Aim: To investigate the effects of tetramethypyrazine (TMP) on proliferation and apoptosis of the human gastric carcinoma cell line 7901 and its possible mechanism of action. Methods: The viability of TMP-treated 7901 cells was measured with a 3-(4, 5-dimethyl-thiazol-2-yl)-2,5-diphenyltetrazolium bromide assay (MTT) and cell apoptosis was analyzed by flow cytometry. The distribution of cells in different phases of cell cycle after exposure of TMPs was analyzed with flow cytometry. To investigate the molecular mechanisms of TMP-mediated apoptosis, the expression of NF-${\kappa}Bp65$, cyclinD1 and p16 in SGC-7901 cells was analyzed by reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction (RT-PCR) and western blotting. Results: TMP inhibited the proliferation of human gastric carcinoma cell line 7901 in dose and time dependent manners. Cell growth was suppressed by TMP at different concentrations (0.25, 0.5, 1.0, 2.0 mg/ml), the inhibition rate is 0.46%, 4.36%, 14.8%, 76.1% (48h) and 15.5%, 18.5%, 41.2%, 89.8% (72h) respectively. When the concentration of TMPs was 2.0mg/ml, G1-phase arrest in the SGC-7901 cells was significant based on the data for cell cycle distribution. RT-PCR demonstrated that NF-${\kappa}Bp65$ and cyclin D1 mRNA expression was significantly down-regulated in 7901 cells treated with 2.0 mg/ml TMP for 72h (p<0.05), while the p16 mRNA level was up-regulated (p<0.05). The protein expression of NF-${\kappa}Bp65$ and cyclin D1 decreased gradually with the increase in TMP concentration, compared with control cells (p<0.05), while expression of protein p16 was up-regulated (p<0.01). Conclusion: TMP exhibits significant anti-proliferative and pro-apoptotic effects on the human gastric carcinoma cell line SGC-7901. NF-${\kappa}Bp65$, cyclinD1 and p16 may also play important roles in the regulation mechanisms.
This study was conducted to evaluate performance, breast (thigh) muscle yield, nutrient digestibility and serum biochemical parameters of broilers fed low-protein diets supplemented with various threonine to lysine ratios (Thr/Lys). Three hundred and twenty four day-old male Arbor Acres broilers were randomly allotted to six dietary treatments with six replicates per treatment and nine broilers per replicate. Six treatments included one control diet [formulated according to NRC (1994)], and five experimental diets (treatments 1-5). In treatments 1-5, the crude protein level was 2% lower than that of the NRC control diet. The Thr/Lys in treatments 1-5 was 0.65, 0.70, 0.75, 0.80 and 0.85 during the starter and grower phases and 0.70, 0.75, 0.80, 0.85 and 0.90 during the finisher phase with other nutrient levels kept consistent. The results showed that: (1) With increasing Thr/Lys, ADG of treatments 1, 3 and 4 were lower (p<0.05) than those of the NRC control diet during the starter phase; ADG of treatments 1-5 were lower (p<0.05) than those of the NRC control during the grower phase, and ADG of treatment 1 was lower (p<0.05) than that of the NRC control during the finisher phase. Average daily feed intake in treatments 1 and 4 were lower (p<0.05) than that of broilers on the NRC control diet during the grower phase. Feed/gain (F/G) of the NRC control diet was lowest (p<0.05) during the starter phase. F/G in treatments 2 and 5 were higher (p<0.05) than that of NRC during the grower phase. (2) Breast muscle proportion on d 21 increased linearly (p<0.05) in response to graded levels of Thr/Lys. (3) No differences were detected for dry matter, energy and crude protein digestibility among all seven treatments. (4) On d 21, serum triglyceride of broilers on dietary treatments 3 and 5 was higher (p<0.05) than that of broilers in control. The results indicate that the low-protein diets supplemented with an appropriate Thr/Lys could not support the same performance that was achieved by the broilers fed the NRC control diet.
The microstructure and electrical properties of ZNR that W $O_3$ is added in the range 0.5~4.0mol%, were investigated. The major part of W $O_3$ were segregated at the nodal point and W-rich phase was formed. Three crystalline phases, such as W-rich phase (W $O_3$), Bi-rich phase (B $i_2$W $O_{6}$ ), and spinel phase (Z $n_{2.33}$S $b_{0.67}$$O_4$) were confirmed to be co-existed at the nodal point The average grain size increased in the range 15.5~29.9$\mu\textrm{m}$ with increasing W $O_3$ additive content. Consequently. W $O_3$ acted as a promotion additive of grain growth. As the W $O_3$ additive content increases. the varistor voltage and the nonlinear exponent decreased in the range 186.82~35.87V/mm and 20.90~3.34, respectively, and the leakage current increased in the range of 22.39~83.01 uh. With increasing W $O_3$ additive content, the barrier height and the density of interface states decreased in the range 1.93~0.43eV and (4.38~1.22)$\times$10$^{12}$$\textrm{cm}^2$, respectively. W $O_3$ acted as an acceptor additive due to the donor concentration increasing in the range (1.06~0.38)$\times$10$^{18}$ /㎤with increasing W $O_3$ additive content.t.t.

