비스를 이용하는 회원에게 서비스 이용에 대하여 별도 공지 없이 서비스 이용의
일시정지, 이용계약 해지 할 수 있습니다.
제 17 조 (전자우편주소 수집 금지)
회원은 전자우편주소 추출기 등을 이용하여 전자우편주소를 수집 또는 제3자에게 제공할 수 없습니다.
제 6 장 손해배상 및 기타사항
제 18 조 (손해배상)
당 사이트는 무료로 제공되는 서비스와 관련하여 회원에게 어떠한 손해가 발생하더라도 당 사이트가 고의 또는 과실로 인한 손해발생을 제외하고는 이에 대하여 책임을 부담하지 아니합니다.
제 19 조 (관할 법원)
서비스 이용으로 발생한 분쟁에 대해 소송이 제기되는 경우 민사 소송법상의 관할 법원에 제기합니다.
[부 칙]
1. (시행일) 이 약관은 2016년 9월 5일부터 적용되며, 종전 약관은 본 약관으로 대체되며, 개정된 약관의 적용일 이전 가입자도 개정된 약관의 적용을 받습니다.
