  • The purpose of this study was to present the possible use of a new standard impactor, the rubber ball (so-called, impact ball), and to assess its evaluation method as fur heavy-weight impact in multi-story residential buildings. Several experiments were carried out to investigate the effect of the impactor on noise propagation in reinforced concrete buildings. 인공경량골재로 제조된 콘크리트 패널의 물성 (Properties of Concrete Panel Made by Light Weight Aggregates)

  • 국내에서는 최근 구조물 증축에 필요한 경량골재를 중국 및 일본 등에서 수입해 사용하고 있는 실정이고, 환경오염에 대한 관심 또한 고조되면서 폐기물의 처리, 처분 문제가 심각하게 대두되고 있다. 이에 순수 국내 기술로 폐기물과 점토질 원료를 습식혼합, 로터리 킬른에서 소성하여 인공경량골재를 제조한 후 기본 물성을 평가하였고 경량콘크리트에 적용하여 강도특성을 고찰하였다. 인공경량골재의 절건비중은 1.4~1.7, 흡수율은 13~16%이었으며, 파쇄율은 약 30~55%로 강자갈이나 쇄석과 비교하여 10% 이상 높은 수치를 나타내었고 파쇄 형상에서도 차이를 보였다. 골재를 2mm 이하로 분쇄하여 TCLP 용출시험 후 추출된 여액을 ICP-AES로 분석한 결과, 검출한계 이하 또는 용출량 기준치 이하로 용출되었다. 제조된 인공경량골재를 사용한 경량콘크리트 공시체를 제작하여 슬럼프, 압축강도, 휨파괴변형 특성을 시험하였다. 시험 결과, 인공골재 치환율 30vo1%, 물시멘트비 45wt%인 공시체에서의 슬럼프 및 압축강도 특성이 가장 우수하였다. 경량골재 콘크리트의 슬럼프 및 압축강도 시험결과를 통해 도출된 최적배합을 바탕으로 경량콘크리트 패널을 제작하여 단열 및 차음특성을 시험한 결과, 평균 열관류율은 3.293W/$m^2$$^{\circ}C$로 쇄석콘크리트에 비해 약 15% 우수하였으며, 음향투과손실은 500Hz에서 50.9㏈로 기준치를 약 13% 상회하는 결과를 보였다.

폐타이어 칩의 바닥충격음 차단성능에 관한 실험적 연구 (The Experimental Study on the Impact Sound Insulation Floors due to Waste Tire Chip)

  • This study aims to present proper thickness of resilient mount and pattern of chips for the improvement of impact sound isolation. To achieve this aim, field tests were performed to evaluate the performance of impact sound isolation of pilot samples using waste tire chips against light and heavy-weight impacter, which samples were installed over concrete slabs of an apartment housing. In this study, the experiments were performed by the impact sound level of floors in KS F 2810 "Method for field measurement of floor impact level". As results, a flooring structure using waste tire chips as a resilient mount, with no relation to chip's types, has enhanced performance by 1~2 degree in light impact sound isolation, while it has improvement in heavy impact sound isolation. And fiber-type chips have better performance than granule-type ones when they overlaid concrete slab with 15~20 mm of thickness. For the improvement of impact sound isolation, it is recommended that insulating materials should be applied at joints between floating floors and walls, or floating floors and a doorframes, and also waterproof papers should be used for the effective thickness of resilient mount.ent mount.

  • This study is about development of inorganic insulation material using by-product materials. The organic material is due to toxic gas emission, when a fire occurs. And it has lower water resistance. The inorganic material is heavy and worse thermal performance than organic materials.   • Stormwater pollution is a major problem in urban areas. Pollutants like heavy metals and harmful chemicals in the runoff can endanger soil and ground water, when they are not sufficiently removed doting infiltration. Strength and infiltration capacity of porous concrete are the major problems that must be considered if permeable pavement system are demanded to be used in a drive way application. In this study, a series of compacted porous concrete mixtures and the system of pavement ate tested for the physical characteristics like compressive strength, flexural strength, unit weight, porosity, water permeability, and the purification capacity of contaminated water. The test results obtained indicate that the strength and infiltration capacity of porous concrete are strongly related to its matrix proportion and compaction energy and providing adequate filter layers underneath pavement surface course is one of the most important design considerations of permeable pavement system for pollution retention purpose.

