Thermal Distribution and Development of RF Hyperthermia for Cancer Treatment (암치료를 위한 고주파 온열장치의 개발과 가온특성)

  • The biological effects for the use of hypertherinla to treat malignant tumors has been well studied and encouraging clinical results have been reported. However, the engineering and technical aspects of hyperthermia for the deepseated tumors has not been satisfactory. We have developed the FF capacitive hyperthermia device(GHT RF8)by cooporation with Yonsei Cancer Center and Green Cross Medical Equipment Corporation. It was composed with 8.10 MHz RF generator, capacitive electrode, matching system, cooling system, temperature measuring thermocouples and control PC computer. We have measured the temperature and thermal distribution in agar phantom, animals and human tumors.

  • It is desirable to use the renewable energy for the greenhouse heating in winter season, it makes possible not only to save fossil fuel and conserve green farm environment but also to promote the quality of agricultural products and reduce the agricultural production cost. In this study the heat pump system was developed to use the natural energy as thermal energy resource for the thermal environment control of the greenhouse.

  • Since 1972 a series of experiments were conducted to reveal physiological function and biological activities involved in rooting of mulberry cuttings, and the behaviour of ether extractable growth control substances in leaves and stens. Measurements were made on various mulberry varieties for respiration of cuttings, suitable size for the production of cuttings, change of rootability of cuttings with growth of cutting shoots after cutting date, rooting tests on the green beans with ether leaf extract and ether stem extract, and rooting effect of cutting by NAA treatment.   • A three dimensional vision is obtained by stereoscopic view using a modified commercial TV set and matching color filter glasses. Two video signals from two CCTV cameras are connected to the RGB (red, green, blue) inputs of picture tube selecting two different colors for two video signals. A synchronizing signal drives a CCTV camera and the color TV set. On the other hand, a delayed synchronizing signal drives the other CCTV camera shifting its image on display. This shift is used in correcting image distortion.

  • In Korea, farming population is rapidly decreased in each decade. Consequently, farming is becoming more complex with multi cropping, animal production and green house farming. In order to encounter this complexity of farming, expert system applications on diagnosis, planning, designing, management, control, and training are demanded to meet the needs of agricultural society. In this article, expert system establishment procedures are stated step by step and extensive literature review was conducted on the expert system development techniques.

  • Recently warm compaction techniques are focused on and commercialization of one high-density compaction process in the P/M industry. Another development is a new SEGLESS using a developed lubricant that reduces ejection force at room temperature compaction. It is possible to achieve high-density by reducing lubricant amount. In this paper we confirmed that green density was $7.35g/cm^3$ at 686MPa of compaction pressure when the new SEGLESS was applied to relatively lower temperature warm compaction process, such as $80^{\circ}C$.

  • Only do we have an earth! It is crucially important to improve our living environment and keep the sustained development of a city in the limited space. Some concrete examples will be analysized in the paper, elaborating upon how to make full use of roof space and various plants to create a better green-space. To create different activity space with unique characteristics for people, various plants, roof-space, water and buildings in the style of garden should be use when local conditions and design requirement should be considered.

  • 본 논문에서는 소결 후 20 ㎛ 정도의 두께를 갖는 ceramic green sheet를 이용하여 초소형(1005) 칩 인덕터를 제작하였다. 인덕터의 패턴을 최적화함에 있어서 HP사의 HFSS(High Frequency Structure Simulator)를 이용하였고 이 과정에서 인덕터의 전기적 특성, 등가회로등을 추출하였다. 칩 인덕터를 제작함에 있어서 모든 적층 공정을 최적화하였다. 실제 제작한 인덕터와 simulation 결과의 관계성을 도출하고 이를 통해 목표 용량을 tuning하였다. 이와 같은 과정을 통해 1-39 nH의 인덕턴스를 갖는 1005크기의 칩 인덕터를 개발하였고, 이를 선진사의 제품과 비교할 때 우수한 전기적 특성을 나타내었다.

  • 본 논문은 친환경자동차의 보급이 활성화됨에 따라 필수적으로 확보되어야할 전기안전성을 평가하기 위한 장비개발에 관한 것으로, 기존 장비의 문제점과 효율성을 개선하기 위하여 국제기준에 적합한 통합형 평가장비를 개발하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 제품을 공인 시험기관에서 성능을 검증하였으며, 검증결과 친환경자동차의 정격에 적합한 측정 장비의 사양을 갖는 것을 확인하였다.
