We make a studyof the hydrogen permeability and chemical stability of $Nb_{56}Ti_{23}Ni_{21}$ metal alloy membrane. For this purpose, we produced the $Nb_{56}Ti_{23}Ni_{21}$ membrane which has 10 mm diameter and 0.5 mm thick, and experiment the hydrogen transport properties under two kinds of feed gas ($H_2$ 100%; $H_2$ 60% + $CO_2$ 40%) at $450^{\circ}C$C with variation of absolute pressure. The maximum hydrogen permeation flux was $5.58mL/min/cm^2$ in the absolute pressure 3 bar under pure hydrogen. And each case of feed gases about gas composition, the permeation fluxes were satisfied with Sievert's law, and the hydrogen permeation flux decreased with decrease of hydrogen partial pressure irrespective of temperature and pressure. After permeation test, we experiment the stability and durability of $Nb_{56}Ti_{23}Ni_{21}$ alloy membrane for carbon dioxide by XRD analysis.
Green Hydrogen demonstration complex is under conduction in Jeju island which is rich in renewable energy resources and will produces green hydrogen using a water electrolysis systems. In order to check durability of long-term operation, AST(accelerated stress test) was applied and the power pattern based on Jeju Island's wind power was applied. After 800 hours of repeated application of low current and high current, the performance of the PEM water electrolysis cell was reduced by up to 10% and by about 5.5% in operating conditions. As the result of impedance analysis, it can be seen that the electrode polarization resistance greatly increased than ohmic polarization resistance. In addition, when the durability evaluation was conducted by applying the wind power pattern of Jeju Island, the performance of the PEM water electrolysis cell showed up to 1.6% and a decrease of less than 1% in operating conditions. As a result of the impedance, it can be seen that the change of ohmic resistance and electrode polarization resistance is small.
In the present work, the operating parameters were optimized using Box Behnken Design (BBD) in response surface methodology (RSM) to maximize the hydrogen production rate (R1) and hydrogen production rate per unit watt consumed (R2) of a proton exchange membrane electrolysis cell (PEMEC), a third response (R3) which was the sum of the scaled values of R1 and R2 were selected to be maximized so that both hydrogen production rate and hydrogen production rate per unit watt consumed could be maximized. The major parameters which were influencing the experiment for enhancing the output responses were oxygen electrode/anode electrocatalyst loading (A), current supplied (B) and water inlet temperature (C). The commercial proton exchange membrane Nafion® was used as the electrolyte. The acetylene black carbon (CAB) supported IrO2 was used as the electrocatalyst for preparing oxygen electrode/anode whereas commercial Pt (40 wt%)/CHSA was used as the H2 electrode/cathode electrocatalyst. The quadratic model was developed to predict the output/ responses and their proximity to the experimental output values. The developed model was found to be significant as the P values for both the responses were < 0.0001 and F values were greater than 1. The optimum condition for both the responses were O2 electrode/anode electrocatalyst loading of 1.78 mg/cm2, supplied current of 0.33 A and water inlet temperature of 54℃. The predicted values for hydrogen production rate (R1) and hydrogen production rate per unit watt consumed (R2) were 2.921 mL/min and 2.562 mL/(min·W), respectively obtained from the quadratic model. The error % between the predicted response values and experimental values were 1.47% and 3.08% for R1 and R2, respectively. This model predicted the optimum conditions reasonably in good agreement with the experimental conditions for the enhancement of the output responses of the developed PEM based electrolyser.
Global sustainable energy needs and carbon neutrality goals make hydrogen a key future energy source. South Korea and Japan lead with proactive hydrogen policies, including South Korea's Hydrogen Law and Japan's strategy updates aiming for a hydrogen-centric society by 2050. A notable advance is the solar thermal chemical water-splitting cycle for green hydrogen production, spotlighted by Korea Institute of Energy Research (KIER) and Niigata University's joint initiative. This method uses solar energy to split water into hydrogen and oxygen, offering a carbon-neutral hydrogen production route. The study focuses on international collaboration in solar energy for thermochemical water-splitting and E-fuel production, highlighting breakthroughs in catalyst and reactor design to enhance solar thermal technology's commercial viability for sustainable fuel production. Collaborations, like ARENA in Australia, target global carbon emission reduction and energy system sustainability, contributing to a cleaner, sustainable energy future.

