  • As cyber attacks and crimes increase exponentially and hacking attacks become more intelligent and advanced, hacking attack methods and routes are evolving unpredictably and in real time. In order to reinforce the enemy's responsiveness, this study aims to propose a method for developing an artificial intelligence-based security control platform by building a next-generation security system using artificial intelligence to respond by self-learning, monitoring abnormal signs and blocking attacks. The artificial intelligence-based security control platform should be developed as the basis for data collection, data analysis, next-generation security system operation, and security system management. Big data base and control system, data collection step through external threat information, data analysis step of pre-processing and formalizing the collected data to perform positive/false detection and abnormal behavior analysis through deep learning-based algorithm, and analyzed data Through the operation of a security system of prevention, control, response, analysis, and organic circulation structure, the next generation security system to increase the scope and speed of handling new threats and to reinforce the identification of normal and abnormal behaviors, and management of the security threat response system, Harmful IP management, detection policy management, security business legal system management. Through this, we are trying to find a way to comprehensively analyze vast amounts of data and to respond preemptively in a short time.

  • Among many hacking attempts carried out in the past few years, the cyber-attacks that could have caused a national-level disaster were the attacks against nuclear facilities including nuclear power plants. The most typical one was the Stuxnet attack against Iranian nuclear facility and the cyber threat targeting one of the facilities operated by Korea Hydro and Nuclear Power Co., Ltd (Republic of Korea; ROK). Although the latter was just a threat, it made many Korean people anxious while the former showed that the operation of nuclear plant can be actually stopped by direct cyber-attacks. After these incidents, the possibility of cyber-attacks against industrial control systems has become a reality and the security for these systems has been tightened based on the idea that the operations by network-isolated systems are no longer safe from the cyber terrorism. The ROK government has established a realistic control systems defense concept and in the US, the relevant authorities have set up several security frameworks to prepare for the threats. This paper presented various cyber security attack cases and their scenarios against control systems, along with the analysis of countermeasures for them. Though this task, we attempt to identify the items that need to be considered when designing a domestic security framework to improve security and secure stability.

  • Although various information and communication technologies occupy a place in daily life in the face of the fourth industrial revolution, the contents related to information security in elementary and secondary education courses are mainly related to personal information protection, and the contents and countermeasures of rapidly changing security threats are low in textbooks, and they are far behind the changes. To improve this, this paper suggests that education contents related to information security are included in elementary school real and middle school information textbooks, educational contents related to wireless network and PC security are included to cope with rapidly changing security threats that may arise from the age of the Internet of Things, non-face-to-face classes, and case-based information ethics education can be organized to eradicate curiosity about hacking. Through this paper, we will help prevent information security accidents by establishing basic security measures on our own and strengthening security awareness in the information age.

  • Recently government has distributed precautionary measure and response procedures for smishing(SMS phishing), pharming, phishing, memory hacking and intensified Electronic Financial Transaction Act because of the sharp increase of electronic bank frauds. However, the methods of electronic bank frauds also developed and changed accordingly so much it becomes hard to cope with them. In contrast to earlier voice phishing targeted randomizing object, these new methods find out the personal information of targets and analyze them in detail making a big data base. And they are progressed into new kind of electronic bank frauds using those analyzed informations for voice phishing. This study analyze the attack method of voice phishing blended with the Big Data of personal informations and suggests response procedures for electronic bank frauds increasingly developed. Using the method to save meaningless data in a memory, attackers cannot deduct accurate information and try voice phishing properly even though they obtain personal information based on the Big Data. This study analyze newly developed social technologic attacks and suggests response procedures for them.

  • As the number ofconnected cars grows, the security of the connected cars is becoming more important. There are also increasing warnings about the threat of attacks via the CAN bus used for in-vehicle networks. An attack can attack through a vulnerability in the CAN bus because the attacker can access the CAN bus remotely, or directly to the vehicle, without a security certificate on the vehicle, and send a malicious error message to the devices connected to the CAN bus. A large number of error messages put the devices into a 'Bus-Off' state, causing the device to stop functioning. There is a way to detect the error frame, or to manage the power of the devices related to the bus, but eventually the new standard for the CAN bus will be the fundamental solution to the problem. If new standards are adopted in the future, they will need to be studied.

  • Cross Site Scripting enables hackers to steal other user's information (such as cookie, session etc.) or to do abnormal functions automatically using vulnerability of web application. This attack patterns of Cross Site Scripting(XSS) can be divided into two types. One is Reflect XSS which can be executed in one request for HTTP and its reply, and the other is Stored XSS which attacks those many victim users whoever access to the page which accepted the payload transmitted. To correspond to these XSS attacks, some measures have been suggested. They are data validation for user input, output validation during HTML encoding procedures, and removal of possible risk injection point to prevent from trying to insert malicious code into web application. In this paper, the methods and procedures for these two types are explained and a penetration testing is done. With these suggestions, the attack by XSS could be understood and prepared by its countermeasures.

  • Small and medium-sized companies lack countermeasures to secure the safety of a information system. In this circumstance, they have difficulties regarding the damage to their images and legal losses, when the information is leaked. This paper examines the information leakage of the system and hacking methods including APT attacks. Especially, APT attack, Advanced Persistent Threats, means that a hacker sneaks into a target and has a latency period of time and skims all the information related to the target, and acts in the backstage and neutralize the security services without leaving traces. Because he attacks the target covering up his traces not to reveal them, the victim remains unnoticed, which increases the damage. This study examines attack methods and the process of them and seeks a countermeasure.

  • Cyber crimes caused unpredictable damages by influencing targets with means such as hacking and virus in virtual space. In specific, they transcend time and space because of their anonymity and it is difficult to punish the people who are involved in crimes. To manage such cyber crimes, we need an international cooperative systems beyond difference in legal systems between countries and 'Global Governance' was prepared as a reasonable alternative. These days, governance has been presented as an important concept to explain changed social systems or changed roles of government. It was not just a concept to replace traditional government of a single nation, but to overcome new problems on social actions of humans. So it is expected that it can help prepare reasonable measures through cooperation both in individuals and systems, and public and civil sectors. To countermeasure cyber crimes in terms of global governance, we can prepare general investigation systems and professional human resources through civil and public assistance, and provide a base on which international cooperation systems can be established.
