곡물배지가 느타리버섯의 균사배양과 생리활성에 미치는 영향 (Effect of solid grain media on the mycelial growth of Pleurotus ostreatus and its biofunctional activity)

  • 버섯을 이용한 기능성 전통 장류발효식품의 개발 및 버섯가공산업 육성을 위한 기초자료를 제공하고자 상식하고있는 7종류의 곡물배지에 느타리버섯 균사체 배양을 행하고 그 배양추출물의 생리활성 등을 검토하였다. 곡물을 냉수에 4시간 수침시킨 후 물 빼기를 한 다음 곡물 중량비에 대하여 수분을 25%(V/W) 전후로 첨가하고 증자시간을 30분 행하는 것이 느타리버섯 균사생육에 효과적이었다. 7종류의 곡물배지에 느타리버섯 균사를 고체 배양한 결과 조와 보리쌀 배지에서 생육이 가장 왕성하였고 그 다음은 대두박과 검정콩 배지로 나타났으며 밀, 옥수수 및 현미배지에서는 생육이 늦은 것으로 나타났다. 느타리버섯 균사추출물들이 폐암세포의 생육에 미치는 영향을 검토한 결과 옥수수, 대두박, 현미, 보리쌀 및 검정콩 배지에서 비교적 높은 항암성을 나타내었고, 조와 밀의 배지에서는 낮은 항암성을 나타내었다. 혈전용해활성은 대두박, 밀, 조, 보리쌀, 현미, 검정콩, 옥수수배지의 순으로 높게 나타났으며, 병원성 세균에 대한 항균활성은 Pseudomonas aeruginosa 및 Staphylococcus aureus에 대하여 높게 나타났다.

Determinants of Economic Growth in Indonesia: A Dynamic Panel Model

  • This study aims to analyze the effect of public spending, macroeconomic variables, and BPK opinion on economic growth. This study is motivated by the inequality of fiscal policy effectiveness between regions in Indonesia in influencing the economic growth of different regions, the ability of local governments to attract foreign investors, and the transparency of regional financial management in designing development programs to encourage regional economic growth. The analytical tool in this study is a dynamic panel regression model with data from 2008 to 2017. The results of this study show that, in the short term, the population affects regional economic growth, while in the long term, the economic growth is affected by the number of people, the poor, General Allocation Fund, health budget, foreign investment and BPK opinion. The findings of this study are that in the long term the General Allocation Fund becomes an obstacle to economic growth, this is because the general allocation funds is widely used to cover the lack of funds for routine regional activities, thereby reducing activities for development programs. Another research finding is that fiscal policies carried out by local governments make a small and ineffective contribution to promoting economic growth.

Chlorella의 다량원소 결핍에 따른 생장 및 광합성능의 변화 (Effect of Macronutritional-element Deficiencies on the Growth and Photosynthetic Activity of Chlorella Cells)

  • Chlorella ellipsoidea cells were cultured in a phosphate, magnesium, sulfur or potassium-free medium. Some portions of cells were taken out at intervals during the culture, and physiological activities such as growth rate, reproduction, photosynthetic activity, and biosynthesis of cholorophyll of macro-element deficient cells were measured. 1) Generally, growth rate, reproduction, photosynthetic activities, and biosynthesis of chlorophyll of the macro-element deficient cells decreased more or less, compared with those of the normal cells. 2) The growth and reproduction of the algal cells in sulfur, or magnesium free medium were retarted severely with the chlorosis ; the photosynthetic activity and the content of chlorophyll showed the same tendency. 3) It is considered that the decrease in growth rate of macro-element deficient Chlorella cells is due to the decrease in photosynthetic activity owing to the decrease in chlorophyll content of the cells.

