"상한창화훈지집(桑韓唱和塤篪集)"의 의학문답(醫學問答) 기록과 조일의학(朝日醫學) 교류 (The Medical Exchange of "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip")

  • This study examined from "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" how medical exchange between doctors of Joseon and Japan affected medical science of Japan. "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" is a record that organized the written conversation between doctors and scholars of the Joseon and Edo period when the delegation so-called Joseon Tongsinsa visited Japan in 1719. Even though "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" was written by Japanese, but it was comprised of Joseon's advanced medical ideology, especially "DongEuiBogam" that has occupied an important part of the Joseon medical ideology. As a matter of fact, "SangHanChang HwaHunJiJip" contains general theme and medical subject. But until now, it has been hardly studied by medical historians. Many studies were generally made related to Joseon Tongsinsa, a governmental delegation, focused on literary and cultural exchange between Joseon and Japan by historians. "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" is no exception to this trend. We can find that doctors of the Joseon and Edo period entered into colloquium, a form of group discussion, about the clinical theme in "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip". Concretely, the conversation between doctors of Joseon and Japan was about infant disease, infectious disease, folk remedies, medical herbs, moxa cautery, acupuncture, the study of nature, the study of medical books, etc. For example, when doctors of Japan ask a confirmed disease, doctors of Joseon explained it particularly. They had a great effect on in every cultural aspect of Japan, especially its medical field. Through this study of the medical questions and answers in "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip", I came to know that the doctors of GiHae envoys gave great influence to the medical knowledge of Japan and the GiHae inherited and developed the medical tradition of SinMyo envoys. Through the examination of this study, I could deduct that "JeongJeongDongEuiBogam" which was published by the government of the Edo period is due to not only the contents of DongEuiBogam's advanced medical thought, but also the doctors of GiHae envoy. Also, "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" gives us an idea that doctors of GiHae envoys have medical trend of the OnBoHakFa and a group of Japanese doctors has medical trend of the study of nature. I am confident that the improvement of medical science and natural history of the Edo period is due to influence of medical exchange between Joseon and Japan. "SangHanChangHwaHunJiJip" confirms that medical exchange between two countries affected doctors and scholars of the Edo period.

조선시대 한양에 조성된 관영의 연지에 관한 연구 -동지, 서지, 남 지를 중심으로- (A Study on the Government-controlled Lotus Ponds Constructed in Han-Yang during Chosun-Dynasty)

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the ponds which were artificially constructed around the castle gate of Han-yang, the capital in Chosun-Dynasty. In order to conduct the research on landscape history, it is necessary to have a field survey and to collect and analyze historic documents. But this study was based on the historic documents published in Chosun-Dynasty because no relics of ponds are found nowadays. There Tong-ji(eastern pond) outside of the East Gate, Seo-ji(western pond) outside of the West Gate and Nam-ji(southern pond) outside of the South Gate. They were constructed as lotus ponds and managed by the landscape management office, called Chang-weon-seo in the ministry of Industry. Tong-ji and Nam-ji were constructed according to geomantic principles. In case of Seo-ji, the situation of construction differed from Tong-Ji in some points. As for the shape of Seo-ji, it was a rectangular pond and had an islet in the middle where flowering plants had been planted. These ponds were enjoyed by the people lived in Han-yang because they were located near the street. Particularly, people in Han-Yang enjoyed the beautiful scenery of lotus flowers planted in the ponds.

