This paper examines degradation properties of alkali-activated alumino-silicate composite body by NAS solution exposed to high temperature. Activators include sodium hydroxides and sodium silicate solution. In the result of experiment, flexural and compressive strength of AAS base mortar exposed to high temperature ($400\~600^{\circ}C$) was higher than alumina cement base mortar. Particularly, In case of compressive strength, alumina cement base mortar was decreased by about $60\~70\%$. While, AAS base mortar exposed to high temperature ($400\~600^{\circ}C$) was higher than that curing by room temperature. The above results showed that AAS base inorganic binder has a good mechanical properties exposed to high temperature($400\~600$).

A reliable tensile test technique for PDP's barrier rib materials was introduced. A tensile specimen was prepared by punching out of green sheet, curing the specimen in a high temperature furnace, attaching sand paper tabs on each grip ends, and then attaching two strain gages for the strain monitoring and specimen alignment. Preliminary tensile tests were successfully done with the specimens made from ZnO-based lead-free green sheet. The specimens cured at 3 different maximum curing temperatures were tested to demonstrate the applicability of the test method. The Young's modulus was 88 ${\pm}$ 4 GPa regardless of the maximum curing temperature. The ultimate tensile strength was decreased with increasing the temperature. The tensile test method proposed in this study was proven to be reliable, useful and easy to estimate the bulk mechanical properties of barrier rib materials.
The production of ultra-early-strength concrete (UESC) traditionally involves complexity or necessitates high-temperature curing conditions. However, this study aimed to achieve ultra-early-strength performance solely through room-temperature curing. Experimental results demonstrate that under room-temperature (28℃) curing conditions, the concrete attained compressive strengths of 20 MPa at 4 hours and 69.6 MPa at 24 hours. Additionally, it exhibited a flexural strength of 7.5 MPa after 24 hours. In contrast, conventional concrete typically reaches around 20.6 MPa (3,000 psi) after approximately 28 days, highlighting the rapid strength development of the UESC. This swift attainment of compressive strength represents a significant advancement for engineering purposes. Small amounts of steel fibers (0.5% and 1% by volume, respectively) were added to address potential concrete cracking due to early hydration heat and enhance mechanical properties. This allowed observation of the effects of different volume contents on ultra-early-strength fiber-reinforced concrete (UESFRC). Furthermore, the compressive strength of 0.5% and 1% UESFRC increased by 16.3% and 31.3%, respectively, while the flexural strength increased by 37.1% and 47.9%. Moreover, toughness increased by 58.2 and 69.7 times, respectively. These findings offer an effective solution for future emergency applications in public works.
Geopolymer is an alumina silicate-based ceramic material that has good heat-resistance and fire-resistance; it can be cured at room temperature, and thus its manufacturing process is simple. Geopolymer can be used as a reinforcement or floor finish for high-speed curing applications. In this manuscript, we investigate a high-speed curing geopolymer achieved by adding calcium to augment the curing rate. Metakaolin is used as the main raw material, and aqueous solutions of KOH and $K_2SiO_3$ are used as the activators. As a result of optimizing the high bending strength as a target factor for geopolymers with $SiO_2/Al_2O_3$ ratio of 4.1 ~ 4.8, the optimum ranges of the active agent are found to be $0.1{\leq}K_2O/SiO_2{\leq}0.4$ and $10{\leq}H_2O/K_2O{\leq}32.5$, and the optimum range of the curing accelerator is found to be $$0.82{\leq_-}Ca(OH)_2/Al_2O_3{\leq_-}2.87$$. The maximum flexural strength is found to be 1.35 MPa at $Ca(OH)_2/Al_2O_3=2.82$, $K_2O/SiO_2=0.3$, and $H_2O/K_2O=11.3$. The physical and thermal properties are analyzed to validate the applicability of these materials as industrial insulating parts or repairing finishing materials in construction.
The objectives of this study was to evaluate current visible light curing units regarding microhardness and microleakage. Fourty samples of composite resin(Z-250, 3M) were cured by different light curing units (Flipo, LOKKI; Credi II, 3M; XL 3000, 3M: Optilux 500, Demetron) in acrylic blocks. Microhardness was measured using a calibrated Vickers indenter on both top and bottom surfaces after 24 hours of storage in air at room temperature. Class V cavities were prepared on buccal and lingual surfaces of fourty extracted human molars. Each margin was on enamel and dentin/cementum. Composite resin(Z-250, 3M) was filled in cavities and cured by four different light curing units (Flipo, LOKKl; Credi II, 3M; XL 3000, 3M: Optilux 500, Demetron). The results of this syudy were as follows: Microhardness 1. Flipo showed low microhardness compared to Optilux 500, Credi II significantly in upper surface. Flipo didn't show a significant difference compared to XL 3000. 2. The microhardness resulting from curing with Flipo was lower than that of others on lower surfaces. Microleakage 1. Dentin margin showed significantly high dye penetration rate than enamel margin in all groups(p<0.05). 2. No significant differences were found on both enamel and dentin margin regarding curing units.
This study was conducted to investigate the influence of air temperature and relative humidity on excessive drying rate of burley tobacco. In experiment I, 4 temperatures and I humidity by day and air curing by night were treated from initial curing stage. In experiment II, 15 combinations of 3 temperatures and 5 humidities were applied from the yellow stage of cure. Yellowish cured leaves resulted from overdrying at high temperature and especially, at low humidity. How- ever, these were not produced at 75-80% RH and under 35$^{\circ}C$ by day with air curing b y night. The proper range of temperature and humidity for desirable color of cured leaf were the combinations of 30$^{\circ}C$, 75-80% RH or 35$^{\circ}C$, 80-85% RH. As excessive drying leaves increased, physical properties of cured leaves were poorer and chemical contents were less decomposed.
In this study, the thermo-rheological behaivors of petroleum pitches with different softening points were studied, and a B-stage phenolic resins/petroleum pitches blends were prepared by adding petroleum pitches to the phenolic resins. As a result, the petroleum pitch with different softening points decreased the fluidity of the petroleum pitch as the Quinoline insoluble (QI) content increased and showed the viscous properties of the solid. In addition, the effect of adding petroleum pitches having different softening points on the thermo-rheological properties of phenolic resins was investigated. When petroleum pitch with a high softening point was added, the fluidity of the phenolic resin was reduced, and the hardening behavior was fast. It was possible to control the curing rate and curing behavior of the phenolic resin by adding petroleum pitches of different softening points. Among them, the phenolic resin mixture to which P-Pitch 2 was added has a higher fluidity than other blends under the same curing temperature condition.

