벼 유기재배 시 녹비작물 처리에 의한 작물의 생육, 수량 및 품질 비교 (Comparison of Growth, Yield and Quality by Green Crop Treatments in Rice (Oryza sativa L.) Organic Cultivation)

  • 벼 재배포장에서 녹비작물의 이용성을 조사하고자 보리와 헤어리베치를 적용하여 시험구를 배치하였다. 무농약 4년차 벼 재배포장에서 벼 수확 후 재배한 보리를 녹비작물로 이용한 처리구(보리녹비구), 보리와 헤어리베치를 혼파한 다음 녹비작물로 이용한 처리구(보리+헤어리베치 녹비구), 벼 수확 후 녹비작물을 재배하지 않은 방임구(나지방임구)와 보리를 재배한 후 수확한 처리구(관행구)에서 호품벼를 2009년 6월 15일 평당 60주를 기준으로 기계 이앙하여 얻어진 시험결과를 요약하면 다음과 같다. 1. 간장과 수장은 관행구가 조금 길었으며, 처리간에는 차이가 없었다. 백미 수량은 관행구를 100%로 볼 때 보리녹비구가 90.3%, 보리+헤어리베치 녹비구가 95.9%로 나타났다. 2. 벼 품질 평가에서 보리녹비구와 보리+헤어리베치 녹비구의 단백질 함량은 관행구 6.6%에 비해 5.7%로 낮았다. 아밀로스함량은 모든 처리구에서 18.8~19.1% 범위로 유사한 경향을 보였다. 백도는 관행구 37.7에 비해 보리녹비구 38.9와 보리+헤어리베치 녹비구 39.1로 약간 높게 나타났다. 3. 취반미 윤기치는 관행구 77.6에 비해 보리수확구가 82.0, 나지방임구가 83.8로 양호하게 나타났다. 4. 완전립율이 나지방임구는 95.5%인 반면에 관행구, 보리녹비구, 보리+헤어리베치 녹비구에서 93.8~94.2% 범위로 약간 낮게 나타났다. 쇄립율도 유사한 경향이었으며 분상질립율은 관행구가 1.7%로 가장 높았다. 5. 본 시험에서 발생된 병해는 잎도열병, 이삭도열병, 잎집무늬마름병이었다. 해충으로는 굴파리류, 혹명나방, 줄점팔랑나방, 끝동매미충이었다. 기상환경이 병해충발생에 불리한 조건으로 경과되어 병해충 발생이 전반적으로 적었으며 처리간에도 유의적인 차이를 나타내지 않았다.

Effects of Continuous Application of Green Manures on Microbial Community in Paddy Soil

  • Green manure crops have been well recognized as the alternative for chemical fertilizer, especially N fertilizer, because of its positive effect on soil and the environment. Hairy vetch and green barley are the most popular crops for cultivation of rice in paddy field. This study was conducted to evaluate effects of hairy vetch and green barley on soil microbial community and chemical properties during short-term application (three years). For this study, treatments were composed of hairy vetch (Hv), green barley (Gb), hairy vetch + green barley (Hv+Gb), and chemical fertilizer without green manure crops (Con.). Hv+Gb treatment showed the highest microbial biomass among treatments. Principal component analysis (PCA) showed that PC1 (73.0 %) was affected by microbial biomass and PC2 (21.5 %) was affected by fungi, cy19:0/18:$1{\omega}7c$ (stress indicator). Combined treatment with hairy vetch and green barley could be more efficient than green manure crop treatment as well as chemical fertilizer treatment for improvement of soil microorganisms.

침출 조건에 따른 보리잎차와 녹차의 항산화능 비교 (A Comparison of the Antioxidant Activity of Barley Leaf Tea and Green Tea according to Leaching Conditions in Distilled Water)

  • This study was conducted to investigate the antioxidant amounts and properties of barley leaf tea and green tea at under various leaching conditions. The leaching temperatures and times of the distilled water were 50, 70 and $90^{\circ}$C for 1, 3 and 5 min, respectively. The levels of crude fat and ash in the barley leaf tea were higher than those in green tea. Brown color intensity and flavonoid absorbance increased with leaching temperature. The highest vitamin C levels and water-soluble phenol resulted at $90^{\circ}$C for 3 min. The DPPH radical scavenging activities of the barley leaf tea and of green tea were 11.06 and 50.56%, respectively, compared to 2.9% for L-ascorbic acid (150 ppm). The nitrite scavenging activities of barley leaf tea and green tea were 95.11 and 74.88%, respectively. The SOD-like activities of barley leaf tea, green tea, and L-ascorbic acid (150 ppm) were 12.99, 8.33, and 12.75%, respectively. The antioxidant effect of green tea was higher than that of barley leaf tea and lastly, the SOD-like activity of barley leaf tea was as high as that of green tea.

