Plants under the genus Orostachys have been known as medicinal plants. This study deems to determine the growth and leaf color of Orostachys japonica and O. boehmeri when subjected to various LED light sources. A total of seven LED light treatments were used, i.e. red (630 nm), green (520 nm), blue (450 nm), purple (650 and 450 nm), 3000 K white (455, 600 nm), 4100 K white (455, 590 nm), and 6500 K white (450, 545 nm) LEDs. Results showed that O. japonica plants showed favorable growth under 4100 K white LED, while O. boehmeri plants had a positive growth response under white light LEDs (3000, 4100, and 6500 K). In leaf color analysis, the use of green LED showed the greatest change in CIELAB L* and b* values which were relatively higher compared to other treatments indicating that leaves turned yellowish. Further statistical analysis using Pearson's correlation also suggested that there is a small negative association between dry weight and b* values of O. japonica, and a negative moderate association between plant weights (fresh and dry weight) and leaf color (L* and b*) and positive association between said plant weights and a* color values of O. boehmeri. Therefore, it is recommended to cultivate O. japonica under 4100 K white LED and O. boehmeri under 3000, 4100, 6500 K white LEDs.
We have studied the mycelia growth of four soil-borne fungal pathogens under light qualities and two lighting types (continuous and intermittent) provided by light-emitting diodes (LEDs). As a result, each mycelia growth on Phytophthora cactorum KACC40166, Athelia rolfsii KACC40170, and Helicobasidium mompa KACC40836 strain showed the similar growth rates within 10% or less difference among treatments compared to dark control, regardless of lighting types. However, the mycelia growth on Rosellinia necatrix KACC40168 strain was significantly suppressed by blue, blue+green and blue+red LED as well as fluorescent lamp compared to a dark control, in common with lighting types. The melanin pigment on R. necatrix KACC40168 strain showed relatively to induce more strongly under green LED and fluorescent lamp, whereas no induction under red LED and a control, regardless of lighting types. Thus, the hypha width on R. necatrix KACC40168 was significantly thinned by blue and blue+green LED compared to a control, in common with lighting types.
In this paper, we prevent a display quality drop for image of characteristics brightness ununiformity depend on LED use to LED vision. It is about that method also a control system development equipped with brightness compensation function of LED vision which is done easily for LED set up of LED vision. Generally, It is calculate driving current value is attended by each brightness to brightness characteristics mathematical function establish by "Y=aX+b", When is doing brightness value for "Y", driving current value for "X", brightness compensation value by using time for "b", characteristics value for "a" ground with characteristics curve of LED. So much, First It is create brightness data of each pixel take a photograph red, green and blue of LED vision. Second It is get average error about each pixel which get average brightness value of entire. Last, It is handle a complicated for about gradationally regulation to color and brightness of image send to LED vision. Also It raise the whole average brightness value of vision adjust for "b" value to solve brightness drop problem of LED using the long time.

This paper proposes a driving current control method for a back light unit (BLU), consisting of red, green, and blue (RGB) light-emitting diodes (LEDs), whereby an RGB optical sensor is used to check the output color stimulus variation to enable a time-stable color stimulus for light emission by the RGB LED BLU. First, to obtain the present color stimulus information of the RGB LED BLU, an RGB to XYZ transform matrix is derived to enable CIEXYZ values to be calculated for the RGB LED BLU from the output values of an RGB optical sensor. The elements of the RGB to XYZ transform matrix are polynomial coefficients resulting from a polynomial regression. Next, to obtain the proper duty control values for the current supplied to the RGB LEDs, an XYZ to Duty transform matrix is derived to calculate the duty control values for the RGB LEDs from the target CIEXYZ values. The data used to derive the XYZ to Duty transform matrix are the CIEXYZ values for the RGB LED BLU estimated from the output values of the RGB optical sensor and corresponding duty control values applied to the RGB LEDs for the present, first preceding, and second preceding sequential check points. With every fixed-interval check of the color stimulus of the RGB LED BLU, the XYZ to Duty transform matrix changes adaptively according to the present lighting condition of the RGB LED BLU, thereby allowing the RGB LED BLU to emit the target color stimulus in a time-stable format regardless of changes in the lighting condition of the RGB LEDs.
