각종 항타공식에 의한 말뚝의 허용지지력 연구 (A Study on the Allowable Bearing Capacity of Pile by Driving Formulas)

  • The estimation of pile bearing capacity is important since the design details are determined from the result. There are numerous ways of determining the pile design load, but only few of them are chosen in the actual design. According to the recent investigation in Korea, the formulas proposed by Meyerhof based on the SPT N values are most frequently chosen in the design stage. In the study, various static and dynamic formulas have been used in predicting the allowable bearing capacity of a pile. Further, the reliability of these formulas has been verified by comparing the perdicted values with the static and dynamic load test measurements. Also in cases, these methods of pile bearing capacity determination do not take the time effect consideration, the actual allowable load as determined from pile load test indicates severe deviation from the design value. The principle results of this study are summarized as follows : A a result of estimate the reliability in criterion of the Davisson method, in was showed that Terzaghi & Peck > Chin > Meyerhof > Modified Meyerhof method was the most reliable method for the prediction of bearing capacity. Comparisons of the various pile-driving formulas showed that Modified Engineering News was the most reliable method. However, a significant error happened between dynamic bearing capacity equation was judged that uncertainty of hammer efficiency, characteristics of variable , time effect etc... was not considered. As a result of considering time effect increased skin friction capacity higher than end bearing capacity. It was found out that it would be possible to increase the skin friction capacity 1.99 times higher than a driving. As a result of considering 7 day's time effect, it was obtained that Engineering News. Modified Engineering News. 자주식 심토환경 개선기 개발(2) - 본체 제작 및 성능 평가 - (Development of Self-propelled Explosive Subsoiler (2) - Construction of Prototype and Performance Evaluation -)

  • This study was carried out to develop a self-propelled type explosive subsoiler for improving the root zone soil conditions in orchard and other forest fields. Prototype was designed to be able to inject air and other soil improving material such as lime into soil at the same time, and thus improve the air permeability and drainage of orchard soils to promote the root growth of tree for high quality fruit production. Soil penetration device of explosive subsoiler is composed of air hammer, penetration rob and air injection nozzle. To support the soil penetration device of explosive subsoiler to penetrate vertically, modified Scott-Russel mechanism was used. Timing control device for simultaneous injection of soil improving material with air was attached to the out side wall of air cylinder and as the cylinder move, the soil improving material was injected into soil at the same time. Turning radius of prototype was 2.2-2.3 m with good mobility in sloped land. It took approximately 1 minute for lime injection system to reach the optimum pressure of 9.9 kg/$cm^2$, average 10-20 seconds were required to rupture soil with the depth of 50 cm and 2-3 seconds were required for explosion, so all in all about 1 minute and 20 seconds were required for one cycle of explosion. Maximum soil rupture depth and diameter were 50 cm and 3-4 m respectively depending on the soil type and soil moisture content. For final design of explosive subsoiler inclination angle of lime hopper was increased from 60 degree to 70 degree and the shape of hopper was changed from rectangular cone to circular cone to solve the clogging problem of lime at out let. Agitating system operated by compressed air was attached to the metering device of the prototype, thus more than 90 cc of lime was discharged per cycle from metering device without clogging problems.

항타응력 추정 (Prediction of Driving Stresses in Piles)

