원적외선 조사가 육계의 생산성, 유해가스 발생량 및 혈액의 생화학적 조성에 미치는 영향 (Effects of Using Far Infrared Ray (FIR) on Growth Performance, Noxious Gas Emission and Blood Biochemical Profiles in Broiler)

  • 원적외선은 자연계의 태양에너지의 한 부분으로 가시광선의 적색영역보다 파장이 월등히 길어서 열작용이 크며, 생체 내 침투력이 강한 파장으로 알려져 있다. 본 연구에서는 육계를 사육하는 과정에서 일정량의 원적외선을 조사하는 방법으로 육계의 건강 증진은 물론, 사육환경의 개선 효과의 가능성을 검정하고자 하였다. 세미브로(Ross ♂ ${\times}$ Hyline ♀) 암수 무감별추 200수를 공시하여 흰색조명, White구(5,000~5,700 K), 흰색조명+원적외선 조사(White+FIR구), 녹색조명, Green구(525~570 nm) 녹색조명+원적외선(Green+FIR구)의 4처리, 처리당 2반복으로 실험을 실시하였다. 전 사육기간 중 증체량과 사료효율은 녹색조명 환경이 백색조명 환경보다 높게 나타나는 경향이 인정되었다. 이러한 증가는 두 조명 모두 원적외선 조사에 의해서 더 증가되는 경향이 인정되었다. 사육장 바닥 깔짚 내 ammonia 및 저급탄화수소의 발생량은 조명의 색깔에 따른 차이는 인정되지 않았지만, 두 조명 모두 원적외선 조사에 의해서 ammonia 및 저급탄화수소의 발생량이 감소하는 경향이 인정되었다. 혈장 내 AST의 농도는 녹색조명 처리구가 백색조명 처리구보다 낮게 나타났으며, 이러한 경향은 두 조명 모두 원적외선의 조사에 의해서 더 감소되어서 백색조명 처리구보다 녹색조명에 원적외선을 조사한 처리구에서 유의하게 낮게 나타났다(P<0.05). 혈액 중 albumin 및 각종 면역 글로블린(LgA, lgG 및 lgM)의 농도는 조명의 차이에 따른 변화는 인정되지 않았지만, 흰색조명, 녹색조명 모두 원적외선 조사에 따라서 증가하는 경향이 나타났다. 결론적으로 육계 사육과정에 원적외선의 조사는 사육환경 개선 및 생리활성물질의 증가에 영향을 미쳐서 생산성을 증가시킬 가능성이 있다고 생각되어진다.

농업경영의 가치사슬 구조에 근거한 지속가능성 연구 (A Sustainability Study Based on Farm Management Value-Chain Structure)

  • This study aimed at finding directions for Korean agriculture to establish a new paradigm of sustainable development. Various problematic issues and concerns in the environment necessitate the transformation of Korea's development paradigm from unconditional growth to "Green Growth" through new policies on green value and review of various advanced researches. In this research, the environment-friendly agriculture's problems, particularly in agribusiness were analyzed. Drawing from Michael Porter's Value Chain Analysis, this research developed a value chain model in agriculture that reflects the environment and the present situations. Future directions in the agriculture sector were also discussed. Korea realized food self-sufficiency through the green revolution in the early 1970s. However, a lot of problems have also occurred, including ground and water pollution and the destruction of ecosystems as a result of the overuse of pesticides and chemical fertilizers. In the late 1970s, the growing interest on environment-friendly agriculture led to the introduction of sustainable methods and techniques. Unfortunately however, these were not innovative enough to foster environment-friendly agriculture. Thereafter, the consumers' distrust on agricultural products has worsened and concerns about health have increased. In view of this, the Ministry of Food, Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries introduced in December 1993 a system of Quality-Certified Products for organic and pesticide-free agri-foods. Although a fundamental step toward the sustainability of the global environment, this system was not enough to promote environment-friendly agriculture. In 2008, Korea's vision is for "Low Carbon Green Growth" to move forward while also coping with climate change. But primary sectors in a typical value chain do not consider the green value of their operations nor look at production from an environmental perspective. In order to attain sustainable development, there is a need to use less resources and energy than what is presently used in Korean agricultural and value production. The typical value chain should be transformed into a "closed-loop" such that the beginning and the end of the chain are linked together. Such structure allows the flow of materials, products and even wastes among participants in the chain in a sustained cycle. This may result in a zero-waste sustainable production without destroying the ecosystem.

그린 소비자를 위한 웰빙 라이프 스타일 채널 브랜드 제안 (Branding for TV Channel Focusing on Well-being Lifestyle of Green Consumers)

  • 종합편성채널의 도입으로 인해 시청자들의 욕구는 점차 다양해지고 있으며 채널 경쟁이 날로 과열되고 있다. 지속적인 웰빙(Well-being)과 그린소비 열풍으로 인해 웰빙 채널에 대한 요구도 높아지고 있다. 국내·외 채널 브랜드 전략 사례 및 국내 웰빙 라이프 프로그램에 관하여 현황조사 결과 현재 우리나라는 의, 식, 주 전반에 관한 웰빙 정보를 제공하는 채널은 존재하지 않으며 교양, 오락 등의 프로그램에서 단편적으로 제공되고 있는 실정임을 파악하고 웰빙 라이프 채널 브랜드 전략을 제안하고 채널 브랜드 마크와 스테이션 ID(station Identification) 제작하였다. 채널 브랜드 전략과 디자인의 객관적 검증을 위해 환경 관련 프로젝트에 참여한 경험이 있는 20대 이상 남녀 50명을 대상으로 사용자 인식조사를 실시하였으며 그 결과 대체로 해당 채널의 필요성과 연구자가 제안한 컨텐츠에 긍정적인 응답을 보였다. 그러나 브랜드마크와 관련된 가독성과 같은 개선의 필요성이 제기되어 이를 개선하였으며 비교 검증 설문을 실시하였다. 그 결과 개선된 브랜드마크에 대해 이전과는 달리 긍정적인 결과가 타나났다. 본 연구가 향후 그린 소비자를 대상으로 한 웰빙 라이프 스타일 채널 제작에 도움이 되길 바란다.