The government has been operating residential improvement projects through the "Act on the Maintenance and Improvement of Urban Areas and Dwelling Conditions for Residents" as a type of a remedial measure for deteriorated residential areas. However, in recent years, the residential improvement projects have experienced difficulties due to the effects of various factors including the slowdown in economic growth. After observing the depression in a number of projects, various studies have been carried out to investigate the causality and improve the promotion of the residential improvement projects. In the trend of research, this study aims to analyze the effects of land and building characteristics on the improvement projects of Busan Metropolitan City. The dependent variables of the study represent different phases of improvement project as specified in the "Act on the Maintenance and Improvement of Urban Areas and Dwelling Conditions for Residents". The independent variables represent land and building characteristics which refer to the criteria used in the designation process of maintenance area according to the act. The empirical analysis uses the ordered logit model. The results from the analysis suggest that geographical condition, factors related to the number of union members, factors related to the parcel price and condition of a location have impact on the promotion of the improvement project. The results of the analysis show that majority of the factors are related to the economic feasibility of the projects. Residential improvement project is a part of urban planning projects that rehabilitates deteriorated residential environment, and it is closely associated with the quality of life of public. Accordingly, we hope that such projects are reasonable and take effective approach to those with urgent needs rather than to focus on profitability. Also, potential administrative and economical loss should be avoided by taking necessary planning measures in advance.

The Early Warning System for agrometeorological hazard of the Rural Development Administration (Korea) forecasts detailed weather for each farm based on the meteorological information provided by the Korea Meteorological Administration, and estimates the growth of crops and predicts a meteorological hazard that can occur during the growing period by using the estimated detailed meteorological information. For verification of early warning system, automated weather observation network was constructed in the study area. Moreover, a real-time web display system was built to deliver near real-time weather data collected from the observation network. The meteorological observation system collected diverse meteorological variables including temperature, humidity, solar radiation, rainfall, soil moisture, sunshine duration, wind velocity, and wind direction. These elements were collected every minute and transmitted to the server every ten minutes. The data display system is composed of three phases: the first phase builds a database of meteorological data collected from the meteorological observation system every minute; the second phase statistically analyzes the collected meteorological data at ten-minutes, one-hour, or one-day time step; and the third phase displays the collected and analyzed meteorological data on the web. The meteorological data collected in the database can be inquired through the webpage for all data points or one data point in the unit of one minute, ten minutes, one hour, or one day. Moreover, the data can be downloaded in CSV format.
Two experiments were conducted to study the effects of dietary protein level and phase feeding regimens on performance, carcass characteristics and pork quality in growing-finishing pigs. In both experiments, growing pigs (n=90; barrows; Landrace $\times$ Yorkshire $\times$ Duroc) were allotted to 3 treatments. Each treatment had 3 replicate pens comprising 10 pigs in each. In Exp. 1, pigs (average body weight $25.06{\pm}0.57\;kg$) were fed diets having low (17.50-14.50-12.51%), medium (19.49-17.50-13.87%) or high (22.47-19.49-16.36%) CP concentration (LP, MP and HP diets, respectively) diets during grower-finisher I-finisher II phases, respectively. Feeding of MP diet resulted in higher (P<0.05) ADG and better FCR than pigs fed LP diet. Pigs fed HP diet had lower (P<0.05) pork color and marbling score. Meat of pigs fed LP diet had higher (P<0.05) Thiobarbituric acid reactive substances (TBARS), while meat of pigs fed HP and LP diets had greater drip loss than pigs fed MP diet. In addition, meat from pigs fed LP diet was darker while meat of pigs fed HP and MP diets was paler and redder. In Exp. 2, pigs (average body weight $10.40{\pm}0.61\;kg$) were subjected during 126 days to three or four phase regimes of different duration. The treatments T1 and T2 were subjected to four phase feeding regimens (grower I, grower II, finisher I and finisher II) for 22, 42, 32 and 30 days (T1) and 40, 40, 25 and 21 days (T2), respectively, while T3 was subjected to three phase feeding regimen (grower I, grower II and finisherI) for 40, 56 and 30 days, respectively. Duration of phase feeding regimens had no effect (P>0.05) on the performance, carcass traits and meat quality of pigs. These results suggest that both high and low levels of CP have a negative effect on performance and pork quality; however, alterations in the phase feeding regimens do not have any discernible effect on the performance and pork quality in growing-finishing pigs.