  • 항타응력의 추정은 말뚝박기 해머의 선정, 기성말뚝의 설계, 말뚝박기 가능성의 판단 및 말뚝박기 시방서의 각성에 필요 불가결하다. 그러나, 현재 사용되고 있는 Newton의 충격이론에 의한 경타공식들은 토질이나 해머의 용량에 따라 나름데로 결함을 갖고 있으며, 파동방정식에 의하여 해석된 수치해석법은 대형컴퓨터를 사용하 여야 하고 몇가지의 토질정수를 가정에 의하여 입력하는 것과 말뚝을 타격할 때마다 누적되는 잔재 응력을 고려하지 않는 등의 이유로 즉시추정에는 제약이 따르고 오차가 누적되는 결과를 초래할 수 있으며, 또 한편, 계기에 의하여 항타응력을 실측하는 것은 많은 비용과 시간이 소요된다. 그러므로, 본 연구에서는 항타응력을 파동이론 및 말뚝의 잔류응력에 의하여 항타응력에 가장 크게 영향을 미치는 변수들을 고려하여 해석하므로써 대형컴퓨터를 사용할 수 없는 현장에서 말뚝의 전장에 걸쳐 항타응력을 추정할 수 있는 간편한 산출식을 제시하고, 이의 신뢰성을 고찰하였다.

한국청소년의 모유수유 관련 건강교육을 위한 e-정보전략 (Evaluating the Breastfeeding Information Websites for Korean Adolescents)

  • Internet websites are excellent resources for younger people to gain information related to breastfeeding. So in this study, we evaluated the breastfeeding knowledge of university students, as well as the currently available website information on breastfeeding. Among the criteria, the six most important evaluation categories for the breastfeeding information on websites were selected and identified. The study participants completed the modified Williams and Hammer's tool, in order to evaluate their breastfeeding knowledge. An additional tool took into consideration the website breastfeeding information criteria, to evaluate the Korean websites. This 34 item tool was categorized into milk supply, comfort during breastfeeding, health of the baby and mother, social support, presentation of message, and products or financial motivation. Thirty-seven websites related to breastfeeding were evaluated, and the results were then discussed by nursing students. The students in this study were not knowledgeable on breastfeeding management with regard to the expression and storage of breast milk, the prevention and care of sore nipples, or use of breastfeeding aids. The breastfeeding information found on the Korean websites received positive evaluations for milk supply, comfort during breastfeeding, and health of the baby and mother. However, the educational content on social support, the message presentation, and the product areas on websites were rare or required additional information from breastfeeding specialists. In conclusion, based on our empirical survey, we need to design websites and evaluation tools for accurate website information regarding the social and economic benefits of breastfeeding, so that Korean women are better motivated to breastfeed by the information they obtain through the Internet.

바이올린용(用) 소재(素材)의 진동모드 해석(解析)에 관한 연구사 - 제1보. 절삭방향 및 밀도에 따른 공진 주파수의 변화 (Studies on the Vibrational Modal Analysis of Solid Woods for the Violin Making - Part 1. Effect of Cutting Direction and Density on Resonant Frequency of Woods)

  • 복잡한 구조를 지니는 바이올린 동체 설계 및 음질 평가률 위한 기본정보를 마련코자 바이올린 주요소재인 European spruce 및 European maple의 강제진동(强制振動) 의한 선형(線型) 휨진동(振動) 모드를 조사하고 소재밀도 및 절삭방향에 따른 진동모드별 공진(共振)주파수 변위를 분석하였다. 연구 결과 저비중재임에도 불구하고 spruce가 maple에 비해 더 높은 공진(共振) 주파수률 지님으로써 보다 우수한 음향특성을 지니는 것으로 나타났다. 또 spruce의 경우 접선방향으로 절삭된 판목재에 비해 방사방향 절삭된 정목재의 주파수 편차가 작아 균일한 음질을 위해서는 전반(前板)주요부품 가공시 정목판재를 사용하는 것이 바람직한 것으로 판단되었다. 그리고 두 수종 공히 소재밀도와 공진(共振)주파수간의 관계는 양의 상관관계를 나타냈으며, 절삭방향별로는 정목재의 상관계수가 판목재에 비해 놓게 나타났다.