The objective of the present study is to evaluate a practical approach for enhancing the compressive strength and minimizing deforming of aerated concrete. Test results measured in the aerated concrete mixes that were produced using 40% ground granulated blast-furnace slag (GGBS) as a replacement of cement and cured under different conditions (i.e., high temperatures of $40^{\circ}C$ and $60^{\circ}C$ for 10 hrs or 15 hrs) were compared with those obtained from the specimens cured under room temperature. No deforming was observed in the mixes with 40% GGBS. The compressive strength of the prepared aerated concrete cured under high temperature was higher than that of the concrete cured at room temperature, even at the lower ranges of the apparent dry density. However, the curing time is needed to be controlled as not exceeding 10 hrs at the temperature of $60^{\circ}C$ to prevent the decrease in the compressive strength due to foam mergences.

High-performance concrete (HPC) may be expected to differ from usual concrete with respect to shrinkage behavior, and it shows high autogenous shrinkage due to the use of very low water-binder ratio (w/b) and various admixtures. Therefore, in order to minimize the shrinkage stress and to ensure the service life of concrete structure, volumetric change of HPC should be understood. In this study, small prisms made of HPC with w/b of 0.32 and blast-furnace slag content of $0\%,\;30\%,\;and\;50\%$ were prepared to measure the volumetric changes such as autogenous shrinkage, drying shrinkage, and swelling under three different curing conditions. It was observed that the concrete cured. sealed condition showed only autogenous shrinkage while the concrete let to dry condition at temperature of $20^{\circ}C$ and relative humidity of $60\%$ during the test period showed both autogenous and drying shrinkage. Moreover, the concrete exposed to dry condition after 2-day water curing swelled and then started to shrink with age. The total shrinkage (autogenous+drying) of this concrete was smaller than that of the concrete cured dry condition, especially at early-age. Therefore, the early-age moisture curing is very effective to control or minimize the volumetric change and its induced stress of HPC.
A comparative study using electron-beam(EB) and thermal curing techniques was carried out to determine the effect of cure behavior and thermal stability of epoxy resins. In this work, benzylquinoxalinium hexafluoroantimonate(BQH) was used as a latent cationic catalyst for an epoxy resin. According to the thermogravimetric analysis(TGA), the decomposed activation energy based on Coats-Redfern method was higher in the case of thermal curing technique. This could be interpreted in terms of slow thermal diffusion rate resulted from high crosslink density of the thermally cured epoxy resin. However, the increase of hydroxyl group in the epoxy resin cured by EB technique was observed in near-infrared spectroscopy(NIRS) measurements, resulting in improving the stable short aromatic chain structure, integral procedural decomposition temperature, and finally ductile properties for high impact strengths.