고성장기업의 기술혁신활동 특성에 대한 연구 (The Study on the Characteristics of Technology Innovation Activities of High Growth Firms)

  • 본 연구는 국가 및 지역의 경제성장과 일자리 창출에 기여도가 큰 고성장기업을 대상으로 혁신활동의 특성을 분석하고자 한다. 매년 평균 20% 이상의 매출액 또는 근로자수의 성장을 보이는 고성장기업과 그렇지 않은 일반기업의 혁신활동을 비교 분석하고자 2016년 기술혁신조사 제조업 데이터를 활용하였다. 주요 연구결과로는 첫째, 고성장기업은 일반기업에 비해 R&D인력 비중이 높은 것으로 나타났다. 둘째, 고성장기업은 일반기업에 비해 혁신을 적극적으로 도입하고 있다. 고성장기업은 4개 유형별 혁신에서 마케팅 혁신을 제외하고, 제품혁신, 공정혁신, 조직혁신을 적극 도입하고 있다. 다만, 제품혁신과 공정혁신과 관련된 혁신활동에 있어 외부 R&D를 제외하고 고성장기업과 일반기업은 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 셋째, 개방형 혁신에 있어 제품/공정혁신과 관련된 외부 정보원천의 활용으로 나타나는 '외부지식 탐색' 활동은 고성장기업과 일반기업 간의 통계적으로 유의한 차이는 없었고, '혁신 협력'에 있어서 타기업 및 타기관과 협력 여부는 고성장기업이 일반기업에 비해 더 많다고 할 수 있지만, 협력파트너의 다양성에 있어서는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이지 않았다. 넷째, 혁신을 보호하는 방법에 있어서 고성장기업이 일반기업에 비해 '지식재산권 활용', '사내 기밀로 유지', '복잡한 설계방식을 채택', '경쟁기업에 앞서 시장 선점' 등 모든 유형의 보호방법에 대해서 더 중요하다고 판단하고 있고, 특히 지식재산권 활용이 가장 중요한 수단인 것으로 나타났다. 다섯째, 정부의 혁신정책이 혁신활동에 기여하는 정도에 대해서 고성장기업은 '연구개발 보조금 및 투 융자', '지식재산권 획득 활용 보호', '인력난 해소' 등의 순으로 중요하다고 응답하였고, 이 3가지 항목은 일반기업이 응답한 기여도보다 더 크게 나타났고 이는 통계적으로 유의한 차이를 보이고 있다.

벼의 생육시기에 따른 일부 광호흡효소의 활성변화 (Activities of Catalase, Glycolate Oxidase, Hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-Glyoxylate Reductases at Different Growing Stages in the Leaves of Rice Plants)

  • Catalase, glycolate oxidase, hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities in cell free extracts from leaves of 3 cultivars, Suwon 264, IR 36 and Jin Heung of rice plants were studied at different growing stages. Catalase and glycolate oxidase shows inclining activities toward the maximum vegetative growth whereas declining activities in either the enzymes were noticed during the maturing stage. After the photoperiodic condition exhibit increasing hydroxypyruvate and NADPH-glyoxylate reductases activities with time until maturing stage. No significant differences were found in the enzyme activities, and in analytical data of nitrogen, chlorophyll contents, dry weight and soluble proteins among the 3 cultivars.

In Vitro Growth-inhibiting Effects of Leaf Extracts from Pinus Species on Human Intestinal Bacteria

  • Methanol extracts of leaves from 15 Pinus species belonging to the family Pinaceae were tested for their in vitro growth-inhibiting activities against 10 bacteria commonly found in the gastrointestinal tracts of human, using impregnated paper disk methods. The inhibitory activities varied with both bacterial strain and Pinus species used. At a concentration of 10 mg/disk, a clear growth inhibition was produced from the extracts of Pinus armandii, P. banksiana, P. bungeana, P. densiflora, P. rigida, and P. thunbergii against Clostridium perfringens, whereas all Pinus samples revealed weak or little growth-inhibiting activity against Escherichia coli, Bacteroides fragilis, and Staphylococcus aureus. At 5 mg/disk, the extracts of P. banksiana and P. thunbergii exhibited potent growth inhibition toward C. perfringens. All the extracts except the one from P. densiflora did not adversely affect growth of Bifidobacterium adolescentis, B. longum, B. bifidum, B. breve, B. animalis, and Lactobacillus casei. The growth-inhibiting activity was more pronounced in C. perfringens, as compared to the lactic acid-producing bacteria. These results may be an indication of at least one of the pharmacological activities of these Pinus species.