OKPO 300 진동 특성에 대한 실험적 연구 (Experimental Study of Vibration Characteristics of OKPO 300)

  • This paper presents experimental results for the vibration characteristics of the small unmanned underwater vehicle (UUV) OPKO 300, which was designed and manufactured by Daewoo ship and Marine Engineering Ltd. The autonomy of UUVs has led to an increase in their use in scientific, military, and commercial areas because their autonomy makes it possible for UUVs to be utilized instead of humans in hazardous missions such as mine countermeasure missions (MCM). Since it is impossible to use devices based on electromagnetic waves to gather information in an underwater environment, only sonar systems, which use sound waves, can be used in underwater environments, and their performance can strongly affect the autonomy of a UUV. Since a thruster system, which combines a motor and propeller in a single structure, is widely used as the propulsion system of a UUV and is mounted on the outside of a UUV’s stern, it can generate vibration, which can be transferred throughout the shell of the UUV from its stern to its bow. The transferred vibration can affect the performance of various sonar systems such as side-scan sonar or forward-looking sonar. Therefore, it is necessary to estimate the effect of the transferred vibration of the UUV on the sonar systems. Even if various numerical methods were used to analyze the vibration problem of a UUV, it would be hard to predict the vibration phenomena of a UUV at the initial design stage. In this work, an experimental study using OKPO 300 and an impact hammer was carried out to analyze the vibration feature of a small real UUV in the air. The frequency response function of the vibration based on the experimental results is presented.

Feasibility of UHPC shields in spent fuel vertical concrete cask to resist accidental drop impact

  • Ultra-high performance concrete (UHPC) has been widely utilized in military and civil protective structures to resist intensive loadings attributed to its excellent properties, e.g., high tensile/compressive strength, high dynamic toughness and impact resistance. At present, aiming to improve the defects of the traditional vertical concrete cask (VCC), i.e., the external storage facility of spent fuel, with normal strength concrete (NSC) shield, e.g., heavy weight and difficult to fabricate/transform, the feasibility of UHPC applied in the shield of VCC is numerically examined considering its high radiation and corrosion resistance. Firstly, the finite element (FE) analyses approach and material model parameters of NSC and UHPC are verified based on the 1/3 scaled VCC tip-over test and drop hammer test on UHPC members, respectively. Then, the refined FE model of prototypical VCC is established and utilized to examine its dynamic behaviors and damage distribution in accidental tip-over and end-drop events, in which the various influential factors, e.g., UHPC shield thickness, concrete ground thickness, and sealing methods of steel container are considered. In conclusion, by quantitatively evaluating the safety of VCC in terms of the shield damage and vibrations, it is found that adopting the 300 mm-thick UHPC shield instead of the conventional 650 mm-thick NSC shield can reduce about 1/3 of the total weight of VCC, i.e., about 50 t, and 37% floor space, as well as guarantee the structural integrity of VCC during the accidental drop simultaneously. Besides, based on the parametric analyses, the thickness of concrete ground in the VCC storage site is recommended as less than 500 mm, and the welded connection is recommended for the sealing method of steel containers.

국내 매입 말뚝 관리를 위한 항타공식 활용 가능성 평가 및 제안에 관한 연구 (Feasibility Appraisal and Proposal of a Pile Driving Formula for Domestic Pre-bored Pile Management)

  • 국내 구조물 기초설계기준은 전체 말뚝 수량의 1~3%에 대해 동재하시험 또는 정재하시험을 수행하도록 규정하였다. 나머지 약 97%에서 99% 말뚝의 시공 품질은 통상적으로 항타 관입량으로 관리한다. 대다수 말뚝에 적용되는 기존 관입량 관리방식에서 항타 에너지도 함께 고려하는 항타공식으로 말뚝의 시공 품질을 관리한다면 신뢰성이 향상될 것으로 판단된다. 본 연구에서는 기존 항타공식의 국내 말뚝 관리 활용 가능성을 검토하였다. 하지만, 해외에서 만들어진 기존 항타공식들은 상대적으로 얕은 깊이에 풍화암이나 연암이 있으며 매입 말뚝을 주로 활용하는 국내 실정에 맞게 개선할 필요가 있다. 그러므로, Modified Gates 공식을 국내 데이터를 활용하여 개선하였고, 이를 활용한 말뚝 관리 가능성을 확인하였다. 개선된 공식은 적은 변수를 활용함에도, 동재하시험과 유사한 수준의 정확도로 매입 말뚝 지지력을 예측하였다. 제안된 항타공식은 향후 말뚝의 시공 품질관리에 실무적으로 잘 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