볶은 쌀보리를 혼합한 녹차의 휘발성 향기성분 (Volatile Flavor Components in Green Tea Blended with Parched Naked Barley)

  • 중작녹차를 효율적으로 이용하여 좋은 향미와 기능성을 가진 차를 만들기 위해 덖은 쌀보리에 중작녹차를 혼합하였다. 쌀보리녹차의 휘발성 향기성분의 추출은 Likens and Nickerson형 추출 장치를 사용한 동시증류추출방법에 의해 완수였으며, 그 농축된 추출물은 GC (Gas chromatography)와 GC-MS (Gas chromatography - mass spectrometry)에 의해 분석되었다. 3-methylbutanal, 2-methylbutanal, 그리고 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine 등의 화합물이 쌀보리로부터 분리, 동정되었다. 그리고 녹차에서는 ${\alpha}$-terpinolene, indole, ${\beta}$-ionone 등을 포함한 화합물을 분리, 동정하였으며, 또한 쌀보리와 녹차를 혼합한 쌀보리녹차에서는 2,5-dimethyl pyrazine, indole, 3-ethyl-2,5-dimethyl pyrazine 등을 포함한 화합물들이 분리, 동정되었다. 그 결과로부터 일반 중작녹차보다 볶은 쌀보리와 녹차를 혼합한 쌀보리녹차가 관능적으로 더 좋은 향미를 주는 요인으로 작용하는 것 같았다.

새싹보리와 녹차 스펀지케이크의 이화학적 및 항산화적 품질 특성 (Physicochemical and Antioxidant Properties of Sponge Cake made using Barley Sprout and Green Tea)

  • This study investigated the physicochemical and antioxidant properties of sponge cakes made using different amounts (2 and 4%) of barley sprout powder (BSP) and green tea powder (GTP), respectively. The results showed that the baking loss rate of GS2 (2% green tea) and GS4 (4% green tea) was 12.39% and 11.96%, respectively in the green tea addition group, which was higher than that of the barley sprout group, but significantly lower than that of the control group at 13.34% (p<0.05). The specific volumes of the sponge cake containing barley sprout and green tea 2% and 4% were between 2.84-2.95 mL/g, which was significantly higher compared to the control group at 2.69 mL/g (p<0.05). The sugar content was significantly higher in the control group and the barley sprout addition group at 2.30°Brix (p<0.05). As for the volume index, the control group with the lowest value at 13.43 showed a significant difference compared to the addition groups. The volume index significantly decreased as the addition amount increased, measuring 14.07 in BS4 (4% BSP) compared to 14.87 of BS2 (2% BSP) in the barley sprout group (p<0.05). In cross-sectional photography, the color became darker than that of the control group as the quantum of additives increased. In terms of the DPPH and ABTS radical scavenging activity, the total phenol content, and total flavonoid content, the groups with the addition of barley sprout and green tea showed higher antioxidant activity than the control group (p<0.05).

녹색 홀그레인 보리, 밀, 찹쌀, 멥쌀 분말을 첨가한 발효유의 특성 (Characterization of fermented milk added with green whole grains of barley, wheat, glutinous rice and common rice powders)

  • Yogurt was prepared from skim milk added with 2, 4 or 6% of green whole grain of barley, wheat, glutinous rice and common rice, respectively. Changes in pH, titratable acidity, viable cell counts and viscosity during fermentation were monitored and its sensory evaluation was also performed. The optimum level of additives such as green whole grain of barley, wheat, glutinous rice and common rice for yogurt manufacture was selected to 2%. The samples added with green whole grain of barley and wheat powders reached pH 4.5 in 12 hours. After 4 hours of fermentation, pH, the viable cell counts and viscosity in samples added with 2% green whole grain of barley, wheat, glutinous rice and common rice powders were the highest. Especially, in overall sensory evaluation using 5 parameters, the sensory scores of glutinous rice and common rice 2% yogurts were significantly high. From this experiment, the additives optimum level of glutinous rice and common rice powders was selected to be 2%.

녹비보리와 헤어리베치 토양투입에 따른 벼 수량 및 토양특성 (Effect of green manure barley and hairy vetch on soil characteristics and rice yield in paddy)

  • This study was conducted at Korea's typical soil, loamy soil, to figure out the effect of how barley green manure (B), hairy vetch (HV) and the mixed-planting hairy vetch with barley green manure (HV/B) affecting on the yield of rice, usage of nutrient and soil characteristics. Supplying amount of nitrogen from HV, HV/B and B were 172.8 kg $ha^{-1}$, 64.3 kg $ha^{-1}$ and 38.6 kg $ha^{-1}$, respectively. Hairy vetch had the highest plant height and SPAD of rice and next was hairy vetch/barley, chemical fertilizer (CF), none fertilizer (NF), and green manure barley. The amount of rice yield was 5.51 ton $ha^{-1}$ with HV, and 4.24 ton $ha^{-1}$ with HV/B. The chemical characteristics of soil showed lower pH and exchangeable cations (Ca and Mg) at B, HV and HV/B plot rather than that of chemical fertilizer (CF) plot. However, the physical characteristics of soil and the porosity rate showed better tendency at the green manure crops than CF. Nitrogen nutrient balance was showed the most balanced at CF, otherwise field of application of green manure crops were required the appropriate nutrition management if future crops would be cultivated because nitrogen nutrient could be devastated or accumulated.

