3상 유도전동기 구동을 위한 새로운 2상 RPWM기법 (Novel Two-Phase RPWM Technique for Three-Phase Induction Motor Drive)

  • 본 논문에서는 고주파 스위칭 시 스위칭 손실의 감소, 구현의 용이성 및 인버터 제어를 위하여 요구되는 연산시간 감소 등 다양한 장점을 가진 4-Switch 인버터를 대상으로, 새로운 2상 스위칭 패턴(Pattern)과 이에 적용된 새로운 SRP-PWM(Separately Random Pulse Position PWM)기법을 제안한다. 본 논문에서는 고속운전 영역에서의 인버터 출력전류의 고조파 스펙트럼을 넓은 주파수 영역으로 즉, 특정주파수의 side-band로 고루 분산시키는 결과로부터 제안한 스위칭 패턴과 이에 적용된 새로운 SRP-PWM기법의 고조파 저감효과를 확인하고자 한다. 따라서 DSP를 이용한 IGBT인버터에 의한 실험을 수행하고, 이로부터 얻은 결과를 MATLAB/SIMULINK를 이용한 시뮬레이션 결과와 비교ㆍ분석하여 제안된 기법의 타당성을 검증하고자 한다.

  • Vibration profiles consist of two kinds of pattern, random and harmonic, at general engineering problems and the detailed vibration test mode of a target system is decided by the spectral condition that is exposed under operation. In moving mobility, random responses come generally from road source; whereas the harmonic responses are triggered from rotating machinery parts, such as combustion engine or drive shaft. Different spectral input may accumulate different damage in frequency domain since the accumulated fatigue damage dependent on the pattern of input spectrum in high cyclic loading condition. To evaluate the sensitivity of spectral damage according to different loading conditions, a linear elastic system is introduced to conduct a uniaxial vibration testing. Measured data, acceleration and strain, is analyzed using energy isocline function and then, the calculated fatigue damage is compared by different loading cases, random and harmonic.

  • A compact rail to rail CMOS voltage follower is presented. The circuit is based on the symmetrical class AB voltage follower and can operate under supply voltages of ${\pm}$ 1.5 V. The proposed circuit has power dissipation of 5.2㎽ under quiescent condition and can drive ${\pm}$1.25 V to 250$\Omega$ load with a total harmonic distortion of less than 0.5 percent and cut off frequency of 237 ㎒. Although simple, the proposed circuit enables the output transistors to drive load efficiently.

A Simplified Modulation Strategy for Three-leg Voltage Source Inverter Fed Unsymmetrical Two-winding Induction Motor

  • This paper presents a simplified modulation strategy for the three-leg VSI fed two-winding induction motor. The strategy provides independent unbalanced voltage control for the main and auxiliary windings. This make the motor can be reversed rotation through the range of motor speed operation without limitation of voltage boost of the auxiliary winding. To study the advantages of the proposed drive, the experimental results such as voltage stresses, hysteresis band of the currents in locus, and also acoustic noise levels of the three-leg VSI are compared with those of the conventional two-leg topology. The results obviously show that the proposed technique achieves superior performance compared with the traditional scheme in case of dramatic increase of DC bus utilization, effective reduction of harmonic voltages content, and also significant enhancement of motor efficiency.

  • This paper describes the design and implementation of a new diode clamped multilevel inverter for variable frequency drive. The diode clamp multilevel inverter has been widely used for low power, high voltage applications due to its superior performance. However, it has some limitations such as increased number of switching devices and complex PWM control. In this paper, a new topology is proposed. New topology requires only (N-1) switching devices and (N-3) clamping diodes compared to existing topology. A modified APO-PWM control method is used to generate gate pulses for inverter. The proposed inverter topology is coupled with single phase induction motor and its performance is tested by MATLAB simulation. Finally, a prototype model has built and its performance is tested with single phase variable frequency drive.

풍력발전용 3MW급 외부회전자형 영구자석 동기발전기 설계 (Design of 3MW Class Outer Rotor Type PMSG for Wind Turbine)

  • Over the last decade, wind turbine industry has rapidly increased around world. These days many parts of the wind generators are induction generator. But it has some problems such as gearbox failure, rotor excitation and maintenance. Thus many manufacturers are considered permanent magnet synchronous generator named PMSG and direct drive. PMSG uses NdFeB magnet has many the advantage compare with induction generator. In this study, 3MW class outer rotor type PMSG for wind turbine is proposed. The generator features 2.6m stator outer radius, 1200mm stator length, 81 pole pairs, 14 rated rpm, 42kN/$m^2$ shear force density and 94.2% efficiency. Design and analysis generator using FEM program. Then calculate and derivate no load voltage, losses, conductor temperature. To reduce total harmonic distortion and cogging torque, the stator is applied the stator skewing. And to evaluate the designed generator, compare with other generators by active mass per rating torque and torque density.

  • Phase angle control ac drives system gains a high popularity due to their simple implementation despite the disadvantage of their poor input power factor especially for large values of phase delay angle. Furthermore it generates subharmononic current at specific phase angle. As input current of do drive systems are sinusoidal, the power factor and subharmonic current characteristics are improve. This paper presents the application of a PWM control technique of do chopper system to reduce the subharmonic current and its characteristics using single-phase dc chopper drive system of universal motor.

  • By development of power electronics technology, the increasing of inverter's switching frequency lead to the development of speed control technology of induction motor. But the surge voltage including harmonic component in output waveform can cause the motor to generate power losses, torque ripple, acoustic noise and oscillation. This paper is analyzed the characteristics for switching surge of adjustable speed drive and is presented the problem by inverter.

  • Recently, the need for slim type optical disk drive(ODD) has increased with popularization of lightweight notebook. Because of its lightweight and small structure, slim type ODD has low structural stiffness and it is weak to high-speed disk vibration. In this paper, Finite Element(FE) Model of slim type ODD is constructed and verified by experimental modal analysis. Additionally, sensitivity analysis is performed about structural parameters. As a result of sensitivity analysis, improved characteristic is verified by experiments using a sample of new model.

Decoupling of the Secondary Saliencies in Sensorless PMSM Drives using Repetitive Control in the Angle Domain

  • To decouple the secondary saliencies in sensorless permanent magnet synchronous machine (PMSM) drives, a repetitive control (RC) in the angle domain is proposed. In this paper, the inductance model of a concentrated windings surface-mounted PMSM (cwSPMSM) with strong secondary saliencies is developed. Due to the secondary saliencies, the estimated position contains harmonic disturbances that are periodic relative to the angular position. Through a transformation from the time domain to the angle domain, these varying frequency disturbances can be treated as constant periodic disturbances. The proposed angle-domain RC is plugged into an existing phase-locked loop (PLL) and utilizes the error of the PLL to generate signals to suppress these periodic disturbances. A stability analysis and parameter design guidelines of the RC are addressed in detail. Finally, the proposed method is carried out on a cwSPMSM drive test-bench. The effectiveness and accuracy are verified by experimental results.
