Conclusion: The results indicate the necessity of continual education on infection management, and that the most efficient timing for the education appears be for participants during their first pregnancy or after the woman has delivered her child.
Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the guardian's experience about tepid massage of children who visited Pediatric Emergency Room (PER). Methods: Data for this study was collected from August 1 to September 30, 2009 using questionnaires of 300 guardians who visited a PER. All data analyses were done using the SPSS 17.0 program and statistical data on frequency and percentage were obtained. $x^2$ test was done as well. Results: The results of this study were as follows: 73.7% of the guardians were doing the tepid massage, and 40% of them were doing the tepid massage when guardians thought that their children had a fever. 8.6% of them were incorrectly doing the tepid massage on their children such as using ice or alcohol. 90.5% of the children's condition changed when they had the tepid massage applied. Only 48% of the guardians got information about tepid massage, and 52.8% of the guardians got this information from the medical team. There were significant differences according to the education background about tepid massage (p<.001) and past hospital admissions history. There were differences according to whether their child had experience with febrile seizure(p=.085) and having more than one child at home (p=.085). Conclusion: This study revealed that the guardians were incorrectly doing the tepid massage on their children. The results of this study suggest that it is necessary to develop certain emergency nursing processes on accurate information and management strategies about tepid massage, and further studies on the effects of this kind education intervention are necessary.
Although intestinal protozoans are common etiologies of diarrhea, few studies have been conducted in Myanmar. This study planned to investigate the prevalence of Giardia lamblia, Entamoeba coli, Entamoeba histolytica, and Endolimax nana among schoolchildren and their guardians in suburban areas near Yangon, Myanmar. We performed a cross-sectional survey among schoolchildren and their guardians from 7 primary schools in South Dagon and Hlaing Thar Yar districts, Yangon, Myanmar. Stool samples were observed with a microscope after concentration technique and iodine staining. Total 821 stool samples, including 556 from schoolchildren and 265 from guardians, were examined. The median age was 6 years old for schoolchildren and 36 years old for guardians. A 53.1% of the school children and 14.6 % of the guardians were males. The overall prevalence of each intestinal protozoan species was as follows: 3.4% (28/821) for G. lamblia; 3.5% (29/821) for E. coli; 1.2% (10/821) for E. histoytica, and 3.0% for E. nana. This study showed that intestinal protozoans are common in primary schoolchildren and their guardians in suburban areas near Yangon, Myanmar. Health interventions, such as hand washing education, improvement of sanitation, and establishment of water purification systems are urgently needed in this area.
The aim of this study was to determine key experiences of homestay guardians of unaccompanied minor Korean adolescents studying abroad in the United States through qualitative research method of grounded theory methodology. This study identified guardianship experiences and the process of adjustment to life with homestay students through in-depth interviews with 12 subjects who are Korean guardians in the United States. The results of this study classified "started with concern" as a category that leads guardians to start providing homestay accommodation, and "other's recommendation," "need for financial support," and "unexpectedly" as subcategories. This study identified "act as a mediator to resolve differences" as a key experience of guardians, and classified subcategories are "parental role" and "calculation of gains and losses" on a personal level; and "feel sorry for own children," "limited leeway of the family," and "formation of relationship between own children and homestay students" on a family level. Developed subcategories are "thirsty for attention," "vulnerability," "task on freedom and control," and "regrettable feeling in the absence of communication" with respect to relationship with students; "grade expectations," "one-way communication," "trapped between parents' and students' demands" in regard to relationship with parents; and "advice from school" in the aspect of school. "Cultural difference," "preparedness of students and parents," "age differences between guardian's children and students," "family support," "similar personalities," "guardian's motivation," and "parent's attitude" are subcategories that affect central phenomenon of guardians.

This study suggests a new platform in which VI can communicate with their guardians who serve as a system administrator optimizing personal characteristics. In terms of interaction between platform components, this study can contribute to enhancing stability of walking by giving substantial information to VI through server processing and setups of guardians with real-time interaction to VI through server processing and setups of guardians with real-time interaction. Therefore, developing smart phone applications can facilitate both portability and cost effectiveness, by the users' downloading the application and registration. In terms of guardians' cost, this system is cost-effective because they can access to the administration system through personal computers or smart phones, not through specialized system devices. This system is web-based, which automatically communicates with the surroundings of, such as provides the guardians with the necessary information or approaches to the danger through IoT devices, which results in enhancing safety. Moreover, it is possible for guardians to utilize the personalized platform since the system not only senses personal characteristics but also sends a number of information to VI. a new platform makes it possible for guardians to provide electronic support and interaction with the application with the application users, which contributes to systematic and safe walk for VI.

Purpose : This study was conducted to understand the health status and health behaviors of preschoolers to provide baseline data for developing health promotion programs. Method 'Parents of children attending day-care centers and guardians of preschoolers were recruited for the study. Data were collected from June to August2002 using a structured questionnaire. Result . Among 754 preschoolers, 17,3% were overweight, while 18.2% were underweight, while 15.9% and 23.2% were overweight and underweight respectively, among 85 children living with guardians. The most frequent infectious diseases that children have had previously were hand-foot-mouth disease, chicken pox, and measles. Current health conditions that children have frequently are respiratory disease and atopic dermatitis for bother groups. Only 54%-61% brush their teeth everyday at bedtime, 49%-54% wash their hands every time after returning home, 4.5%-8.8%wear bicycle helmets, 9,3%-11.1% use a child car seat, and 3.5%-8.1% eat fruits and vegetables five times a day, Children living with guardians were less likely toper form positive health behaviors compared with children in day-care centers. Conclusion 'Based on the study results, health professionals could plan and develop health promotion programs to change unhealthy behaviors of preschoolers targeting high-risk groups.
