With the broad adoption of the Internet of Things (IoT) in a variety of scenarios and application services, management and orchestration entities require upgrading the traditional architecture and develop intelligent models with ultra-reliable methods. In a heterogeneous network environment, mission-critical IoT applications are significant to consider. With erroneous priorities and high failure rates, catastrophic losses in terms of human lives, great business assets, and privacy leakage will occur in emergent scenarios. In this paper, an efficient resource slicing scheme for optimizing federated learning in software-defined IoT (SDIoT) is proposed. The decentralized support vector regression (SVR) based controllers predict the IoT slices via packet inspection data during peak hour central congestion to achieve a time-sensitive condition. In off-peak hour intervals, a centralized deep neural networks (DNN) model is used within computation-intensive aspects on fine-grained slicing and remodified decentralized controller outputs. With known slice and prioritization, federated learning communications iteratively process through the adjusted resources by virtual network functions forwarding graph (VNFFG) descriptor set up in software-defined networking (SDN) and network functions virtualization (NFV) enabled architecture. To demonstrate the theoretical approach, Mininet emulator was conducted to evaluate between reference and proposed schemes by capturing the key Quality of Service (QoS) performance metrics.

OGC(Open GIS Consortium) suggests the 'OpenGIS Simple Feature Specification for CORBA' which is the OpenGIS implementation specification for CORBA to specify standard interfaces for reuse and interoperation among distributed heterogeneous GIS resources in the CORBA distributed computing environment. An OpenGIS server that supports this implementation specification moat correctly implement all interfaces defined in the OpenGIS implementation specification to be interoperable with wrapped GISs efficiently. In this paper, we have designed and implemented an OpenGIS server based an object relational GIS, called GEUS that integrates GIS and database technologies to provide spatial data types and spatial operators from the DBMS engine level. In the CORBA distributed computing environment, clients can access geospatial data stored in GIS wrapped by the OpenGIS server through the standard interfaces defined in the OpenGIS implementation specification for CORBA. In addition, clients can use geospatial operation features provided by a back-end GIS and interoperate with other GISs.