남당 한원진의 김창협 지각론 비판 (Han Wonjin's Criticism of Kim Changhyup's Theory of Jigak)

  • 본 논문의 목적은 18세기 호학(湖學)의 종장이었던 남당 한원진의 김창협 지각론에 대한 비판을 구체적으로 분석해 보는 것이다. 당시 호락논쟁에서 지각과 관련된 논쟁을 주도했던 인물은 김창협이었고, 따라서 당시의 지각 담론은 대체로 그에 대한 찬반 논의로 전개되는 양상이었다. 낙학(洛學)와 대립한 한원진에게 농암설을 성공적으로 반박하는 것은 호학(湖學)의 학파적 입장을 정립함에 있어 주요한 사안이었다. 쟁점은 주로 지각의 연원에 관한 문제, 혹은 지(智)와 지각(知覺)의 관계에 관한 문제였다. 김창협은 지(智)와 지각(知覺)가 본질상 별개의 범주에 속하며 양자 간에 체용(體用)의 관계가 성립하지 않는다고 본다. 그는 지(智)와 지각(知覺)의 관계를 실현되어야 할 '도(道)'와 그것을 실현해야 할 '기(器)'의 관계, 또는 객체(所)와 주체(能)의 관계로만 보는 입장을 정식화한다. 나아가 김창협은 심(心)의 지각활동이 본성과 직결된 것이 아니며 그로부터 비롯되는 것도 아니라고 주장하여 심(心)의 독자성을 강조한다. 한원진은 그러한 김창협의 구도가 성(性)과 심(心)을 분리하며 궁극적으로 본성이 아니라 마음을 본체로 삼는 오류에 빠질 수 있음을 경계한다. 그는 심(心)의 지각활동이 본성이라는 절대적 근거가 없이 이루어진다면, 결국 지각은 자의적으로 대상과 관계맺는 맹목적인 인지활동에 지나지 않게 된다고 본다. 만약 본성에 근거하지 않더라도 지각이 도덕적 성격을 띠게 된다고 가정할 경우, 이는 본성이 아니라 마음 자체에 도덕의 근거가 내재한다는 얘기가 되므로 결국 본체를 성(性)과 심(心) 둘로 나누는 셈이 되고 만다. 한원진에 따르면 인간의 지각이란 도덕본성에 근거하여 이루어지는 활동이어야 한다. 그렇게 볼 때 김창협이 도덕실현의 주체로서 지각의 역할을 강조하는 입장이라면, 한원진의 경우 도덕실현을 가능케 하는 본원으로서 지(智)의 위상을 중시하는 입장에 선다.

  • 'BUDDEUMI and BUDDEUMI's treatment; is a new remedy of the synchronous combination of cupping boil and moxibustion for the exclusion of human body's waste product. 'BUDDEUMI and BUDDEUMI's' treatment' wishes the reachfor improving the effect of cupping boil and moxibustion by the synchronous combination. As the negative pressure of cupping and the hot cure of moxa are made up of BUDDEUMI structural character. The effects of BUDDEMI's treatment are observed on the strengthening of skin breation and the detoxification of blood waste material. Therefor 'BUDDEUMI and BUDDEMI's treatment' is expected for the healthy article of Senior-Friendly.

상한론(傷寒論) 15조(條)의 '기기상충(其氣上衝)'에 대한 고찰 (Study of 'Ji-Qi-Shang-Chong' in Shang-han-lun's 15th Text)

  • This study is about 'Ji-Qi-Shang-Chong(其氣上衝)' in Shang-han-lun("傷寒論")'s 15th text. Shang-han-lun is a basic text about pathology of Traditional Korean Medicine written by Zhang-Zhong-Jing(張仲景). In that text, there are so many cases of people having some symptoms, how to treat them, and which herb medicine to give them, and the side effects of wrong treatments. In those cases, there is symptom said 'Ji-Qi-Shang-Chong(其氣上衝)' in the 15th text. But there is no detailed description about that. So this study is aimed at studying exactly meaning of the 15th text's 'Ji-Qi-Shang-Chong(其氣上衝)' by comparing historical medical practitioners and analyzing with the bibliography, pathology, herb pharmacology, herbal medicine, pharmacology part. In the bibliographical analysis, this sentence has been transmitted from original Shan-han-lun written by Zhang-Zhong-Jing(張仲景). Former part of this sentence "太陽病, 下之後, 其氣上衝者, 可與桂枝湯". is most correspondent part with Zhong-Jing(仲景)'s. And there is correctional possibility about latter part.