매입말뚝의 설계식 적정성 및 지지력 상향 가능성 분석 연구 (Analytical Study on the Appropriateness of Design Formula and Possibility of Improving Bearing Capacity of Bored Pile)

  • 말뚝 설계효율(설계지지력/재료강도)을 70%(160톤)에서 80%(190톤)로 개선하기 위해 기존 말뚝재하시험 자료 분석과 정밀 동재하시험 및 국내 최초의 양방향 재하시험을 실시하였다. 기존 동재하시험 데이터를 Davisson 방법으로 분석하면 풍화암 지지층(N치 50/15)에서도 설계지지력 190톤을 만족하였다. 그러나, 이를 CAPWAP으로 해석하면, 타격 에너지 부족으로 목표지지력을 만족하지 못한 말뚝이 전체의 40%가 나타났다. 따라서, 동재하시험 결과에서 목표 지지력을 확인하기 위해서는 6톤 이상의 해머에 의하여 충분한 타격력을 가하는 것이 필수적인 것으로 나타났다. 정적인 양방향 재하시험의 Davisson 분석에 의한 허용지지력은 260.0~335tonf(평균 285.3tonf)를 나타내어 목표지지력을 크게 상회하는 것으로 나타났다. 이 시험결과는 동일 말뚝에 대한 정밀 동재하시험의 허용지지력(평균 202.3tonf) 보다 약 40% 정도 크게 나타났는데, 동재하시험에서 충분하지 않은 타격력, 정적 양방향재하시험 시 주변말뚝에 의한 인터록킹에 의한 지지력 증가 등에 의한 차이로 판단된다.

유체-구조물 상호작용을 고려한 댐 구조체와 수압철관의 내진성능평가 (Seismic Performance Evaluation of Dam Structures and Penstock Considering Fluid-Structure Interaction)

  • 국내 대규모 지진 이후 구조물의 내진에 대한 연구 필요성이 커짐에 따라 행정안전부에서는 기존의 내진설계기준 공통적용사항을 개정하여 국가내진성능 목표치를 상향하였으며 새로 개정된 내진설계기준의 성능목표치에 대한 연구가 필요하게 되었다. 이에 본 논문에서는 실제 노후화된 Test-Bed의 댐 제체와 내부에 매립되어 있는 수압철관과 유체를 여러 변수를 도입하여 3차원 유한요소법으로 모델링 하였으며 수압철관 내부 유체의 동수압으로 인한 거동을 분석하고 개정된 현행 내진설계 기준법에 부합하는 지진파에 대한 댐 제체와 수압철관의 안전성을 확인하였다. 3차원 유한요소해석결과 수압철관의 수충격에 의한 응력변화가 매우 작았으며 이를 통해 지진상황에서 수충격 보다 동수압의 영향이 더 큰 것을 확인할 수 있었다. 동수압이 SPH 형태인 경우 지진동으로 인한 유체의 거동과 응력 발생 위치를 유효하게 나타낼 수 있으며 취약부 분석에 더욱 용이할 것으로 분석되었다. 부식을 고려한 해석결과 수압철관이 제체의 매립되어 있기 때문에 응력 분산의 정도가 작아져 강재 항복응력의 1% 이하로 매우 작은 응력결과를 보였다. 또한 콘크리트 댐 제체의 상류 유입부의 미소 인장균열 발생 가능성이 있으나 수압철관의 응력증가에 큰 영향을 끼치지 않는 것으로 나타났으며 개정된 유효지반가속도의 지진상황에서 안전한 것으로 판단된다.