Development of a Test Strip Reader for a Lateral Flow Membrane-based Immunochromatographic Assay

  • A low-cost, simple strip reader system using a linear movement mechanism of CD-ROM deck has been developed to characterize a lateral flow membrane-based immunochromatographic assay. The test strip reader was assembled by a CD-ROM deck and home-made optical head especially designed for immunoassays. The optical head for detecting reflected light from the test strip surface consists of green light-emitting diode, large area silicon photodiode, and anodized aluminum mounting block providing a slit structure for cutting light from the LED. The stepping motor of the deck was operated in the full step mode, whose distance of each reading point is about 0.15mm. The performance of the strip reader was tested by analysis of HBV(hepatitis B virus) antigen test kit. This strip reader can be useful for inexpensive, disposable, and membrane-based assays that provide visual evidence of the presence of an analyte in a liquid sample.

Isolation and Structure Determination of a Proteasome Inhibitory Metabolite from a Culture of Scytonema hofmanni

  • Cyanobacteria, blue-green algae, are a rich source of bioactive secondary metabolites with many potential applications. The ubiquitin-proteasome proteolytic system plays an important role in selective protein degradation and regulates cellular events including apoptosis. Cancer cells are more sensitive to the proapoptotic effects of proteasome inhibition than normal cells. Thus, proteasome inhibitors can be potential anticancer agents. Cyanobacteria have been shown to be a rich source of highly effective inhibitors of proteases. A proteasome inhibitor was screened from an extract of the culture of Scytonema hofmanni on the basis of its inhibitory activity, which led to the isolation of nostodione A with an $IC_{50}$ value of 50${\mu}M$. Its structure was determined by spectroscopic methods such as $^{1}H$-NMR and ESI-MS spectral analyses.

  • Rural tourism is primarily a domestic tourism activity with visitors traveling to non-urban area. Therefore, local agricultural and special products as one of rural amenity resources have been used revisitation carriers of rural tourism. For these purpose, this study selected Cheongsong-gun in Gyeongsang province, which has been famous for Cheongsong apple and planned space program on that sites as on-farm research. The sites are divided into 6 districts, agricultural production, leisure, cultural space, events or festival, green space, infrastructure for local residents and tourists. Above all, this study led local government to develop related policies using local agricultural and special products, which can be an example to plan for regional development.

개인색채 유형에 따라 어울리는 의복색 경향 (The Trend of Clothing Colors Fitted for Personal Color Types)

  • This paper is to investigate and analyze the clothing colors fitted for personal color types and to help consumers express individual characteristics by clothing colors suitable for themselves. The comparison of sixty three clothing colors with three personal color types. and investigation and analysis of the best clothing colors of each type have led to the following results. Those belong to warm Personal Color Type don't have a variety of choices for clothing colors. so they should be careful of choosing clothing colors. They will do well to choose dark tone colors for their clothing. Those of Cold Personal color Type have a wide range of choices for clothing colors. They have an advantage of expressing themselves in various ways. Neutrals, Blue and Yellow have been found to go well with them. Those of Mixed Personal Type are advised to wear bright and pale tone colors such as Purple, Green, and Red. It will be desirable that the choice of clothing colors should conform to each personal color for the tones of clothing colors should conform to each personal color for the tones of clothing colors make difference according to personal color types.

  • Optimal Driving of Photo-Sensor for Control of a Mixed Environment was realized. The control system was carried out to investigate into the characteristics of Real time control of temperature and humidity at sprouts cutivators. Especially, for led's control for the cultivation of sprouts we have composed a Combined Automatic Control System possible for the control of temperature and humidity at the same time. The applied Photo-Sensor measurement are blue, green, red, white, yellow leds. And we had also designed the Web Programming for the automatic control about sprouts plants.

농촌마을의 농촌관광 시행에 따른 인구유입효과에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Influx of Population by Rural Tourism in Rural Village)

  • Settlement problems in rural area are gradually becoming more intense due to decreasing agricultural income led by market globalization. Rural tourism is considered as one of alternatives for complementing agricultural income. In this study, we analyzed the relation of rural development project and the influx of population on green tourism villages. Results show that the influx of population in rural area is related with project cost, tourism income, visiting numbers, and ratio of labor population. With these results, we modified rural population model for estimating future rural population. Adapted result to Buraemi village by modified model showed that estimation error can be decreased from 7.23% to 0.95%.

오일 열화 진행에 따른 오일의 색채 특성 변화 (Change in Chromatic Characteristics with the Oil Degradation)

  • In this work, a simple and low cost sensor technique is proposed to test oil color in real time using in-line sensor. It is presented to use a ratio of intensity in red wavelength range to intensities of green and blue wavelength ranges (defined as a 'chromatic ratio') in order to estimate the oil color change. The proposed sensor technique is realized by irradiating a white LED as light source and a RGB color sensor as photoreceiver, and the chromatic ratio of various types of used oils are measured. The results show that chromatic ratio generally reflects chemical deterioration of oil, including oil oxidation and thermal degradation. It is concluded that the proposed sensor could be used for an effective oil monitoring technology.