출수 후 일수에 따른 쌀보리 종실의 이화학적 특성 변화 (Changes in Physicochemical Characteristics of Green Barley according to Days after Heading)

  • 쌀보리에서 출수 후 일수에 차이를 두고 풋보리로 수확하여 조제한 미성숙 녹색 보리쌀에 대한 식품소재로서의 가능성을 검토하기 위하여 메성 품종인 새쌀보리와 찰성 품종인 흰찰쌀보리의 일반성분, 유리당, 유리 아미노산, 무기물 및 색도 등을 분석하였다. 출수 후 일수를 달리하여 수확하였을 때 새쌀보리와 흰찰쌀보리의 수분, 조단백, 조지방, 회분, 유리당은 완숙에 가까워질수록 감소하는 경향이었고 조섬유와 전분은 증가하였다. 유리당의 조성을 보면 maltose와 maltotriose의 함량이 다른 유리당보다 높았고, 유리 아미노산은 완숙에 가까워질수록 감소하였으며 유리아미노산 중 alanine의 함량이 가장 높았다. 출수 후 일수가 지날수록 ${\beta}-glucan$ 함량은 증가하였고 색도는 완숙에 가까워질수록 lightness은 감소하였으며, 적색도와 황색도는 증가하였다. 성분과 색도로 판단할 때 출수 후 $26{\sim}27$일에 풋보리 상태의 이삭만 절단하여 끊는 물에 60초 정도 blanching 한 후 건조시켜 보리껍질을 제거한 미성숙 상태의 녹색 보리쌀로 조제하는 것이 적당할 것으로 판단된다.

녹비작물 토양환원이 백수오 생육 및 품질에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Incorporation of Green Manure Crops on Growth and Quality in Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley)

  • Background: The study aimed to obtain data on the effects of cultivation and soil reduction of green manure crop on the quantity and quality of organically cultivated Cynanchum wilfordii Hemsley. Methods and Results: The experiment comprised four treatments: control, hairy vetch, barley, and hairy vetch + barley (3 : 2). The plant height in the hairy vetch treatment (86.3 cm) was significantly different from that in the other treatments, whereas the stem diameter leaf area, and special product analysis division (SPAD) value did not differ across the treatments. The largest soil reduction of green manure crop was recorded in the barley treatment (440 kg/10 a), whereas the smallest was recorded in the single treatment with hairy vetch (80 kg/10 a). The hairy vetch + barley (60 : 40) treatment showed 63% more soil microorganisms than control. Radical scavenging activity estimation revealed that the total polyphenol content was highest (1,740 mg/kg), and the 2,2-diphenyl-1-picrylhydrazyl (DPPH) was 92.6% in the barley treatment. The 2,2′-azino-bis-(3-ethylbenzothiazoline-6-sulfonic acid) (ABTS) activation was highest in the control (51.1%), and the root yield was the highest in the barley treatment (310 kg/10 a). Conclusions: The root yield, total polyphenol content, and antioxidant activity of Cynanchum wilfordii (Maxim.) Hemsley increased in presence of the green manure crop barley.

녹비작물 무 환원-벼 작부체계에서 질소와 인산수지 평가 (Evaluation of Nitrogen and Phosphorus Balance in Green Manure-Rice Cropping Systems without Incorporation of Green Manure Crops)

  • 본 연구는 녹비작물-벼 재배 작부체계에서 볏짚과 녹비작물을 전량 회수하여 사료작물로 활용시 농경지 비옥도 관리를 위한 양분수지를 평가하였다. 녹비보리와 헤어리베치 혼파비율에 따른 녹비작물 생산량은 B75H25에서 가장 높게 나타났다. B75H25 처리구의 벼 수량은 NPK 처리구 대비 90%를 보였다. 녹비작물과 볏짚을 전량 회수시 NPK, B100, B75H25, B50H50, B25H75, H100 처리구의 질소 수지는 각각 2.0, -80.8, -104.0, -93.5, -82.9, 76.2 kg N/ha 이었다. 그리고 질소 수지가 가장 낮은 B75H25 처리구의 인산수지는 -50.3 kg P/ha로 가장 낮았다. 따라서 녹비작물-벼 재배 작부체계에서 녹비작물과 볏짚을 전량 사료로 활용시 농경지 비옥도 유지를 위해서 각각 약 90 kg N /ha, 50 kg P/ha의 질소와 인산 시비가 필요한 것으로 나타났다. 그리고 금후 녹비작물을 사료로 활용하고자 할 경우 화학비료 시용량과 적정 녹비작물의 회수량에 관한 연구가 필요한 것으로 판단된다.