As the hydrogen era comes near future, hydrogen fuel cell vehicles are core of hydrogen economy. Until now, Korea has 17 hydrogen refueling stations but 9 hydrogen refueling stations have been retired already and 8 hydrogen refueling stations are still running. With a limited number of hydrogen refueling stations, it is very difficult to get scientific data for the economy of hydrogen refueling stations in Korea. Thus, based on NREL(National Renewable Energy Laboratory) study, we analyzed most recent data for the construction of hydrogen refueling stations in one specific site in Korea. The cost comparison data between Korea and USA shows 14% difference, saying higher costs of Korea. Korea looks 5 years delay compared to USA. This data will be an important tool for the investment from every industrial parties.

High combustion efficiency of hydrogen could make it an ideal source of green energy in the future. At this time, high pressure vessel is the most reasonable method of storing hydrogen. However, such a high pressurized vessel could pose a critical threat if ruptured. For this reason, it is important to understand the mechanism of hydrogen's self-ignition when a high-pressure hydrogen released into air. This paper presents several visualization images as experimental results using high-speed camera. From the visualization images, the ignition is initiated near rupture disk immediately after failure of disk. And the initial ignition and flame is stronger as a rupture pressure increases. However, this ignition region do not affect the general self-ignition mechanism when a high-pressure hydrogen is released into air through tue after failure of disk.
As a non-renewable energy source, fossil fuel causes environment problems, numerous efforts have been made for a global decarbonization, for example, the realization of Power 2 Gas (P2G) system as a definitive research goal. In particular, ammonia is regarded as an emerging source since it can be used as a hydrogen carrier and production alongside for fuel cell applications. In this mini-review, we summarized the properties of ammonia and further highlighted the worldwide research trend for its superb potential in hydrogen energy supply industries.

Due to continuous climate change, greenhouse gases in the atmosphere are gradually accumulating, and various extreme weather events occurring all over the world are a serious threat to human sustainability. Countries around the world are making efforts to convert energy sources from traditional fossil fuels to renewable energy. Hydrogen energy is a clean energy source that exists infinitely on Earth, and can be used in most areas that require energy, such as power generation, transportation, commerce, and household sectors. A fuel cell, a device that produces electric and thermal energy by using hydrogen energy, is a key field to respond to climate change, and major countries around the world are spurring the development of core fuel cell technology. In this paper, research trends in China, the United States, Germany, Japan, and Korea, which have the highest number of papers related to fuel cells, are analyzed through keyword network analysis.

Hydrogen is an green energy without pollution. Recently, fuel cell electric vehicle has been commercialized, and many studies have been conducted on hydrogen tanks for vehicles. The hydrogen tank for vehicles can be charged up to 70 MPa pressure. In this study, the change in filling time, pressure, and temperature for each hydrogen level in a 59 L hydrogen tank was predicted by numerical analysis. The injected hydrogen has the properties of real gas, the temperature is -40℃, and the mass flow rate is injected into the tank at 35 g/s. The initial tank internal temperature is 25℃. Realizable k-epsilon turbulence model was used for numerical analysis. As a result of numerical analysis, it was predicted that the temperature, charging time, and the mass of injected hydrogen increased as the residual capacity of hydrogen is smaller.
Metal-ceramic composite membrane have been developed to separate hydrogen from mixed gases, particularly product streams generated during coal gasification and methane reforming. Cermet membrane was fabricated with palladium as hydrogen-permeable metal and $Y_2O_3$-stabilized $ZrO_2$ (YSZ) as ceramic supporter. As-prepared membrane showed dense structure with continuous channel of palladium. The hydrogen flux of Pd/YSZ membrane have been measured in the range of 0.5~2 atm with 100% hydrogen gas. The results indicate that the hydrogen flux was 0.333 mL/$min{\cdot}cm^2$ at $450^{\circ}C$ and 2 atm. The crack was formed in the surface and cross-section of membrane.
