  • 본 논문에서는 연속 공정자동화를 위한 시스템 제어장치 중 공정의 제반운영 및 제어상태를 감시하기 위하여 공정상태를 나타내는 여러가지의 data를 그래픽 모니터상에 graphics로 표시해 주는 User Interface System인 Operator Terminal의 설계 및 구현을 다룬다. 이를 위하여 Operator Terminal은 출력장치로 VGA board와 color monitor, 입력장치로는 mouse와 function keyboard, 통신을 위한 RS232C serial port를 갖는 IBM-PC AT급의 mother board로 구성된다. 또한 program 저장은 상위 computer의 HDD를 이용한다. 그래픽 편집 및 모니터링을 위한 software는 한글 MS Windows 환경에서 구현한다.

  • The object of this research is to develop an interactive computerized graphic program for graphic output of velocity, acceleration and motion range of body task reference point. Human motions can be reproduced by scanning (rate = 1/60) the vidicon image, at same time, C.O.G of body segment group, and the results are stored in an Apple II P.C. memory. The results of this study can he exteneded to simulation and reproduction of human motions for optimal task design.

  • In this paper, a new semi-automated cyber character generating method is presented. Local edge detection tools extract face contour from graphic image files. Some graphic manipulation process detailed touch to obtain neat face contour. This method shortens the making process dramatically while maintaining the good quality similar to real face image. Some of the processed images are illustrated for clear explanation.

  • 고성능의 3차원 그래픽 가속기 설계를 위해서는 어플리케이션, 하드웨어 구조, 수행모델 채택, 설계비용 등의 다양한 고려사항이 요구되고 따라서 각 모델에 따른 사전 시뮬레이션 환경구축은 반드시 필요하다. 이에 본 논문에서는 기본적인 3차원 그래픽 파이프라인 작업을 수행하여 다양한 결과를 보여주는 이식성 높은 시뮬레이션 환경을 제공함으로써 3차원 그래픽 가속하드웨어 세부모듈 설계에 필요한 설계 고려사항을 효과적으로 제시할 수 있게 하였다.

  • The purpose of this research is to gain a more in depth understanding of human behavior by comparing synthesis strategies of novice and expert graphic designers for coloring process using analogue and digital tools, with some practical test/examples. In this paper, we present an exploratory protocol study on the use of different communication channels during main process of Graphic Design. We focus on how individual designers use their design skills to complete the coloring process task, and analyze their use of graphical, coloring and verbal communications during concept generation. The implication of this study from the findings will be implemented to design curriculum. If we can find out and understand the nature of the practical design process, we can apply or adjust the result of this research as a guideline for design curriculum in the future.

An Interactive Design System for Construction of Superyacht Profiles based on Freeform Curve Functionality (자유곡선의 모델링기능을 활용한 대화식 수퍼요트 프로파일 설계시스템 개발)

  • As a preliminary step to build a complete superyacht hull design program, the development of superyacht profile design system is introduced. The two-dimensional hull profile is decomposed into four local zones depending upon the functionality and connecting continuity of the profile. Characteristics of each zone are investigated and used to generate the model describing the geometric shape of zone using freeform curves. A set of design parameters is derived from the established geometric model. Generation and modification of a model are is by manipulating the chosen parameters. Four zones designed are integrated to form a final profile. An interactive design system performing all the modeling and modification processes is implemented using the graphic user interface system based an Microsoft Foundation Class and OpenCASCADE, a open graphic library. The shapes of the profiles generated by the developed design system are verified with those of built superyachts. The developed design system will be used for the construction of three-dimensional superyacht hull modeling system.

  • This paper presents computer graphics applying the traditional Korean house(Hanok) style interior to unit-care space of Welfare Facility and proposes the possibility as interior design and construction materials. In this paper, the proposed computer graphic-based model is a single-story building that provides convenient traffic between rooms. Computer graphic-based model is presented by Auto CAD, 3D program (Sketch-UP v.8), rendering program (Podium v.2) based on the traditional Korean house and related work of unit-care welfare facility. Computer graphic-based model that combined unit-care and the traditional Korean house has the following characteristics. In each room of living space, wallpaper and flooring Korean paper(Hnaji) is considered and windows, door, furniture of traditional pattern were placed. The living room(Daechung) that is representative of the traditional Korean house and the corridor (toenmaru) are the elements to save the image of the traditional Korean house as much as possible. Especially, the corridor (toenmaru) is placed to conveniently use in nursing-care facility and home-care support facility. A public space is placed around the inside court (An-madang), while the living space (unit-care) has a sense of independence by separation. Bathroom and kitchen have a modern design for functionality than aesthetic elements.

The Effect of Foot-bath on Fatigue in Nursing Students on Clinical Practice (족욕이 간호대학생의 임상실습 피로 경감에 미치는 효과)

  • The purpose of this study was to identify the effects of foot-bath on fatigue of nursing students in clinical practice. method: The research design was a nonequivalent control group pretest-posttest design. The subjects were randomly assigned to one of four groups and data collection was conducted from June to August 2001. For the experimental group the foot-bath was performed once a day for 3 days. The instrument was subjective fatigue scale and 150mm graphic rating scale. For four groups pretest was done on first day and posttest was done on third day. The data was analyzed by the t-test and paired t-test. results: The subjective fatigue scale score was not significantly after the foot-bath in day duty but significantly lower after the foot-bath in evening duty. The graphic rating scale score was significantly lower after the foot-bath. The subjective fatigue scale score and graphic rating scale score on 1st, 3rd foot-bath day were significantly lower in experimental group. conclusion: On the basis of the above findings, this study suggests that foot-bath can be an effective fatigue relieving method.

  • To process computer graphics in real time, the high-speed operations(multiplier and adder) are needed to increase the speed of graphic process. RNS(Residue Number System) is integer number system that has the parallel and high-speed operation. Also, it is able to design both high-speed multiplier and adder, since a cyclic group has an isomorphic relation between multiplication and addition in RNS. So in this paper, DRNS(Double Residue Number System) is proposed, it is used for the multiplier and the adder, which are designed using a circulative code for the high-speed graphic processor in RNS. The designed multiplier would operate with the speed of 87Mzz two TTL using 74s09 and 74s32.