수중불분리성 콘크리트의 장기강도 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Long age Strength Properties of Antiwashout Underwater Concrete)

  • The objective of this study is to find the long-age strength property and the compressive strength of age which is used as the specified concrete strength. The W/W ratio (45%, 50%, 55%, 60%) fine aggregate of useful river sand or blended sand(river sane : sea sand=1:1) were chosen as the experimental parameters. the experimental results show that pH(it means the material segregation resistance) & suspension were increased larger, so W/C become larger, and slump flow was increased as W/C increased (except W/C=60%), air-contents were decreased as W/C became increase and all of this results are satisfied with the under of 40%. The compressive strength ( a case use only river sand as fine aggregate) is showed less than the case of blended asnd. Because the unit weight of the blended sand is more heavy than the unit weigh of the river sand. The results of the case which haven been used only river sand, and the case have been used blended sand), both case have considered W/C. So it's possible to use the compressive strength of age 28 day like the case of plain concrete.

Conceptual design of ultra-high performance fiber reinforced concrete nuclear waste container

  • This research presents a structural design of high-level waste (HLW) container using ultra-high performance fiber reinforced concrete (UHP-FRC) material. The proposed design aims to overcome the drawbacks of the existing concrete containers which are heavy, difficult to fabricate, and expensive. In this study, the dry storage container (DSC) that commonly used at Canadian Nuclear facilities is selected to present the proposed design. The design has been performed such that the new UHP-FRC alternative has a structural stiffness equivalent to the existing steel-concrete-steel container under various loading scenarios. Size optimization technique is used with the aim of maximizing stiffness, and minimizing the cost while satisfying both the design stresses and construction requirements. Then, the integrity of the new design has been evaluated against accidental drop-impact events based on realistic drop scenarios. The optimization results showed: the stiffness of the UHP-FRC container (300 mm wall thick) is being in the range of 1.35-1.75 times the stiffness of existing DSC (550 mm wall thick). The use of UHP-FRC leads to decrease the container weight by more than 60%. The UHP-FRC container showed a significant enhancement in performance in comparison to the existing DSC design under considered accidental drop impact scenarios.

ALC(Autoclaved Light-weight Concrete)를 이용한 생물학적 반응벽체에 관한 연구

  • The physical and chemical characteristics of ALC were analyzed and showed 2.2 of specific gravity and 9.05 of pH. The results of leaching tests with standard method for soil and waste indicated heavy metals(Cu, Cd, Pb, $Cr^{6+}$) were under maximum concentration level. The anaerobic digestion sludge was attached in the surface of ALC within 90 hours. As the results of batch test, pH of the ALC and Bio-ALC were decreased from initial pH of ALC to 8.7 and 7.8 respectively Also, the concentration of heavy metals was rapidly eliminated in the solution with the batch test. The result of column experiment indicates that the removal efficiency of ALC was showed 66% of T-P, 60% of T-N, and 67% of CODcr. Also, removal efficiency of Bio-ALC was slightly higher than that of ALC in T-N (64%) and CODcr (74%).

포장강성을 고려한 콘크리트 포장하부 공동유무 평가방법 (A Method for Evaluation of Hollow Existence in Sublayers of Concrete Pavement Considering Pavement Stiffness)

  • PURPOSES: The existing method evaluating the existence of the hollows in concrete pavement does not consider the stiffness of pavement. In addition, the method uses unreasonable logic judging the hollow existence by the deflection caused by zero loading. In this study, the deflection of slab corner due to heavy weight deflectometer (HWD) was measured in concrete pavement sections where underground structures are located causing the hollows around them. METHODS: The modulus of subgrade reaction obtained by comparing the actual deflection of slab to the result of finite element analysis was calibrated into the composite modulus of subgrade reaction. The radius of relative stiffness was calculated, and the relationship between the ratio of HWD load to the radius of relative stiffness and the slab deflection was expressed as the curve of secondary degree. RESULTS: The trends of the model coefficients showing width and maximum value of the curve of secondary degree were analyzed by categorizing the pavement sections into three groups : hollows exist, additional investigation is necessary, and hollows do not exist. CONCLUSIONS: The results analyzed by the method developed in this study was compared to the results analyzed by existing method. The model developed in this study will be verified by analyzing the data obtained in other sections with different pavement structure and materials.

  • Finite element method was applied to the vibration analysis of concrete slab system in apartment building. To save the time and cost the 2 dimensional finite element model was proposed. At first, experimental results show that sound peak components to influence the overall level and the rating of floor impact sound insulation were coincident with natural frequencies of the reinforced concrete slab. Second, there is linear relationship between the impact sound pressure level and vibration acceleration level. Third, 2 dimensional finite element model was enough to analyze the vibration analysis of floor structure system.
