Objectives : The purpose of this study was to identify the relationship between decision-making types, public entrepreneurship, and performance management of local public hospital directors. Methods : A questionnaire survey was carried out to assess the dependent variables of directors' decision-making types and public entrepreneurship. The analysis of management performance was carried out through a comparison between 2016 results of, data of variation rate on medical revenue and change rate on medical profit and results in 2015. Results : Results indicated that local public hospital directors who used rational decision-making showed better performance management. The analysis showed that enterprise had a greater positive effect (+) on variation rate of medical revenue than that of innovation. However, innovation had a higher positive effect (+) on change rate of medical profit than that of enterprise. These results suggest that innovation and enterprise have a major influence on performance management. Conclusions : The survey used for this study suggests that an education and training program is needed to improve public hospital directors' ability for rational decision-making, public entrepreneurship and performance management. Additionally, the policy change guaranteeing autonomy within the proper range is demanded that Local Public Hospital Director having spirit of innovation and enterprise achieves peak capacity and have responsibility for management.
Objectives: This study was conducted to identify the rates of perceived stress of elderly people over 65 years old and to confirm the influence of stress on general health and oral health status. Methods: Using data from the National Health and Nutrition Survey for 2014, 1,472 people over 65 years of age were selected as final subjects. Stress was used as an independent variable and dependent variables were included physical health (perceived health status), mental health (depression), and oral health (perceived oral health status). The following confounding variables were adjusted for the current study: demographic characteristics (gender, age, education level, house income) and health - related characteristics (drinking, smoking, exercise, frequency of tooth brushing, using oral care product, dental exam, comorbidity, restrict activity). Complex sampling analysis was applied and logistic regression was performed to determine the effects of stress on physical health, mental health and oral health status. Odds ratio (OR) and 95% confidence interval (95% Confidence Interval, 95% CI) were calculated. Results: Logistic regression indicated that stress was significantly associated with low physical health (OR=2.18, 95%CI: 1.49-3.20), low mental health (OR=8.68, 95%CI: 4.98-15.11), low oral health (OR=1.53, 95%CI: 1.06-2.21) after adjusting for confounding variables. Conclusions: The perceived stress of the elderly was found to be related to the general health and oral health status. Therefore, it is necessary to evaluate stress as a predictor of health risk for the health promotion of the elderly on multidisciplinary assessment and continuous evaluation. In addition, health support policies should be provided to achieve good health status for elderly.

Data were collected by convenience sampling using self-reported questionnaires that consisted of general characteristics, emotional intelligence, perceived stress and burnout. Data were analyzed by descriptive statistics, t-test, ANOVA, correlation, and multiple regression. Results: Findings of the multiple regression were as follows. First, emotional intelligence had a significant negative-effect on stress. Second, emotional intelligence had a significant negative-effect on burnout. Third, stress had a significant positive-effect on burnout and had a mediating effect on the relationship between emotional intelligence and burnout. Conclusion: Results of the study suggest that as a way to reduce nursing college students' stress and burnout, programs which help improve nursing college students' emotional intelligence should be developed and implemented.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between systemic diseases and denture wear status in elderly. The subjects of this study were 4,340 seniors aged 65 or older who conducted screenings and health surveys using the National Health and Nutrition Survey data during the sixth period (2013, 2014 and 2015). Methods: For the general characteristics and denture wear status according to general systemic diseases, complex sample frequency analysis and cross-analysis were performed. After controlling the general characteristics, complex sample logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between systemic diseases and denture wear status. Statistical software was used for SPSS (SPSS 23.0 for Windows, SPSS Inc, USA). Significance level was considered as 0.05. Results: A multisample logistic regression analysis was performed to determine the relationship between systemic diseases and denture wear status. The results showed that the dentured state had a significant effect on dyslipidemia and diabetes. Conclusion: Dyslipidemia and diabetes, which are related to denture wearing condition, need to be prevented and treated with regular checkups. In addition, based on the results of the study, it is thought that the elderly need denture prosthetic treatment after tooth extraction. In addition, it can be used as basic data for oral health business plan that can maintain and manage oral health.

Objectives: The purpose of this study is to investigate the effect of health behavior on oral health of Korean adolescents. Methods: The study subjects were 1,071 adolescents of 13-18 years old from Korea National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey (KNHANES) 2010-2012. Male students were 54.5% and female students were 45.5%. The study consisted of two groups: 13-15 years old and 16-18 years old groups. Data were analyzed by SAS 9.13 version. Results: Those who ingested alcohol had gingival bleeding in 41.0% and 31.0% in those who did not. Those who did not have regular oral examinations had 38.5% of gingival bleeding while those with regular oral examination had 29.7% of gingival bleeding (p<0.01). Students between 16 to 18 years old without oral care products tended to have more gingival bleeding than those who use auxiliary oral hygiene devices (OR=2.658, 95% CI=1.327-5.324). Conclusions: The oral health management of adolescents is closely related to health behavior. Cessation of alcohol ingestion and smoking is very important to improve the adolescent oral health.

This study aims to offer a wide range of practical implications for Smartphone addiction prevention by verifying the effect of mind health as a factor that is influenced by Smartphone addiction, and testing the relationships between Smartphone addiction and mind health with school life adaptation as a mediation effect. For this research, a survey was conducted of 250 elementary school students who use Smartphones. The relationships between Smartphone addiction, mind health and school life adaptation were set as the structural equation model, and they were verified by the mediation effect of school life adaptation. The results showed that school life adaptation turned out to be an entirely mediating variable on the relationship between mind health and Smartphone addiction. The statistical significance of the effect on school life adaptation was verified by the Sobel test.