We have synthesized bluish-green, highly-efficient $BaSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^{2+}$ and $(Ba,Sr)Si_2O_2N_2:Eu^{2+}$ phosphors through a conventional solid state reaction method using metal carbonate, $Si_3N_4$, and $Eu_2O_3$ as raw materials. The X-ray diffraction (XRD) pattern of these phosphors revealed that a $BaSi_2O_2N_2$ single phase was obtained. The excitation and emission spectra showed typical broadband excitation and emission resulting from the 5d to 4f transition of $Eu^{2+}$. These phosphors absorb blue light at around 450 nm and emit bluish-green luminescence, with a peak wavelength at around 495 nm. From the results of an experiment involving Eu concentration quenching, the relative PL intensity was reduced dramatically for Eu = 0.033. A small substitution of Sr in place of Ba increased the relative emission intensity of the phosphor. We prepared several white LEDs through a combination of $BaSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^{2+}$, YAG:$Ce^{3+}$, and silicone resin with a blue InGaN-based LED. In the case of only the YAG:$Ce^{3+}$-converted LED, the color rendering index was 73.4 and the efficiency was 127 lm/W. In contrast, in the YAG:$Ce^{3+}$ and $BaSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^{2+}$-converted LED, two distinct emission bands from InGaN (450 nm) and the two phosphors (475-750 nm) are observed, and combine to give a spectrum that appears white to the naked eye. The range of the color rendering index and the efficiency were 79.7-81.2 and 117-128 lm/W, respectively. The increased values of the color rendering index indicate that the two phosphor-converted LEDs have improved bluish-green emission compared to the YAG:Ce-converted LED. As such, the $BaSi_2O_2N_2:Eu^{2+}$ phosphor is applicable to white high-rendered LEDs for solid state lighting.
We investigated the effects of piezoelectric field on the electro-absorption characteristics in InGaN/GaN multiple-quantum well (MQW) green light emitting diodes (LED). Double crystal X-ray diffraction measurement was performed to study the crystalline property and indium (In) composition in the MQW active layer. To measure the electro-luminescence and electro-reflectance (ER) spectroscopy, we fabricated the $1{\times}1\;mm^2$ large-area green LED chip. The piezoelectric field inside the LED structure was evaluated from the Vcomp in active layer by the ER spectra. Finally, we analyzed the electro-absorption characteristics of the green LED by using the photo-current spectroscopy.
Purpose: We developed a viability evaluation method for cucumber (Cucumis sativus) seed using hyperspectral reflectance imaging. Methods: Reflectance spectra of cucumber seeds in the 400 to 1000 nm range were collected from hyperspectral reflectance images obtained using blue, green, and red LED illumination. A partial least squares-discriminant analysis (PLS-DA) was developed to predict viable and non-viable seeds. Various ranges of spectra induced by four types of LEDs (Blue, Green, Red, and RGB) were investigated to develop the classification models. Results: PLS-DA models for spectra in the 600 to 700 nm range showed 98.5% discrimination accuracy for both viable and non-viable seeds. Using images based on the PLS-DA model, the discrimination accuracy for viable and non-viable seeds was 100% and 99%, respectively Conclusions: Hyperspectral reflectance images made using LED light can be used to select high quality cucumber seeds.
This study was conducted to identify a suitable color of light for development of the fruit body in Hypsizygus marmoreus. To accomplish this, samples were irradiated with blue (475 nm), green (525 nm), yellow (590 nm), or red (660 nm) light emitting diodes (LEDs) to induce the formation of fruiting bodies after mycelia growth. The diameter and thickness of the pileus and length of stipes in samples subjected to blue LED treatment were similar to those of subjected to fluorescent light (control), and the lengths of the stipes were highest in response to treatment with the red LED and darkness. The commercial yields of plants subjected to blue and green LED treatment were similar to those of the control. In conclusion, cultivation of H. marmoreus coupled with exposure to blue LED is useful for inducing high quality fruit bodies as well as higher levels of ergosterol, DPPH radical scavenging activity, total polyphenol content and reducing power.
