In the present study, the effects of various heat treatments on the microstructure and mechanical properties of dual phase ODS steels were investigated to enhance the high strength at elevated temperature. Dual phase ODS steels have been designed by the control of ferrite and austenite formers, i.e., Cr, W and Ni, C in Fe-based alloys. The ODS steels were fabricated by mechanical alloying and a hot isostatic pressing process. Heat treatments, including hot rolling-tempering and normalizing-tempering with air- and furnace-cooling, were carefully carried out. It was revealed that the grain size and oxide distributions of the ODS steels can be changed by heat treatment, which significantly affected the strengths at elevated temperature. Therefore, the high temperature strength of dual phase ODS steel can be enhanced by a proper heat treatment process with a good combination of ferrite grains, nano-oxide particles, and grain boundary sliding.
Heat treatment conditions and the formation of microstructures were studied for improving the transformation-induced plasticity(TRIP) effect of retained austenite and mechanical properties of Fe-0.2%C-1.5%Si-1.5%Mn sheet steel. An excellent combination of elongation about 30% and high strength over 760MPa was achieved by processing of intercritical annealing and isothermal holding Intercritical annealing the sheet steel produced fine particles($1{\sim}2{\mu}m$) of retained austenite which were stabilized due to C enrichment by subsequent holding in bainite transformation range. Heat treatment conditions were depended on the shape and distribution of second phases as well as the volume fraction and stability of retained austenrte. In this work, the heat treatment condition of optimal strength-elongation balance was obtained by holding the steel at $400^{\circ}C$ for 200sec, after intercritical annealing at $790^{\circ}C$ for 300sec.
There is a growing interest to replace the commercial steels with non-heat treated steels, which does not involve the spheroidization and quenching-tempering treatment. However, Non-heat treated steels should satisfy high strength and good formability without performing heat treatment. Therefore, it is important to investigate optimum materials showing a good combination of strength and formability after the drawing process. In this study, Dual-Phase Steels were studied as candidate materials for non-heat treated steels, which have different martensite morphologies and volume fractions obtained through heat-treatment of intercritical quenching (IcQ), intermediate quenching (ImQ) and step quenching (SQ). The mechanical properties of DP steels were measured by tension and compression tests. Also, the cold formability of three DP steels which have similar tensile strength value was investigated by estimating the deformation resistance and the forming limit. The deformation resistance which is important factor in determining die life was estimated by calculating the deformation energy. And the forming limit was estimated by measuring the critical strain revealing crack initiation at the notch tip of the specimens.
The study has been carried out to investigate of the Contact dermatitis by referring to 37 literature. The results were as follows; 1. In oriental medical science, Contact dermatitis is belong to the cartegory of the 'Chilchang(漆瘡)', 'Honyoja(狐尿刺)', 'Bunhwachang(粉花瘡)', 'Goyakpoong(膏藥風)', 'Matongsun(馬桶癬)'. 2. The cause of a disease is combination of internal factor-the weak of skin or the constitutional factor and external factor-the toxic substance. When the toxic substance contacts skin, pathologial change-stagnation of vital energy and blood(氣血鬱滯)-appears, and after the stagnation of vital energy and blood change heat(化火熱). 3. The symptom of a disease is topical itching, burning pain, erythematous papule, vesicle etc in skin in the acute state and itching, pachyderma, lichenification etc in skin in the chronic state. The symptom is differentiated to wind-heat(風熱) syndrom, damp-heat(濕熱) syndrom, toxic heat(熱毒) syndrom in the acute state and blood dryness(血燥) sydrom in the chronic state. 4. The treatment-methodes is as follow ; Until chung dynasty(淸代) the greater part of treatment is externl treatment The present age in china use together internal treatment and external treatment, in the acute state use method of remove heat(淸熱), remove wind(祛風), remove damp(利濕), detoxicating(解毒), remove heat from blood(凉血), in the chronic state use method of remove wind(祛風) and nourishing the blood(養血).
Thermal resistance and heat activation characteristics of Clostridium botulinum ATCC 25763 spores were evaluated. The effects of nisin and pH on the activation and subsequent germination were also investigated. Spores of C. botulinum were not inactivated by heat treatments up to $92^{\circ}C$ for 2 hr. Heat treatment at $85^{\circ}C$ for 90 min was selected as the optimal activation condition based on monitoring subsequent germination. L-alanine alone or in combination with L-cysteine was not sufficient to germinate the spores of this strain. Tryptone-Peptone- Glucose-Yeast extract (TPGY) broth supplemented with L-alanine was used as a suitable germination medium. Decreasing pH of activation suspension increased the degree of phase darkening, i.e., germination. In addition, the presence of nisin during activation increased the degree of phase darkening. The majority of spore populations were dormant at a pH of less than 2.8, and these populations required heat activation to increase the culturability on TPGY agar medium. However, extended heating in the presence of nisin at pH 2.8 decreased the spore count; however, heat activation was less necessary at pH 3.4, compared at pH 2.8.