As the elderly population is becoming an aging society, the elderly are experiencing many problems. Social security costs for the elderly are increasing and the un-linked social phenomenon is emerging. Thus, the social infrastructure and welfare system established in the past economic growth period are in danger of not functioning properly. People socially isolated or with chronic diseases among the elderly are exposed to various accidents. Thus, an active healthcare management service is imperative. Additionally, in the event of a dangerous situation, the system must have ways to notify guardians (family or medical personnel) regarding appropriate action. Thus, in this paper, we propose the smartphone-based healthcare and emergency response service platform. The proposed service platform aggregates movement of relevant data in real-time using a smartphone. Based on aggregated data, it will always recognize the user's movements and current state using the human motion recognition mechanism. Thus, the proposed service platform provides real-time status monitoring, activity reports, a health calendar, location-based hospital information, emergency situation detection, and cloud messaging server-based efficient notification to several subscribers such as family, guardians, and medical personnel. Through this service, users or guardians can augment the level of care for the elderly through the reports. Also, if an emergency situation is detected, the system immediately informs guardians so as to minimize the risk through immediate response.
Objectives: Guardians of patients have a great deal of influence on decision-making in the course of care in Korea. The purpose of this study was to explore the effect of nursing service satisfaction on hospital re-use intention in the guardians of patients admitted to comprehensive nursing care units. Methods: The survey was conducted on 151 guardians of patients hospitalized in comprehensive nursing care units of two general hospitals for four months beginning in September 2017. The data were analyzed with descriptive statistics, t-tests, Pearson's correlation coefficient, and multiple regression analyses using SPSS/Win 21 software. Results: Nineteen percent of variance in hospital re-use intention was accounted for by reliability (t=3.31, p=.001), empathy (t=2.49, p=.014), and recommendations from others (t=2.49, p=.014). The explanatory power was significant (F=13.06, p<.001). Conclusions: To promote hospital reuse, nurses need to improve the quality of their nursing services. Emphasis should be on reliability and empathy among nursing service components. It is also necessary to consider ways to encourage guardians who used hospitals to recommend them to their acquaintances.
This study is to suggest necessary improvements of inconvenient elements as well as the ergonomic design standard to develop disabled cars by evaluating the types of needs and observing the behavior characteristics on their car use and the survey on the complaints of the disabled drivers and their guardians in the use of disabled car. The results of this study are as follows. First, both the disabled drivers and their guardians are found to feel high inconvenience and low satisfaction with the cars they use now. Second, the disabled owner-drivers also answered in a same way as guardians. They find the most difficulty in moving the supporting equipment to get into and out of a car. Both the owner-drivers with disabilities and guardians complained of lack of handiness they face when they wear the seat belts and sitting on the seats. In view of this, a disabled car to be developed should have ergonomic design for its seats and the safety of the seatbelt as well as trouble-free supporting equipment helping them move. Third, rather than owner-drivers with handicaps, guardians expressed more difficulties and less contentment with the cars for the disabled, which is reckoned to lead to the changes of perspectives on development of cars for the disabled breaking away from existing viewpoints focusing on the accessibility to the vehicles. Fourth, both owner-drivers and guardians showed higher interests in driving and other safety and convenience measures than in using supporting equipment to get into and out of vehicles, implying that rather than the accessibility to get into and out of a car, convenience should primarily be taken into account for the design of the disabled car. Fifth, the auto-manufacturer is to give prior thought to user convenience when developing a car in practice. For this, the developer may have the disabled car users join the process of development as well as asking experts for help and participation.
Based on theories and case analysis, the present research concerns the deduction of useful results about the basic stage for setting up a planar plan for children's play therapy facility, which cures children's psychological problems such as social maladaptation by means of play rather than language. The case analysis was sub-categorized into movement in each area, relative position among areas, and the size of each room. Detailed investigations were made concerning: First, Adjacent areas of each area. Second, Movement plan, which was sub-categorized into the movement of therapists and that of the children receiving therapy and guardians; area was sub-categorized into management area, therapy area and service area. Third, the size of each area measured was calculated to be expressed as the percentage of the total size. The result is as follows: (1) As for adjacent areas, in some cases management area and service area were adjacent, with isolated therapy area; whereas in the other cases, service area and information area, which is a part of management area, were placed along the doorway, with therapy area between them and therapist area, which is the other part of management area, behind them. (2) As for movement, the movement of therapists and that of children receiving therapy were same; whereas the movement of guardians was allowed only up to the middle part of the therapy facilities, and there was almost no entry of guardians into the play therapy rooms located in the inner parts. This is because they do not show the details of their therapy for children to guardians. (3) As for size, the area of independent facilities were similar; whereas institutional facilities in general had larger waiting room and unlike independent facilities, were of diverse size.