A microorganism (strain AR1) producing an extracellular lipolytic enzyme was isolated from hot springs located in Beppu, Japan. Phylogenetic analysis based on the 16S rDNA sequence and biochemical studies indicated that AR1 belongs to the genus Geobacillus. This study focused on novel strategies to increase extracellular lipolytic enzyme production by this novel Geobacillus sp. AR1. Cultures of the AR1 strain grew within a wide temperature range (from 35 to $75^{\circ}C$); the optimum temperature was $65^{\circ}C$. The pH for optimal growth was 6.5, whereas the optimum pH for lipolytic enzyme production was 8.5. The presence of oils in the culture medium led to improvements in lipolytic enzyme activity. Soybean oil was the most efficient inducer, and it yielded better results when added in the exponential phase. On the other hand, the addition of chemical surfactants led to lipolytic enzyme production. Their addition to the culture could affect the location of the enzyme activity. The addition of Tween 20 in the stationary phase significantly increased the proportion of the extracellular enzyme activity. According to the results, following the addition of soybean oil and Tween 20 in the exponential and stationary phases, the extracellular lipolytic activity was increased 2.4-fold compared with that of a control.

In 2011 and 2012, Korean construction firms awarded around $ 64.5. Billion each year from the overseas market in 2011. This contract value accounted for overwhelming portion of total overseas construction contract values, and this growth is expected to continue for the next decade. However, contract scopes awarded to the Korean construction firms mainly involve detailed design and construction phases due to their competitiveness for the construction techniques. In other words, front-end-engineering-design and construction project management are not considered part of core business due to the lack of project management skills and experience. The researchers focused on development of construction sequence model required to improve construction planning and scheduling skills for the Korean construction firms. The model identifies critical work items and the sequence throughout project execution process. In addition, the researchers developed a risk evaluation method by applying fuzzy theory to the critical construction activities for the industrial plant construction projects. Developed methodology will help project practitioners to develop project schedule in a timely and effe ctive manner and evaluate project risks associated with scheduling process for the industrial plant construction projects.
We report the structural characterization of $Bi_xZn_{1-x}O$ thin films grown on c-plane sapphire substrates by plasma-assisted molecular beam epitaxy. By increasing the Bi flux during the growth process, $Bi_xZn_{1-x}O$ thin films with various Bi contents (x = 0~13.17 atomic %) were prepared. X-ray diffraction (XRD) measurements revealed the formation of Bi-oxide phase in (Bi)ZnO after increasing the Bi content. However, it was impossible to determine whether the formed Bi-oxide phase was the monoclinic structure ${\alpha}-Bi_2O_3$ or the tetragonal structure ${\beta}-Bi_2O_3$ by means of XRD ${\theta}-2{\theta}$ measurements, as the observed diffraction peaks of the $2{\theta}$ value at ~28 were very close to reflection of the (012) plane for the monoclinic structure ${\alpha}-Bi_2O_3$ at 28.064 and the reflection of the (201) plane for the tetragonal structure ${\beta}-Bi_2O_3$ at 27.946. By means of transmission electron microscopy (TEM) using a diffraction pattern analysis and a high-resolution lattice image, it was finally determined as the monoclinic structure ${\alpha}-Bi_2O_3$ phase. To investigate the distribution of the Bi and Bi-oxide phases in BiZnO films, elemental mapping using energy dispersive spectroscopy equipped with TEM was performed. Considering both the XRD and the elemental mapping results, it was concluded that hexagonal-structure wurtzite $Bi_xZn_{1-x}O$ thin films were grown at a low Bi content (x = ~2.37 atomic %) without the formation of ${\alpha}-Bi_2O_3$. However, the increased Bi content (x = 4.63~13.17 atomic %) resulted in the formation of the ${\alpha}-Bi_2O_3$ phase in the wurtzite (Bi)ZnO matrix.

Cells proliferate via repeating process that growth and division. This process is G1, S, G2 and M four phases consists. Monitoring the progression of the cell cycle is a specific step that to be a continuous process is repeated to adjust the start of the next step. At this time, this process is called a Checkpoint. Currently, there are three known checkpoints that G1-S phase, G2-M phase, and the M phase. In this study, we confirmed that cell cycle arrest effects by ethanol extracts of Artemisia annua Linne (AAE) in Hep3B liver cancer cells. AAE was regulated proteins which involved in cell cycle such as pAkt, pMDM2, p53, p21, pCDK2 (T14/Y15). AAE induced cell cycle arrest in G1 checkpoint through phosphorylation of CDK2. Akt and p53 upstream is inhibited by AAE and p53 activated by non-activated pMDM2, p53 inhibitor. Thereby, activated p53 is transcript to p21 and activated p21 protein is combined with Cyclin E-pCDK2 complex. Therefore, we confirmed that AAE-induced cell cycle arrest was occurred by p21-Cyclin E-pCDK2 complex by inhibition of pAkt signal. Because of this cell cycle can't pass to S phase from G1 phase.
