Frictionally Excited Thermoelastoplastic instability in sliding contact system (미끄러짐 마찰 접촉하는 시스템에서의 열탄소성 불안정성 연구)

  • A transient finite element simulation is developed for the two-dimensional stationary elastoplastic layer between sliding layers, to investigate thermoelastoplastic instability(TEPI) due to frictional heating in the material. The analysis will show some differences between the case of thermoelastic instability and TEPI, especially according to the contact pressure above yield stress. A transient behavior of contact pressure is captured to explain the behavior of thermoplasticity of contact with different sliding velocity. The instability of contact pressure in the long range of braking time will be explored to understand the generation mechanism of hot spots.

  • The metallurgical and mechanical experiments of Titanium frame were conducted to investigate the optimum brazing and the improved brazed joints by filler metals has been developed by using other filler metals at brazing process. The filler metal is used in form of a metallic glass. The optimum brazing conditions were obtained from microstructural observation of brazed joints chemical analysis by means of X-ray micro-analysis and heating method.

  • The cordierite(2 MgO, $2Al_2O_3$, $5SiO_2$) is of great interest for microelectronic substrate of multilayer intergrated circuits. The metal used in this study was copper, and metal layer is fabricatedon the cordierite substrate by the screen printing method. We studied the adhesion properties of the interfaces due to the different cosintering conditions. When cosintering in the $Ar+H_2O$ gas, the adhesion is very good. Specially heating rate is very important factor for the adhesion.

  • A blind system for window glass has been designed and manufactured as a CapStone Design project at Seoul National University of Science and Technology. This system automatically controls the interior illuminance to maintain a uniform temperature. The aim of this project was to support an air conditioning system and heating equipment to maintain a good indoor environment. Proportional integral differential (PID) control using cadmium sulfide (CdS) sensors was applied to control it. Polaroid film was attached to the new blind system to reflect sunlight. It was found that the system had the potential to reduce energy consumption and may be used with a building energy management system (BEMS).

  • The flow characteristics under recirculation cool vent mode is numerically studied using commercial fluid dynamic code(CFX). For the reliable analysis, real vehicle and human FE model is employed in grid generation process. The geometrical location and shape of panel vent, and exhaust vent is set as that of real vehicle model. The flowrate of the working fluid is determined as 330CMH which is equivalent to 70 percent of maximum capacity of HVAC system. The high velocity regions are formed around 4 each panel vent. Because of the non-symmetrically located exhaust, non-uniform flow and partial backflow near the door trim is observed. Streaklines start from each panel vent show the flow pattern of the airflow in the passenger's compartment very well.

  • Phase transition of the Lennard-Jonesian binary system with a free surface was studied by employing molecular dynamics simulation. The main focus of this study was to investigate the effect of size misfit and solute concentration on phase transition during heating and quenching. For a binary system with a free surface, the melting point and the critical quenching rate decrease as size misfit and solute concentration increase.

  • This study aims to build basic data for a optimization of a ventilation system for indoor environment improvement in school building. To this end, we conducted field tests and computation fluid dynamics simulations about a indoor environment in dependence on operation of a ceiling type inverter air conditioner and ventilation system. The results could be summarized as follows. (1) For the ventilation system of 350CMH, 500CMH and 850CMH, reduction of each $CO_2$ concentration was measured 662ppm, 748ppm and 526ppm. (2) A optimal discharge angle of the ceiling type inverter air conditioner system was evaluated 45 degree in heating and cooling.

  • The purpose of this study was to investigate Green Roof System's thermal performance using dynamic heat load simulation programs related to architectural environment. In results, it is found out that the thermal performance of Green Roof System is stabler than that of roof slab system which means that it is possible to create pleasant indoor environment and save the heating and cooling load.

  • 유도가열은 전자기 유도 현상을 이용하여 금속체를 직접 가열하는 방식이며 높은 변환 효율로 전기에너지를 열에너지로 변환할 있다. 이로 인해 금속의 단조, 용해, 표면경화, 풀림 등 여러 응용분야를 통해 철강 및 기계 산업에 기여하고 있다. 단조용 유도가열기 전원장치는 높은 전력용량을 사용하여 주로 SCR을 이용한 위상제어 정류기를 적용한다. 하지만 입력단의 저 역률 및 전류의 THD가 높은 단점을 가진다. 따라서 본 논문에서는 이러한 단점을 보안하기 위해 단조용 유도가열 작업에 맞는 인터리브드 방식의 벅 컨버터와 전류원 인버터를 사용한 고효율 유도가열 전원장치를 제안한다.