Escherichia coli에 대한 한약재추출물의 항균활성 (Antimicrobial activity of extracts from medicinal herbs against Escherichia coli)

  • The extracts from 40 different traditional medicinal herbs were used to investigate the antimicrobial activities against Escherichia coli. Among them, the extracts from Paeonia suffruticosa (PS), Siegesbeckia orientalis (SO), Schizandra chinensis (SC), Caesalpinia sappan (CS) and Rhus javanica (RJ) exhibited high antimicrobial activities against E. coli, Minimum inhibitory concentrations (MIC) of the RJ extract against E. coli were 0.8 mg/ml. After heating treatment of these extracts, the antimicrobial activities against E. coli were significantly reduced in case of the CS extract. After alkaline or acid treatment of these extracts, the antimicrobial activities against E. coli were significantly increased in the PS extract but reduced in both SO and RJ extract. Since extracts from RJ and CS exhibited the highest antimicrobial activities, bacterial growth-inhibiting activities against E. coli by these two extracts were further examined. Optical density at 620 nm after 24 hours incubation of E. coli in the presence of 100, 300 or 500 ppm of RJ extract ranged from 0.1 to 0.2 compared to 0.35~0.65 in the absence of RJ extract, indicating that growth of E. coli was significantly inhibited within 24 hours by the addition of at least 100 ppm of RJ extract. Optical density at 620 nm after 24 hours incubation of E. coli in the presence of 300 or 500 ppm of CS extract ranged from 0.01 to 0.25 compared to 0.5~0.55 in the absence of CS extract, indicating that growth of E. coli was also significantly inhibited within 24 hours by the addition of at least 300 ppm of CS extract. In conclusion, these findings suggest that extracts from RJ and CS may play important roles for antimicrobial activities against E. coli causing various animal diseases.

EGF, IGF-I, VEGF and CSF2: Effects on Trophectoderm of Porcine Conceptus

  • The majority of early embryonic mortality in pregnancy occurs during the peri-implantation stage, suggesting that this period is important for conceptus viability and the establishment of pregnancy. Successful establishment of pregnancy in all mammalian species depends on the orchestrated molecular events that transpire at the conceptus-uterine interface during the peri-implantation period. This maternal-conceptus interaction is especially crucial in pigs because in them non-invasive epitheliochorial placentation occurs, in which the pre-implantation phase is prolonged. During the pre-implantation period, conceptus survival and the establishment of pregnancy are known to depend on the developing conceptus receiving an adequate supply of histotroph, which contains a wide range of nutrients and growth factors. Evidence links growth factors including epidermal growth factor (EGF), insulin-like growth factor-I (IGF-I), vascular endothelial growth factor (VEGF), and colony-stimulating factor 2 (CSF2) to embryogenesis or implantation in various mammalian species; however, in the case of pig, little is known about such functions of these growth factors, especially their regulatory mechanisms at the maternal-conceptus interface. Our research group has presented evidence for promising growth factors affecting cellular activities of primary porcine trophectoderm (pTr) cells, and we have identified potential intracellular signaling pathways responsible for the activities induced by these factors. Therefore, this review focuses on promising growth factors at the maternal-conceptus interface regulating the development of the porcine conceptus and playing pivotal roles in implantation events during early pregnancy in pigs.

Benzoxazolin-2-thione과 PAS의 Alkyl Ester과의 Mannich Base 합성 및 항균력에 관한 연구 (Synthesis of Mannich Base of Benzoxazolin-2-thione and Alkyl Ester of PAS and Their Antimicrobial Activities)

  • Nine benzoxazolin-2-thione derivatives were sunthesized as the potential antimicrobial substances. These compounds were tested for the antimicrobial activities using Staphylococcus aureus and Escherichia coli by way of tube dilution method. The three compounds of I, II and VII omjoboted the growth of S.aureus at the concentration of 1${\mu}$g/ml, and III,VI,VIII and IX exhibited considerable antimicrobial activities against S. aureus at the concentration of 10.m.u.g/ml. As to the growth of E. Coli, VII VII and VIII inhibited at the concentration of 1${\mu}$g/,l. II,III and IV exhibited considerable antimicrobial activities against E. coli at the concentration of 10${\mu}$g/ml.