Geothermal heat pump(GHP) systems have been shown to be an environmentally-friendly, efficient alternative to traditional cooling and heating systems in both residential and commercial applications. Although some experimental work related to performance evaluation of GHP systems with vertical borehole ground heat exchangers for commercial buildings has been done, relatively little has been reported on the performance simulation of these systems. The aim of this study is to evaluate the cooling and heating performance of the GHP system with 30 borehole ground heat exchangers applied to an commercial building($1,210m^2$) in Seoul. For this purpose, a typical design procedure was involved with a combination of design parameters such as building loads, heat pump capacity, circulating pump, borehole diameter, and ground effective thermal properties, etc. The cooling and heating performance prediction of the system was conducted with different prediction methods and then each result is compared.
In the present study, the cooling and heating operation characteristics of a multi-heat pump have been experimentally investigated for the number of the indoor units(A, B, C) and the operating conditions. The heat pump was controlled by an inverter scroll compressor. The performance of the heat pump was measured by the multi-calorimeter of an air enthalpy method. Cooling and heating capacities and COPs were obtained at the cooling and heating temperature conditions and the setting temperatures of an indoor unit. With increasing the operation frequency of the compressor, the cooling and heating capacities of the heat pump increased linearly. The operation frequency region of the compressor was different as the combination of the indoor unit and the cooling/ heating condition.
In a postulated severe core damage accident in a PHWR, multiple failures of core cooling systems may lead to the collapse of pressure tubes and calandria tubes, which may ultimately relocate inside the calandria vessel forming a terminal debris bed. The debris bed, which may reach high temperatures due to the decay heat, is cooled by the moderator in the calandria. With time, the moderator is evaporated and after some time, a hot dry debris bed is formed. The debris bed transfers heat to the calandria vault water which acts as the ultimate heat sink. However, the questions remain: how long would the vault water be an ultimate heat sink, and what would be the failure mode of the calandria vessel if the heat sink capability of the reactor vault water is lost? In the present study, a numerical analysis is performed to evaluate the thermal loads and the stresses in the calandria vessel following the above accident scenario. The heat transfer from the molten corium pool to the surrounding is assumed to be by a combination of radiation, conduction, and convection from the calandria vessel wall to the vault water. From the temperature distribution in the vessel wall, the transient thermal loads have been evaluated. The strain rate and the vessel failure have been evaluated for the above scenario.
The water-cooled WCLL blanket is one of the possible candidates for the blanket of the fusion power reactors. The plasma-facing first wall manufactured from the reduced-activation ferritic-martensitic steel Eurofer97 will be cooled with water at a typical pressurized water reactor (PWR) conditions. According to new estimates, the first wall will be exposed to peak heat fluxes up to $7MW/m^2$ while the maximum operated temperature of Eurofer97 is set to $550^{\circ}C$. The performed analysis shows the capability of the designed flat first wall concept to remove heat flux without exceeding the maximum Eurofer97 operating temperature only up to $0.75MW/m^2$. Several heat transfer enhancement methods (turbulator promoters), structural modifications, and variations of parameters were analysed. The effects of particular modifications on the wall temperature were evaluated using thermo-hydraulic three-dimensional numerical simulation. The analysis shows the negligible effect of the turbulators. By the combination of the proposed modifications, the permitted heat flux was increased up to $1.69MW/m^2$ only. The results indicate the necessity of the re-evaluation of the existing first wall concepts.
This article presents the numerical modelling of transient heat transfer in highly heterogeneous composite materials where the thermal conductivity, specific heat and density are assumed to be directional-dependent. This article uses a coupled finite element-finite difference scheme to perform the transient heat transfer analysis of unidirectional (1D) and multidirectional (2D/3D) functionally graded composite panels. Here, 1D/2D/3D functionally graded structures are subjected to nonuniform heat source and inhomogeneous boundary conditions. Here, the multidirectional functionally graded materials are modelled by varying material properties in individual or in-combination of spatial directions. Here, fully spatial-dependent material properties are evaluated using Voigt's micromechanics scheme via multivariable power-law functions. The weak form is obtained through the Galerkin method and solved further via the element-space and time-step discretisation through the 2D-isoparametric finite element and the implicit backward finite difference schemes, respectively. The present model is verified by comparing it with the previously reported results and the commercially available finite element tool. The numerous illustrations confirm the significance of boundary conditions and material heterogeneity on the transient temperature responses of 1D/2D/3D functionally graded panels.