As R&D(Research and Development) is going on actively to develop technologies for the ubiquitous computing environment, which Is the human-oriented future computing environment, GIS dealing with spatio-temporal data is emerging as a promising technology. This also increases the necessity of the middleware for providing services to give interoperability in various heterogeneous environments. The core technologies of the middleware are real-time processing technology of data streams coming unceasingly from positioning systems and data stream processing technology developed for non-spatio-temporal data. However, it has problems in processing queries on spatio-temporal data efficiently. Accordingly, this paper designed and implemented the spatio-temporal middleware that provides interoperability between a mobile spatio-temporal DBMS(DataBase Management System) and a server spatio-temporal MMDBMS(Main Memory DataBase Management System). The spatio-temporal middleware maintains interoperability among heterogeneous devices and guarantees data integrity in query processing through real-time processing of unceasing spatio-temporal data streams and two way synchronization of spatio-temporal DBMSs. In addition, it manages session for the connection of each spatio-temporal DBMS and manages resources for its stable operation. Finally, this paper proved the usability of the spatio-temporal middleware by applying it to a real-time position tracking system.
Although the proliferation of real-time multimedia services over the Internet might indicate its successfulness in dealing with heterogeneous environments, it is obvious, on the other hand, that the internet now has to cope with a flood of multimedia data which consumes most of network communication channels due to a great deal of video or audio streams. Therefore, for the purpose of an efficient and appropriate utilization of network resources, it requires to develop and deploy a new scalable transmission technique n consideration of respective network environment and individual clients computing power. Also, we can eliminate the waste effects of storage device and data transmission overhead in that the same video stream duplicated according to QoS. The purpose of this paper is to develop a technology that can adjust the amount of data transmitted as an MPEG video stream according to its given communication bandwidth, and technique that can reflect dynamic bandwidth while playing a video stream. For this purpose, we introduce a media scalable media decomposer working on server side, and a scalable media composer working o n a client side, and then propose a scalable transmission method and a media sender and a media receiver in consideration of dynamic QoS. Those methods proposed her can facilitate an effective use of network resources, and provide multimedia MPEG video services in real-time with respect to individual client computing environment.
An overlay network is a virtual network which is constructed on top of a physical computer network. A node in the overlay network is connected through virtual or logical links, where each link corresponds to a path of the links in the underlying physical network. Overlay networks are suitable for sharing heterogeneous resources in distributed environments, However, overlay networks are limited for achieving reliable communication that failure detection in overlay networks is a very important issue. In this paper, we review conditions of conventional failure detection and propose a new approach to failure detection and resilience which can be applied to HRing (Hierarchical Ring) overlay networks. The proposed method consists of the failure detection and the failure resilience phases. Because it utilizes the characteristics of the HRing overlay network for failure detection, it can reduce unnecessary network traffic and provide better scalability and flexibility. We also analyzed and evaluated the performance of the proposed approach through simulations.
In this paper, the prototype of haptic-based NVE (networked virtual environment) QoE (quality of experience) is proposed. The proposed framework plays a role of providing users with realistic feeling by managing the system and network resources efficiently under time-varying networks and heterogeneous systems. Therefore, first IoPH (importance of presence for haptic interaction) is defined to quantitate the sense of real that the users feel now. Then we define the haptic-based NVE components required to satisfy the haptic interaction QoE requirements. Finally, QoE adaptation scheme is suggested, which adapts the haptic-based NVE components to current network and system constraints for better haptic interaction quality.
The majority of event detection in real-time embedded sensor network systems is based on data fusion that uses noisy sensor data collected from complicated real-world environments. Current research has produced several excellent low-level mechanisms to collect sensor data and perform aggregation. However, solutions that enable these systems to provide real-time data processing using readings from heterogeneous sensors and subsequently detect complex events of interest in real-time fashion need further research. We are developing real-time event detection approaches which allow light-weight data fusion and do not require significant computing resources. Underlying the event detection framework is a collection of real-time monitoring and fusion mechanisms that are invoked upon the arrival of sensor data. The combination of these mechanisms and the framework has the potential to significantly improve the timeliness and reduce the resource requirements of embedded sensor networks. In addition to that, we discuss about a privacy that is foundation technique for trusted embedded sensor network system and explain anonymization technique to ensure privacy.

A variety of communications are developed and advanced by integration of wireless and wire connections with heterogeneous system. Traditional technologies are mainly focus on information technology based on computer techniques in the field of industry, manufacture and automation fields. As new technologies are developed and enhanced with traditional techniques, a lot of new applications are emerged and merged with existing mechanism and skills. The representative applications are IoT(Internet of Things) services and applications. IoT is breakthrough technologies and one of the innovation industries which are called 4 generation industry revolution. Due to limited resources in IoT such as small memory, low power and computing power, IoT devices are vulnerable and disclosed with security problems. In this paper, we reviewed and analyzed security challenges, threats and requirements under IoT service.
OSGi technology has applied to Home Network, but now it is loaded into even heterogeneous devices in various domains. Therefore, it is necessary to cooperate with each other framework for offering effective services in distributed OSGi frameworks. However until now, OSGi specification doesn't provide any methodthat can share the services registered on remote OSGi frameworks. In order to solve this problem, there have been several researches that used existing distributed middleware technologies such as JXTA and Web Services. However these technologies have some weakness, that is, they consume lots of computing resources and need additional process to transform the services. A middleware called R-OSGi uses only OSGi technology for sharing remote OSGi services, but R-OSGi may have a communication bottleneck and SPOF (Single Point of Failure) problem, because it has a central service registry. In this paper we present RSP (Remote Service Provider), which is a P2P-based effective service sharing scheme on distributed OSGi framework. RSP doesn't need to install additional software nor have the additional transformation process of the service representation, because it uses only OSGi technology. In addition it doesn't have any bottleneck problem and improves scalability by providing the service discovery mechanism using P2P. RSP can also access remote services transparently and it can guarantee reliability by sending an immediate notice about changes of the remote services.