친환경 실내마감재 한지의 도배공정 연구 (A study on the wall finishing process with 「Han-ji」, an eco-friendly material)

  • Interior material covering as the final process of house-building, critically influences not only aesthetic character but also air quality of indoor space. Wall covering today, however, caused a serious social problem because of chemicals contained in the industrial wallpaper and artificial glue. In this context, Korean traditional wall covering of Han-ji can be an alternative model due to it's ecological character. Recently 'Hanok' attracts public attention, since society and people become to appreciate the unique beauty and value of our traditional culture. The values include natural beauty, emotional character, and environment-friendliness. Recognizing this, this paper intended to scrutinize the operating process of Han-ji as an interior finish material. Historical research method was employed, tracing the related articles in old literature and interviewing with the witness of the experienced expert. Thereby, healthier and unique aesthetic indoor environment can be expected to be sustainable along with the rich cultural life of ancestors.

한지창호의 실내 온.습도 조절효과에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study on the Effect of Hanji Windows on Indoor Air Temperature and Humidity Control)

  • The tightness of windows have devoted to the improvement of thermal insulation and energy saving in buildings. But it is known that this tightness causes some side effects such as low ventilation, low capacity to humidity and temperature control and these are not profitable for inhabitants. To act on these side effects, Korean traditional windows which are composed of Han-Ji(Koreand traditional paper) and Chang-Sal(Korean traditional wooden frame) have been studied to get a reasonable solutions for these problems. In this study, to compare the thermal and humidity control performance of current window(12 mm pair) and Korean traditional windows, frames which are made of existing window and Korean traditional windows are adapted to scale model house and then humidity and temperature of in and out of scale model house are measured and analysed. The results of this study are followings ; 1) When Korean traditional window charges 20cm(1/8 of total window area) from total window area, Han-Ji window has higher thermal insulation than that of existing window in daytime. There is the most big thermal difference when double faced with double-ply Han-Ji window is placed to mock-up house. In night-time, the temperature difference is very small so this means that Korean traditional window is good to cover direct sunlight in daytime and reduce the temperature of balcony. One faced with one-ply han-Ji window has the best humidity penetration performance among three type of Korean traditional windows. 2) When Korean window area enlarged to 40cm(1/4 of total window area), the function of 40cm width Han-Ji window is higher than that of 20cm's. This means that enlargement of Han-Ji window cover direct sunlight more and is more efficient in humidity penetration.

조지훈의 한용운 인식방법 비판 (Criticism on Cho Ji-hoon's Recognition of Han Yong-un)

  • 조지훈은 해방 이후 한용운에 대한 인식을 주도적으로 생산한 논자이다. 그는 한용운을 민족시인으로, 그의 시를 저항적 민족시의 한 전형으로 평가함으로써 한용운에 대한 현재적 인식의 시각과 방법을 제시하였다. 여기에서는 조지훈이 남긴 세 편의 '한용운론'을 분석하면서, 한용운에 대한 조지훈의 인식이 어떻게 논리화되었는지 살펴보았다. 이를 위해 시인론과 작품론에 대한 인식을 분리하고, 각각의 인식이 조지훈의 역사인식 및 문학인식과 어떤 정합성을 갖는지에 대해 추적해 보았다. 그 결과, 조지훈이 한용운의 생애와 작품을 파악하는 인식의 근저에는 정신사로서의 세계인식이 전제되어 있었다는 점, 절대가치로 상정된 민족이 이질적인 차이들을 봉합하는 논리였다는 점, 민족정신과 시의 결합이 시인지사론(詩人志士論)과 민족시의 논리로 표출되었다는 점을 파악할 수 있었다. 또한 그의 논리에는 인권과 민족주권의 결합, 민족과 선(禪)의 결합으로 인한 논리적 균열이 내재해 있으며, 시인의 사명에 대한 다른 가능성이 충분히 논리화되지 못한 채 미완인 채로 논의가 끝나버렸음을 밝혔다.
